There is "eternal' difference between the saving Grace of God and evidences of what God or the devil has given humans the grace to achieve.

I find it so difficult to understand why people who don't believe God exist often find it so difficult to prove that evil spirits and power don't exist.

Thanks, I would certainly

It looks like your post is misleading or you have not concluded your testimony. One would discover there is contradiction between the topic and the content. Anyway if your testimony is rooted in knowing and coming back to Christ and the easiest faith in God he has brought but which many find to follow, then Congrats.

Religion can be intoxicating and confuse minds to have misconception about God. For this reason you will see some fighting and killing others in the name of God. The fool can even conclude in his heart that there is no God.

But Christ has given the world true faith, opens eyes to understand that God is Spirit and genuine worship of Him is spiritual and that people can only relate with him with the right attitude.

Perceived appearance of Christ draws crowd to Makurdi church

Aug 9 2016 5:00AM

A crowd of spectators yesterday besieged the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Nenger in Makurdi over claims that Jesus Christ appeared on the crucifix (cross) hung at the church altar.

Our correspondent who visited the parish located behind Government Model College by Zone 4 Police headquarters in the High Level area of Makurdi, observed an unusual illumination around the crucifix as worshippers surrounded the altar prayed for the mercies of God upon His creation.

It was said that ‘the sudden apparition of Christ accompanied by a mild wind’ was first witnessed by a group of parishioners at 3pm on Sunday during their normal divine mercy prayers, consequent upon which the group intensified their prayers until it became glaring that something very unusual was happening in their parish just as other worshippers were alerted to the scene such that throughout the night, people kept vigil.

While the news spread around the state yesterday, people continued to troop in and out of the premises to see things for themselves, and the commercial motorcyclists made brisk businesses transporting passengers.

A spectator, Sev John, a non-Catholic who attends NKST church, said he heard about the development and decided to find out for himself. “I heard that Jesus appeared here and that one woman was the first to see him, so I came to find out the truth. I have seen the picture myself, it is true. I saw the head but wouldn’t know if it is Jesus. I believe that Jesus is coming soon,” John said.

Another respondent, Simon Terver, simply added, “I heard that Jesus appeared, so I came here. I saw something around his image.”
But the parish priest and those present at the time of the unusual development have declined comment on grounds that they were not worthy to speak to any journalist about spiritual matters.
Contacted, the Communications Director of the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi, Reverend Father Moses Iorapu, said that the Catholic Church does not jump into conclusion of unusual happenings until it confirmed them.

“What we have here is some unusual illumination of Christ around the crucifix. It happened when the people were praying. The Church takes time to confirm such phenomenon,” Iorapu said.

Jesus as we all know saves lives and the people whose lives he has touched and changed will never remain the same again. One love in Christ ... Abundance of life, peace of mind and inner joy and happiness.

God bless me God bless Lagos for her superb economic policy. Bear it in mind that what SW needs mostly to be successful in Agriculture is irrigation, processing, storage, packaging and total clamp down on free range animal husbandry esp herdsmen invasion and destruction of farms. Cattle business in the zone should be exclusively intensive or semi intensive. Allowing cattle to roam about and cause damages should be stopped once.

If the land of SW is well managed for farming the zone can feed the whole country and send food stuffs abroad

THERE'S NOTHING BASELESS ABOUT ATHEISM, MY FRIEND. THERES NO SUCH THING LIKE "THRIVE", ATHEIST ARE THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD AND HIS BIBLE, OR AT LEAST THEY'RE THE ONES WHO ARE NOT SCARED TO DOUBT THE DOCTRINES OF RELIGION.

AND THERE'S NOTHING LIKE NL ATHEIST, THEY'RE JUST ATHEISTS. THEY'RE NOT DIFFERENT FROM THE ATHEISTS IN LAGOS, OHIO, PARIS, ON FACEBOOK OR MYSPACE... SO DON'T MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THIS FORUM IS EVIL ESPECIALLY BECAUSE SEUN IS ALSO AN ATHEIST.

DON'T EXPECT US ALL TO BELIEVE IN GOD BECAUSE YOU DO.
DON'T EXPECT EVERYONE TO BE SCARED OF HELL OR LIVE IN FEAR OF BIBLICAL BEINGS THAT WENT EXTINCT AFTER THE BIBLE DAYS.
YOUR GODS CAN FIGHT THEIR BATTLES I GUESS, WHY DO YOU BELIEVERS RAIN EMPTY THREATS EVERY TIME?

As a Christian I will just let you understand that God has given humans the grace of choice. The choice is yours to believe or disbelieve in existence of God. People like you will never know God or the supernatural exist because you neither seek nor understand his path or feel his presence. Believing in God is quite beyond human reasons and mental capability because it is spiritual.

