maestroferddi:That's why e voting could mislead people and fail their expectations. |
bangleslover:So electorates can make history by voting this humble woman as the first female president. Maybe she is the only person that can lay controversies surrounding both Uncle Jona and Malam Gmb to rest. |
Miracle at the Red Sea God is miracle working God, He worked miracles in the past, today and in the future He will continue to perform miracles. Miracles are actions performed by God, Christ or men of God which are contrary to natural rules. They are supernatural events which are only possible through the power of God. Exodus 14:29 - The children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. We have the followings for discussion: God's People Fear Destruction; God Assures His People; God Miraculously Delivers His people. Miracle at the Red Sea: As the Israelites continued the journey in the wilderness they were told to encamp by the sea, which would make Pharaoh think they were in trouble and wouldn't advance any longer (Exodus 14:1-4). Israelites' departure from Egypt was still like dream to Pharaoh that he thought of pursuing and getting them back to Egypt. He had forgotten about God's presence with Israelites and how God dealt with Egyptians as a result of his stubbornness (Exodus 14:5-9). Once God sets the stage for what He will do, nothing can disturb His work. We just need to trust Him and follow His direction. The Israelites were afraid as Pharaoh and his army were coming after them with Red Sea ahead and no way of escape. They thought they were trapped and doomed to die, and in frustration they reacted angrily against Moses (Exodus 14:10-12). Fear had caused them to forget how God proved His presence previously in their midst. Difficult circumstances can make people forget about God's goodness and care so easily as the Israelites did, but if they believe that those circumstances are to strengthen and make them trust God the more, He will make them overcome and be people of blessings to others. God Assures His People: Moses response to fear of his people gave them hope and comfort in God. They were encouraged to stand firm and not to fear (Exodus 14:13-14). In the seemingly impossible situation they were told to hold their peace, remain still, and trust God. He had performed numerous miracles about their deliverance, so in that difficult situation He couldn't just forget about them. As the Israelites did, all we need in tight and difficult situation is to place our trust in God. He has the power to bring about real and lasting peace. No power on earth can change His plan (Romans 8:31). Moses was instructed by God to hold his rod and stretch his hand over the sea for yet another powerful miracle to be performed (Exodus 14:15-18). God that brought the people that far was still available to turn their fear to joy. At times In the presence of hard challenges it can be difficult to surrender to God and move on in faith, but we just have to do so. Problems that defile human solutions can be successfully solved through divine intervention. God would allow Pharaoh to further try His power until his deadly and final defeat so that all people will know God of Israel is the One True God. God Miraculously Delivers His People: Pharaoh's army had ample opportunity to acknowledge the power of God and desist from acting contrarily to His will when they were frightened by the display of His wonders. The Lord's presence was shown as the pillar of cloud by the day and pillar of fire by the night which made it so difficult for Pharaoh and his army to advance with the Israelites (Exodus 14:19-22). By this God expressed His dual nature: He saves and judges. Moses did as instructed, he stretch his hand over the sea and there came strong eastern winds that parted the sea. The waters separated and stood as walls to the left and right so that Israelites walked through dry ground across the Sea to the other side. Egyptians were thrown into confusion, but they followed the path in the sea to pursue Israelites. As the last person of the Israelites set feet out of the sea Moses stretched his hand over the sea again and the walls of water collapsed immediately. Pharaoh and all his army were drowned in the sea (Exodus 14:23-31). One will wonder why Pharaoh's magicians couldn't cause the pillars to stand until they they too would be out of the sea. Devil's miracles are like tricks, God's miracle is supernatural. It was like Israelites were trapped between the sea and the army that was set for their destruction, but God saved them by His mighty power. Today God can still demonstrate His power among people that love Him and set themselves apart for His service. To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Exodus 14:1-31 |
blackmiamy:Very good Google can successfully achieve this. |
Vote your conscience... Nothing to measure mind of man and declare him as the best. The seemingly best can end up being the worst, and likewise the seemingly worst can end up being the best. Our assessments are often based on the past of man with little or no hope in his ability to shape the future for expected development. WE NEED TRANSFORMATION FOR GLORIOUS CHANGES. LIKEWISE PEOPLE WITH NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AGAINST GENUINE DEVELOPMENT AND PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE OF PEOPLE SHOULD CHANGE THE MINDS. Neither Gej nor Gmb has a clean past, but we just have to decide on one for the president. They say Jona supported corruption, while Gmb shielded terrorism |
