Ashley Young already plays for England regularly, but he may never play for England again after moving to the biggest club in the country? Nateevs must have banged his head somewhere. If anything he's going to play more regularly now.

120k p/w? That can't be true.

Of course, Rooney would have more personal awards, he has been playing top flight football for God knows how long. . . Pedro only just broke into Barca's first team two seasons ago.
Aren't you the one that said Pedro has achieved more than Rooney? Now you are chatting bollocks about Pedro breaking into the first team just two seasons ago like you didn't know that before you made your absurd claim.

Pedro had a better strike rate and made 10 assists.
Rooney had 11 assists in the league alone. In his worst season he still had a better goal+assist ratio than Pedro, end of.

2 starts in 13 games(Euro + world cup). 0 start at the world cup.
It's not just how long you spend on the field, it's what you do that counts. 4 assists and a goal + a game-winning penalty for Cesc. What does Pedro have to show for his efforts?

Pique and Busquets played every minute of Spain's world cup win. Spain's defence is a major reason why they won the world cup. They had the best defensive record at the world cup, conceding just two goals.
Wrong, Busquets did not play every minute at the World Cup. Even a monkey should know the main reason Spain/Barca concede few goals is because they average like 70+% possession, not because their defenders are any better than their peers. All things being equal, Xavi should take as much if not more credit for a Spain/Barca clean-sheet than Pique.

Nonsense! Spain continued with 4-4-2 after VDB was appointed coach. They played 4-4-2 at the confed.cup with Alonso, Xavi, Cesc and Riera. The switch to 4-2-3-1 was majorly because of Busquets emergence. Busquets and Alonso are two of Spain's best midfielders and they both had to start.
My friend, you are chatting military-grade bunkum. Why did they both have to start? Is it not the same Alonso that was behind Cesc in the pecking order at Euro 2008 and started only one dead-rubber game? By June 2010 the gulf in class between Alonso and Cesc had grown even wider after Cesc's phenomenal 09/10 season. They both started because Del Bosque wanted two deep lying players in midfield, and Busquets and Alono are Spain's best players IN THAT POSITION, simple. You have absolutely no evidence to support your claim and you are telling me crap about Spain playing 4-2-3-1 because of Busquets like you were part of the coaching crew.

Xavi is not benching Cesc. They can play together. They played together at the confed. cup. They can play a 4-4-2 diamond with Alonso/Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta and Cesc at the apex. They can play a 4-5-1. . . Cesc is not good enough to start, period!
Xavi is the one playing Cesc's position so as far as we can tell he is the one benching Cesc. It is not a matter of them being able to play together or not, it's about how Del Bosque wants Spain to play(conservatively). Holland also adopted a similar conservative approach at the World Cup with Busquets & Alonso emulated by De Jong & Van Bommel. That doesn't mean both of them are better players than Van der Vaart who was on the bench, it's just the system the manager wants.

Only a mad man would tell me Busquets or Alonso are better footballers than Cesc Fabregas.

I hear Sanchez is joining Barca. This is good news because A. It means City & United didn't get him. B. That surely means Barca won't be signing Cesc this summer cos i don't see how Mascherano, Sanchez, Cesc and Pedro would be competing for one single slot in the team, not to mention Afellay.

Nasri still never sign? The guy don dey piss me sef. Can't we exchange him with Frank Ribery at Bayern? Nas is younger and still has a lotta years to play and so should be good enough exchange value for the brilliant Ribery

Achievements:
Pedro is a world cup winner. He has won everything there's to be won in football. Only thing missing is a Euro championship. Rooney?
Pedro is the only player to have scored in 6 different competitions.
In terms of  team achievement Rooney has more league and domestic cup titles, Pedro has the world cup. Since we are comparing players and not clubs, individual honors should clearly take precedence and this is where Rooney completely blows Pedro out of the water. From Wikipedia:

I can't even find any tangible individual honor for Pedro anywhere. . . They are not mates.

