nazeefsco:the same North where Jonathan mostly invested Nigerian resources at the expense of other zones... How we wish the money waisted on North so far is invested in the South... Industrialized South could have emerged! |
ok the rating is good and will serve as target for those not mentioned to rise up to challenges and do what is expected of them. |
miraclewonder:hmmm. parents in the south are serious about sending their children to good schools, where they will be trained to be responsible citizens to the the family in particular and the society in general. It seems some parents in the North are doing the opposite, sending their children to terrorist camp where they are registered as suicide bombers. It seems some parents over there attach no or little meaning to life. |
Moses and Aaron Confront Pharaoh God sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh to allow Israelites to go and serve Him. Pharaoh rejected the message and increased suffering of people God was about to deliver from oppression. Exodus 5:1 - Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go and hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. We have the followings for discussion: God's Word Rejected; God Affirms His Promise; God Reveals His Plan. God's word rejected: Moses had several encounters with God since he left Egypt. In the wilderness God assured him of His presence with him and commissioned him to lead Israelites out of the bondage. He had assured Moses that He would display His power to convince Pharaoh about freedom of His people. God also told Moses that Pharaoh would not grant the request, but by His mighty hand the Israelites would be freed from slavery. If God calls us to a task He will equip us with all we need to complete it, we just need to give thanks to Him and remain faithful to be successful. Pharaoh rejected Moses request and increased suffering of the people by increasing their hard work (Exodus 5:1-6). As their suffering continued they began to loose hope despite assurance of their freedom which was confirmed by miraculous signs Moses performed. The people were emotionally disturbed and felt bitter on injustice done to them. Consequently they blamed and despised Moses and Aaron for their increased suffering; they were forced to scatter all over the land of Egypt in search of materials needed to do and complete their hard work (Exodus 5:19-21). God sometimes does what He has promised to do at His appointed time, and the interval between His timing and our expectations may be the period of time our faith is being tested. In such a situation we should trust God and seek His direction. God Affirms His Promise: Moses was disturbed about Pharaoh's negative reaction and harsh response of his people that he questioned God concerning His promised deliverance (Exodus 5:22-23). He had forgotten what God had said earlier that Pharaoh's heart would be hardened so that he would not allow the people to go. Moses lacked the understanding of how events would unfold at God's timing. God wasn't angry with Moses about his complaints, He just told him that their deliverance was that very time (Exodus 6:1-13). That the time had come to prove His might and show His power in the land of Egypt. He reminded Moses of His covenant with the Israelites that they would be His people, and He would be their God. They were already discouraged and weakened in faith as a result of the increased suffering, but God was ready to do what He promised. When faith is being tested, believers are encouraged to remain faithful and focus on God concerning His promise and assurance. God Reveals His Plan: God said He would make Moses to be like God in the eyes of Pharaoh. He said Moses would be like God to Aaron, and Aaron would be a prophet to him. Moses would go and represent the One true God before Pharaoh, while Aaron would be speaking on his behalf (Exodus 7:1-2). God was about to perform miracles that would make people believe and serve One true God. God hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he could have spiritual encounter with with Him and see manifestation of His power. He would perform miracles, bring judgement on the land and deliver His people so that all people would know and believe in One true God (Exodus 7:3-7). The loving and eternal God raises hope when it seems there is no hope. To God be the glory. Lesson Texts: Exodus 5:1 thru 6:13; 7:1-7. |
Bayswater:General feelings? The result will bring surprises as stated before. General feelings could be assumed as deceit, individual feeling is that which rocks. Many would have understood what I mean. |
daresimon:Leaders who have concern about national interest at the time FG called for the meeting. We all know leadership of APC warned the party members not to attend. I wouldn't understand If the APC members that didn't attend the meeting are the ones you believe as the leaders that matter. You know participants were picked according to many factors. It appeared that APC was just a fraction of the expected concerned leaders. Leaders from other parties attended the meeting, you know. |
Bayswater:Many people should have reasoned things might not work according to their calculations. Oyo State is politically sensitive and stubborn. For the information of people out there the result of coming elections will bring lots of surprises. |
daresimon:which question? Do you mean leaders who concluded the national conference don't matter. If that is your thought you are just deceiving yourself |