You all must know you are wrong for denying existence of God and spiritual realm.

The Church Prevails
The Church has continued to grow and the word of God is increasingly spreading in spite of the war the devil is wagging against the gospel. Acts 12:24 - The word of God grew and multiplied . The followings are discussed. Delivered by Unified Prayer; Surprised by Answered Prayer, and Arrogance Judged; the Church Expands.

Delivered by Unified Prayer: Matters that require divine intervention should be taken to God with a strong belief that He will solve the problems. Acts 12 narrated what Peter passed through in the prison and how God delivered him. Herod Agrippa sent him to the prison with the intention of killing him in the public to please the Jew religious leaders and their followers as he did to James, the brother of John (Acts 12:1-4). He was so determined in getting rid of Peter that he assigned 16 soldiers to watch over him; four soldiers were to guard him on six-hour shifts.

The members of Jerusalem Church didn't allow the killing of James to stop them from praying earnestly for the freedom of Peter even though it was glaring that the king was determined to kill him. With resilient faith they so much believed in the saving power of God. They had prayed for days but the prayer was answered the night before Herod wanted him executed (Acts 12:5-12). God sent an angel who took Peter out of the prison and made the soldiers unaware of what was happening. Peter thought he was dreaming until the angel led him to the street of Jerusalem and left him to go alone. God is still at work and will answer earnest prayer of the righteous. Christians today must follow the example of the early Christians to keep on trusting God and believe He will answer prayer.

Surprised by Answered Prayer: The believers were so surprised by the way God answered their prayer. Rhoda recognized Peter's voice and was so excited that she went to tell others about his arrival. While others doubted and couldn't believe her faith did not waver (Acts 12:13-15). They said Rhoda must have seen Peter's angel, thinking he had been killed. This kind of belief was according to tradition; it wasn't established in the Bible. God used Peter's miraculous release to strengthen the early Christians who had grappled with life-threatened challenges from enemies of the gospel. Whatever the challenges Christians are to depend fully on God. He is able to deal with the evil and see us through difficult circumstances.

The Christians testified to God's faithfulness for answering their prayer when they saw Peter waiting at the door. They were full of joy and celebration for answered prayer. Peter didn't see his release as a miracle that should be taken for granted. He was cautious of his stay in the house of the believers and movement through the city of Jerusalem so that he would not be easily pursued and arrested again by the enemies (Acts 12:16-18). Christians must not abuse God's saving grace as they walk through dangers and remain persistent in sharing faith with others.

Arrogance Judged; the Church Expands: God has several ways of dealing with people and getting rid of enemies of His people. Saul was a persecutor of the people of God before Christ met, saved and used him for God's work. The King gave the order for execution of soldiers who guarded Peter but were not aware of his release (Acts 12:19-23). While settling a political dispute Herod couldn't caution the people who were hailing and praising him as a god until an angel of God struck him down. It was recorded that maggots were coming out his body before he died of severe pains. It is sinful for anyone to claim God's authority. God is sovereign and will judge any person claiming His glory.

God empowered the early Church and blessed early Christians for their unwavering faith despite various attacks. Christ had stated that he would build his Church and the gate of hell will never prevail against it. Enemies of the gospel might be trying all they could to stop the Church and greatly increased their evils close to Christ's return but they would not succeed. All that is expected of the Church is to be alive in Christ and active in spreading gospel to save lives. The Church will continue to prevail as we spread the gospel. Lesson text: Acts 12:1-24.

is it when everything has collapsed the Buhari's Change will begin to manifest?

Nigerians are not finding it easy again... All we have being seeing is daily news with daily hardship.

e go better e go better rice is getting to N20000. Haba! This change is not offering good thing and hopes are being dashed.

Before the present predicament, the complaint was it was Jonathan that caused this and that followed by delay in the passage and signing of the budget. Since the government has crossed those borders what could have caused the complaint again? Is it lack of focus or incompetence?

Living is fast becoming to expensive and very difficult in Nigeria. May God help us.

what is happening and which you don't understand is seasonality of farm produce. We are in the season of plenty which can also result in glut if supply is far greater than demand.

What has government done? Has government planted tomatoes, given or subsidized farm inputs this year? Pls get some things right before you started praising politicians for what they haven't delivered.

The society will experience a speedy transformation when all people see themselves as their brothers keepers praying for success of individuals and peace to reign everywhere.

Jealousy, hatred and acts of violence can't take a nation to better place.

Though some are saying such visit is suspicious, Christians shouldn't disregard the command to love and save souls. In all dealings with friends and perceived enemies Christians must heed Christ's warning to watch and pray knowing they are living with good and wicked people.

Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