Stats:
2010/11
Pedro: 54 apps 22 goals
Rooney 40 apps 16 goals

Pedro had a better strike rate last season and that's despite playing on the wings and not scoring any penalty. . . Pedro even has more assists.
2010/11 was Rooney's worst season of his career and he still had a better goal+assist ratio than Pedro. Rooney played deeper than Pedro last season so your claim of Pedro playing wide holds no water. Telling us Pedro has more assists is a big fat smelly lie and you should be ashamed of yourself.

If we look at other season's besides 2010/11, the gap grows exponentially wider.

He said Cesc is a more of a reason why Spain are European and world champions than Pique and Busquets. . . How? By having his Bottom on the bench?
Cesc had a goal and about 3 assists(he also scored the winning penalty in the shootout vs Italy) for Spain @ Euro 2008, he played at least 20-30mins in  all the games and started 2 of them(including the final). Pedro, Busquets, Pique didn't kick a ball, in fact they weren't even in the squad.

At the world cup he saw less playing time but was still instrumental whenever he came on, and assisted Iniesta's winner in the final. That's 4 assists and a goal + a decisive penalty for Cesc to 0 goals and 0 assists for Pedro(an attacking player) + whatever Busquets/Pique offered in the final third.

Anyone with half a brain should be able to deduce who played a bigger role in Spain winning BOTH titles.

Cesc only started one game in Spain's Euro 2008 triumph
Another embarrassing lie, you're getting really good at this.

If Cesc were Spain's "greatest talent" since Rooney, he'd be playing more than a bit part role for country.
Myopic logic. When did Xavi(the player keeping him out) emerge?

Spain played a 4-4-2 formation at Euro 08 but because of the emergence of Busquets, they played 4-2-3-1 at the world cup. . . If Cesc were so important, the manager would have at least found a way to accomodate him in the starting line up.
Yet more daft reasoning. Spain changed their system at the world cup because of Busquets or because they had a different manager with different ideas? The fact Alonso was on the bench at the Euros and started at the world cup proves you don't have a clue.

Spain could have still played 4-4-2 at the world cup with Alonso on the bench and Busquets & Xavi in the middle / Torres & Villa upfront. Why did they have to change their system to accommodate Busquests? Oh i forgot, you don't have a the faintest idea!

Rooney's breakout was Euro 04, right? Only Casillas, Puyol, Xavi, Marchena, Alonso and Torres, were in Spain's Euro 04 squad and also in the Euro 08 and world cup winning squad. The rest made their way into the team after Euro 04. . . Spain more or less assembled a Euro and world cup winning squad after Euro 04 and its "greatest talent" since Euro 04 sits on the bench, how's that?
It simply means he is not as good as the player that emerged before him(Xavi). Do you expect them to play their "greatest talent since Rooney" just for the sake of it? Blimey, maybe they should just make their starting XI a team of "greatest talents since Bleep"  GK: "greatest talent since Casillas" CB: "greatest talent since Hierro" etc. SMH

Cesc is very good but Spain's greatest talent since Rooney? Abeg. . .Even a fully fit Santi Cazorla plays a bigger role for Spain.
And you capped it all off with the most idiotic comment of the lot, bravo! cheesy

Busquets and Pique played every single minute of Spain's world cup win. Cesc?
This argument is supremely reetarded considering the fact Cesc doesn't play the same position as Pedro, Busquets or Pique. Like i said before, XAVI is the one benching Cesc. Maybe Capdevila is also better than Cesc because he started for Spain.

Busquets is great in his position . . . prolly one of the best. He is the MAN that starts off Barca's attack.
Barca wouldn't have sold Yaya Toure if not for the arrival of Busquets.
Just because he is a DM doesn't mean he isn't great. Its easier to judge Rooney because he's a striker and scores loads of goals.

