If there is anything i love its weave and more weave . . .uhmmm . . . not what you're thinking . . .my hair is naturally veryyyyy loooong(I'm bi-racial) . . .but i just love trying different hair styles with weave. I have different weaves every week because of my job . . .Just can't stand wearing the same weave or braids for weeks . . .

How long do you keep your weave/braids/cornrows . . .?
Funny statement. grin Being biracial does not guarantee long healthy hair. Just saying wink

@Topic I keep braids in for a short period. Like 2 weeks maximum. They get boring pretty quickly. Weaves I keep in for 6-8 weeks.
RomanceRe: Please Write An Open Letter To Your Ex by Riskie(f): 5:38pm On Apr 18, 2009
Dear X,

I'm glad I rejected your proposal because you are a petty jerk. I hope you have a nice life with your new wife, who you barely even know. Please stop sending your friends to me with pictures of your wedding or updates on what's new in your life. I do NOt and will not ever care.
Music/RadioRe: Mr Olu Maintain's New Single : Arab Money by Riskie(f): 7:29am On Apr 18, 2009
This is embarrassing to say the least. The song is utterly retarded, even moreso than Busta Rhymes' version. undecided
CelebritiesIkechukwu Loses Girlfriend To Friend by Riskie(op): 6:38pm On Apr 17, 2009
This crooner has allegedly lost his girlfriend Niki Bakare to his friend Chini Odogwu and he is so angry and telling it all on facebook. On Monday April 6th 2009, his facebook status said "Kills is single. Women cheat and with your friend too? Of all the women out there, aint life grand?"

The same day he changed his status to "Yeah, personal life off facebook in one week, from then, they can deal with the PA. But best way to move forward is airing shit out. Putting people on blast New York Style. With that said, I hope Chini and Niki have a great life together. Or was it abi? Oh no he was a month ago or so. Men and women are equally animals when they choose to be. Life is all about choices, that's all I'll say"

It was wrong of the girl and the friend but him putting that stuff on Facebook is lame. undecided

I would never get a bikini wax. I heard a girl did it and the waxer removed some of her skin . . . ouch! I know that it gives a smooth effect but it seems horrifying what could happen if it is done wrong. undecided

@ OP anything you do now would be a total waste. Your mom already knows you're active and you like to send texts to men discribing their bananas. grin Just leave the goon alone. He will get his own and it may even be worse than what happened to you.

LOl! See foolish nairalanders wanting all the details. Nosy bunch.  grin
CultureRe: What Do You Hate About Your Culture? by Riskie(f): 4:16pm On Apr 07, 2009
I don't like the culture of going to babalowo tongue Instead of people to use their money for something sensible they go and pay one deceitful old goat to prepare chicken blood and lion tail concoctions to kill Iya Sule or make Baba Nuru infertile. Meanwhile they don't pay their children's school fees and other things that are so much more important. undecided
RomanceRe: Boyfriend Or Sister? by Riskie(f): 9:03am On Apr 07, 2009
As long as you did not choose your sister's husband for her she has no right to choose who you date. You should tell her this. Maybe there are things you don't like about her husband, but I'm sure you don't make a fuss out of it. In the end your sister will not be the one to live with your guy, so it's honestly none of her business. All your family can do is give you advice. They have no right to impose anything on you. Your bf seems to be handling the situation in a mature manner and he should continue to do so. Maybe your sister will come around eventually when she sees that he is kind and patient. If not, then oh well, it is not her life.  wink

Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Bows And Kisses The Hand Of Saudi King At G20 Summit by Riskie(f): 8:19pm On Apr 03, 2009
Would I say that them bowing down to the Queen is ridiculous? Yes absolutely. A handshake is enough I don't believe any human being should bow down to another. As far as I am concerned we are all equal. Just because someone bears some stupid archaic title does not make them any better than the "average" person.  undecided
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Bows And Kisses The Hand Of Saudi King At G20 Summit by Riskie(f): 7:55pm On Apr 03, 2009
davidylan:
A black man shows some respect and everyone is already crying in discomfort?

This is no different from the way he would have bowed to the pope . . . The King of Saudi Arabia is not just a head of state, he is similar to the pope as the head of over 1 billion Muslims . . . if Obama had snubbed the king we'd have these pages filled with frothing Muslims crying blue murder.
The Saudi King is in no way similar to the Pope. There are no infallible figures in Islam. Further more there is no living person who is the sole figurehead for Muslims. He is simply the ruler of Saudi Arabia and only Saudi Arabia.  A handshake would have sufficed, that's all people are saying. No need for religious tug of war.
FamilyRe: What Do Step Children Call Their Step-Dads? by Riskie(f): 7:36pm On Apr 03, 2009
I hear some people call their stepdads Uncle (insert name) lol. I called my stepdad 'sir' because he wanted me to call him Dad and I wasn't having that, as I was in contact with my real dad. But since your kids are not Nigerian I would assume that them calling your husband by his first name is ok. My uncle's stepson who is AA always calls him by his first name and he has no problem with it. But I guess it would also depend on your husband. Maybe he might get offended by that because it is generally not done in Nigerian culture.

Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Bows And Kisses The Hand Of Saudi King At G20 Summit by Riskie(f): 7:14pm On Apr 03, 2009
In 2005 the Saudi king banned people from kissing his hand as it is degrading and against Islam anyway. Everyone's laughing at the guy. He really looked like a fool doing that, I'm sorry to say. undecided

I thought that presidents and other politicians were briefed on the do's and dont's and cultural norms before taking trips abroad. I guess they forgot to tell him that part. Or maybe the guy just likes to kiss a$s.
