Bliss4Lyfe: The coincidence between Boko Haram and APC can no longer be ignore.

1)Within days of El Rufai(APC) accusing the COAS of boko haram sponsorship, Boko haram via australian negotiator comes out to accuse the COAS of sponsorship. This same COAS the Northern elders begged to go easy on Boko Haram? undecided

2)Why did Boko Haram never come out to deny or claim responsibility for the attack on Gen Buhari? Could it be it was all a stunt to fool the public rather than an attack?

3)Why did Boko Hram not gain grounds during the time of Ihejirika but after his retirement to contest Abia Gov? Today Boko is taking City where they once ran for their dear life? undecided

4)Are Nigerians so daft to think a secret society like Boko Hram will reveal their sponsors whilst top commanders such as Kabiru Soko to in Nigeria custody could not ascertain where their sponsorship was coming from, even under torture? undecided

5)Boko Haram seems to time their bombardment to coincide with major events such as elections in Osun, PDP rally and Presidential national address.

6)Why have America, Britain and France not yet rescued the Chibok girls or ascertained Boko Haram sponsor?

7)Since when is a terrorist group that have killed thousands of Nigerians credible source of information on their sponsors and why haven't these same commanders given Nigerians tip off on their operations to save lives? Think my people think!

8.)In the Australian negotiator shoes will you cross Boko Haram and risk beheading or appease(pacify) them?

BOKO HARAM is APC and APC is Boko Haram, their ideology is Islam and all Nigeria must embrace Sharia. This problem started with the introduction of Sharia and will end with the ban on Sharia.

As long as they hold on to Chibok girls and try to divert our attention whilst they take territory, they remain terrorist and cannot be trusted.

#Release the Chibok girls we ask not sponsor.
I agree with everything u said apart from the Chibok girls. I still believe it's a hoax.
PoliticsAPC A Party With supporter of APC Ideology Has Been Promoting Terrorism – PDP by ritux(op): 3:11am On Sep 04, 2014
NATIONAL leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP yesterday alleged that National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the leadership of the party and the party structure were frustrating efforts by the Federal Government to contain the lingering cases of Boko Haram insurgency with many killed regularly and property worth millions of naira destroyed.

In a statement yesterday by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, the PDP also accused the APC of being a party made up of desperate politicians who support violence in all its ramifications.
Metuh described the statement by the leadership of APC on statement made by Australian, Dr. Stephen Davis as completely lacking in validity, character and intellectual content befitting the chairman of a political party.

The PDP spokesman said:
“The Peoples Democratic Party has noted yet another failed image laundering stunt by the APC wherein its National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun cheapened his office and person by attempting to use an unempirical statement by Australian Dr. Stephen Davis, to absolve his party of blames for promoting insurgency in the country.

“Whilst we recognize the right of citizens to hold and canvass opinions in a democratic setting such as guaranteed under the PDP-led administration, we hold, and strongly too that such rights must be properly and respectably exercised.

“It is therefore shocking and worrisome that the APC National Chairman, Oyegun, in a frenzied effort to extricate his party, rather than exonerate the APC has reinforced and underscored its true identity as a party of desperate politicians supportive of violence and disunity through their utterances and body language, a fact that is already well known to all Nigerians.

“In trying to stand the truth on its head, Oyegun has succeeded in further exposing the desperation of the APC to launder its image through renewed propaganda and blackmail, a project which has already failed.

“If not to achieve the self-serving purpose of exonerating the APC, why would Oyegun’s statement choose to be silent on the revelation by Davis that some people opposed to President Goodluck Jonathan used their connections with Boko Haram to frustrate his efforts?

“We also wonder why the APC has chosen to ignore some of the revealing aspects of Dr. Davis’ interview concerning Boko Haram’s funding and sponsorship. Is it because they are not favourable to them?

“While not holding brief for anybody, it is clear to every discerning mind that Oyegun’s statement, with all intent and purpose is yet another decoy to frustrate genuine efforts at finding solutions to the security challenges we face as a nation to the advantage of the APC whose penchant to use the promotion of violence as tool to achieve political control is well known to all.

“Nigerians may recall the frenzy with which the APC fought against moves by the British Parliament to investigate its involvement with terrorist elements as well as to divert attention from their meetings outside the shores of our country in their bid to promote insurgency in Nigeria.

“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to restate that we stand by our statements that the APC as a party with a supporter of APC ideology has been promoting insurgency and acts of terrorism through the actions and utterances of its leaders. Indeed, no amount of blackmail or propaganda can erase this truth.

