RomanceRe: Your Boyfriend Is Not Your Atm by RickyRoss1(m): 10:16am On Oct 23, 2011
Blood_Shed:
If you don't behave like a girl's ATM then you're not "man enough".

Funny how manhood is measured these days by how much you kiss a woman's Bottom.

1) A real man never raises his hands at a woman, even if she's standing over you with an axe to your head
2) A real man always compliments a woman, even if it ain't due.
3) A real man always opens doors for a woman, even if he's carring something with both hands and she isn't.
4) A real man always takes care of his woman's children, even when he's not the father.

It goes on
What a stupid post. A bitchh once told me a real man is that one that suckss puccy, well to me a real woman is that one that sucks my arse.
I wish all men are like me. Remember, God who made me a man is not stupid. A woman is to compliment a man and not to be a competitor to him.
I am not your ATM, I am not your bank. Your parents should be able to take care of you till you marry. If your parents cant take care of your then you should wake your arse up and get a damn job no matter how small.

Well I prefer educated and working class ladies. Dem jobless girls are usually CHEAP and STUPID, they usually flow with the highest bidder
PoliticsRe: Okonjo-Iweala: Is She The Messiah We Are Waiting For, Or Do We Look For Another? by RickyRoss1(m): 8:53pm On Oct 22, 2011
stagger:
I need to ask this question because this subsidy removal plan of hers is going to affect Nigerians negatively.

I have begun to count the cost of such a move to my business, which will definitely go up at a time when I am already hard pressed passing on the same to consumers.

I am considering moving to Benin Republic as a result. Personally, I have witnessed the effect of the policies of these World bank economists starting from 1986. I saw what the introduction of SAP by Chu Okongwu and Kalu Idika Kalu did to the standard of living of my family as a boy. Now I am having to face similar choices as a man and frankly, I need to give my kids better option.

I have a very deep and concentrated hatred for these world bank economists, and when I see Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala talking on TV about this their "growth of the Nigerian economy" at a time when I see all the poverty around, my blood just boils uncontrollably.

Personally, I will like to see her and the haters of the Nigerian populace who have done nothing but stolen this country blind, dragged on the streets like Muammer Gadhafi.

Some will argue that she got Nigeria's debt profile reduced, but I think Nigerians were not told the true story of the cost of that process. I have never known the Paris or London Club of creditors to be that magnanimous when dealing with third world countries.

IN CAPITALISM, NOTHING GOES FOR NOTHING. France and Italy were promised a large chunk of Libya's oil rights, which is why they led the NATO bombardment to take down Gadhafi.

Why should Nigerians pay so much money for something produced from the riches under their feet? If indeed there is subsidy, why does she want the responsibility of feeding this oil cabal transferred to the Nigerian people, when refineries could have been built with the kind of money I know that many people are carting away in Abuja on a daily basis? (I know this for a fact because I live in the FCT and I know some of these people on a one-one basis)

Nigerians, we need to wake up! An unemployed graduate set himself ablaze for Tunisia, Egypt and Libya to be free. When do we wake up from our self-induced stupor?
Well I suspect you are part of dem group that has been bleeding Nigeria dry. I suspect you are benefiting from that fuel subsidy money thats why you sound very bitter and angry? Truth is, the subsidy money doesn't benefit Nigerians and I support it to be removed 100%. Let them use the money to fix our roads, refineries and build new ones.

As for you relocating to Benin, what are you waiting for? Why not even run to Pluto, does it matter? As far as I know, there are many Nigerians who took that step before you and relocated all their business overseas but today most of them are regretting it. If you are honest with yourself, you will agree with me no matter the electricity wahala here in Nigeria, you cant make much profit from any other African country like you will make in Nigeria. I have presence in so many African countries so I know what am talking about. Only the abuse and prejudice you will receive overseas just for being a Nigerian will make you wanna return home. There is no place like home my dear, I know Nigeria is not as good as I want it to be, but instead of joining lazy fools to bring GEJ down, I try my best to contribute my quota to this country. If you are complaining about light or petrol price, you need to ask people in Liberia and Sierra Leone how far and yet their citizens are not running away to set up business outside.

Even if you bring JESUS CHRIST to run this country you guys will still complain. Why are we always blaming the presidents, what about us the common man on the street, the taxi drivers, the market women, ARE WE HONEST? I was in Ogun state few weeks ago for a short visit, i hired a taxi to take me round for 3 hours, you know how much he charged me? 10,000 naira for less than 3 hours on a 30 year old taxi that doesn't have ac, yet petrol is available and cheap 65 naira per gallon. The story is the same when you go to the market to buy things. We all are to be blamed for this mess in Nigeria, so quit blaming Okonjo Iweala and GEJ coz they mean well for this country.

You gave instance of an unemployed graduate who set himself ablaze in Tunisia, what are you waiting for, why not start the Nigerian experiment, set yourself ablaze so others can follow you or are you too scared to die?