I HATE LIES AND HYPOCRISY, SURPRISINGLY APC WHICH HAS BEING PORTRAYING ITSELF AS A PARTY OF THE SAINTS SEEMS TO BE FLOODED WITH LIARS AND HYPOCRITES |
While others are working on what will bring development to their people, the Northeast is developing items of massive destruction, and after some years they will be crying of underdevelopment ,high level of illiteracy and poverty in their society. Careful examination of the present development in the north and proper reading of minds and studying of feelings have revealed that majority of notherners are not happy to see boko haram loosing the battle. If not I cant understand why their joy is not fullest with final collapse and death of boko haram |
Workers should take it easy nah, the governor will settle them as promised, which might even be at the time least expected |
argon500: ozoigbondu:At the mentioning of Fayose politicians are taken by surprise and left with mixed feelings. Some may say he is making inflammatory statements, but when his message is read with understanding one will discover that the man has made some points. |
searching4love:Who are the infidels your god loves to fight, kill some and subdue others by violence. This mentality is both animalistic and barbaric, you and your likes need to repent and forsake wicked practices. True God we know is God that wouldn't want evil for people that believe in him. |
noblezone:Hmmm... So Arabs design for political movement and gains in the name of God has being destroying unsuspecting people and nations! May God save Nigeria. Boko haram was fully prepared to destroy the country with reference to their religion. |
They shall be disgraced and defeated. Useless groups of people, and lowest in the ranks of animals living in Sambisa forest. |
sirscripture:Whatever a person that makes history does will forever be remembered about him or her. You don't need to express annoyance on history made by person you don't know but which you learn of. You just have to reason what could have caused the person to behave in an unusual and strange way, which couldn't have offered blessings and good memorial about him to all people. |
ozoigbondu:WE MUST BE GLAD TO SEE THE END OF EVIL.DOERS, THE BOKO HARAM, ALL THEIR SPONSORS WILL SOON BE PUT TO SHAME AND SAD END, EXCEPT THEY CONFESS OPENINGLY AND ASK GOOD PEOPLE OF NIGERIA TO FORGIVE THEM. HENCEFORTH THEIR ALLIANCES WITH OTHER EXTERNAL CRIMINAL FORCES WILL NEVER HOLD, BUT WILL RESULT IN DISASTER AND FAILURE. ISIS, ISL AND OTHERS WILL FOLLOW SIMILAR SAD END IN HISTORY. |
Hope boko haram has ben completely wiped out and their remembrance cut off, and never to surface again. |

I DONT THINK THERE IS ANY OF THEM PERFORMING WONDERFULLY WELL WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, AND WITHOUT ADDING COLOUR TO BENEFITS ACCRUED TO STATES FROM THE ABOVE. MANY STATES HAVE CONCENTRATED MUCH EFFORT ON PROJECTS THAT WILL GET REFUNDS FROM FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, SOME HAVE REBRANDED SIMILAR PROJECTS, AND THEY WILL MAKE YOU BELIEVE SUCH PROJECTS ARE THEIR INITIATIVES. |
Those terrorists are well prepared and determined to destroy government of the country in order to build their own system of terror. I pray the military will wipe them off the shores of Nigeria soonest, the monsters and destroyers must not find resting place in Nigeria. Their time is up, Their memories soon to be cut off. |
Nice work, though I am finding it difficult to see if hausa, yoruba and igbo have close origin. Nothing in common with the interpretation of common objects. |
lollybee15:Who is really fooling who in SW? Jonathan pdp and his cabinet, corrupt powers that be in States and their parties, pdp or apc? |
They say there is power in tongue. With the staff of office in their hands and pointing at Gej, it's like they are binding what they are saying with authority. Some say the kings are blessing, some say they are cursing. But it would be difficult for leaders to publicly display ignorance. If they are blessing, it's for what cause, and if they are cursing, It's to achieve what? They are not the masterminds of insurgence in Nigeria, they too want it's complete eradication before the period of elections, so why should they curse their country? |
The Passover Instituted God would perform the last miracle which would overwhelm Pharaoh and his people and make them to send the Israelites out of Egypt. The passover marked the beginning of the event that put an end to oppression of God's people. Likewise it was instituted to commemorate their deliverance. Exodus 12:13 - And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. We have the followings for discussion: The Passover Event; The Exodus; The Passover remembered. The Passover Event: God gave Moses and Aaron the direction to follow in preparation for the passover. The passover lambs were to be slaughtered and their blood applied to doorposts and lintels of houses of the Israelites for protection against God's judgement upon Egypt (Exodus 12:21-23). The "destroyer" an angel sent by God for the judgement was to spear inhabitants of the houses marked by the blood. The Israelites were also instructed to stay inside their houses throughout the night of the passover day. Generations