Yes, they have good plans and we can see that in the state they are controlling right now.

The pull out of the CONFAB because it`s waste of money and time. We`ve had some in the past with them not seeing the light of the day at the end.

There was no sincerity behind this as well. Otherwise, what was the reason for raising another presidential conmittee to study the report and recommend the implementations of the report since July 2014? Why didn`t he pass the report directly to the National Assembly to do that if he meant well for the report?

He`s now using that to campaign for votes in the South West. Why is he not using that to campaign for votes in other region? Or is it that it is only South West that is going to benefit from the Report?

Afenifere are only fighting for their pockets not for Yoruba race.
Asking question as if you don't know interests of people are divided and presently the houses are mostly concerned about securing posts or making efforts to be relevant. If the report was thrown away, the struggle for better future will continue for years.

Read what Barr. Femi Falana (SAN) who attended the same CONFAB with them said about the CONFAB report they are hinging their support for GEJ on.

www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/02/27/supporters-of-jonathan-in-south-west-self-serving-femi-falana/

They are only after their pockets. How can Omisore of all people be my leader. Bola Ige was a member of this Afenifere before he was killed. To even think that the same Omisore assaulted Bola Ige before he was kilked shows that `Chickens are already eating the intestine of one another.`
You just expressed conflicts of interest and the needs to make a choice among all odds. Apc or Pdp, all the leaders are found wanting one way or the other. No one of them has a clean record, but we must just conclude and make a choice. For every choice made there must be reason.

We don't need national conference before a dedicated government can perform. What we need is security, uninterrupted power supply, employment opportunity etc.
So you can believe constitution is of no need for a government to perform. If that is possible you can be making sense. NATIONAL CONFERENCE WAS CONVENED TO CHECK THE IMBALANCE, INJUSTICE AND OTHER BAD COMPONENTS WITHIN THE EXISTING SYSTEM.

Hun, the true and only Yoruba Leader who was at the conference and didn't collect any allowances or provisions is Pastor Tunde Bakare. He was there to represent our interest not to sell us out. That is one of the qualities of a real leader.
So ttheir reports and recommendations are not important?

Haba! These people can't claim to speak for the Yorubas, the most sophisticated tribe in Nigeria! Even a blind man can see that participants at the meeting were PDP, either by name or association. I don't respect them at all as they are part of the problems facing Nigeria! Olu Falae for instance, served and defended Babangida's regime that initiated the decimation of Nigerian values and orientation and elevated corruption to state policy!
If I may ask you, do you think apc has good plan for this country when the party asked all it's members to pull out of the national conference which members were drawn from all parties, numerous groups and associations deeply concerned about the way forward?
Politics › Re: We Won’t Forgive Buhari – Some South West Leaders Endorse Jonathan by Rexyl(m): 7:03pm On Feb 27, 2015
THE FIRST AND FORMOST THING TO BE DONE IS IMPLEMENTATION OF VITAL ASPECTS OF THE REPORT OF NATIONAL CONFERENCE. The votes should be given to the contestant that will do it. That's the real and expected change people should consider. Not by shouting and securing cheap support which may not do the country any good.

Both parties have their strengths and weaknesses. Both Gej and Gmb may end up being the same thing.

Some voters are for Jonathan
Some are for Buhari
Many have no interest in both

To me if implementation of report of the national conference is the way forward for Nigerians. I would go that ... the MAN who will ensure its sincere implementation is the choice.

Politics › Re: Egypt Calls For A Nigeria-Egypt Led Force Against ISIS In Libya by Rexyl(m): 7:51pm On Feb 24, 2015
shiningshina:
The only real presence ISIS has, is in Syria and, to some extent, Iraq. Their leadership, their best fighters, their heavy weapons, their rockets, their prisons, their oil fields, etc are all primarily in Syria. The so-called "ISIS" in Libya is only a brutal Salafi terror militia that pledged allegiance to al-Baghdadi, the "caliph" of ISIS. For ISIS to get to Nigeria, they need a local terrorist militia pledging allegiance to al-Baghdadi. Other than that, there is no way ISIS can get to Nigeria (although there certainly are plenty of ISIS sympathisers in Nigeria, especially among the Salafis). If President Jonathan manages to destroy Boko Haram (and I sincerely pray he does), then he would permanently close Nigeria's borders to al-Baghdadi.

ISIS are Salafis (and more than 95% of all Muslim terrorists are Salafis). Boko Haram too are Salafis. Meanwhile, Boko Haram is the only "credible" Salafi terror franchise in Nigeria. Therefore, if anyone were to pledge allegiance to ISIS, it would be Boko Haram only. So, to defeat ISIS, the government only needs to destroy Boko Haram and to wage a heavy propaganda war against its growing intolerant, bloody ideology within the territories of our dear Nigeria.
so the terrorists have destroyed the landmark of early Church in Syria! And not satisfied they want to destroy all nations?