All in all, if we keep running away from our country then tell me who is gonna develop our country for us and employ our youths?
BusinessGhana Needs A New Capital City? by RickyRoss1(op): 10:32pm On Oct 21, 2011
It is generally thought that a capital city should be strategically located in a central place to serve as a growth pole. A growth pole is a nucleus or core from where growth spreads in all directions outward to the periphery. Accra is constrained by its position as it cannot grow southwards towards the sea. Besides, the sea location is vulnerable to an amphibious attack.

It is also a known fact that Accra lies in an earthquake prone fault line. Judging by the current congestion of Accra in terms of population, houses and vehicular traffic, it would be expected that a national plan should be rolled out so that a new capital could be built in an interior location such as near Atebubu or Kintampo. Such a location should offer the possibility of growth in all directions with enough land for future developments such as aerodromes, housing complexes, sports fields, gardens, schools and colleges, among others. Such a new capital should disallow sunset or heavy manufacturing activity which pollutes the environment.

If we take the case of Nigeria, we see that Abuja is the new federal capital with the old capital Lagos serving as the commercial capital. Since Abuja came on stream, Lagos has lost nothing in its commercial appeal. It still maintains its functionality and primacy as a millionaire city. Lagos is said to be the fastest growing city in the world. I lived in Lagos for seven years and I can testify that in deed Lagos is a megacity or super cosmopolis. The demands the huge population makes of the city administration is a nightmare. All forms of service delivery suffer, ranging from transport, electricity, water and health. In the case of water, Lagosians are better off than most urban dwellers in the world because Nigeria as a country is blessed with abundant underground water and mighty rivers. The water table everywhere in Nigeria is quite shallow and artesian formations are commonly found all over.

With the construction of Abuja, a lot of governmental services have been relocated to the serene surroundings of Asho Rock and Abuja is equidistant from the farthest comers of the country. The construction of Abuja in the eighties and nineties created a milieu of jobs and numerous multiplier effects. However, corruption was at its apogee and with oil revenue, many scams went unchecked. Many Nigerian contractors and politicians became stinkingly rich from dubious contracts. Suppliers had a field day as they overinflated federal contracts. Nigerians were fortunate during the oil boom in the mid-seventies to the mid-eighties as they contracted quality contractors from Germany and France to develop superior infrastructure throughout the country. These included famous companies such as Julius Berger and Strabag who constructed the mighty pre-fabricated flyover interchanges, arterial roads and Lagos Airport terminal.

If a new capital is to be built in Ghana, I recommend our policy makers should go to Germany to look for similar contractors to provide us quality service. Even the Austrians, French, Italians and Czechs could be considered. I will recommend that our policy makers research how Washington DC was planned and executed in the 18th and 19th centuries. Other countries which have experience in building new capitals include Australia (Canberra),South Africa (Pretoria), Tanzania (Dodoma), Cote D’Voire (Yamousoukro), Brazil (Brasilia), and Libya (Benghazi). To decongest Accra means decentralizing some of the governmental functions. This has been done in South Africa. There, the parliament (legislature) is in Cape Town, the Executive arm in Pretoria and the Judiciary in Bloemfontein. As a way of poverty intervention, job creation and even development of Ghana towards achieving the Better Ghana Agenda, I suggest that the following towns and municipalities should harbour the headquarters of the following line ministries:-

Finance, Defence, Foreign Affairs, Home Affairs - Accra
Legislatue, Tertiary Education - Kumasi
Judiciary - Cape Coast
Bank of Ghana - Sunyani
Tourism - Ho
Education - Winneba
Transport & Communication - Takoradi
Mining - Koforidna
Police - Tamale
Agriculture - Bolgatanga
Local Government - Wa
Industries - Tema
Works and Housing - Wenchi
Trade and Commerce - Kintampo
Tourism - Navrongo
Youth /Sports - Dodowa

In conclusion, I challenge the government to come out with a plan to build a new capital for Ghana based on a 20 year rolling plan which will be targeted at the year 2030. Such a capital city plan plus an accelerated decentralization plan will create numerous job opportunities and will quicken economic growth.

BusinessRe: GEJ On The Importance Of The Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) by RickyRoss1(m): 10:22pm On Oct 21, 2011
Beaf:
Illegality is the only thing being sacrificed. There were no laws governing the past structure (Excess Crude), therefore it was considered illegal by all comers.
The governors on the other hand saw this as a free for all to demand and divide, because the constitution has loopholes that entitles them to the ECA money; therefore, the country could never make any real savings or foreign investments.

The shiny brand new SWF is fully ring-fenced from any greedy paws by law (hence the governors are upset) and ties very neatly into the other economic and strategic plans of the FG, notably the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB).
One of the principal thrusts of the PIB is to break up the NNPC into several units that will all generate profits, rather than being the current budgetry sinkholes they are. One of the units of the split NNPC will be a drilling and prospecting company that will vie for business (prospecting, drilling and refining) across the Globe; much of such forays will be initially financed by the SWF; when the company is properly up and running, some of its profits will serve to drive the SWF.

The above is just a small example from the oil sector alone. Along with GEJ's new local content laws, we will see oil begin to work for the country for the first time in our 51 year history. Before now Shell and its likes simply drilled whatever quantity of oil they wanted, gave us any figure for number of barrels drilled, got paid without Nigerian involvement and that what it.
Slaves in our own land.

