Dermatologists are not always the answer. I had a bout with acne a while back and went to see one. I wasted so much money and the things she prescribed only made it worse. I did some research and found things that actually work. First I suggest u use a cleanser or bar soap that contains salicylic acid, as well as and alcohol and oil free toner and an oil free moisturizer. People with acne tend to skip moisturizers thinking that they will make the skin worse. But even acne prone oily skin needs moisturizer. Without one ur skin will think it lacks oils and will go into overdrive causing excess oil and thus acne. Wash ur face twice a day and drink plenty water and have fresh fruits and vegetables as part of ur daily diet. If u are black, I suggest u avoid products with benzyl peroxide such as Proactive as they can make the situation worse. Also during the time u are using salicylic acid products I would advise u not to use exfoliators. If u must use one, do choose one that is very mild and does not contain large exfoliating beads that can irritate and pop pimples thereby speading th germs and pus in them. I hope this helps. |

If you are looking for afforable please ignore the above post and do not visit the malls! Go to the Gold Souk in Deira. The surrounding shops have everything from clothes and shoes to electronics. The malls have better quality things but if you are on a budget go to the Souk. HTH! ![]() |

Went to Ghana in July. Spent a whole month. My honest opinion is simply that it sucks. It's overrated to say the least and the people are terribly unkind and prejudice. The only good thing about Ghana is that the light was more constant than in Nigeria. They did take the light a few times when I was there. I stayed in Accra, which is meant to be the best place there Even the mall was not impressive and the surroundings were depressing. The weather did not help with this. Overall I was disappointed that after all the hype Ghana was so blah. lol I don't know how else to explain it. ![]() |

In Islam the woman is supposed to cover her hair because it is seen as a beautiful thing that attracts men. I always wondered though if a Muslim woman is completely bald is she still required to wear hijab? Another thing is that hair does not necessarily make one attactive. Some women are gorgeous even without any hair. I have also seen some women who wear hijab and are so beautiful and then they remove it and they are ugly Just wondering ![]() |
If Muslim countries have the right to tell foreigners/immigrants not to wear skirts above a certain length and women not to wear sleeveless shirts among other things or face arrest and fines, then France has the right to ban the burqa. If you don't like a country's rules you don't have to live there! What I hate about some Muslims is the way they think they somehow have the right to impose their ways on others but do not want others to do the same. That is hypocrisy! Isn't that "unislamic"? |

CAIRO (AP) — A 25-year-old Egyptian man cut off his own penis to spite his family after he was refused permission to marry a girl from a lower-class family, police reported Sunday. After unsuccessfully petitioning his father for two years to marry the girl, the man heated up a knife and sliced off his reproductive organ, a police official said. The young man came from a prominent family in the southern Egyptian province of Qena, one of Egypt's poorest and most conservative areas that is also home to the famed ancient Egyptian ruins of Luxor. The man was rushed to the hospital, but doctors were unable to reattach the severed member, the official added, citing the police report filed after the incident. The official, who spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak with the press, added that the man was still recovering in the hospital. Traditionally, marriages in these conservative parts of southern Egypt are between similar social classes and often within the same extended families — and are rarely for love. *I laughed so hard when I read this. He took the idea of cutting off the nose to spite the face too literally. But I think he proved to the girl how much he really loved her How many guys here would do that to show their love? What is the most extreme thing you would do to show someone you love them?* |
GT is He sounds like a prepubescent boy being choked when he sings. His lyrics are AWFUL to say the least. Maybe he's good at playing the guitar but that's it . He should never ever sing again |
