QatarPlayboy:
Thanks malami jare. u knw book. either devil(pdp) likes it or nt, Kogi must be added to apc controlled states. LETS SEE HOW DOKPESI AND PDP WOULD RISE AGAIN.

SATAN(PDP) DON FALL FOR GUTTER, MATCH AM MATCH AM
... And how does it improve your general standard of living? so it's no longer about good governance, its about the number of States being CONTROLLED by a particular political party right?
PoliticsRe: INEC Weighs Its Options On Kogi, Lawyers Disagree:thisday by Rexology: 7:38pm On Nov 23, 2015
free2ryhme:
The INEC rule that election is inconclusive, if the number of votes cancelled and, or where elections had not taken place, is more than the difference between the two leading parties/candidates is incurably faulty.
Registered voters for now, does not translate into persons with intent to vote in any election, registered voters with intent to vote, are those that have collected their PVC (permanent voters card).
Those with PVCs are persons assumed to be potential voters, while those registered, but without PVCs are out of the game. Out of the 49,000 registered voters, how many have collected their PVCs? Is the number of registered voters with PVCs amongst the 49,000 registered voters enough to render the election inconclusive? INEC has its job cut out here, they have to dig deep, or else the Courts should help them.
Was Kogi state gubernatorial election wrongly declared inconclusive?
You have a point here, however, wether all the registered voters in those affected areas collected their PVC or not, the rule of the game as it stands today said "REGISTERED VOTERS " and not 'Voters with PVC'. I think going forward, it should be amended to be 'Voters with PVC' rather than "REGISTERED VOTERS " because a voter without a PVC is not eligible to vote, since INEC have insisted from the 2015 General election that only PVC MUST be used as against 2011 General election when TVC was used. I think by 2019 General election, INEC should effect the change.

warrior01:
I think the guy is actually right. The election was declared inconclusive thereby making the late Audu a mere candidate of one of the contending political parties. With his death, a new election will be called on a later date
Anybody can express his or her personal OPINION on this scenario, but no provision of any law envisaged this scenario. It's a lacuna in our Constitution and Electoral Act. A death of a candidate before an election is different from a death of a candidate at the middle of an election. That guy claims he knows much when he is only wallowing in ignorance ignorantly.

If I should go by statement, I must be a lawyer before I know the law?
Funny.
I told you there is no provision of any law for this scenario and there you are arguing what you know nothing about. What type of attitude is that?
PoliticsRe: If A Governorship Aspirant Dies Before Election Result Is Declare . by Rexology: 10:47pm On Nov 22, 2015
001ng:
The law already provided for this scenario in the electoral law concerning death of "a candidate".
Remember Audu is still a candidate.
Even if it was the PPA guy that died before the declaration of the result, a fresh election will be conducted. It's as simple as ABCD.
Stop arguing, there is no provision of any known law in Nigeria for this scenario. I bet you are not even a Law student not to talk of a Lawyer, because a Law student understands better.
PoliticsRe: If A Governorship Aspirant Dies Before Election Result Is Declare . by Rexology: 10:03pm On Nov 22, 2015
No Law in Nigeria provides for this scenario,. Its a Lacuna in our Constitution and Electoral Act , therefore whatever anybody is saying on this scenario is just an expression of his or her personal OPINION.

BTW..... . Why e be say for Nigerian news, when people thief, dem go blur their face or crop d picture beyond recognitionhuh Is it that they don't want us to see their faces when they are to be disgraced publicly or they are indirectly encouraging them to steal morehuh
It's because at that stage, they are presumed innocent until otherwise proofed by a court of competent jurisdiction. They are suspects at that stage. If you expose their faces on the media and they turned out to be innocent indeed, they can press charges against the NPF or any Agency of Govt that was involved.

This is not the whole truth about the Igbos. I will prefer an average Hausa muslem man to an average Igbo man, any day and any time. If the Hausas are the ones controlling trading in Nigeria, like the Igbos , the general price index would have been low.

Before you think I don't know what am saying, quote me in Igbo language... and I will definitely reply you in that language.

Teespice:
no, he won't be governor.

the speaker would assume the office of governor pending when fresh elections are conducted.
Like I said, the electoral act gives him the opportunity to exhaust ALL his right to Appeal, and until he exhausts ALL his right to Appeal, he is still the Governor of Rivers State.
That's the position of the Law.
PoliticsRe: Guber Tribunal Judgement: We’ve Been Vindicated – Rivers APC by Rexology: 3:11pm On Oct 24, 2015

The Speaker HOA will act.... He is no longer a governor.
Electoral Act gives him the opportunity to exhaust his right to Appeal while he is still recognized as the Governor of Rivers State. Therefore Wike is still the Governor of Rivers State until he exhausts all his right to Appeal.

Whereas Nigerians are being killed on daily basis by Boko Haram insurgents,
Whereas the economy is going down on daily basis,
Whereas the unemployment rate is skyrocketing,
Whereas our health sector is in sorry-state,
Whereas our education sector is becoming worst,
Whereas the poverty rate is on the rise, our so -called leaders are busy fighting for one position or the other for selfish interest.
The common man in Nigeria does not care who is the President, Senate President, Speaker, Minister etc, what he cares is GOOD GOVERNANCE.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Military Issues Third “final” Warning To Boko Haram by Rexology: 3:51pm On Oct 23, 2015
On the contrary, its Boko Haram that should be warning the Military to get off their way. I have said it before and am saying it now that insurgents will only multiply as we approach the so-called deadline.

