it is not a group thing. For me,i follow and believe in Jesus only. He is my pastor. The Holy Spirit is my guide and teacher. All you need is to follow Jesus teachings as recorded in Matthew,Mark,Luke and John only. Its an independent thing,you and the Holy Spirit. All i do with my post is to reveal Jesus,and i redirect them back to Jesus' teachings because Jesus said if you continue in my words,then you are my disciple. John 8:31.

there is no name,no congregation,no church, no pastor. As disciples of Jesus,we are to follow Jesus and His teachings only. According to Jesus, His disciples,sheep will only recognize His voice and will follow Him only. They will not follow any stranger like Paul and others. Jesus is their only shepherd(PASTOR). Jesus is my evidence, His teachings is what I relay here. I am not teaching my gospel,i am simply witnessing Jesus to the world. I am not asking anyone to learn from me,i am showing people that they are only to learn from Jesus only,not from anyone else. Jesus never left heaven to come to earth to come and establish another religion called CHRISTIANITY. Christianity was founded by Paul. At antioch,after Paul taught those believers for a year,then they came up a name for them. In summary,Paul's disciples are first called CHRISTIANS,they were not disciples of Jesus.

Jesus while He was on earth defined or specified who His family are and who the family of His disciples should be.
According to Jesus in John 3, while He was talking to Nicodemus. He explained the concept of being born again. He said to be born again is to born from above,born by the Spirit.
Jesus replied, "I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:3
5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

To be born again is to be born anew,born the second time. That was why Nicodemus asked this sincere question.
Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother's womb and be born a second time, can he?"

Being born the second time is to be born SPIRITUALLY,a spiritual birth. For we all know that the first birth was PHYSICAL.
At the first birth,you were begotten by your earthly parents.
At this second birth,you will be begotten by God. He is your father.
At the first birth,your siblings (i.e your brothers and sisters) are your earthly parents children.
At this second birth,your siblings are God's children (those that do the will of God Matt 12:49-50).
Jesus defined who His family were while on earth.
He never at any point called Joseph His father Luke 2:49. Anytime He use the word my Father,He was only and always referring to God. He went further by saying

He also never called Mary His mother at any point John 2:4. He also went further to declare who His mother,brothers and sisters are.

He said a disciple is not greater than His master. John 15:20. His disciples mother,brothers and sisters are those who do the will of God. Matt 12:48-50.
And whoever has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.

If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, and wife and children, and brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.

Jesus was making emphasis on who His disciples true families are.
Summary:
As a disciple of Jesus,your family are those that does the will of God and God is your Father.
Jesus as a good master,He led by example. So as His disciple,you are to follow suit because a servant is not greater than His master.

Will of God may also said to be what He wants,desires.
God's optimum will is for His children to come home,to believe in Him and in Jesus that He sent. He did not want His children to be comfortable on this earth(far country). Just as in the parable of the prodigal son,the father wishes his son to come. Luke 15:11-24
16 So Jesus replied, "My teaching is not from me, but from the one who sent me. 17 If anyone wants to do God's will, he will know about my teaching, whether it is from God or whether I speak from my own authority.

The very place to know the will of God is in the teachings of Jesus.
People have mistaken the will of man for the will of God. There are two parallel lines that can never meet.
But Jesus said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in men's eyes, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly prized among men is utterly detestable in God's sight.

The will of man is to be rich,very wealthy,comfortable.
The will of God is for man is to be poor,uncomfortable in this so that He will come home.(case study the prodigal son). Then he looked up at his disciples and said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for the kingdom of God belongs to you.

But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your comfort already.
Luke 6:24
Again I say, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of God."

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although he was rich, he became poor for your sakes, so that you by his poverty could become rich. This is evil and a lie. Jesus never became poor for you to be rich. Jesus never taught that. As i said earlier,the will of God is for His own is to be poor in this earth and rich in heaven.
There is also a very popular saying,if you are poor on earth,there is tendency to be poor in heaven. Poor Lazarus was poor on earth and also poor in heaven/ paradise because the rich begged Abraham to ask Lazarus to dip his hand inside water. They do say he served on earth and also in paradise. They have forgotten the the reply Abraham gave the rich man.
But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things and Lazarus likewise bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in anguish.

Talking about the poor,i don't mean every poor people. Even most poor people wish and pray to be rich. The poor are Jesus disciples that chose to be poor rather to be rich . They do this because it is the will of The father.
The will of man is to lay up treasures on earth,build houses,mansion,have very fat bank accounts,own shares in companies,have fleet of cars. Some even say,i just want to be comfortable. At least a house,two cars etc. This is evil.
The will of God is for man to lay his treasures in heaven.
19 "Do not lay for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But lay for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.
Matt 6:19-20.
Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

In the same way therefore not one of you can be my disciple if he does not renounce all his own possessions.

The will of man is to live long on earth,to save his life on earth. No wonder,Peter rebuke Jesus when He wanted to die. All men wants to live long earth. Whenever i tell people that i don't pray to live long,they always rebuke me. Matt 16:21-22.h
The will of God is for man to lose his life on this earth,not to be comfortable to this world.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

God want His own to love Home (heaven),to and hate this far country (this earth),not be comfortable here as Jesus was not comfortable.
Jesus led by example by choosing to go home rather than staying back in this far country. He chose death because that is the only way back to God(not suicide). He never chose life by jumping down from the cross while He was tempted to save His life. Like Jesus,His disciples are also tempted always to save their lifes in this far country.

What gibberish are you spewing for crying out loud! You can't agree with the gospels and disagree with the epistles! The Bible says "ALL scripture is given by the inspiration of God.." not "the gospels is only given by the inspiration of God"!

2 Tim 3:16, Paul said all scriptures were given by the inspiration of God. Paul was referring to the Hebrew scriptures (old testament -laws and prophets) only.
As at the time Paul was writing this second letter to timothy,there was nothing called the protestants bible(66 books) nor catholic or Ethiopian bible. Paul was writing a letter to timothy,he never knew his letters will be canonized by the council of Nicaea. Pls do check my post SCRIPTURES ARE SIGNPOSTS TO GET MORE CLARITY.

I charge you viewers or readers this day, who will follow today? Is it Jesus or Religion (Christianity,Islam,Judaism to mention few). But i advice and encourage you to follow Jesus because He is the way,truth and the life. His words are spirit and they are life. Believe in Him and continue in His teachings as recorded in Matthew,Mark,Luke and John only.

And if anyone will not welcome you or listen to your message, shake the dust off your feet as you leave that house or that town.

He asked Peter to feed His sheep. By the way,are you Peter or was Paul Peter. It is given to Peter specifically. Peter i guess was the eldest,it is the same as saying Peter look after your younger ones because they are brothers (disciples of Jesus). Jesus is the only Shepherd.
