Booked appointment-1st April 2021 by 12:01am
Appointment invitation e-mail-8th July 2021
Appointment date-6th August 2021
Approval e-mail-5th October 2021
Visum-15th October 2021
My own visa processing lingered because i did the summer semester online in Nigeria,so the consulate requested for proofs in the form of- (i.)an up to date enrollment certificate/letter from my school, showing that my enrollment is still active. (ii.)transcription of records ie to show what i've actively done in my course of study from the day of enrollment/the day lectures started. That is,lecture notes, tests, experiments, assignments,if possible exams.
I forwarded all these to them as pdf on the 14th of August after they requested them on the 9th of August, setting 30th of August as the deadline for submission.
On 3rd September i received an e-mail from them saying that they've not received any document(i guess the mistake was from me because i didn't follow the replying sequence of the e-mails sent by the consulate, which have my visa code/number already.I sent the e-mail as a fresh one without the code. So,it was hard for them to know it was me) and i was given 7th of September as the last deadline to do so.
That same 3rd September,i forwarded the soft copies to them through the e-mails that have my visa code/number and hard copies at the consulate on the 6th of September.
And it dawned on me that it was that 6th of September that the processing of my visa application really started after having my interview over a month and hoping for an approval e-mail.
My advice-please,if your school is going online and you couldn't secure a visa that semester, join them and keep your evidences, because your successful visa application depends on the proofs that you really participated. The German consulate isn't joking about this.Infact if you did a semester online in Nigeria, include those aforementioned documents with others and submit them on your interview day to avoid delay in the processing of your visa.
All the best! See you in Germany!!
Congratulations..can you please list your interview questions? Thanks 3 Likes |

It's high time some of you began to search and know some easily accessible information for yourselves. Go to the German consulate's website and read everything about student visa and applications. Yes,you're a student,go to work. It'd take your energy, time and resources but it's worth it,than waiting for somebody to feed you almost with every information.
To your questions- There's nothing like refreshing the system again, particularly for category B applicants and no particular time for category B applicants to start booking(initially,it was 1st April and 1st October yearly). You can now book at any time, depending on your school's calendar for the successive year. The waiting period for category B applicants from June this year is now more than one year.Which means if you book this September, you're likely to be invited for interview around September or October 2022. See the link below. The ball is in your court.
https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/service/visa/student-research-and-language-course-visa/1015536 Bros did the embassy specify on the article or their website that as from june 2021,the waiting period is now one year?,bro you book now or you booked 10months ago, we are in same ship sailing...the embassy are not ready yet for category B, no one knows the embassy plan. |

Got my visa today... read this thread thoroughly (but only after applying), I must say there's a good deal of dishonesty on here. I never used any agent, only applied once and got the visa. If you're currently in Europe but were fleeced by an agent promoting fictitious "visa guarantee fees" during your own application process, please stop telling others they need to pay the same. I encourage everyone to diligently get the required documents, apply yourself, and you will have an excellent chance... not just for Ukraine. Wishing everyone success. P.S Only paid about 70k in total for both visa and courier. That's over 1.4M less than what your agent is demanding. Please bro..I don't know how to send email through nairaland, can you please send me a mail riscoky@gmail.com, have some few questions |

I didn't submit any document to the immigration office because of the problem outlined in my previous update. These are the ones i can remember-age declaration certicate from Nigeria, police character from Nigeria, police character from Benin republic, lab test in Benin republic, any bill payment receipt of your residence in Benin, certificate from the chief or mayor in charge of your resident area/zone in Benin etc. Immigration officials go still come your house to still check whether the place u mention na where u dey live abi u lie.Using hotel as residence isn't allowed. Yes,it was for resident permit. Nawa o,no b small thing, Germany embassy in Nigeria cause all this headache |

Your interview can be conducted in English. That won't be a problem. But,the last time i checked, their immigration office in Cotonou has not repaired their central computer system since February this year. I went there in January, gathered all the required documents in March, went to the immigration office to submit them, tori come enter.Till now,the same story. Some of the documents have since expired. So,you can't submit the documents without your data being taken. So,make sure the system has been repaired before making any move. And processing of the permit takes about two to three months, plus the six months stay. That's roughly 8 to 9 months waiting altogether. I don bone them since. Like what documents did you submit at the immigration? And was the documents for the residence permit or what? |

Arrived in Kyiv on Monday, have been unable to come here due to activities, preparations for travel, and now settling down here. My experience at Boryspil airport on Monday convinces me even more that no agent can possibly guarantee you entry to Ukraine. There are various departments that seem to work independently of each other. The airport is a bit like embassy 2.0, they ask questions again and you get evaluated again on the spot. I assume you're here so you should know this. If I had paid 1500$ to any agent I wouldn't have afforded my travel. It's still cheaper to apply by yourself 5 times than to pay 1500$ to an agent that still can't guaranty entry. This is my own opinion, to each their own. Btw, I'm in Gatne if anyone would like to hangout Bro so what do you suggest if I do after getting an invite, cause someone said I need to pay some fee to the embassy, please advise |