PoliticsRe: "I Have Never Collected Bribe In My Life" - Rotimi Amaechi by Rexology: 6:34pm On Oct 22, 2015
Everyone in Nigeria keep saying that Nigerian leaders are corrupt, the Nigerian leaders on their own side keep saying that corruption has eaten deep in our Nation's fibre, Therefore it seems that nobody is actually corrupt in Nigeria. Then where is the corruption in Nigeria coming from?
PoliticsRe: Celebration After Amaechi's Ministerial Screening (pictures) by Rexology: 6:09pm On Oct 22, 2015
Immediately after his so-called screening, I heard a loud voice shouting "we don win" and I asked myself what did they win? I do not blame all these Politicians, I rather blame the Nigerian people that always allow these Politicians to continue to ride on us. Tomorrow you will see Amaechi and Wike eating from the same table and be laughing to us (the common Nigerians).
Who would have thought that Tinubu and Buhari would even belong to the same political party? At the end of the day, the big losers are the common Nigerian people, whereas the Politicians continue to gain more and more.
The real change MUST start from the Common Nigerian people. These politicians understand that the more the poverty in the land, the more advantage they have.

PoliticsRe: Saraki Begs Tinubu; Is Now Ready To Respect Leaders Position by Rexology: 5:12pm On Oct 21, 2015
@Op if the CCB case against Tinubu at the CCT did not survive, Saraki's case CANNOT survive as well, therefore wake up from the dream of seeing Saraki in jail. This is because the same mistake CCB made in Tinubu's case that made the case not to survive at CCT was the same mistake the CCB made in Saraki's case.
The mistake is the failure of CCB to inform the person BEFORE going to CCT. It's a procedural mistake on the side of CCB.
PoliticsRe: Saraki At Tribunal With 81 Senators - TheCable by Rexology: 12:47pm On Oct 21, 2015
NgeneUkwenu:
Ok! But the court entertained the case albeit briefly?
No, the CCT did not entertain the case, they did not hear the case today, (entertaining a case means proceedings ), and there was no proceedings on the matter today. Do not forget that the trial in CCT was scheduled to COMMENCE today, but it did not commence, which means it had NEVER commenced and will NOT commence until Appeal Court delivers its judgment irrespective of the time it will take.
I still demand for an apology from you.
PoliticsRe: Breaking News CCT Postponed Saraki's Hearing Till November 5th and 6th !!! by Rexology:
Until Appeal Court delivers its judgment, the CCT CANNOT proceed. If the Appeal Court delayed the judgment till next year, the CCT MUST wait till next year. Therefore the commencement of the trial proceedings of the CCT is wholly and exclusively dependent on the judgment of the Appeal Court. It's a principle of jurisprudence.

NgeneUkwenu:
"You said the court Would not sit" but the court sat and adjourned till November 5th and 6th...
My dear when you hear 'court sitting' it means sitting to commence business of the day on a particular matter , which means commencing the proceedings on a particular matter . Not mere sitting down in the court. A court could have 3 different cases to attend to in a day. Sitting means to entertain a particular case. Was there any proceedings on the trial today? I still insist you apologize to me now.
PoliticsRe: Judgement In Saraki’s Appeal Adjourned Indefinitely by Rexology: 11:51am On Oct 21, 2015
duwdu:
This is wrong. The Court of Appeal is NOT hearing the same case as the CCT is trying; in other words, the CoA is NOT trying Senator Saraki. The CoA is trying to determine whether Saraki's trial at the CCT can or cannot continue. Big difference. Until the CoA makes a pronouncement on the matter and expressly stops the CCT from continuing with the case, Saraki's trial at the CCT continues.

It is de-ja-vu again... Reminds one of some uninformed guys' interpretation of the first pronouncement of the then moribund Federal High Court on essentially the same subject matter. That funny judge eventually eased himself out of the case, while saying his court never at any time stopped Saraki's trial before the CCT, contrary to what some were feeding to the public.

P34c3
.....
...
You and I who is wrong now? I said it in my submission that CCT MUST wait for the judgment of Appeal Court, you said I was wrong. If you are a Lawyer, you need to up your game espercially in the areas of legal interpretations and try to separate politics from Law, if you are a Law student, you need to read more.

Rexology, why were you teaching us nonsense on the other thread about this case?
Please I did not teach you any "nonsense " it's just the principles of jurisprudence, which the Tribunal Chairman has just upheld and adjourned the CCT sitting in other to await the judgment of the Appeal Court. Therefore I was very much correct afterall. I demand an apology from you.

PoliticsRe: Learn About Screening Ministers, According To The Nigeria Constitution by Rexology:
@OP why did you consciously omit the Section 147 (5)? perhaps it does not sooth you right? Unfortunately you can only omit it in citation, but you can't erase it from the constitution. For further reading, you may wish to visit section 66(1)(h).

Infact to be honest with you, if Amaechi is made a Minister at the end of all these dramas, it would raise some constitutional questions that must be tested in the Supreme court. The Senate is only trying to be careful in other not to go against the Constitution in respect to Anaechi's matter, hence the delay in his confirmation.
Politics and Politicians have rendered our Constitution ineffective.