rasco2000me:Corruption is the serious issue that we must join hands to fight to get rid of in our society. It is a pity that presently we don't have any leading party Federal, States and Local governments free of corruption, except we deceive ourselves. |
rasco2000me:omo kekere to ni enu agba n run. Bi omode ba laso bi agba ko le ni ekisa bi agba. vote your conscience and let others do. |
daresimon:Yeah all Yoruba leaders that matter want to see Jonathan beyond May 29. These concerned individuals don't want to labour in vain. They want the positive results out of the contributions to national conference. They have stated it point blank to us, the youths that implementation of the report will address so many issues, and lay to rest series of controversies. They say the report has taken care of lapses that allow corruption, injustice, insecurity, imbalance in the States and LGs across the geopolitical zones and many more. To all these we support those who matter and wouldn't want to labour in vain. |
MANY THANKS PRESIDENT JONATHAN FOR YOUR INITIATIVE AND THE BENEFITS FARMERS HAVE RECEIVED SO FAR SINCE THE INCEPTION OF YOUR ADMINISTRATION. AS EARLY PLANTING SEASON SETS IN FARMERS EXPECTATIONS ARE HIGH TO RECEIVE THE PACKAGES AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. KUDOS OUR ABLE AND DYNAMIC MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE, KUDOS PRESIDENT JONATHAN. |
Xaintkelvin:Peace loving people of Nigeria have given them enough opportunities to show face, turn from their wicked deeds and embrace peace. Now the faceless and wicked people couldn't be more useful than straw everyone sees as dirty rubbish. Just pray the country will get rid of the bad rubbish called boko haram within 2-3 weeks given by the military to do the work. |
Good Nigerians are joining hands to see final end of Boko haram and disgrace of their sympathisers. Glory be to God, the Northern parts will soon experience absolute peace that their hosted enemies have disturbed for years. |
hadizadeezy:ok. he can't bear and many too can't risk bearing Satan, even those who don't know God. |
Misogynist2014:that's the only name divinely personified. The wonderful name which is not associated with wickedness, violence, ungodliness and unrighteousness. That's is reason people can't afford to bear the name |
kennaustine:rily |
Weah96:you consider the benefits as being trivial, but many people have realized great benefits and wouldn't do without it. Won't you be surprised that most women like to go after circumcised men. Can you understand reason for that? |
Weah96:male circumcision wasn't barbaric, it was divine, commanded by God. Apart from being divine many benefits are attached to it. |
ZACHIE:an idle response from the likes of you. |
ZACHIE:completed and commissioned by OBJ? Stop the sentiments give honour to whoever completed a project for benefits of all people. |
jethro2:Not at all. Farmers were met and registered in the villages and towns irrespective of any affiliation whatsoever. I was part of the team that conducted the registration 4 & 3 years ago and the farmers have benefited for three years consecutively. |
omonnakoda:Some in the stomach nah... and others at home and in the markets. |
Handsomeemmy:creation of e-wallets for million farmers is not a joke. The plan was to reimburse the farmers and make farm inputs available to the them at highly subsidized rates. Hope the program will continue this year sha. |
knightsTempler:all people and nations behind boko haram will be exposed. They shall all be put to shame. |
Fhemmmy:You know it took all of us, not government alone and even United Nations some time to describe boko haram guys as terrorists. |
Fhemmmy:Gbam! |
lewis33:This your response shows nothing satisfies human beings except death. So It is good for a responsible government or leader to match evil for evil, violence for violence without taking a time make peace. It is after all chances of peace and security are exhausted that war is returned for war, and destruction for destruction. Boko haram guys are already harvesting seeds of sorrow they had successfully planted with collaborative efforts of dubious leaders out there. |
Fhemmmy:Just know one thing that boko haram guys have exhausted grace and mercy Jonathan had for them all these days, thinking they might repent and sheath their swords. Hope you have sincerely followed the trend of boko haram from the beginning, how they started, and the human face they wore though in lion skin. For political attention and favour the same people who had seen them as their relatives that must be protected are now lamenting on their evils and blaming Jonathan for their escalated violence. We know them, we read what they said that, engaging and destroying boko haram was like decimating the North. Hope you could understand how they complicated the issue right from the beginning. |
Fhemmmy:what the military is doing presently couldn't have been possible if the main aim was to retrieve the abducted school girls from the cell of terrorists alive. Those guys are wicked and nothing but beasts. hope you watched how similar groups burned a journalist alive, and how they slew 23 Egyptian Coptic Christians. These were the people United Nations tried all they could to rescue. |
xenten:pray that the time has come for complete eradication of boko haram and its evil just as a gardner gets rid of weeds in the house. may boko haram never rise to see light of the day in Nigeria again. |
lewis33: kosovo:By God's grace this year will mark the end of boko haram and peace will soon return to the Northern parts where the insurgents were hosted to disturb peace and waste lives and properties. |
