Today’s lesson is ‘Grow through God’s word’. We are made to understand that as a new born babe desires fresh milk from the mother likewise we children of God should desire milk of the word i.e. word of God for us to grow in all aspects as a complete human being that can perfectly walk with God. The word of God is living and provides all we need as Christians to grow mentally and spiritually. The word is also supportive to our physical development in terms of what we eat and drink so that we do not corrupt good manner in us. We should not just read the word we must apply the truth of the scripture for our spiritual growth, the Bible is the only book that establishes this truth without compromise.
We cannot grow in the word of God if we do not find time to meditate on it daily. We should place much importance to the word by devoting significant part of our time to it, it should be the time we are not much occupied with the other daily activities, and should be regarded as very important time to honour God by reading through His word, by extension we can say part of “10%” our time to honour and rejoice before God. The time to do this may vary among people according to how individual finds it convenient to do so: early in the morning, afternoon or before going to sleep.

The time devoted to reading through the word is worth it cos love of God towards us is revealed, protection from enemies and progress at the difficult time will surely come by placing our confidence in the truth of the word. Reading the word of God brings one closer to Him thereby making it so easy to receive revelations from Him. The word of God is spiritual nourishment we must long for to make us grow in Him, purify our lives and to stay in obedience to His command.

If we truly keep the word of God in our hearts and allow Holy Spirit to guide us our lives will be transformed completely and we shall be able to experience His salvation. How we receive the word of God to stay in our hearts is very important. Jesus illustrated different ways by which people receive word of God: People’s attitude to the word of God is likened to the seeds spread by a sower, some fell on the road side (trampled and nothing again about it); some fell upon a rock (grew for a while and then withered and died); some fell among the thorns, they were overgrown and choked by the thorns; some fell on good ground where they sprang up and yielded hundred folds.

Thank God after a lot of twisting and efforts to avoid the truth Ooman has been finally caught up in the midst of his pretence against knowing the Almighty God and acknowledging his work and presence. Now you have finally confessed existence of God and Satan. Kudos to disciples of Jesus here that made you to realise where you deliberately placed yourself. There is no gain from being the enemy of God. Now you have realised that you have two options to chose from when talking about life after death. Your choice of hell is worrisome to the heart that is so passionate for salvation of your soul. If you have been doing good you would have loved it to continue to eternity but your deeds are against the will of God so you are giving the devil an advantage to ride you and proceed in that manner until you are rendered useless. While you are still alive salvation of your life is so precious to God. Though you have ridiculed him he is still gracious and merciful to receive you back as a lost but found child. Pls free yourself from deception of devil, come to God the father.

As I said some weeks back that no matter how tight my schedule might be I would find time to attend a Sunday school class and learn the lesson of the week. Despite the tight schedule I found time to attend a Church outside my base and I gained this to share from the Sunday school lesson.

The topic is ‘Living Hope‘. This is basic hope of being a Christian and it is upon it that eternal life through Jesus is built. Christians living hope should be built on how to view challenges and what to expect from them. Challenges can come in various ways but we have to view them as test of faith especially when they question our standing for the will of God. These challenges can stand as persecution, difficulty against success, sickness and many others. It is known that when a Christian is not strong enough in faith and faced with some challenges he can easily loose hope. But what makes a Christian to master the troubles and build up a living hope is resolution to walk firmly with Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. He faced similar persecution and endured greater suffering than what we have passed through but he was at all times up for victory.

If it was possible for Jesus to overcome all persecution for good of prosecutors yet without rebuking them and pass through difficult situations, and still encouraging people to be heavenly minded we too can do likewise. Therefore it has been shown to us that all troubles will last for a moment and then eternal joy will be revealed. We should remember the roles of blood of Jesus that paid the price of our salvation and as such we should not allow anything to subdue our living hope or threaten our salvation. All troubles should be considered as a threat to salvation or test of faith and all we need is continuing with Christ and being filled with the hope that we will overcome at the end. A Christian passing through persecution is likened to gold that is being tested with fire to remove all impurities for its best to come out. This is how a child of God should view challenges, he must always look towards eternal gains that will eventually come.

Today‘s topic is ‘Being Children of God‘. We are children of God and any person can be a child of God through Jesus Christ the son of God. He is God‘s only beloved son sent to the world to reveal to the world what God looks like and stand for, and to make us know what He requires of man: which is to live righteously, love others and reference God in one‘s deeds. Living as a child of God means that one‘s life will at all times give glory to God. This can be achieved when a believer determines to live as Christ lived on earth: in total obedience to the will of God; living to be steadfast in faith, fulfilling self-controlled, righteous and godly living.

Further still it is a type of life that sets a believer free from sin - disobedience to God‘s law. A child of God must be growing spiritually and never give in to temptation. Also, a child of God must show sacrificial love to all, the kind of love showed by Jesus that he laid down his life for man. But in what way is this expected from a child of God? It is through personal and sincere sacrifice to help others - a child of God must not shut up his bowels of compassion, must not love in tongue and words but rather in deeds and truth.