The SWF will help power all sorts of investments in every kind of field. Nigeria could, for example, invest in a high tech chip manufacturing plant in Hong Kong and filter the technology back home; we could even use our fund as aggressively as the Chinese use theirs and wholly buy up high tech companies all over the Globe. Before you know it, Nigeria would be a developed nation. We have the money to buy that for ourselves, in fact we have had it for decades, its just that we have also lacked visionary leaders for decades.

Well done GEJ, we be luv'n the Fresh Air! cool
Well said BEAF. Its unfortunate there are so many stupid people here, they are too blind to see that GEJ meant well for Nigeria.
I trust GEJ and wont sing praises yet till after 3 years, by then I will have enough evidence to speak in favor or against him. For now I will say he has good intentions and plans for Nigeria, And I pray for God to guide him.

Now if you feel you hate GEJ as your president go hug transformer bc there's absolutely nothing you can do. You cant curse whom God has blessed. If you like call your president Retardeen or whatever stupid name, it doesn't matter. What matters is that he will still remain your president for at least 4 years. If you cant respect your elder/ president you will NEVER attain the level where someone will respect you.

OneNaija:
Port Harcourt - The Rivers State Government plans to spend 188 million Euros on the construction of a mono-rail in Port Harcourt and has earmarked one billion naira for a cable stayed bridge and ring road in the city.

The government has also asked the newly created Ministry of Niger Delta to assist the state government in the construction of the projects.

For the mono-rail, the government said it would aid in easing the transportation difficulties currently encountered by the people because of the sacking of commercial motorcyclists from Port Harcourt.

Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi told Chief Ufot Ekaete when the minister visited Port Harcourt, last weekend, that the Federal government had abandoned the state in terms of citing projects in the state, pointing out that it was a serious problem that must be resolved immediately.

"We think that part of the solution to that problem is to build a monorail that will be able to handle mass transportation of people and we will commence as soon as the Assembly passes the Appropriation Bill into law and we wish that you can partner with us".

Amaechi said it was regrettable that the topography of the area had made the cost of road construction so expensive, explaining that the state was the only one with about 3000 creeks, "causing people untold sufferings".

Particularly, he told Ekaete that many lives had been lost in the state as a result of cholera outbreak emanating from the pollution of the environment. He then begged the federal government to clean up the environment for the sake of the people.

He then identified unemployment, poverty, lack of infrastructural development and non-enforcement of the law as the factors responsible for the crisis in the Niger Delta, expressing the hope that the minister would use his experience to muster the necessary political will to find solutions to the problems.

Ekaete on his part agreed that the budget to the ministry this year was paltry in comparison with the myriad of problems but that it was better to start from somewhere and with what was available "and ask for more later because there is no time to waste".

He warned that some thieves who would come in the name of being contractors will be brought on their knees "because any project not properly executed in accordance with acceptable standards would be promptly terminated and the contractor and those connected thith the shoddy jobs prosecuted and public funds recovered."

BusinessRe: Abonnema Wharf - Port Harcourt's Dangerous Jetty by RickyRoss1(m): 12:29pm On Oct 21, 2011
Abagworo:
Port Harcourt — Abonnema wharf community is a popular but dangerous jetty in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. It is a waterfront community with an estimated population of over 23, 000 different families, living close to petroleum tank farms belonging to different oil companies, such as Sigmund Nigeria Limited ( now Aiteo energy resource), Sorelink oil and Dozzy oil and gas.

Angala-Pele- Poku, as it was originally known in the 1960s, the overcrowded shanty community, where 3-4 people share a sleeping room, is usually a busy commercial area, where tankers queue up daily to load refined petroleum products. It is also situated not too far from the Rivers State Government House, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) , the Rivers State Secretariat among others, which raises concern among many as well as residents of the area, of a possible explosion that may affect not just the 23, 000 families, but also government institutions.

This year, a major tragedy, witnessed by this reporter was averted when a fully loaded petroleum tanker exploded at a distance not too far from one of the companies that owns petroleum tank farms, damaging houses and forcing thousands of people to flee their homes for safety, considering the crowded nature of the houses, and a possibility of the fire extending to the tanks.

This reporter with two other journalists from Business Day and a Port Harcourt based newspaper, experienced the hazards of their profession when they were surrounded by youths in Abonnema Wharf, for the trying to find out the cause of a tanker explosion, that sent the entire residents and oil companies in the area to scamper for safety.

It took the intervention of some elders in the community, who took this reporter and his colleagues into their compounds, only to gather from a source that "Those boys attacking you people are the same boys who caused the explosion by going under the tanker to smoke Indian hemp, and they are afraid that when you get to find out and publish, they may be in trouble."

Mr. Jim Tom-George is the Public Relations Officers of the Abbonnema Wharf House Owners Association (AWHOA). He told this reporter "As a community, we have written petitions to the Rivers State Commissioner of police over the safety of the community from the activities of these oil companies, but nothing has been done about that."

