Churches are not drugs that are recommended.. You pray about that, and the holy spirit would lead You appropriately. Different churches have their fundamental teachings, some focus exclusively on prosperity, others on righteousness, some on spiritual warfare, etc. But be aware that It is jesus that saves You, not your works, offerings, prayers.. You must also avoid churches Where attention is shifted to secondary deities such as relics and images, holy oil, holy slippers, etc . All that is essential is jesus.. You are an adult so I presume You would recognise false teachings When You hear them..

This thread has become advert ridden.. This explains the mentality of modern christians, we are more interested in populating our churches but not heaven! I continue to emphasize that jesus should be the deciding factor on the church you'll attend! If the teachings go contrary to even one of jesus teachings, you're in the wrong party

jansie: tanks all i appreciate. am not against preaching sin or hell cos i know they are fundamental christian doctrines bt preaching it every monday, wednesday, friday n sunday services. haba! i attended a church where d pastor listed about over 100 sins in d bible n said if u fault even 1 of dem. u wont go 2 heaven. but even wit d consistency of dis msg, members stil commit d uncommitables. i believe one should always hav d desire 2 go 2 church in aspiration of hearing something new and not d same old doctrines. i also believe dat a church shud edify, comfort n exhorts, not just exhorting, exhorting, exhorting.

But I Can safely say that the book is not healthy.. All you need to survive are compressed into that name Jesus. You've heard about the jewish kabbalists, they use the torah and other sacred texts to perform enchantments, and it works for them! God knows why

In The church where apostle paul declared that women should be silent, is It not possible that The women were known to be rowdy? And considering that It was The only instance such a declaration was given.. We should also look a jewish tradition at that time, women played a nominal role in The society, lets leave it at that... But the same scripture states that, " in the end time, i'll pour my spirit upon all flesh", so it doesn't really matter who works for God as long as your works are acceptable and you dont work in error.. I dont think you would find sacred names of God in the 6th and 7th.. Most importantly, you would never find the name 'Jesus' inside.. The torah was passed down among The israelites, there were many instances in the old and new testament Where the torah was read.. If the psalmsist cited the torah, that doesn't transfer authorship to moses.. The torah was a reference book or guide

1. rccg: too much emphasis on hell n sin. I used to go to one where d pastor spoke so much on hell we startd callin him pastor `hell is real'. i later stopped goin
2. MFM:they war too many spiritual warfares n they are too demon-conscious
3. new generational churches:most are copycats of themselves but i still sense something missing. there is no balance.

It seems like a very interesting case, from your points above, I think we have divergent views on why people go to church.. I go to church so I could listen to God's word, so I can praise him in his house, in order to avoid temptations that would make me dishonour the sabbath day, and lastly to obey his word that says " we should not avoid the communion of saints'' . But you seek a church Where you can display your hair, when the bible clearly states that women should cover their hair. You want a church that doesn't emphasize on sin... What is our goal as christians? To make heaven, right? Sin stops you from making heaven.. Sin makes your whole sunday labour a waste of time... " seek ye first the kingdom of God... " you cant do that in sin. Note that hell Is really real. The issue of warfare, for some can be ignored, It depends on your background especially. When you come from a hostile polygamous setting, mfm Is The place for you. But some people are lucky, they have never encountered witchcraft and all that go with It, these are The ones that shout that It doesn't exist, some even say there's no God. The bible recognises principalities and powers, and spiritual wickedness, and mfm Is out to tackle these things.. Not all new generation churches are genuine, we all know this... Enough said on that . Finally, The church is just a building, It shouldn't concern you if the members are falling aside, What matters is your personal relationship with God. Just look for a bible believing church to fellowship with.. As I said earlier, I think you need JESUS. Thank God you didn't add W I F I as a condition too

The books of moses should not be confused with " The book of moses".this is another different text with additions used by the mormons.. The issue of psalms doesn't really come in...