of Israelites were required to observe the passover feast. The feast was meant to remember God's saving grace and power by which Israelites were rescued from slavery and preserved from death (Exodus 12:24-28). Just as people faithfully responded by bowing and worshipping God, Christians are expected to faithfully respond to God's word and follow the Bible as the standard for faith and conduct. The destroyer passed through Egypt at the midnight and houses without protection of the blood were smitten. Firstborn males of all Egypt's households including their livestock died (Exodus 12:29-30). God had earlier warned Pharaoh of the impending danger if he failed to release the Israelites. Pharaoh's stubbornness led to the final disaster upon his people. The Egyptians reacted with intense fear and anger such that they were ready to allow the people of God to go as demanded. The Exodus: The horrors of death gripped Pharaoh and his people, thus he was eager to release Israelites. Egyptians were in haste to see the people go to where God wanted them to be. Pharaoh didn't want to suffer any longer, he asked Moses to bless him as the Israelites were about to leave (Ex 12:31-36). Fear of more death gripped Egyptians that they provided Israelites with gold, silver and clothing and wanted them to leave in haste. The Israelites were filled with joy (Ex 12:40-42), relief and thanksgiving as they were leaving Egypt. They didn't leave with empty hands, they were given good shares of wealth and treasure of Egypt as spoken by God (Ex 3:21-22; 11: 2-3). They were led out of the land with 600,000 men plus children and the women. They also left with flocks and herds. They had endured years of oppression in captivity but when God's time came nothing could stop their deliverance. Their deliverance was at the day they had lived for exactly 430 years in Egypt. Just as the Israelites trusted and obeyed God for their deliverance, Christians must trust God and learn His word for instruction, direction and to secure His protection. We can be filled with joy when God responds to our needs and the time we recall wonderful things God has done in our lives. The Passover Remembered: It was to be remembered by dedicating all firstborn males of people and their animals to God. The Israelites were chosen by God as His firstborn (Ex 4:22), which indicated special relationship with God. The obligation of being the firstborn of God was later transfered to the Levi (Number 3:11-13) and in the new testament Christians have taken up the devotion (1 Peter 2:9-10), and with the institution of the Lord's Super Christ renewed the Passover and made it applicable for all people (Matthew 26:26-30). Through faith in Christ believers are set apart for service to God as His chosen people. God demanded that Israelites would commemorate their deliverance. They were to hold seven-day feast to rejoice and pass the message down to future generations. The blood of passover lamb was used for protection and deliverance of Israelites in Egypt, but in new testament Jesus became the Passover Lamb. Through his blood he bears sins of humanity, saves souls from consequences of sin and makes God's salvation available for all. To God be the glory. Exodus 12: 1 thru 13:10. |

breadandbutter:Time for those around you to watch and monitor your behaviour. You can misbehave and strike at any time. For your information many eyes are now watching you, you can't find hidden place to do your beheading in SW. |
Deltagiant:WOW! Something the Oyinbos will take to any length and study very well in order to find out how different cultures and tribes can annex what they have in common for mutual benefits. It is a pity to see Yorubas and Igbos bashing one another on issues that have nothing good to offer anyone. |
breadandbutter: breadandbutter: breadandbutter:I fear oh. Potential terrorists are not property of the North only. Yoruba should be more careful and watch behaviors of the vagabond among them. This man or boy is probably a Yoruba, his utterances have portrayed him as a dangerous person. Everyone should beware of his likes, and be his brother's keeper. |
Rapidx:What a beautiful compilation and great similarity. Yoruba and Igbo might have separated from very close origin or similar origin somewhere in... Hope someone can shed more light |
MRLINGTON:You are not fair enough. Why can't you advice ppl to vote the two parties OUT. Both wasted resources you and others could have benefited from. Both of them are wasting millions of Naira on compains, presently many States can't pay workers, and you tend to favoure one criminal at the expense of the other. oladapolif:As if boko haram are not guys from the North. Havn't you heard of the names of sons of their rich and powerful leaders collaborating with terrorists. They are much interested in power changing hands in favour of one of their own, you are like other cheap employees needed to hasten the process |
Between certificate forgery and the yearnings for progress. |
Kelklein:Stop fooling people. He is not a boy nah, a man indeed, and he is not poor, he is very rich, from very rich family, son of former CJ of the federation for that matter. The man was mentally enslaved and decided to be an agent of Satan just like his boko haram brothers. We can now understand that very rich people of the North and their children are the brains behind boko haram. |