If a child of God shows this kind of love definitely his deeds will not be wicked. A practical demonstration of this is shown in the way offerings of Abel and Cain were acceptable to God. Abel was noted as a righteous man from his deeds in the sight of God and his offerings were accepted whereas Cain was wicked and his offerings were not accepted. As Jesus revealed it to us what you offer to God will be a demonstration of how mindful you are to meet needs of others and how you really love them. There is danger in showing hatred. Jesus warns: Matthew 5:21-24: 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:

A child of God will feel a sense of belonging to God when he is qualified in all good manners, then his conscience will be clear and the heart will rest assure in God that his prayers shall be backed with authority and answered. Walking with God in all good manners gives us hope that we shall finally be like Him through His son that will deliver us unto Him. How will this be? This shall be possible through glorious transformation by the power of God.

@Joel. You are a Christian or what? I was so disturbed the way you are confused about the way of God. Remember from sermon of Jesus that when he preached to people in understandable words and they could not depict simple meaning he would explain it in parable to make the matter more than a childish thing. I would advise that you need to be more spiritual at times in understanding the way and work of God.

As regards Elijah what happened is not reincarnation but a soul that was returned back to earth yet in the flesh to fulfill what I described as God‘s ordained process to all men to return back to the dust where we were made from. John the Baptist declaration about Jesus referenced him as the Holy One he had known, meaning he was aware of previous experiences about Jesus while in heaven. Remember Jesus referred to him as the least in heaven, no mention of any disobedience or any other sin in him to have occupied this least position. But I get to know that He could not ride to heaven in the flesh or body sown in corruption. To obey the process of transformation of the corruptible to the incorruptible or the immortality, the flesh must certainly return back to the dust where it originally belongs. The principle of reincarnation makes one to believe that man can come back to earth several times after death: he can come back as a man, animal or plant. Let me ask this question, have you lived with a person that has been to earth several times before? If the answer is yes I thought millions of people borne by this process would voluntarily testify.

Similarity by the way dozens of innocent people were killed but difference in way and extent at which innocent people could derive comfort from providing cover for criminals. For all minds that get it wrongly in Christianity there is nothing reincarnation. Our belief and hope are demonstrated by what happened to Jesus. He died and resurrected the third day, then from 3rd to 40th day he was on earth, been to any place on earth he wanted to at any time, any moment, any second but at 40th day he was caught in heaven. What does this mean? Days 1-3 the body and the soul was underneath(a state of perfect rest), at the third day the soul was lifted up from the grave to move freely on earth with absolute freedom. For a soul to resurrect the body must first be destroyed as stated in the Bible human body shall return back to soil it belongs. In the case of Jesus the body was partly heavenly from his glorious birth even as announced by the angel. And the Bible had said about him in old testament that God will not allow His Holy one to suffer corruption, that why Jesus was transformed in both body and soul. As regards Elijah he was caught up with inglorious body to heaven that might be reason God would not allow him to jump the ordained process. Remember within that period of his trasition Jesus referred to him that the smallest in heaven was greater than him.

The world is full of erroneous doctrines to weaken faith so that a believer might fall to deception of the devil but in all a child of God needs strong determination and absolute self control to overcome if not the devil shall continue to gather multitude to his domain.

Today‘s message is ‘Living as Christ‘s disciple‘. All Christians are being called to be true disciples of Christ and make our lives promote His glorious course in action, thought and relationship with others. Living as a disciple prepares a believer to walk in obediece with God. The Lord calles us unto Him and makes us know clearly that He has not called us to seek Him in vain but rather to bless us through our obedience to His call. Our obedience to Him can only be proved by sound doctrines with which we train ourselves. Sound doctrines do not condone false claims, neither do they allow hypocrisy in believers‘ service to God.

In the Church believers are categorized into three:
1 Children: These are people that might have spent years (5, 10 or more ) worshipping in the church yet they are children in faith. Their sins are forgiven and they are saved by the precious blood of Christ but could not go beyond that.
2 Young men: These are zealous and steadfast in driving the vehicle of gospel. They are fully prepared to move and spread the message of grace and salvation.
3 Men: They are people that are well groomed in sound doctrine, and of experience. They are blessings to the position and office of young men in the church.

Believer‘s obedience to God is also shown in ways we relate with our brethren: we have been called to love others cos it is doing this that makes us children of light. The word of God makes us understand that believers that hate others are living in darkness. We should love others and walk in the light rather than choosing hatred and be in darkness.

It is further revealed that a disciple should not love the world. Anyone that loves the world and the things that are in the world can not have the love of father in him. What this means is giving one‘s live to worldliness: things that are not based on heavenly consciousness, but to satisfy weaknesses of the body which can never be met as long as man would not want to retain God in his knowledge. What can make a believer overcome this is his level of determination to serve God and his spiritual passions to retain full commitment to serving God. What makes a believer fimly stand to do this in the world that is polluted with all sorts of deception of the devil is self-control that is, believer‘s strong decision to say no to temptation and sin.

What can we do to overcome the evil of worldliness? Ensure that all you are blessed with are worthwhile in the sight of God: the source is from God and use it to worship and glorify Him rather than self. Also, do not see your talent and wealth as things to boast about, but to appreciate God and help others with it.

A true disciple of Christ must always abide in him. He must be continually receiving the annointing of the spirit that will help him know the truth so that he will not be influenced by false teachings within the custody of Antichrist and doctrinal errors they spread.

@ op, have you come across use of enzymes in fish production and if so what will you say about them? Reason for this is that these products are now being introduced and before I could make recommendations I want to be sure whether or not they are effective. You know to prove this there should a comprehensive findings as regards a common factor producing different or the same result under dictates of environments and farming practices. Or there should need to prove very well actions of these enzymes.