Residents of Abonnema Wharf, who are believed to be 80% employed by the coastal marine, 25 % civil servants/oil workers and predominantly from the Ijaw and Kalabari ethnic groups, have continuously raised alarm over their safety, as regards the activities of oil companies surrounding them.

"The world must come to our aid! Tank farms are explosions waiting to happen. Living with petroleum tank farms is Hell!. Petroleum tanks will kill us, remove them now! Abbonnema Wharf community is not a refinery but home to over 23, 000 families. Take away your tanks of death," Abbonnema residents protest.

The PRO of AWHOA said that the community had repeatedly written several petitions to relevant authorities as well as the oil companies, expressing concern over the impending danger, but had never gotten a favorable response.

"We have been writing petitions to the government on this, but nothing has been done. What we are saying is that government should always take the lives of this community into consideration, when siting any economic development project. The Department for Petroleum Resources (DPR) who gave these companies the licenses to operate, should have carried out an environmental impact assessment. In developed countries, petroleum tank farms are built kilometers away from peoples' residential areas.

Now between January and February 2007 we experienced pollution from the sandblasting of tank farms, which sent residents to hospital and clinics for medical treatment. In May 2007, a fire caused by a fuel leakage raged for over thirty minutes. In August 2008, over 120 drums of petroleum oil facility spilled onto the streets of Abonnema Wharf, and members of the community were left to initiate clean-up efforts. In the process, hundreds of jerry cans were filled up. So also in January this year, a tanker loaded with refined petroleum sparked a fire that damaged houses, cars, crops and properties. It also resulted to injuries that sent many young people to the hospital." Tom George observed.

This reporter gathered that in the early 1960s, the petroleum tank depots in Abonnema Wharf were originally used for the storage of palm oil , before they were later sold to the oil companies, and were converted for the storage of refined petroleum products. The number of tanks surrounding the community according to a source, are estimated at 50 with Shorlinks owning about 5, while Sigmund has about 24 tanks, with the remaining are owned by other oil companies.

In a petition written by the Abonnema landlords/landladies Association to the Rivers State Ministry for Environment, the community pointed out that "The above umbrella body of landlord/landladies of Abonnema Wharf community writes to draw the Ministries and agencies attention to the grave, ongoing environmental hazards in Abbonema Wharf community, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, threatening public health and the environmental safety of the residents regarding Sigmund, Shorelink, Dozzy and other tank farm depots, located close to residential homes.

Businesses and the natural habitat of aquatic livestock, conflagration arising from possible explosion will devastate not only Abonnema Wharf, but also the Government House in Port Harcourt, state secretariat complex, Braithwaithe memorial hospital Central Bank Port Harcourt, part of old GRA and the whole mile one, NPA Rivers Port, Rivers State court complex , and offices which are just within scorching distance of the depots."

This reporter also gathered that the entire community including Njemazi (already demolished) is planned for demolition by the Rivers State government, as it is being regarded as safe havens for criminal elements who terrorist the state.

"Despite the presence of security personnel and check points along the entry to Abonnema Jetty, criminals still have a field day. If you are living here in Abonnema, you have to be careful of buying things from the youths. This is because most of these things are stolen properties. One funny thing about these youths is that when they run out of money after selling those stolen goods to you, they come back for another payment. If you refuse giving them something, they will threaten to go back and inform the original owner that you bought his or her stolen goods," A resident of the area who prefers anonymity, told this reporter.

However, the PRO of AHOA said, "The perception of the waterfront communities as being inhabited by criminals, and therefore being impenetrable and difficult to effect arrest in the area, is also not entirely true. It is all a mere excuse laced with deceit to uproot the Rivers Ijaw strong holds from Port Harcourt."

On the planned demolition, the PRO accused the state government of buying out properties from the owners, with the intention of using the land for whatever pleases it, including bringing in more oil companies and foreign investors to take over the land for other business venture.

The Rivers State Commissioner for Information and communication, Mrs Ibim Semenitari could not reached for comment, and did not also respond to several telephone calls and text messages sent to her.

"The Abonnema Wharf, if demolished will render an estimated 23,000 different families homeless. We have nowhere to go to from Abonnema Whaf community and it is made up of extended communities of (Afikpo, Akwuzu, Ojike, Uruala, Elechi and the displaced Njemazi waterfront", he said.

Njemanzi, which is one of the over 40 water-front communities, scattered across the state capital, was brought down to rubbles by bulldozers of the state government on the orders of Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi on August 28, 2009.

Recently, the Regional campaign coordinator of Amnesty International, Mr. Daniel Valls, disclosed in Port Harcourt, while speaking at the launch of 'people live here' campaign to mark the 2011 World Habitat Day, that more than two years after the demolition of Njemazi, over 17,000 residents of the waterfront are still homeless, and that the state government was yet to kick-start its much talked-about urban renewal programme.

Experts and residents alike see Abonnema as the most dangerous jetty to live in, whether it is seen from the perspective of the surrounding oil tanks and its proximity to government establishments, the uncertainty associated with the planned demolition of the area, or the dangers of living with criminal elements. All eyes are now on the Rivers State government.

