Walahi you are saying exactly what he's saying. You had stronger positions to pick the best option for yourself. Not many have that.

No sir.

He is saying I was desperate and took whatever was thrown my way and ran blindly not caring what was on the paper, because I wanted to escape to UK.

Just free the topic...

I no go give my own opinion for this kind matter again.

1. Uk police criminal records clearance = DBS. Your company can help you do it

2. I got my naija PCC within three days. Everything is now done online. The cost is 30k naira

Thanks @ the naija PCC.

Is DBS same as UK PCC? I ask because I think they differ based on usage. DBS is internal but a PCC is for emigration.

The licensing body is specifically requesting for a Police criminal records certificate.

What do you think sir?

Good evening everyone!

1) Please has anyone recently applied for a UK police criminal records clearance certificate ?

2) how long does it take on the average for Same to be issued from Nigeria since one is in the UK here?

3) Does anyone have any recent ielts academics brush up materials...my head dey rusty for now.

You should have mentioned that if you have offers to choose from, you won't pick the one with 5 years. But you sounded like the OP made a wrong decision.

I put it to you, you didn't turn down offers before you came, you are turning down offers because you are here already. You jumped at the first offer you got while still in Nigeria.

Let us not use our privileged positions to judge others.

Now this is where you are wrong when you try to assert my circumstance. You do not know me, you never did interviews with me. You can not say what I did or didn't do.

If it is too hard to understand that I am being objective when I say I can not jump on a closed contract tying me down to a compulsory 5 years, then let it be.

Dear sir,

I had more than 5 jobs lined up while I was in Nigeria and I was far from desperate. I needn't tell you more...it's not necessary.

Once again...I am in a licensed profession and NHS needs me to function effectively. I walked into UK like a freshly crowned Prince.

Cheers!!

Are you alright? Did you carefully read the post well, or you aren't just dull?

Where's the immorality in the post you're quoting?

You know comprehension is a big problem and when people can not ask questions to understand what has been said, they resort to insults.

Very Terrible!!!

I made a comment to support your statement and you are fighting me?

Immorality corrodes mentality, maybe this easier to understand. It simply means that porn makes one reason like an animal.

What wrong have I done to be called dull?

I won't condescend to insulting people for what a simple request for an explanation would have solved.

Good evening sir

So if you are in Nigeria, a company gives you job offer with visa sponsorship for 5 years and a breakout clause, you will say no you want 2 years visa sponsorship or remain in Nigeria and continue to apply for job?

For me, if they give me 2 years, I will ask if they can make it 5.

The truth is I'm actually in a licensed profession and better offers always come around daily. I have gotten way higher paying jobs since I came. I can't tie myself to a 5 year contract.

Pornography is like an hard drug. It begins, first, as a way of temporal release... Then it gets beyond that and becomes a stronghold. It can get so deep that people addicted to it don't want to admit it's the problem.

But the moment you realize it's a problem and you're willing and ready to get rid of it, you're a step closer getting rid of it...

Emptiness!!!

That's the word.

Your soul, spirit and energy is drained.

Immorality is corrosive.

But.... .. you for no sign that kind contract o. 2 years is the max I can do and that's because they offered relocation package from Nigeria and would pay for my trainings and co.

You gats pay o but he can't force you to work for 5 years. That one na rubbish talk. So request for the financials involved with accurate reciepts.

You may want to renegotiate salary if Oga is just throwing tantrums because he will miss you.

I didn't put the clause in that contract, he did.

So whether he likes it or not, he would have to give me the cost of ending the contract since I am no longer interested in the sponsorship as stated in the contract.

I believe he is just stalling.

And again, getting my reference sorted out with prospective employer doesn't even mean I have moved to the company as I have not given my leave notice yet.

Ancient abeg answer this reference question jare. Wait! abi you be my oga ni, wey come dey disguise for nairaland.

I would say yes because only emergency breaking would have stopped me before the line. Normal breaking would have stopped me after the line in the middle of the raod.

I also judged that emergency breaking would put the vehicle behind me at risk.

Why people cannot just buy Palm oil, sold in the UK ..... Is a reasoning, I fail to understand....... Is it due to cost ......

Or even cargo foodstuff the proper way. I admit that a lot of rubbish is on the shelves, but you can still cargo your own food. Once in 4 months a bulk package lands.
