10. Jason Statham Lifetime box-office gross: £454.7 million Average box-office gross: £16.8 million Biggest domestic hit: ‘The Italian Job’ (2003) - £63.6 million He’s the new kid on the block, relatively speaking, so The Stath can take some comfort in the fact that most of the other action heroes on this list have at least an extra 20 years’ worth of box-office takings. Guy Ritchie, ‘The Transporter’ trilogy and ‘Crank’ movies helped make him a star, but it was his supporting role in the Hollywood remake of ‘The Italian Job’ that’s been his most successful movie in the US to date. If we run this list in a decade, expect Statham to be considered higher (and considerably more bruised).

We imagine the air on the set of ‘The Expendables 3' was already thick with testosterone and man scent – and with actors like Stallone and Schwarzenegger on the cast, one-upmanship was surely the order of the day. Rather than measure their biceps, however, we’ve decided to see which 10 Expendables cast members had the most clout where it really mattered: at the box-office. Let the financial flexing begin! If our Governors are all working like this, we won't complain too much about their looting. In fact we won't even notice their looting |
I started driving codedly at the age of 16. My mom was aware but my dad did not know. One fateful day, he caught me driving in our street. The fear of him catching me driving got into me that I started fumbling. He was so upset that he got home very angry and started shouting on my mom and I. Later that evening, he could me aside and started advising me. He said he had no problem with me driving but since my hand wasn't strong, I should not drive on the street that I could easily hit someone or run into some buildings. That was the green light for me. At 17 I drove from Warri to Ekpoma, Edo state and from Warri to Port Harcourt. I did not even wait till 18 before I got my Licence. When I was learning, I never used the L symbol lol |

ibis: hi. if you read the book which is more detailed, he was called revolutionary lover because he believed in Biafra and what it stood for. Thanks Ibis, I never read the book. |
Mutuwa: Thanks for this post Op.when I first saw this thread,I just had noting to say.not until this afternoon that I saw a chubby looking fellow corper or mayb fits the describtion of your post inside gwarinpa b4 setraco gateI started at him and he made attempts to flag me down for assistance. Then I told myself that i must google up this thread and shower my thanks on you.Had it been i saw the cops at setraco gate,I would have alerted them. The alleged guy was using a honda academy car 1994 or 95 to be specific with his bonnet opened. You are right. I think he operates around this region. Someday, nemesis will catch up with him. |
kendrick93: why would someone go to a cineama to watch a nigerian movie anyway?.. i can't.This is not one of those Nigerian movies you see on African Magic. |
freakcin: @ OP: It was censored to remove graphic scenes depicting the civil war in order not to whip up unwanted sentiments! You are right, the original movie was censored to remove some scenes that could heat of the present political situation of our country. |
I was at the Cinema yesterday for the movie. I think it is okay. For the fact that the spent lots of money in producing this film, I will give them thumbs up. The only negative side for me was that I don't like the way it ended. I like the guy Ugwu most especially when he was teaching and also when his master asked him not to call him Sir ![]() Please why was Ejiofor always called revolutionary lover? I still dont get. 7/10 Finally, for those people thinking about Nigeria on the brink or wanting Nigeria to break up, please go watch this movie. If we are going to have a peaceful break up which I doubt will ever happen, fine no problem. But if it is going to be in the form of fighting and war....hmmmnnn let's remain the way we are. My parents told me stories about the civil war. Me, I don't want to experience it. One Nigeria |
ebullientV: Why are people antagonising the OP on his useage of d word ''massive''.God bless u more. You get sense jare. |
Nice one. I hope they won't lay off some of the current staff of ConocoPhillips. I also hope this will create like 500 employment spaces for graduate trainees. |
Kzinne: You chased him right?assuming the guy while he was been chased by you had an accident and he was killed. You could have been held for murder or manslaughter. Even the VIO or FRSC do not have a right to chase under the law. Whats wrong with you?. Repent and stop blabbing. At least its your mates that are giving out millions without asking for anything in return. Truth is you thought it was your right to chase cos you gave him that chicken changeTalking about chasing him, if he was involved in accident, that would have served him right in hell. Besides nobody would have known I was following or chasing him. If you had been reading my post on this thread, you will know I lost him because I was on the fast lane and he was using the service lane. Yes, my mates are giving out millions. I pray God will uplift me to that status that I can give out a million naira to the needy that deserves it and not con stars. But for now, I will give out the hundreds and thousands that I can afford and be happy I assisted someone who really needs it in a genuine way. Yes, 700bucks is a chicken change to me. Twice of it won't even buy my lunch at work but there are many pple out there looking for just 500 naira to buy 3 square meal. And for your info, I did not follow him because of the 700 but because of his actions. |