The place is very dangerous, The Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has been fighting those people in court since 3 years now to dismantle and rebuild their town for them but they refused, they even called him many names and took him to court, claiming its their town and no one can force them out. The governor had good intentions and wanted to build new city for them but they refused. All these problem is bc Amaechi is not from their tribe. Sad but true

The Ghanaian doctors are on strike since last two weeks now and counting, they have refused to return to work and many people are dying in hospitals. If this is true, they will grab the opportunity with open arms.

By the way, most of these doctors are selfish, they prefer to be on strike while working in their own private hospitals. At the end of the day, the government will still pay them backlog of arrears. Its a shame.

another political talk to bamboozle outsiders, tell amaechi to repair the roads, the rains have stopped.
Lets be honest for once, this news is good and Amaechi is working for this state. Can you in any way compare Amechi to that greedy bastard called Odili? I live in Port Harcourt and can confirm that this governor is miles above any other Nigerian governor in the areas of education and medicare. Amaechi has build world class schools and hospitals all over this state, it started from the most interior villages to the main cities. The primary and secondary schools this man has built in this state is far much better and more advanced than some of the trash we call universities here in Nigeria. All these primary/secondary schools are fully air conditioned and fully equipped with standard lab, basketball courts, computer per student infact the building alone is class.

As for medicare there is free medicare for pregnant women and children under 6 years old and the elderly above 60 years. This has been existing in Rivers State for years. As for the quality of the hospitals here i will say its good. I am yet to see a governor that has done better than Amaechi in medical delivery

I agree many roads in PHC are bad but all these roads are under construction and the contractors were mandated to STOP work since they claim the previous jobs they did didn't last because they were mandated to work during rainy season. Only RCC is currently working (Eliozu Road) and their job quality is very good.

I am in Nigeria since December I have been able to spend at least 8 days in 10 different states of Nigeria if I should rate the governors Amaechi tops everyone in Education and medical delivery, and Enugu/Akwaibom is tops in road construction

I have never ever heard that an Ivorian citizen is involved in fraud or scam of any kind. Abidan looks exactly like Paris, with sky scrappers everywhere while Ghana looks like a slum, there is no single sky scrapper in the entire country called Ghana. Over 60% of Ghanaians shit open air due to lack of toilets, 65% of Ghanaians are illiterates and thousands of school are conducted under trees in Ghana.
You are just angry that I dont allow you lazy poor fools spread your lies and deceit on Nairaland.

In Ghana Most Of The Youths, both boys and girls Are Involved In 419 Scam (Sakawa) and no one is talking about it? The Nigerian Men That Invented 419 Over 15 Years Ago Are All Alive Today Enjoying Their Wealth Bc They Mostly Use Their Brains, But Your Sorry A/S/S Ghanian Brothers And Sisters Are Using Black Magic (Charms) To Make White People Believe Their Stories Bc They Are Too Dumb To Convince Oyinbo With Natural Wisdom. This is why these Ghanaian 419 scammers always die within 3 years and you and I knows this to be true.

I don't know how a retarrd like you is even allowed to come to Ghana? I don't live in Europe but I know the woring ways of the stinking Nigerian prosttitutes in Europe. The white thrash don't even want to fck them anymore so they are selling their useless stinking nyases for $1. Sometimes they let their dogs fck them.

So you married a Ghanaian prosttitute who was selling herself in the slums of Accra? and you promised to take her to Nigeria? and she wants to go live in a shiit hole? I think what you have for a wife is a Ghanaian thrash, the lowliest of the Ghanaian prosttitues.

I'll make sure a useless Nigerian piimp like you is deported from Ghana.

A piece of shiit like you should be thrown out.

Useless of the useless Nigerian thrash.
MY WIFE IS FROM FANTE WHICH IS THE MOST EDUCATED TRIBE IN GHANA. EVEN THOUGH HER PARENTS ARE FROM GHANA, SHE WAS BORN AND RAISED IN A CIVILIZED COUNTRY WHERE SHE WAS STUDYING BEFORE I MET HER, SO CLEARLY MY WIFE IS NOT PART OF THE TRASH CALLED GHANA. FANTE IS THE ONLY TRIBE IN GHANA WITHOUT ANY STAIN THATS WHY I MARRIED FROM THERE. THE ASHANTES ARE MOSTLY WHORESS, DRUG DEALERSS, DOG CHAIN SELLERS, LATRINE BOYS AND PIMPS, THE AIYEGBES ARE MOSTLY JUJU PEOPLE WE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. MEPACHO, FANTE ETWE YE DE PAAAAAAAAA.

