The reason might be because the foreigners they have the money to invest in the country, due to our weak naira against their own foreign currency so they might reason that it's easier to establish a business here than in their home country, as they have the capital.
But we living in the country don't have access to such large capital for business so we would rather go out to find it and later come back and invest here.
Even as a Nigeria, there are some Africa countries that our naira is still stronger than.
It's always about the Money. |

abhosts: You guys continue to tell the same lies even when it is obvious you are saying nonsense. Did closing the border and banning imported rice make local rice any cheaper? Did the naira gain a single percent against the dollar then?
China that is the manufacturing hub of planet earth spent $3.1T on imports in 2022 alone. Their total exports that same year was $3.4T . So more local production does not lead to less importation, rather it increases the demand to import because one country can't produce all the raw materials and components involved in the manufacturing process.
You people that cannot point to a single successful multi-billion naira business of your own, would be giving useless economic analysis. Don't mind them giving uselessx economic analysis. Mshewww |

On the 1st of October in Benin Ologbo the border between Edo and Delta, a tanker fell down and spilled fuel, so many of the residents of the community went to scoop fuel but for some unexplainable reasons there was a spark and an explosion occured and many of the residents were burnt beyond recognition.
The explosion also affected some travellers along that routes, lives were lost.
Last Sunday I was on my way to church and I saw people gathering together I didn't even know what was happening, but something prompted me to ask and I did, the response I got was that a tanker spilled fuel on the ground and the driver jumped out. I was stunned, I could now observed why motorists were made to pass one lane only.
Now this is also happening in Lagos State
Everyone be prayerful, these are dark times. |

Where is the money going to come from
People think countries just manufacture money. If you are not productive you cannot have money just like a company. Foulish people think money is paper currency. They don't know that money is all about value creation. I don't like being around dull people. Who can't think. |

This has proven to us that this country doesn't have the mental strength to think.
Tufiakwa .
A consuming nation that hardly produce or export anything to earn forex is thinking of increasing minimum wage to 100k as if that would solve the problems.
Invest heavily in Agriculture and the excess harvest would bring down the price of food and food inflation would be a thing of the past.
When there is excess food that is about to spoil, the sellers would be forced to bring down the price.
Solve food problems and see the effects it would have on the economy.
100k minimum wage wouldn't solve anything.
Sometimes I wonder if this country has economists.
