Nincompoops prefer to class Cashley as an expensive defender. I class him as a cheap heavyweight.
That must be why you waited 8 weeks to get him after his value has increased by .5m. . . Either you've been a nincompoop for the last 8 weeks or you only recently came to that conclusion! cheesy

I've also earmarked my three defenders as Cashley, Kolarov and Elmohamady, all of whom are defacto midfielders who cop attacking points.
Elmohamady has like one assist and zero goals all season! cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by ritchboy(m): 11:56pm On Oct 23, 2010
hehehe, Niggas should not question the the judgment of their intellectual superiors. . .

Which is a better pair to have on a team:

Cashley + Scholes, or Bosingwa + Nani?

Cashley + Bent, or Bosingwa + Tevez?

Cashley + Gilks, or Bosingwa + Cech?

Cashley + Foley, or Bosingwa + Alex?

Do the math!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by ritchboy(m): 11:24pm On Oct 23, 2010
Chei, I think say na only Mubz and Galacticos dey use maths play FPL cheesy

There is 2.5m difference between Ashley and Bose. If Ashley cops 3 pts more than Bose every week (like he did today), then the differential in a £100m team would be 3x(100/2.5)= 120pts.

So if every extra £1m I put toward Ashley cops me 1.2 points extra per week (or 120 points for £100m budget), then I dare say that Ashley puts my money to work a lot better.
Unless Chelsea are planning to loan Bose to Wolves, then it's impossible for Cashley to average 3 points more than Bose from now till the end of the season. . . Cashley would average 0.7 points per game more than Bose MAX! Whilst Cashley's current average of 2 points per game from bonuses and assists is impressive, it can best be described as a "purple patch" which wont last forever. . .

Let's not forget Bosingwa is also very capable at copping assists, bonuses and even goals. When you factor in the number of points the player you could afford to buy thanks to the 2.5m you saved off Cashley(i.e Nani for Scholes), then Bose absolutely blows Cashley out of the water in terms of value for money! Even as we speak, Elmohamady and Bramble have a higher value for money than Cashley. . . CASE CLOSED! grin grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by ritchboy(m): 9:44pm On Oct 23, 2010
Stop making it sound like Bosingwa has been available all this while. He only just got back to fitness. You making it look like u strike lucky with bosingwa who only just started for the first time this season today. Save us the lecture, doesnt make you look any smarter.  tongue
And most peeps have had ashley for a long while, he has performed so good, his value has risen + .3  ,  And he's got the highest points (defenders). . . So what ta heck is your point??
Shorrop! I was referring to the mugus like Ibime who just copped Cashley for 8m when Carlotti has already told us Bosingwa would start tongue cheesy

As for Bosingwa story, let him keep his place after Alex returns then Ill consider buying him.
Ivanovic has been a shadow of himself at right-back. . . Bosingwa will keep his place! cool cool
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by ritchboy(m): 8:54pm On Oct 23, 2010
I'm not saying Bosingwa is as good as Cole(even though he could easily be once he gets a run of games). . . but the extra 2.4m y'all woulda saved on gettin him instead could be used to strengthen the weaker areas of ur team. . . i.e, If you have 14.4m, it's much better to buy Bosingwa(5.6m) and Nani(8.8m) than Ashley(8m) and Scholes(6.4).

To cut the long story short, Bosingwa gives you much more value for ur money.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by ritchboy(m): 8:31pm On Oct 23, 2010
Nothing says clueless than your erstwhile comparison of Vela to Messi! You are responsible for two of the most moronic statements on NL this year you should be proud of yaself
I never COMPARED Vela to Messi. . I barely said he has the POTENTIAL to come close to Messi's level in the future. Stop trying to put your retarded words in my mouth.

Your castigation of Denilson for ruining our game during a match he wasnt even on the field is BY FAR the most moronic statement in Nairaland history.

It's quite clear to me Denilson & Diaby are in ur black book, no matter what they do(or dont do in the case of Denilson), you will still type the same myopic B.S you've been typing for ages. . .

If a player does not know when and when not to dribble it is also an indictment on his dribbling skills because half the time he would end up giving the ball to the opponent
You know, it is not mandatory to flaunt your divine retardation in public!

People(including you) always acuse Arsenal of over-elaborating and not shooting "when they're supposed to". . . using ur retarded logic, the likes of Arshavin and Nasri arent good finishers because they often dont do so at the right time? huh

Your IQ must be equivalent to the length of your dyck when expressed in kilometers!

Arsenal may arguably be the most skillful team in England but that does not mean that man for man we have the most skillful players!
How so? Is it the ball-boys that make Arsenal the most skillful team or the players that would be used in the man for man comparison? Name one team in England that are more skillful than Arsenal "man for man". . .

More 5 star piffle being spat by A-40.

If we compiled a list of top 25 dribblers in Europe Arsenal players would be conspicuously absent including Diaby
Only a mad man would have a list of the best 25 dribblers in Europe that wouldnt include any Arsenal player. . . But then again ur sanity is very much up for debate. . .