“Nigerians have since noted the pattern and timing of violent attacks against our people which betray a trend tailored against the PDP and the Federal Government and provide impetus for the APC to find a voice and thrive. They know that it has become a recurring decimal that whenever the PDP or the Federal Government records or is about to record a major milestone, insurgents launch attacks on the people.

“Oyegun must understand that Nigerians know the APC for what it truly is and can no longer be hoodwinked by propaganda, blackmail and tactical misrepresentation. He should therefore stop debasing his office by struggling for media space with his National Publicity Secretary.

“It is indeed disheartening that the APC National Chairman has continued to disparage his office and age by making series of unguarded and inflammatory utterances and issuing statements laced with fabrications and wild allegations while leading his party like a frustrated rebel group desperate for political control; and whose understanding of opposition is crass unruliness and a culture of irresponsibility.

“Chief Oyegun has only succeeded in disappointing many Nigerians who thought his coming to office will result in a more responsible and constructive opposition. Instead, the reprehensible image of APC as a party that has nothing good to offer has worsened under him.”

PoliticsRe: What Manner Of An Opposition Party Is APC? by ritux: 1:55pm On Sep 02, 2014
maestroferddi: I am personally astounded by the developments in this country. The degree of bitterness and intolerance are getting pretty worrisome.

Granted, the government in power has a lot to do to meet the expectation of the electorates that voted it into power. But then we have to draw a line between a constructive opposition and sheer unreasonableness.

In other climes, opposition elements make their mark by complementing the party in power. In other words, they, as a watchdog of government, provide constructive opposition. They praise the government when it makes positive progress and provide constructive criticism when the government falls out of line.

From the foregoing, the opposition duly earn their respect and recognition.
Infact, the opposition conduct themselves as a credible alternative. Put in another way, the opposition demonstrate, by their action, that they be could entrusted to form a broad-based government without jeopardising the common good.

The case of Nigeria is pathetically unfortunate. We have a situation where the major opposition party practically see nothing good in whatever the government does. It is as if the main opposition party viz APC is pre-set willy-nilly to denigrate and disparage all actions of government.

I am constrained to ask whether this tendency is purely an African thing; where you must denigrate and malign your counterpart even when doi so is at the detriment of the common good...

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria's main opposition party, I believe, has not covered itself in that much glory over the past few days. One would have expected some level of appreciation and commendation for the growing democratic culture in Nigeria as witnessed by the free and fair elections in some states in the past few months.

Instead, all one hears are a cacophony of discordant voices.
Now, I am beginning to comprehend why Julius Nyerere asserted that African culture abhors opposition...
God bless u

valicious1: The 3rd APC progressive governance series is being held in owerri right now and aired on channels tv.
The national chairman apc chief john oyegun made a statement that I think he should be made to explain to the SSS and police and I quote

" We would make sure Nigeria doesn't survive another four years should pdp/jonathan win next year "

He should be made to explain to Nigerians and indeed security agencies what he means by this treasonable statement.
APC supporters should keep supporting these devils....when GEJ wins come 2019, these devils will instigate a protest which will lead to bloodshed while their immediate family members will be aside the country.

Politics2015: Buhari, Gov Kwankwaso’s Supporters Clash by ritux(op): 10:59am On Aug 31, 2014
The battle for the presidential ticket of the All Progressive Congress (APC) is creating tension in Kano State where the supporters of Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and those of former Head of State, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, have clashed.

The state House of Assembly, dominated by the APC, has broken into two camps, each supporting Kwankwaso and Buhari.
The governor and former Head of  State are leading contenders for the APC presidential ticket.

Some members of the assembly, under the aegis of G34, had, late last week, endorsed Kwankwaso for the APC presidential ticket.
But signs that all was not well in the parliament emerged, yesterday, when a member of the group, Yusuf  Abdullahi Atta, dissociated himself and some of his other colleagues from the endorsement, declaring support for Buhari.

Kano State Deputy Majority leader, Yusuf Suleiman Babangida, who disclosed the G 34 endorsement of the state governor, on Thursday, declared that the current security situation in the country requires a man with courageous disposition of Kwankwaso to handle. ‘’The security of state and it’s citizens which is the first obligation that the law of the land places  upon leadership is deteriorating at all levels due to the collapse of the centre”, the lawmaker said.

Babangida, who played a prominent role in the election that brought Kwankwaso to power in 2011, stated,  “We the lawmakers in Kano House of Assembly, 34 of us precisely, hereby propose our leader, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

Babangida noted that his group’s  conviction emanated from the fact that “Kwankwaso is eligible to occupy the office of the President,’’ saying, ‘’We therefore consider this aspiration as the taste of every progressive mind who has concerns over the state of the nation. “

In a sudden twist, yesterday, Atta, representing Fagge local government in the assembly, distanced  himself and some of  Buhari’s loyalists during a popular radio political programme “Kowane Gauta”.
The lawmaker, during the political programme aired by a private station declared that Babangida’s statement did not enjoy his support and urged  Buhari loyalists to remain calm.