The real government in Libya is currently on exile , so I don't know how the Libyans are encircling Sirte.
Infact most of Libya including the capital s under Islamist's control.
It seems those terrorists are planning to destroy all nations, starting from somewhere. They thought Nigeria could be annexed to their terrorist States just like that. Thank God we are too complex than people they can manoeuvre to fall for their evil plan. But it is a pity that they successfully secured partners among Northerners.

GEJ HAD TO WAIT TILL ELECTIONS TO ORDER FULL SCALE WAR AGAINST BOKO HARAM ( though not good enough, it is better done late than never... Saboteurs all over the place and disagreement on whether to engage them with full military force or not) WHILE THOUSANDS OF NIGERIANS LOST THEIR LIVES DAILY. THIS IS POLITICALLY CALCULATED TO WIN HIM SENTIMENTAL VOTES AGAINST THE OPPOSITION BUT SO FAR ONLY THE IGBOS AND SOUTH SOUTH and the rest ARE DECIEVED BY THIS CHEAP BLACK MAIL. Gej & Gmb KNOWS BOKO MORE THAN WE THINK AND HIS INVOLVEMENTS WILL SOON BE EXPOSED WHEN Jonathan or Buhari IS SWORN IN ON MAY 29.

HE AND HIS COHORTS SHALL END UP IN JAIL FOR FAILING TO TAME THIS MONSTER ALL IN THE NAME OF POLITICS.

GEJ OR GMB, NIGERIANS NEED A LEADER THAT WOULD NOT BE KIND TO TERRORISTS NOR ALLOW TERRORISM TO SURFACE IN THE COUNTRY

See boko haram, see dangerous ammunition they have been using to destroy Nigeria gradually. They really intented to take over the government and institute their system of terror similar to what ISIS is doing in Syria, Libya and other States they have defeated.

THESE BOKO GUYS AND THE REST OF THEM WILL SOON BE HISTORY IN NIGERIA. KI BABA GOD FUN WA SE. AMIN.

The world must unite to disband Islamist insurgency which has become serous threat to global peace, political and economic stability. All of us can now see the gravity of Mahuma Ghadafi's message to Nigeria before his demise. By God's grace Nigeria is defeating and will finally defeat and destroy boko haram which is an extension of ISIS jihadists in Nigeria.

Your problem is lack of understanding and exposure. Nigerians should be ashamed of her military and SSS, all the pictures so far showed that these guys are operating on a clear plain vast land carved out of Nigeria, unlike Osama linked terrains you are wrongly comparing with Nigeria situation. Afghanistan is a different world on earth.
We are getting results now because fearless Chad, Niger, Cameroon etc are actively involved in the operation Not because Nigeria is singularly running down the insurgents,Nigeria would have loved to do that, but they lack the capacity, intelligence and CIC
The recent success might have been possible because nobody will like to be associated with those devils again, unlike previously when some notable northern leaders openly and secretly gave boko haram thin and thick protection. Some of them wanted amnesty for the wicked and faceless groups, some lamented over FG resolve to march them strength for strength and force for for force for their timely removal from our midst before they could grow wings and become very difficult to control.

All we want is a country we will live in peace, not in pieces useless boko guys, their hosts and sponsors have turn the country to. Kudos to military, kudos to President Jonathan, because when those we could have trusted became traitors, and tried all means to make things fall apart, he still managed to pursue peace for Nigerians among all odds.

The North should pls follow all means to get rid of fundamentalists in their lands. They should neither make friend with them nor host them. Those beasts must return to where they came from. They must not give them support again to make armies among peace loving people of NIGERIA.

Bros, Soun gave Goodluck a calabash, go check the meaning of that. That crowd does not look like one for a president's visit. I hope he will be satisfied on his acceptability and be ready to have the elections at the due date.
You think ppl are in 19th century when opening of calabash had much relevance? People esp of Ogbomoso are politically independent and can't be influenced by the Obas unlike what is obtainable in some towns. People's support for any candidate over there is based on issues and achievements, even if the king present his own child the results may not work to his favour. Jonathan could have been more relevant to people, not the Obas, supposing he completed Ogbomoso-Oyo road, and sited one of those 12 Universities in Ogbomoso, and also one of the manufacturing industries. Ogbomoso people are not after what they will collect from any politicians for selfish interests, but what generations will reference and benefit from.

Stop deluding yourself. Most people in the south west do not care a hoot for the so called national conference. It is not an issue in this election and will be thrown out by the national assembly.

As for how the south west will vote in this election, clearly the word on the street supports a buhari victory,. My observation is that most people consider Jonathan a failure.
You know I am not lying, will continue to say the situation of things, though some are still being morally and mentally enslaved. I imagine why you consider the report our leaders sacrificed their time, energy and even risked their lives, something to be thrown away. Some participants from Southwest almost had plane crash, but thank God. So you can consider the outcomes to be a big joke. No.