Good day at the office. . . it had to be considering the fact i made 5 transfers.

U don't know what ure saying. I don't know of any footballer that earns as much as Rooney as at today. 250k weekly?

Will Chelsea pay that kinda money? Its all about money man
That one na Goal.com rumour. . . Even City will think twice before giving Rooney 250k every week.

United cannot afford to pay any single player 250-per-week.

chamotex:
Ritchboy, is Diaby a better dribbler than Adam Johnson?

YES or NO please .  . .
YES

Some people think a player doing a gazillion step-overs automatically means he's a fantastic dribbler. . . Diaby doenst need step-overs to beat his man, he just does so without fuss. . .

If I mistake a player playing crap for Denilson that must explain his antecedents.
This just proves my point you are without a clue cheesy

Only a delinquent nucca would compare Wilshere's dribbling skills to Diaby's
Of course, only a super-delinquent nucca would compare Diaby's majestic dribbling to a learner like Wilshere. . . That is akin to comparing Walcott's pace with Hyypia.

like I explained earlier a good dribbler knows when and when not to dribble! This singular trait disqualifies Diaby!
More proof you have no idea what you are talking about. . . Knowing when or when not to dribble is a measure of his decision-making and not his actual ability to execute a dribble. if you cannot understand something so simple, then i'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but there's no cure for stupidity.

Its quite funny see. Cos I do remember them asking Chamahk when he came, who was considered the best dribbler at the club and he said Diaby. Doesn't make him the best player though. Just best dribbler.
It is unfortunate some folks here are not bright enough to grasp something so simple. For them, as long as the name on his shirt reads "DIABY", he can do no good. . .

If Diaby is considered the best dribbler at Arsenal by his team-mates, and Arsenal are clearly the most skillful team in the league(and the most skillful team in Europe with the exception of Barca), then is it so far-fetched to say Diaby is the best dribbler in the league, that we have a multitude of doofus' completely debunking the assertion? undecided

SMH!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by ritchboy(m): 8:56pm On Oct 22, 2010
Anyone who can't recognize Diaby's impeccable dribbling is a lost cause. . . A-40 even said Wilshere, of all people, can dribble better than Diaby, i laugh in php.
Nani is the ONLY player in the Premier League who can match, or come close to matching, Diaby's ability to get past his marker, FACT!

Unfortunately, some people just have a list of pre-determined players they love to have a go at, no matter what they do or how well they play and vice versa. Is it not the same A-40 that was cursing Denilson for "spoiling our game" during a match where Denilson wasnt even on the bench? undecided

I said it before and i'll repeat it a million times, asides Messi, i cant think of any other player who can go on a run and beat 3-4 defenders as easily or frequently as Abou Diaby does. Again, some people are so foolish they mistake this simple highlight of ONE of Diaby's skills for his OVERALL quality as a footballer, which i have already stated is very open to debate.

I can only show you the water but can't force you to drink it. . .
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by ritchboy(m): 8:22pm On Oct 21, 2010
Abeg, make una free Diaby jor. . . While his overall quality can be questioned at times(once every 3 games to be exact cheesy ), it is yaba-leftish-madness to question the boy's ability. He's probably the best dribbler in the whole league(only Nani can rival him in that regard).

The way he glides past defenders without even breaking sweat is a joy to behold. . . In the whole of Europe, Messi is the only player i can think of right now who does it better(and no, I'M NOT comparing Diaby to Messi, cos e be like say some people here no go primary school) cheesy

As long as he has the ability(and the physique to boot), and he's still just 24, then there's every chance he will go on to become a top, top player.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by ritchboy(m): 2:18pm On Oct 21, 2010
We'll see. . . .at the rate RVP is going he'll play at most 20 league games this season. I'm sure Wenger will find a way to use them best.
Wenger dropping Chamakh for an 85% fit Van Persie against Blackburn tells us all we need to know. . .

And if he cant even play Arshavin through the middle, i dont see him starting RVP and Chamakh.

Wenger has been avoiding playing two central forwards like a plague since Ade left, to my disgust! cheesy

The bros has certainly been worth whatever wages we ppay him, for the first time in a LONG while we actually look dangerous in the air, haven't seen an Arsenal player boss defenders in the air in ages, plus he's not bad on the ground as well.
I don't care if his goals are easy tap ins or glancing headers as long as he can deliver 20 plus goals a season and score against the big teams, i'm good. So far his goal returns have been good for a first timer
Well we're certainly not missing RVP as much as we did last season. . . Let's not forget Chamakh would still have to make way for RVP once he's fit since Wenger has taken a secret oath to never play 4-4-2 again.

In other news, JET bagged a brilliant hat-trick for the reserves against a West Ham side that had the likes of Faubert, Spector, Tomkins, Stanislas & McCarthy.

I think it's time Wenger starts playing this boy more often. . . He has a very rare combination of power and technique, both in abundance.

Hope he starts against Newcastle in the milk cup.

Chuks Aneke(another one to watch out for), also got on the score sheet.
