RIP

You had fought a good fight, finished the course and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7)

Now eternal life is your reward. Your killers' portions on earth have turned to sorrow for life until they repent, confess their sin and turn to Christ

!. Why is it strange to you that your non-existent God lives in the sky when you actually believed Jesus ascended into heaven via the sky? LOL.

2. Christian artists usually express their faith belief in paintings and drawings. So why is that their depiction of your God always in the cloudy sky not relevant?

3. Your flimsy childish example of people looking up is disappointing. How old are you? 10? In fact, most people DON'T "look up to the sky when they are trying to remember something". If you have traveled out of Nigeria or read much, you would know that most people on earth don't do that. But most Christians look up during their religious rites.

Christians always pick and choose what they want to believe in the bible and ignore the rest. Bible was written for an illiterate middle eastern people with a completely different value system to ours two thousand years ago. Translated from Aramaic to Greek, then Greek to Latin, then Latin to English, who can rely on what anything means, especially taken so completely out of context as fundamentalists so often do?

Christians hardly make sense defending their flawed religion!

It's you that don't make sense with this post. You say Bible isn't for a person that is spiritual backward like you, who know nothing about God and faith.

The word of God is strong and far beyond reasoning of a person with warped understanding

Your problem is that you don't understand and don't want to understand Bible, thus choosing to disregard it.

Having faith in Bible God doesn't mean you can't find and express your usefulness in other areas - science, art and technology in as much your character and lifestyle are acceptable to God.

People believe in charms, but they don't believe in God...

what's the best definition for charms, physical or spiritual object, to scare or to cause havoc?

These questions follow belief of few people who don't believe in God or evil spirits

There is God, the creator. There are evil spirits who operate in the spiritual realm and have the power to torment and destroy destiny. But God has the super power to save, deliver and restore people.

very good of them for arresting and trying to bring criminals to justices even they are their kinsmen.

This kind of action is expected from all people and tribes anywhere in the country

Hausa/Fulani should also follow this good example by hunting down criminals, including religious fanatics, even if they are imams. Nigerians expect them to fish out and bring to justices those guys among them who after prayer in a mosque would mobilize to attack someone else or an institution for not believing or practicing what they believe and practice.

All Nigerians should be courageous enough to search and fish out criminals living among them.

Living and Dying for Christ
Good character, righteous living, the power of Holy Spirit and steadfast faith are required to hold onto Christ from the time of one's salvation to death. Acts 6:8 - Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. The followings are discussed: Empowered to Save; Falsely Accused, and First Christian Martyr.

Empowered to Serve: The Early Church was growing larger as new members were being added. It got to a time when spiritual leaders and facilities were no longer adequate to meet needs of the people. Seemly uneven distribution of aid resulted in complaints by the Grecian believers against Hebrew believers (Acts 6:1-7). The apostles offered sensible solution to the controversy by asking the followers to appoint men of impeccable character that would oversee and make provision for physical and spiritual needs. The seven men chosen were prayed for and assigned leadership roles. The roles of deacons in churches today should be same as the chosen leaders of the early Church. Deacons are expected to be spirit-filled believers, support pastors and use their God-given talent to advance the cause of gospel.

The work of the first deacons didn't end in meeting physical needs, the men were effective in other areas of the ministry. Stephen was dignified by great wonders and miracles done through him (Acts 6:8 ). He was full of faith and enabled by the power of Holy Spirit to boldly proclaim gospel and perform miracles. God is willing and will release His Spirit for believers to minister and confirm his word with miracles (Mark 16:17-20).

Falsely Accused: Stephen's ministry was challenged in the synagogue as he was presenting Jesus and giving the accounts of persecution of the Old testament prophets. Some Jewish people felt guilty of his presentation that they wanted him dead (Acts 6:9-10). They alleged that Stephen contravened the law of Moses, said Jesus would change the custom and therefore should be put to death (Acts 6:11-15; Leviticus 24:16). Stephen was unruffled by the Council's decision over the false charge against him. There was peace within him as his face appeared as the face of an angel. God will uphold those who rely on Him in the times of trouble (Luke 12:11-12; 1 Peter 2:20-23; Mathew 5:10-11).

First Christian Martyr: Stephen presented a defence which gave the account of Israel's attitude towards the prophets, including the ones that foretold the coming of the Messiah (Acts 7:51-54). They were so troubled by Stephen's word and ground their teeth in rage. Stephen made it known that the people were not better than heathen gentiles for rejecting the prophets and Jesus as the Messiah. Stephen testified to presence of Christ and the glory of God as he was being dragged out to be killed (Acts 7:55-60). He asked Jesus to receive his spirit and that Lord should forgive his murderers. It was recorded that Saul who was later converted and named Paul was part of the Council that approved Stephen's execution.

Ayatullah:

Was Jesus Christ a terrorist when he single handedly fought like Jackie Chan to disperse those 'ibo guys' Jews Traders trading in the Temple (Mathew 21:12) many years back in Jerusalem? Definitely not. He was not a terrorist, he was only interested in guarding jealously the Almighty God's house of worship, just as we Muslims love to do.

When Jesus Christ in Luke 22:35-38 asked his disciples to procure swords was he a terrorist? Definitely not, infact the disciples surprised Jesus by telling him they already have two swords!

You can therefore see that we Muslims like Jesus are Brave People. We are no cowards. We are serious with God worship. God worship is serious business, it's not about making loud noise and beating drums and dancing.

Yeah God's worship is a serious business, but most worships are filthy rags, unacceptable to God, and Almighty God will never honor mouths and knees of people who are just religious.