‘’For now, Kano has no candidate other than Gen. Buhari for presidency by 2015; anything short of this popular arrangements remain a deceit”, he said. Atta, during the pay per second radio political programme, whose listeners cut across seven states in the North-west, affirmed that Kano would only consider any other option outside  Buhari except he stepped down his ambition.

Buhari and Kwankwaso have large but disciplined  and fanatical supporters in the state who are emotional about the 2015 presidential dream of their principals.

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Be Grateful To Patrick Sawyer by ritux: 2:14pm On Aug 27, 2014
Yungwizzzy: Nigerians should be grateful to Patrick Sawyer and not curse him
It's quite unfortunate that Patrick Sawyer brought Ebola virus to Nigeria, but if you look at it from another angle you will see that he did more good than harm
If Mr Sawyer didn't bring this virus to Nigeria, the virus would have still found his way to Nigeria.
Imagine if the virus was imported from a remote source by travelers and illegal immigrants due to our porous borders, don't you think the virus would creep into Nigeria and slowly spread into the massive ignorant populace
But rather Patrick Sawyer who was a public figure was involved which prompted media attention and swift action from the federal government.
It was because Mr Sawyer was involved that is why market women, mechanics, bus drivers, literate and non-literate Nigerians are aware of the EDV epidemic
And trust Nigerians on such issues, we took it to another level and it spread like wildfire. Bbm, Twitter, Facebook, NAIRALAND were not left out on the campaign. TV and radio stations were also involved. At one point or the other people were adding salts, sugar and maggi to the story!!
My conclusion is: If the diseases came from an unknown source, due to lack of awareness of Nigerians it would have killed more people in hundreds before our "proactive" government would step in, but Mr Patrick Sawyer made people to stop unnecessary handshakes, hugs etc and started wearing of hand gloves and taking precautions.
Your view?
I don't agree with your views. All the neighbouring countries that share boundaries with Nigeria do not have cases of Ebola.

TV/MoviesRe: Who's The Most Successful Expendable? by ritux(op): 4:39pm On Aug 18, 2014
1. Harrison Ford

Lifetime box-office gross: £2.147 billion

Average box-office gross: £60.7 million

Biggest domestic hit: ‘Star Wars’ (1977) - £276.2 million

Ford replaced Bruce Willis in ‘The Expendables 3’, worked a few days, pretended to fly a helicopter and subsequently tops the list of the most successful Expendables. ‘Star Wars’. ‘Indiana Jones’. The Jack Ryan movies. ‘Air Force One’. ‘The Fugitive’. Harrison Ford has more hits than a DJ with the complete collection of Now That’s What I Call Music. That total is only going to go up thanks to ‘Episode VII’, while ‘Indy 5’ remains a grim possibility. Well done, Harrison: go and buy yourself a special new earring to celebrate.

TV/MoviesRe: Who's The Most Successful Expendable? by ritux(op): 4:39pm On Aug 18, 2014
2. Bruce Willis

Lifetime box-office gross: £1.962 billion

Average box-office gross: £33.3 million

Biggest domestic hit: ‘The Sixth Sense’ (1999) - £175.8 million

The reason Bruce Willis doesn’t feature in ‘The Expendables 3’ is because he asked for too much money – perhaps Stallone looked at his $3.2 billion of total gross and decided he didn’t need any more gold houses or rocket cars. Nonetheless, Willis is a machine: his five Die Hards gift him a podium finish, but it’s standalone movies like ‘The Sixth Sense’ and ‘Armageddon’ that see him take the silver medal. But who takes gold?

TV/MoviesRe: Who's The Most Successful Expendable? by ritux(op): 4:38pm On Aug 18, 2014
3. Antonio Banderas

Lifetime box-office gross: £1.300 billion

Average box-office gross: £32.5 million

Biggest domestic hit: ‘Shrek 2’ (2004) - £264.4 million

Ay, caramba! As super-energetic new Expendable Galgo, Antonio Banderas walks off with the movie – and he’s almost waltzed away with the top honours here. Sure, you could argue that the Spaniard’s $2 billion total is skewed somewhat by about a billion dollars of ‘Shrek’ voiceover work, but don’t forget his fine work in the ‘Zorro’ movies, the ‘Spy Kids’ franchise and hits like ‘Interview With The Vampire’ – and there’s his Spanish language films, which don’t even make the list. Señor Banderas, we salute you!

