changes of leadership often comes with grudges in all spheres of life but as far as this concerned in CAN the issues will be tactically and diligently resolved and the head that has won the crown will play crucial role in building upon Christ - the solid foundation of faith in God and the rock of salvation. Pastor Ayokunle - Congrats! |
ebosie11:Hoping to see fueless vehicles replacing the current ones. Our society must have been free of pollution being caused by fuel combustion |

mindful01:kerosene is no longer cooking fuel for the masses focus should be on the green fuel that can replace the product. FG seems to be incapable in tacking some issues again. The more we hope the less we are getting in the recent times. |

MadCow1:which hasn't go round, but it would be funny to see school feeding program go round... I pray N50 worth food won't be served at N500! |
but teachers in some states are on strike and many schools are in bad shape school feeding this time around can be described as a misplaced priority. |
udatso:our leaders political and spiritual should stop acting as the agents of destabilization and their followers should get sense and stop being foolish followers. Christians are not against Islamic uniform or identity if done in the right manner. Have you seen Christians reacting against Islamic heritage in muslin schools? But why should they transgress and break up Christian heritage in Christian schools? It is not good to look for trouble and cause chaos. Religion or no religion - I am surprised to read that Islamic groups are seriously pursuing Arab Interest. How can some Muslims be saying they must pull down western influence and replace it with that of Arabs, even if it must be achieved by inflicting pains and sorrow. And many will say the terrorists have no sympathizers. Note this - Religion doesn't make ppl holy and acceptable to God, it gives info about God and how to relate with him without hurting anyone. |
SIRRDIQ:Christians here are not relaxed as you might have thought in the fight against the gate of hell trying to open wide as a result of manipulations by the devil using its agents in various ways. I think the most difficult battle is the battle against Satan. He manipulates and uses all tricks. People are praying, though they need to do more and moving to God in holiness and righteousness for timely answers to prayers. May be you don't know Psalm 68:1; 2 Chronicle 20:15 are already working in the spiritual warfare |
agents of destabilization are now everywhere - both in low and high places, from troublesome individuals to those in the position of authority. So the whole governor is at the fore front of bad changes. People have lived for years and students have coexisted at various school without this kind of disaffection. That shows that the devil can use anyone to carry out his plan... but the head on which coconut is broken may not live to feel the taste. |
Goke7:many youths like you have problem! |
HassanTewogbade:see your life ... having no value because you could mess up your kinsmen and later become a cheap prey. Are the people not reasonable in what they said? They are the same people who raised the alarm when their fellow Muslim brothers were being killed in the north for doing their businesses! You need to get sense |
jahsharon:Shooting them? Nawao! And the unjust people like you are very happy with the ongoing injustice in the campaign against corruption. The system is fast deteriorating to witchhunting from the credible fight against corruption. Read what the people wrote before replying them. |
Maybe the country will locate its bearing and get the direction by the time all people stand for their rights. These people can't be totally right or wrong for their action. They may be concerned about injustices from some quarters which really persist. |
tunaguy:That is a big scam from GLO. Why are they giving figure without value? They are fraudsters. |
@ op can't get what you are trying to explain |
the struggle for who wins between Bello and Faleke Everyone knows Faleke has technically won the election before it was fantastically won by Bello later. Same election simultaneously won by two candidates. While it was sure that one has won, the other was technically imposed and aided to win the election fantastically If justice is done we all know who won. Over to super judges at the supreme court. Let's see how their judgment will go. |
ItsMeAboki:I think you need help to know and understand Bible. Those telling you that Biblical messages and principle promote violence and difficult to follow are just misleading you. God started his plan for redemption and salvation with the old testament and fulfilled it with the new testament. We study and follow the two to understand God and know his for giving us life. It's only in Bible you can find peace that lasts to eternity. pls get the Bible messages and messengers clearer before you jump the fence, trying to escape from the truth |
Horus:But only the Bible stands the test of all times. It makes it clear that the choice is yours to serve God or not, you are not compelled to believe in God, you are just informed that he exists and requires of you to fear and serve him, love others as you love yourself, and one day you will stand before him to give account of how you spend your life. Receive Christ's invitation today - Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. |
Samuel, Example of Integrity Christians are to lead lives of integrity in spite of the moral decadence in the society and corruption in high places. 1 Samuel 12:23: Moreover as for me (Samuel), God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the and right way . The followings are discussed: Samuel's Testimony of Integrity; Samuel Calls Israel to faithfulness, and God's Faithfulness affirmed. Samuel declared boldly to the people of Israel that he had lived a life integrity since he became the spiritual and national leader. He was devoted to the work of God and committed in service to the land. He treated people fairly and lived above reproach (1 Samuel 12:1-5). Believers must learn from Samuel's testimony of integrity to stay upright and keep faith through difficult circumstances. Christians are expected to guard against whatever can damage their witness for Christ. Samuel Called Israel to Faithfulness: Samuel reminded the people of God's faithfulness throughout their history. God saved them from slavery, gave them victory over enemies and settled them as a nation even though, they were not faithful. In spite of their rebellious acts God delivered them repeatedly from the enemies. They ignored Samuel's warning