Pedro only just emerged a few years ago but only a blind man would categorically say he wont be great in the next couple of years.
The young lad can hold his own on the big stage already.
Are we talking of potential or current ability?

coogar:
all of them are as good as rooney if not better. . . .
Busquets and Pique aren't forwards so i'll avoid comparison. But Pedro as good as Rooney? This is ludicrous even by your standards.

busquets: the best defensive midfielder in the whole of europe since 2009. his positional play is peerless. yes, he dives and his antics can be termed as unethical but no single player is better than him in the position he plays. single-handedly, he has destroyed rooney, ozil, sneijder, etc and many attacking midfielders he has played against since his debut season in 2009. busquets is what makes barcelona tick. without him, barcelona are nothing.
Busquets the best holding midfielder in Europe since 09? He can't even be the best in Spain when Alonso is alive.

pique: one of the best central defenders in europe. without having to scratch your head, he's better than any central defender to have played for arsenal since the days of tony adams and co. technically, if pique walks into the arsenal team, fabregas has to relinquish his captain's armband to him. his record speaks for himself - he has won about 3 champions league titles(2008, 2009, 2011), 3 la liga titles, 1 world cup and 1 european championship. he's a starter for his national team and he has not missed any big game whilst playing for the best team in the world.
Abegiiiii!!! Pique is a good defender but he's far from a "great talent" if we are using Rooney as a yardstick. Why must you bring Arsenal into everything? You need therapy.

pedro: the rookie wing forward that displaced thierry henry. one of the best dribblers in europe. he's at home with both feet, makes darting runs and exchange flanks with david villa. he also plays for the best team in the world and he featured regularly for spain. what has rooney got that pedro hasn't? which football club will not sign pedrito in england? he broke into the limelight barely two years ago and he has won a lot in that period. if you consider the fact there's even more room for improvement then it's scary to start to imagine what barcelona would look like in the next 5 years when these players peak!
What is special about displacing geriatric Henry? Pedro's only exceptional ability is his finishing, i don't know how drunk you must have been to classify him as one of the best dribblers in Europe. Again, Pedro is not in Rooney's class.

all these players are better than cesc fabregas - it's not coincidence that cesc cannot even get a start for spain. he is at the lower rung of the ladder in comparison to pique, pedro and busquets. i doubt spain will function properly without the trio bar pedrito whereas cesc is dispensable!
Bullshyte. . . Xavi is the one benching Cesc. Pound for pound, none of them even come close.

Spain dominated everyone and won the Euros in 2008 without Pedro, Busquets or Pique. I don't know where you got this crazy idea they "can't function" without them.

The only thing Walcott can do better than Lennon is shoot.

Lennon is better than Walcott and anyone who's played footie before knows that.

Lennon can actually dribble, while Walcott can only knock the ball past you and chase after it.

Lennon runs at full speed with the ball within 5 inches of his feet, whilst Walcott runs with the ball 1 metre in front of him. This alone IS THE MAIN REASON WHY ANY FOOTBALL PLAYER KNOWS LENNON IS BETTER!!!
I can also say the only thing Lennon does better than Wacott is ball control. I believe finishing is a more important skill to have especially when you have loads of pace to (somewhat) make up for lack of control. In fact Walcott has developed into one of the better finishers in the Premier League.

Walcott is also quicker. + the Lennon i know has been shoit for a while now, at least Theo had a good season.

Anyway, Lennon is a much better footballer. Walcott only started playing footie at age 11, hence his undeveloped footie skills. If he wasn't quick, he'd struggle to make the bench at Hackney Marshes!
If Theo weren't quick he could still get by on his finishing ability. . . If Lennon weren't quick he'd probably be flipping burgers cheesy

The 'black mass' (where you find the key) that follows you constantly. .I knocked over the gas-tanks. .fired (when the stuff was close to it) then flayed it in that chamber, if i remember correctly.

The part were the guy with the chainsaw chases you. .If you don't have a shotgun, you're toast grin cheesy and you need to shoot him like 3-4 times in the head. or if you have a handgun, just shoot the explosives (barrels) around you to buy u some time (as i couldn't kill him with it) angry sad

The wasp/bee part. .I had to play this particular scene like 3 times to defeat the wasp/bee. .set the landmines, wait for it to explode. .then attack! attack! and keep attacking. .oh and the truck part, you must trap it with it.