TV/MoviesRe: Who's The Most Successful Expendable? by ritux(op): 4:37pm On Aug 18, 2014
4. Mel Gibson

Lifetime box-office gross: £1.242 billion

Average box-office gross: £37.6 million

Biggest domestic hit: ‘Signs’ (2002) - £136.5 million

The fallen one. It seems so long ago now, post-meltdown, but Mel Gibson used to be a demographic-straddling, Oscar-conquering slayer of box-office records, juggling hit franchises (‘Lethal Weapon’, ‘Mad Max’) with critically acclaimed dramas (‘Braveheart’). How times change: in the last decade, Mel has only grossed around $50 million, with each ‘comeback’ less effective than the last. Cheer up, Gibbo: you’re officially more successful than Arnie and Sly.

TV/MoviesRe: Who's The Most Successful Expendable? by ritux(op): 4:36pm On Aug 18, 2014
5. Sylvester Stallone

Lifetime box-office gross: £1.133 billion

Average box-office gross: £29.8 million

Biggest domestic hit: ‘Rambo: First Blood Part II’ (1985) - £90.1 million

Another shock! Barney ‘The Boss’ Ross in ‘Not actually the boss’ catastrophe! Stallone not making the upper echelons of the most successful Expendables list isn’t too surprising on reflection – he had an extremely fallow period in the late nineties/early noughties and his career was considered deader than a doornail. However, ‘Rocky Balboa’ proved he still had “something in the basement” and we wouldn’t be here talking about ‘The Expendables’ today if it weren’t for his leadership. Also important: he beat Arnie.

TV/MoviesRe: Who's The Most Successful Expendable? by ritux(op): 4:36pm On Aug 18, 2014
6. Arnold Schwarzenegger

Lifetime box-office gross: £1.112 billion

Average box-office gross: £38.9 million

Biggest domestic hit: ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ (1991) - £122.7 million

Shock! Screen titan Arnie is a legend of action cinema, yet his mid-table finish does not do him justice. With several decades’ worth of classics under his considerable belt, Schwarzenegger will have to be happy just knowing he has the best and most lasting body of work of any of ‘The Expendables’ (yes, including Kellan Lutz), but his strong average box-office gross – over 30 years, remember – is at least indicative of his enduring popularity. Also, he ran the world’s eighth largest economy for eight years. So there’s that.

TV/MoviesRe: Who's The Most Successful Expendable? by ritux(op): 4:34pm On Aug 18, 2014
7. Kellan Lutz

Lifetime box-office gross: £983 million

Average box-office gross: £66.5 million

Biggest domestic hit: ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ (2010) - £180.1 million

K-Lutz is no klutz when it comes to picking successful projects. Of course, the five ‘Twilight’ movies he’s appeared in make up the lion’s share of his box-office takings – indeed, remove the saga from his total and he’s only amassed in the region of $280 million – but he’s new blood and still finding his footing in the action game. Immortals was his biggest non-vampire success story with $83 million domestic, although he didn’t play the lead – and his last leading role in ‘The Legend Of Hercules’ bombed hard. He’ll always have ‘Twilight’.

TV/MoviesRe: Who's The Most Successful Expendable? by ritux(op): 4:33pm On Aug 18, 2014
8. Wesley Snipes

Lifetime box-office gross: £560.2 million

Average box-office gross: £19.3 million

Biggest domestic hit: ‘Blade II’ (2002) - £49.3 million

He’s been out of the game for a few years – something about losing a tax form down the back of the sofa – but Snipes has a pretty strong showing for a guy who never really wanted to be an action hero. Reteamed with Demolition co-star Stallone after being released from jail, Snipes will be hoping ‘The Expendables 3’ can top the ‘Blade’ movies at the box-office, although his most successful non-superhero movie is the magnificent sports comedy ‘White Men Can’t Jump’, which just goes to show: action ain’t everything.

TV/MoviesRe: Who's The Most Successful Expendable? by ritux(op): 4:33pm On Aug 18, 2014
9. Jet Li

Lifetime box-office gross: £469.2 million

Average box-office gross: £29.3 million

Biggest domestic hit: ‘Lethal Weapon 4’ (1998) - £78.2 million

He’s the shortest of the Expendables and Jet Li comes up short here too, although this list does only count movies that had a release in the US – if you factor in Li’s Eastern movies, he’s a way more powerful player. Is is telling that Li’s most successful movie to date was ‘Lethal Weapon 4’, his Hollywood debut? Not really: big budget has never really been Li’s thing, and a string of medium hits like ‘Cradle 2 The Grave’, ‘The One’ and ‘Romeo Must Die’ all made him as profitable as he was entertaining.