AS FOR YOUR EMPTY THREAT, ITS ALL TALK TALK AND NO ACTION. I HAVE BEEN HEARING THAT SHIIT SINCE 5 YEARS INSTEAD ITS NIGERIA THAT HAS BEEN DEPORTING GOOD NUMBER OF SILLY ASSS GHANAIANS. LAST YEAR MANY OF YOU WERE ROUNDED UP AND DEPORTED, LAST MONTH GOOD NUMBER WERE AGAIN ROUNDED UP AND DEPORTED FROM SOUTH WEST NIGERIA, SO WHEN ARE YOU GONNA RETALIATE? I AM SORRY BUT YOUR CURRENT PRESIDENT CANT DO SHIIT, WHY BC HE CANT HONESTLY BITE THE FINGER THAT FED HIM, TB JOSHUA MADE HIM THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA AND HE STILL WORSHIP @ THE SYNAGOGUE, LAGOS BC THERE IS NO GOD IN GHANA. ALSO, YOUR OPPOSITION PARTY SAID GOVERNOR AMECHI GAVE HIM 50 MILLION DOLLARS TO WIN ELECTION. BEFORE THIS CLOWN CAME TO POWER I HEARD GOOD NUMBER OF GHANAIANS SAYING NIGERIANS WILL BE DEPORTED AND MUST NEED VISA TO ENTER GHANA HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA. ITS ALREADY TWO YEARS AND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED?

HAS IT EVER OCCURRED TO YOU THAT ANY DAY NIGERIANS DECIDES TO LEAVE GHANA YOUR ECONOMY WILL CRUMBLE? REMEMBER WHEN WE DEPORTED YOUR PROSTITUTESSS AND CRIMINALS FROM NIGERIA WE LOADED HUNDREDS OF YOU IN OPEN LORRIES AND MADE A CHEAP BAG FOR YOU CALLED GHANA MUST GO. IN THIS CASE, NIGERIANS WILL RETURN TO NIGERIA WITH NIGERIAN PLANES, PRIVATE JETS, HUMMER JEEPS, BANKS, FACTORIES, FAST FOOD CHAINS, IT COMPANIES, TELECOM COMPANIES, OIL COMPANIES, FIVE STAR HOTELS AND THE LIST IS ENDLESS.
OHH I FORGOT TO ADD, ALL INTERNATIONAL CALLS FROM GHANA ARE ROUTED THROUGH LAGOS, ONCE WE RETURN ALL NIGERIANS INVESTMENTS BACK TO NIGERIA YOU CANT MAKE INTERNATIONAL CALLS AGAIN IN GHANA UNLESS YOU FIND AN ALTERNATIVE.

I concur. CIV and Ghana are Africa's best at the moment. Cameroun is in transition. We saw this at the last world cup. South Africa have a fantastic side. They were just unlucky not to qualify.

NIGERIA? LIVING IN PURE DENIAL. Our football is in the doldrums. Funny enough, if we put in the same concerted effort that has been put into our local league that has seen at least a team always reaching the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup for the last 8 years running, we will see the national team pick up.

But the Super Eagles is a cash cow for too many people so I do not see us going anywhere.

Ironi:
Ricky_Ross, you are an ignorant fool who seem to enjoy writing nonsense.

You talk as if Nigeria is a developed country. Nigeria is a poor shiit hole like any poor African country. In fact, Nigeria is one of the worse countries in Africa. You have over 70% of your people living in poverty. Do the math and come again. That is about 3x the population of the whole Ghana. Nigeria has 10x any problem Ghanaians have. So if I were you I'll shut my arrogant loud mouth and crawl back under the stone you came from. If Ghana has schools under trees, your problems are so overwhelming you have lost track or given up any hope of solving them, so you even can't organize schools under trees for your teeming population.

Use common sense, you people don't even know the actual population of your country but with the size of your population do you have any idea the number  of Nigerian kids who have even been forgotten?

When a poor third world country has population like ants and pests how can you possibly keep track of anything.

Oh you want to talk about prostitution? come to an area here in Europe and see how Nigerians are selling themselves? They are being fcked by dogs for $1. Yes, there are Ghanaian prosttitues too, but like I said, You meet 1 Ghanaian prosttitue you meet 10 Nigerian prostitues.

I know Nigeria, Lagos, very well where wrapped shiit is thrown from one house to the other so stop talking as if Nigeria is a developed country. Btw if you want to insult tribes, are igbos not the people who eat human fresh in Nigeria? Yes, we know all that, arrogant fool.  undecided undecided undecided undecided
Oh shiit you live in Europe and still believe Nigerians eat human beings? My wife is Ghanaian, I brought her to read your post and she was just laughing, you know what, she said you are just TIMID and plain STUUPID, I am an Igbo man, my wife is Ghanaian, shes been in and out of Nigeria since 4years now and her "human fresh" is yet to be eaten by Nigerians hahahahaha.

Its on record Ghanian women are the cheapest black biitches on earth. In Accra for instance, we dont pay to phuck Ghana girls, just buy her a plate of kenke and promise to take her to Nigeria and she will open her puccy for you. This year alone Lagos state government has deported dozens of Ghanaian prostitutes and strip dancers from Lagos.

In my Opinion the OSU caste system in Igbo land MUST be ABOLISHED. I hate the way we treat our own brothers and sisters in the name of old faceless tradition. As someone who is widely traveled, I will be offended for a white person to call me black monkey, in the same vein, its totally wrong to label anyone or group of persons as OUTCASTShuh

Mind you, I am a freeborn from a royal family, but during village meetings and stuffs the way our people treat these so called Osu is totally unacceptable.