Bible is complete in a matter of faith and faithful service of God. People like you must repent and turn to God with new hearts.

Good question. The truth of the matter is that some muslims are dishonest, liars, cheats, corrupt, mischievous etc. And most even lack basic knowledge of Islam or do not adhere strictly to the teachings of Islam.
These are the black sheeps, every community has one.

Becos Almighty Allah does not punish those who lie, claimed false teachings, or those who sinned against Him immediately, some take Him for granted, but they forgot that there is a day coming when He will ask us to account for all our deeds, and that is the day of Judgement. Such atrocities can never be from Allah.

Allah says '' Who doth more wrong than He who forge a lie against Allah, ......'' Qur'an 10:17.

My plea is that when u see such atrocities or claims in the name of Allah, verify/analyse from the authentics sources; which are the Holy Qur'an and the Sahih Ahadith whether it is truely from Allah or not.

False claims in the name of Allah are notin.

Allah never commands unholy acts.

Allah nevers commands an ungodly act.

Allah never commands an inhumane act.

Allah never commands shameful deeds.

Allah is never unjust to his creations.

May God bless you with this. Northern Muslims needs all these you summed up to live as good and normal people among all even if provocations seem to dampen their thought and challenge their sense of reasoning.

How I wish Saudi Authority would work on this and pass it across the world.

Our world should be live and let others live!

THE TRUTH is that 'Thisday' Newspaper did a one sided story lacking investigative journalism.

Another TRUTH is that the Catholic Church is not new in the area so also is the Mosque Ground where the alleged attackers came from.

Another TRUTH is that the Catholic Church should have known that Friday is a serious Prayer Day for the Muslims who pray in peace in their thousands led solemnly by one Imam and need no disturbance.

Another TRUTH is that the Muslims despite praying in their thousands outside does not generate any disturbing noise.

Another TRUTH is that Christians so much love the microphone and loudspeakers that they make so much noise even when they are gathered in very few number.

The final TRUTH is that the Christians must have made a disturbing, loudspeakers assisted noise full of heresies while the Muslims were praying which must have led to the Catholic Church being raided by the Brave Muslims.

(I expect a ban for saying the truth)

the more you defend the inherent evil the greater will be your sorrow until you repent and do God's will!

But the people of the religion. The religion is not in question. It's the people. Understand my argument please

Pls that's lie as usual. Any Christian killing and destroying property of members of other faith based on religion? Pls cite the examples CAN will lead the security to wipe them out immediately

We should all be out to employ all means to state and stand against violence embedded in any religion.

This is internet age, there must not be hidden place to cover evil any long. We all deserve to live in peace and freedom!

Islam should also pass the test of peace as obtained in other religions

It's so heartbreaking to see this news. But not withstanding you don't have the go ahead to insult any religion. Those youths who are destroying churches. It's not the religion choice. It's their choice. Don't judge people by their religion. Judge them by their behavior. Have not seen it in the Qur'an where it's been said that muslims should vandalize non muslim property. The way we understand holybook differs. Am a Muslim. And i being a 100% recognize anobi isa (Jesus Christ in my life). In short words please don't let us abuse any religion due to what is happening. All religions are religion of peace. It depends on how we view it. May God be with us and keep teaching us what to. Regardless my religion. I love every one. I will rather abuse your personality than abuse your religion

Muslims must address the serious problem about Islam. Other religions are peaceful and more tolerant of others but this religion.

It is not a matter of recognizing Jesus or Mohammad. The problem is what the faith is all about. You keep denying them yet they believe they are doing what their Allah approves. This is a serious problem and global threat to peace

All these evils even after 30 days of fasting and prayer! Something must be wrong with this people as they are always looking for trouble and causing violence everywhere

their violence and destruction indicate serious curse in their lives from which they need deliverance. Almighty God who will then remain to deliver them as they are attacking and killing your prophets?

I keep wondering every day why I share the same country with murderous jihadists.

These people rise up and slaughter Christians at the slightest provocation and for the silliest reasons ever.

Someone did a cartoon about their prophet in faraway Denmark, in Europe, then the northerners rose up and began to kill Christians and loot/destroy their properties in the north.

These people rise up and slaughter Christian youth corps members just because their jihadist lord sai baba binhari lost an election.

In 1991, they killed so many Christians in Kano just because the Christian evangelist Reinhard Bonke was scheduled to preach there!

These people keep having children that they have no plans for. You see one man with four wives and twenty children, ask him how he plans to cater for them he tells you 'Allah that gives.' embarassed

These children end up roaming about the streets with plates and are classified as almajiris. It is this vast army of almajiris that make a ready pool of bodies available for boko haram and other terror groups to make use of in terrorising Christians.

These are the same set of 'yandaba' that lay about taking 'mai shai' under trees and waiting for the slightest reason to start a religious riot in the north so that they can go about killing Christians, stealing/destroying their properties and raping women during riots. embarassed embarassed

Southerners are just sooo different from northerners(Far north).

If the killing is motivated by the religion of the assailants. The problem must be with the message and the messenger they are following

Welcome to the true religion sis.

May Jehovah help u to make the necessary adjustments in your life.

But man shouldn't live for religion rather God. And Church people find themselves they must love, fear and serve God with their whole hearts. Another thing is commitment to reading, knowing and understanding the word of God, living purpose life and doing what pleases God.

Religion can only be true if doctrine and teachings are sound, which I know Jehovah witness is trying to some extent.

Christians are people sharing attributes and witnessing for Christ, which I think Jehovah witness is identified with.