Kzinne: Mr Man for your information you are the criminal here. First of all what right do you have to give him a chase? Did he rob you? He could have gone to the police and called you a criminal who was trying to kill him. Like someone said because you gave him how much does not make you his father. you could have gone to the police if you suspected any foul play. don't take the law into your hands. you're one of those who follow the crowd in dispersing jungle justice. His car may have broken down again. you never could have known. And if truly hes a criminal, you are nothing better than that man. you are also a criminal.I don't even know what to tell you because you don't know what you are saying. Did you read each page to see other people's encounter with this same guy? Okay, his car broke down again...why was he flagging me to stop and all of a sudden, turned his face? Why was he waving to me telling me to go when I was reversing? Why did he jump into his car and speed off when I was getting close to me? Why am I even wasting my time replying you in the first place? |
DonCrust: @OP I bet u were his 1st and only client he "jobed"on that day, if not, he wouldn't have recognize you.I think he later recognised the car. He was already flagging me down for help and then he turned his face suddenly. |
lekzzydo: you didn't chase him because of the money then why would you have collected your #700 if you found him fake.Well, 700 naira is not a problem to me. If I was, I won't have parted with it. I know the number of faceless people I have assisted with money well over than that 700 naira. It would have been better I gave dat money to a beggar without hands or assist the NL crew that helps people in time of need than allow a con star scam me. I would have collected the money because he must have duped other pple as well. As a Corp member, I know things could be tight sometimes. If he was will, I would have just advised him to desist from it. Real or fake, if I had gotten him and asked for the money and refuses to give me, will I beat him? NO. Will I fight him? NO I for still enter my motor waka comot. |
ManTiger: I like your cool response.... Pls from the look of that guy, which region do you think he's from?Well I can't tell. |
Iceduhu: Wow this is not happening again, I should have followed my instincts, this is a serious case @ hand that we should be wary of, honestly I saw this corper in question myself along Kubwa Dei dei on 28th July, it was like Old Honda academy or so, with kind of dull paint like ash am nt sure, he parked the car by the road side waving for assistance from other motorist, wearing full Corper khaki, his crest jacket was button open, u can see his crest vest. I suspect him as somthing suspicious was craving but I was just like any other passer going for my normal activity, the police should be alert, I will do my best in doing that, I have some contacts. @ OP pls cud u drop ur contact so that I cud have some one as evidence of the incidence when the need arises. You are very right. That is the car, some very old looking Honda. I will pm u my number or contact me on dietstar@yahoo.com |
tojahh: Hmm but @OP na waa for you o. You see a 'Corper' with a car you stop dey form good citizen. If that 'Corper' was standing stranded will you have stopped to part with 700 Naira? Shey you wan show say na 'We We' unto Car Owners. Anyway, thanks for sharing, I live in Gwaripa, I'll look out for the guy and make sure I asked him for some 'egunje' or else him go see pepper that day.Like I said, I stopped because he was on nysc uniform. I don't stop for every stranded stranger on the road. My instinct, the location and the speed at which I am driving will determine if I will stop for stranded pple on the road. |
ManTiger: @ritus, thats not robbing, its called extortion as in like a police extorting motorist.I never said it is robbery. I only said pple like this are the type that can rob pple on the road in pretence of seeking for help. Just the way some pple will disguise as Rev fathers or pastors and end up robbing you if u stop to help. |
elobyobi: You'll hardly even find a corper with FULL NYSC kit on a Monday or a Tuesday...u sef suppose know say na scamWell I don't know if you have had the privilege to serve. One thing I know, cds days varies across all states. Secondly, during my nysc days, we were told to always put on our nysc uniform when travelling. For me, I was always putting on my face cap and holding the khaki jacket when travelling while some of my fellow Corp members back then can't do without the complete uniform. Even to the extent that they must wear the jungle boot. Since it was a public hols, I felt probably he was travelling for the public holiday or coming back from his holiday. |
Abbey2sam: He might not be a real copper.............so don't just conclude that he's a copperI'm not concluding that he is one. In fact his actions depicts that he is not a Corp member. I only stopped because I was once a Corp member and I got some free help from people during my service in Akwa Ibom state. If it wasn't a busy road, I won't have stopped in the first place. |
Abbey2sam: He might not be a real copper.............so don't just conclude that he's a copperI'm not concluding that he is a Corp member. |
mikeeeeee: I met this same corper yesterday evening at kubwa express after kagini junction, close to that new bridge, parked with bonnet up and he stoped me and said his fuel just got finished, I gave him 500 naira. This guy must be a thief. The guy is dark and a little bit bulky. He drives a dark car. I think black or dark navy blue. |
OkikiOluwa1: 1st BulletThanks bro. Though I won't have followed him to any quiet place. |
Nihilist: You chased somebody with your car because you gave him ordinary 700 naira?I did not chase him because of the money. If I had gotten him, I would have just insisted on seeing his ID card. If he had shown me a fake or expired ID, I would have asked for my 700 naira from the money he has collected from others. |