I have asked some of my uncles the meaning of Osu, each person has a different version of the story to give which is very very confusing. WE DON'T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO CALL ANYONE OSU, THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY SHOULD STAND UP AND ABOLISH THIS SHIIT,

This statement by the politician and comments from some dumb arzz nairalanders defending the man just goes to explain why Nigerian politicians have been Desecrating Nigeria and it's people for so long aka. "The 1 party rules nation". I mean seriously  shocked A man makes such nonsensical statement without stats/facts to back 'em up and most of y'all go joy-jumping. Sad one @ that, btw, alhaji haram! Really! remember the Nigerian couple who were featured in a South African commercial making reference to S.A. as being the giant of Africa on CNN ; do u remember how enraged nairalanders were with their posts? and this was just a tv commercial ; let a South African minister make a statement abt johannisburgh having better and more roads than the whole of Nigeria and tell me u and your people will sit your arzz's down and not alter a word.

Rickyross or whatever u call urself, if u are so bitter abt Ghana, why don't u move your business to ivory coast or better yet back to your homeland Nigeria huh! U know u'r enjoying electricity 24/7 thus, it's hard to leaving the place. Dude talks as if he ain't enjoying his stay in Ghana, I know Nigerians don like Ghanaians so I don even have it in Ma plans of ever visiting that country, so take a leaf from me and leave Ghana! the country u claim hates Nigerians so much yet more and more Nigerians keep moving in, now we even have Camerounians and Ivorians trooping in as well, whom are we lying to huh!

Advice for your politicians, they should stick to their looting tradition and stop making delusional comparisons. A country tht boasts of oil and all tht crap and y'all can't even enjoy 5hrs of electricity, I mean how is this possible in 2011. I remember hearing generator sounds in most of your movies and I keep asking myself, how do they cope?

There are some good and real Nigerians out there tho, all is not lost.
Ashanti man with small dick i pity u really, I do not live in Ghana and have not even been to Ghana since this year. Do not worry about me moving my business bc I have done that long ago, what I have left in Ghana is for my wife and her family. I have said this many times but let me say it again for the last time, before i even thought of expanding to another country I already have flourishing businesses in PHC, Lagos, Abuja and Owerri. At some point i said to myself its time to expand and explore the opportunities overseas. I am not just in Ghana, I have presence in several other countries so when you see me in Ghana as a Nigerian dont think I am in Ghana bc its better or bc I have closed down operations in Nigeria. EXPANSION is an evidence of growth. You people are low minded and shameless. Everything in Ghana is owned by Nigerians and foreigners especially the biggest Restaurants, 5 star hotels, ALL banks in Ghana, ALL airlines in Ghana, ALL cinemas, construction companies, ALL oil companies, ALL telecom companies and even supermarkets. Its a shame, and you guys are not even bothered to compete in your own country, all you do is hate on Nigerians and foreignershuh The world knows the only business Ghanaians knows how to do best is PROSTITUTION and DRUG Dealing. Not long ago your Ghana brother Kweku broke world record with his UBS fraud.

There is no steady power supply in Ghana, the light goes on and off every few hours. I was in my village last month and enjoyed 24/7 steady electricity for 7 good days which is not possible in Ghana at least I have been in and out of Ghana for close to 7 years now and have been to all regions of Ghana. Before I ever visited Ghana I was told Ghana has steady power supply and have enjoyed 10 years uninterrupted power supply wow? But the same day i arrived Ghana there was total BLACKOUT in the entire city of Accra that lasted two whole days? I thought it was a joke but this is a daily occurrence in Ghana. Ghana DOES NOT have steady power supply just like in Nigeria. Light goes on and off daily in Ghana just like in Nigeria.

CORRUPTION: Wow my dear dont go there. Ghanaians are as corrupt as Nigerians or even worst. Your politicians are the same as Nigerian politicians, otherwise Ghana is supposed to be a world class country by now. Ivory Coast has only cocoa and is about the size of Ghana in population, but Ivory Coast is a far more developed country and better than Ghana in everything even with the war there.

Why is Ghana still a third world country with all your massive resources and SMALL POPULATIONhuh Simply because there is massive corruption in every area of Ghanas economy.

Seven million Ghanaians very poor: http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=220999&comment=0#com

Ghanaian politicians killed Ghana Airways just like Nigerian politicians killed Nigerian airways. Ghana politicians killed Ghana Telecom which they later sold to Vodafone and we know everything that happened behind the scenes.

A reserve of about 600 million barrels of oil was discovered in Ghana in 2007. Commercial operations started late last year with a daily production of 260, 000 barrels. This is not all. Ghana is the second largest producer of cocoa in the world, producing over 20% of the world’s cocoa beans. The western African country is also the second largest producer of gold (its former name was Gold Coast) and has huge deposits of industrial diamonds and bauxite (aluminum).