The part where you're being chased by zombies on bikes. .there's only little your machine gun can do(it overheats quickly) and your truck must not be damaged (easy for them zombies to do as they keep hurling explosives at you).

As if thats not enough punishment/torture. .a cyclops (or whatever it is) chases you and you need to use your surroundings/duck stones hurled at you. .shoot things that sprout from its body. Omo meeeehn, they made it a bit difficult but its a good game.

At the beginning of the season, we had the best team in the premiership. That they did not deliver on their potentials does not remove the fact that we had the best team. Be honest with yourself, on paper, in terms of quality of players, even with those who played on the days, did we have any business losing at home to those teams mentioned? Compared to other 'trophyless' seasons, asides the last season Flamini spent with us, this was the first time based on the teams presented by Chelsea and United (our only rivals IMO) at the start of the season, we truly had a chance to win the league!
I'm going to have to call you out here. . . At the start of Flamini's last season(07/08), Arsenal's squad was still streets behind United. They only looked top class by the end of the season because an unusual number of them stepped up their game big-time during the course of the season.

Almunia raised his game enough to displace Jens.

Clichy had a stormer of a season, he was easily the best left back in the league that year.

Sagna came in from Ligue 1 still relatively unknown but cartwheeled into the PFA team of the year.

Flamini took advantage of Gilberto's brief absence and cemented his place in the team.

Cesc was already a top player but he added the only thing that had been missing from his game previously: Goals. . . lots of them.

Hleb converted his flashes of brilliance displayed in previous seasons to consistency, he was superb.

Adebayor went from being one of the most ridiculed forwards in Europe to one of the most sought after.

ALL these players had by and far the best season of their careers at the time, and with the exception of Cesc probably the best season of their careers to date. They were all much more highly rated at the end of the season than at the start, when you claim they could match United, who had Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez etc.

Last season was the first in a while Arsenal's squad could actually go toe to toe with United's.

Arsenal/Valencia/the selling club are the ones doing the valuation that matters(the transfer fee/asking price), whether Barcelona value the player at 50kobo is irrelevant.

besides that, torres is easily in the top 5 centre forwards in europe. same cannot be said about cesc fabregas in the midfield.
The top 5 center-forwards can be of lower quality than the top 5 midfielders and vice versa. Can you name 5 midfielders better than Cesc without looking like a foool?

It was inevitable cos Highbury was bursting at its seams. As an Arsenal fan, I always disliked watching matches at Highbury cos you could use one camera to cover the whole pitch. For real. It IS peanuts compared to what those clubs have spent. It isn't peanuts compared to the rest of the league, which is why Arsenal have done better than the rest of the league. As you can see, money plays a massive role.

What of our player sales? Do you know how many time Wenger has returned funds to the board stating that he doesnt need reinforcements?
How did you get this information? Goal.com?

3. Thirdly, like I said, it is not the players. These crop of players can win something (domestic trophies most likely) but their mentality is so poor. Mourinho's aura alone makes the players believe they will die for him & the club.
Also like i said, i agree a "better coach" can get more from these players, but you cannot eat your cake and have it. Would a glory-hunter like Mourinho have been able to build the squad Wenger has under the circumstances?

Keep your faith in Wenger. I will patiently wait for him to leave so we can rebuild from scratch.
And if Wenger leaves today, can you give me a shortlist of managers you'd hire if you were in charge? I'm in need of some comic relief.

My faith is not in Wenger, it's in Arsenal F.C.

of course, you can say that because it was barcelona that valued torres at £50 million, right? arsenal fans can be fickle-minded.
Are Barcelona the ones that valued Villa at 40m or Valencia? OLODO!

I can still say if Barcelona valued Ibrahimovic at(what was it, £60m?), Cesc is definitely worth £50m.