and often lost their trust in God but God remained faithful to them. God overlooked their rebellious demand and gave them Saul as the king in recognition of His ultimate authority. Great importance is attached to leadership position and those in the position of authority must recognise God-given authority and know that they will answer to God (1Samuel 12:6-13). Samuel cautioned the people about rebellious acts and told them curses of disobedience and blessings that would follow obedience to God ( 1 Samuel 12:14-15). God's Faithfulness Affirmed: Samuel's prayer for the people and the land of Israel was answered by great display of the power of God. The people were gripped with fear and their eyes were opened to their sinful rebellion (1 Samuel 12:16-19). Samuel asked them to stop pursuing worldly things that led to idolatry and turn to turn to God and serve Him with all their heart. God would still forgive and show love to the people despite their shortcomings (12: 20-25) . He had chosen the people and established them as a nation through which His plan would be made known to all people. Samuel revealed that failure in discharge of leadership responsibility is an act of sinfulness. He said he would sin against God if he ceased to pray for the people. He dedicated his time to meeting needs of the people and building a nation that God would keep and bless. God will bless those who are committed in a relationship with Him. Lesson text: 1 Samuel 12:1-25). |
Cultivate Right Attitude Right attitude and faith in God help Christians treat others fairly and live to honour God. James 5:8. Be ye also patient; stablish your your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. The followings are discussed: Pursue Justice; Be patient in Suffering, and Depend on God. Pursue Justice: Some people have wrong attitudes toward wealth that instead of trusting God and appreciating Him for their possession they boast about their wealth and use their status to exploit others (James 5:1-3). God detests this kind of behaviour and will judge those who are guilty of it. It is very wrong to hoard wealth at the expense of the poor and needy. Riches will either corrupt or come to an end one day, but riches that are rooted in God's glory will last to eternity. James says it is bad to deny a worker full reward of his labour. Employees are to be treated fairly and should not be robbed of fair wages by the employers (James 5: 4-6; Malachi 3:6). Employers must not seek satisfaction that will make their employees struggle in poverty. It is a pity that majority of the wealthy people desire and consume what they don't need while the poor suffer in need. God's judgement is upon this kind of attitude. God expects those diligently serving Him to be generous especially toward the poor. Christians can show love and extend generosity to others through compassionate ministry which aim is to gather funds and aids and distribute them to the needy. Those who invest their resources to benefit others are blessed; they will receive what seems to have been lost in many folds (Proverbs 11:24). We are to cultivate Christ-like attitude and avoid taking advantage of the poor. Be Patient in Suffering: James encourages believers to be patient in anticipation of Christ's return. Hope of Christ's return should motivate Christians to be patient and endure in the face of struggles, knowing that his return is imminent (James 5:10-12). Christ may tarry he will surely return. Believers are to look up to Jesus, keep eyes on eternity and do away with attitudes that can bring destruction. Those who are pursuing the world will make life difficult for the persons who faithfully follow God, and may frustrate them to the extent of denying faith and rejecting God. Job experienced similar problem but he didn't renounce his faith in God. He patiently endured difficulty and would respond with the word of hope and assurance that God would restore him. In the end God rewarded Job for his faithfulness (James 5:10-12). Job experience reminds us that lasting joy and happiness are not laid in temporal things. God will see us through disappointments of life if our perseverance and patience are rooted in the right attitude of trust and faith in Him. Depend on God: One of the requirements to depend on God and expect spiritual victory from life challenges is prayer. Christians are not encouraged to face challenges alone. We need the support of members who can help us grow in faith and receive strength through the power of Holy Spirit ( James 5:13-16). Christians must say prayer of faith and believe that their requests will be granted when they depend upon God and seek His will (James 5:17-20). Elijah offered the prayer of faith which made it impossible for rain to fall in Israel for 3 years and 6 months. He demonstrated that God would answer prayer of the faithful to bring Glory and honour two His name. God also granted his prayer when he prayed for the rain. God honours genuine faith and will give grace to those walking with Him and relating with others with the right attitude. Lesson text: James 5:1-20 |
Wondering why some extremists are presenting their religion as an institution for breeding and spreading violence. God is peaceful and merciful and wants those who can faithfully serve him by keeping his commands, loving him wholeheartedly and others as they love themselves. Those who are attacking and killing others on a matter of faith should have attacked and used the weapons against themselves, getting rid of themselves so that God can choose his own people from the remaining ones. Some Muslims in Kano vowed to kill anybody for insulting Muhammed! Not even God! This is serious. Is Mohammed synomous with terror and death? Can't just understand why some ppl are religiously intoxicated and morally deficient. May Almighty God reveal himself to them and help them to know the right way to serve him These ppl should understand that we are in internet age where evils and those who are guilty of evils can be easily exposed. The more they do evil the greater their sorrow. |
politicizing fasting is very wrong. Why are some ppl doing like this, forgetting that God is spirit and not politician who you can hail to drop something. You worship in truth and righteousness to receive from him. |

Adminisher:must you express your thought with insults? Pls grow up and learn to morally express yourself. Can't you logically argue against or in favour of a discussion made public? You didn't contribute anything that makes sense! Is it free meal which is once daily that will keep herdsmen, cultists and militants in school and build a new man in them? |