Sadly, Ghana, after 53 years of independence, still has about 4,000 basic schools organized under trees, 5,000 in dilapidated structures, and 7,500 without sanitary facilities. SOURCE:  http://ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=194534

Where is the source  for  the  "numbers "  he cited? Is he making unsubstantiated claims? Are Surulere/Aguda area roads - where he grew up not part of this " Dubai of Africa" transformation? By the way, Ghana has better road network than Naija in terms of quality and maintenance . Did he ever think like that?
Na lie, very BIG lie brother. Most roads in Accra are in very bad condition with massive pot holes that causes hours of traffic jams daily, CAN YOU SAY THE SAME ABOUT OUR FEDERAL CAPITAL ABUJAhuh

I would love Nigerians to say what they know instead of siting in their house and talking rubbish. This is the problem with Nigerians, you stay in Nigeria and say what is happening in Somalia without even setting your foot in the country. Sadly you are not alone, before I ever visited Ghana I was told Ghana has steady power supply and have enjoyed 10 years uninterrupted power supply wow?Huh But the same day i arrived Ghana that was total BLACKOUT in the entire city of Accra that lasted two whole days? I thought it was a joke but this is a daily occurrence in Ghana. Ghana DOES NOT have steady power supply just like in Nigeria. Light goes on and off daily in Ghana just like in Nigeria. Ghana does not have good road network, Ivory Coast has the best road network in west Africa followed by Nigeria, Check all available data online. Even with the war in Ivory Coast, that country is still miles ahead of Ghana in development and everything. Abidjan looks like Paris, very well developed with sku scrappers everywhere, as we speak there is no single 7 story building in the entire Ghana, Pls people should stop talking about Ghana bc they are still infants

WELL I STILL BELIEVE IN THIS COUNTRY AND I BELIEVE GEJ CAN DELIVER,
WITH WHAT AM SEEING IN THE POWER SECTOR TODAY I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT GEJ CAN FIX IT, I WAS IN MY VILLAGE LAST MONTH, LOW AND BEHOLD I ENJOYED UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY FOR 7 GOOD DAYS, WHILE IN ENUGU THE STORY IS THE SAME, IN THE AREA I VISITED THEY ENJOY AT LEAST 18 HOURS OF ELECTRICITY DAILY. FROM PEOPLE THAT I HAVE SPOKEN TO IN LAGOS, ABUJA, BENIN ETC THEY HAVE CONFIRMED THERE IS IMPROVEMENT IN ELECTRICITY IN THEIR AREA,

I BELIEVE BATH NNAJI IS ABOUT DOING WHAT SOLUDO DID TO THE BANKING SECTOR. KUDOS TO BOTH GEJ AND NNAJI

PoliticsRe: Lagos Has Built More Roads Than Ghana & Sierra Leone - Fashola by RickyRoss1(m): 6:57pm On Oct 08, 2011
Fashola has done quit well in the area of road construction. Fashola is one of the best governors in Nigeria but I believe he is over hyped.

For those asking how many kilometers of roads he has done, check this out,
Governor Fashola added that in the last three years, 251 new roads comprising 371 kilometres have been completed within Lagos.

He explained that currently another 44 roads that will provide 77 kilometres of new roads are under construction and would be concluded within the next six months.

Governor Fashola also said in addition to this, another 60 new roads that would add 129 kilometres are under construction and would be completed beyond the six months timeline.

Most roads in Ghana are in very bad shape, the traffic situation in Accra these days is a nightmare. One of the most important road network in Accra, the one than crosses Mile 7 has been under construction for over 5 years now with less than 40% of the job done, In terms of Infrastructural developed Lagos is far ahead of both Ghana and SL combined.

@op, seems u got a beaf for Ghanaians! Truth is, they live better than majority of Nigerians. sad
You are very wrong, I got no beaf with nobody, I have interest in Ghana because my wife is from there and my first son was born there and I have businesses there. Like now that I am away from Ghana i try to keep up with events in Ghana by visiting Ghanaweb which happens to be the best and most popular website in Ghana. But I am sad that any time i log into Ghanaweb to read news I keep seeing lots of news about rape and stuffs like that and no one reports it here, if these were Ghana becoming the best country in the world it will make headline here on NL. Just go to www.ghanaweb.com and check it out on daily basis, out of every 10 news, 3 is about RAPE? These people are they animals or whathuh

I posted this corruption news yday because if it were good news it will make headlines here on NL. You claiming Ghanaians live better than Nigerians is sad and unfortunate. This is the problem with Nigerians, you stay in Nigeria and say what is happening in Somalia without even setting your foot in the country. You said Ghanaians live better than Nigerians without any explanation? Is it economically or what? Just yday the same Ghana government said 9 million Ghanaians live in abject poverty without any basic amenities? I posted that news here on Nairaland as well so tell me in simple terms how these people live better than Nigerians when thousands of schools are organized under trees in Ghana?

The next thing you will tell me is that Nigerians are running to Ghana that shows Ghana is better, but that's just lame. Nigerians are traveling to every country on this planet including Iraq, Pakistan etc. We go anywhere we find opportunities. Over 80% of Nigerians in Ghana either have their own businesses or are working for Nigerian companies there. Take me for instance, before i even thought of expanding to another country I already have flourishing businesses in PHC, Lagos, Abuja and Owerri.
