Nigeria, Nigeria a nation so blessed yet the people are so stressed.

A nation flowing with the proverbial milk and honey yet the people are crying
Nigeria I hail thee; in your bellies are great men formed, forged by the trials and difficulties you present ...
Nigeria the land of our birth, we know someday you will bring us the goodies we deserve but until then I will keep believing in you, I will pray for you and think of what I can do to make you a better place.
Nigeria..I won't complain or curse you cos no one shud expect anything good from you after cursing, complaining and insulting you.
I will WAIT and while waiting, PRAY for I believe one day you will turn out right..
I will WAIT becos I believe in you.

Nigeria ; Good people , Great Nation.
Happy independence celebration to the land of our birth.

Chibuhealth: Married in School, Single at home.

Girls when wil you guys stop this thrash? The rate at which some girls live with their boyfriend(student) in their various off camp hostels is very disgusting and irritating. Sometimes, it pain me seeing a beautiful, promising young girl living with a boy who is also her fellow student in school as a room mate. The worst part of it is that, if you ask her, she will open her roten mouth to tell you that the small boy is her fiance. Girls wise up! ''ichoro iri awo, irie awo chara acha, akpoo gi ori awo, iza'' its very painful because their parents are not aware and they keep collecting house rent from them. Before you think of living with a boy as your room mate, ask yourself this questions; why am i in school? Is this boy upto marriageable age? What advice will i give to my children in future? Where will this friendship take me to? Some girls, after spending 4/5 good years in school, instead of them to go home or better still squat with their fellow girls while doing their clearance and also waiting for their call up later, they will go to their boyfriend's house. *i weep for my fellow girls* you call it school life, but i call it stupidity of the highest order. You guys should desist from this ugly behaviour. Its bad!!!!

Op why are u so bitter?

Yes, I am guilty about what u just posted above. My gf and I both lived together off campus back then in school. Whenever we had our little misunderstanding, she goes back to her own room. We dated for 9yrs. Today we are happily married with a kid. My greatest joy is that I married my best friend.

It worked for some people while it also did not work for others. It all depends on what u want. To each his own.

wo1F: Bros I see a reflection of myself in you in terms my current political ideologies. You're submission was my immediate position upon stumbling into this news.

I'm a core GEJ led PDP man. But I'm also a man of reason who bows to superior argument when he sees one. I'm Igbo but I'm an also an unappologetic nationalist. Any ticket from APC that see Adams and/or Fashola on it will get my vote. Anything short of these two, sai Jonathan till 2019

I hope the comrade Governor realises he'll get millions of undecided voters should he throw himself in the mix.
God bless my country
On point bro. I vote based on individual personalities and not party alliance. APC as a party has not proven to me that they have anything to offer apart from the thirst and hunger for power at the center.

I don't share their ideology. All they do is to criticise the present government on all polices even when the policy favours the common man.

So if Oshiomole gets the presidential ticket which I doubt will happen, he will surely get the vote of my entire household. But till then, GEJ/PDP till 2019.
TV/MoviesRe: How MTN Is Killing The Quality Of Project Fame West Africa With Greediness by ritux: 1:37pm On Sep 21, 2014
isaactolu: MTN is one of the most innovative and creative brand in Nigeria, I know a lot of you have issues with them (including me) but that does not deny the fact that this company has been proven time and again to be miles ahead in creativity and innovations. From their advertisements, their value added services, community projects to their talent hunts and reality shows am sure you will agree with me that they are a genius or let me say they have some genius handling these areas because in some other areas, hmmm you and I know MTN ‘na wash’. A lot of us still remember the“Chris, where is the phone” advert not to talk of the more recent Saka I don port ooo advert, the truth be said MTN makes us enjoy watching adverts on TV, not to talk of ‘Who Want To Be A Millionaire’ show and their Project Fame West Africa is undoubtedly the best among its peers.

Project Fame West Africa (which I will refer to as PFWA henceforth) is the best talent development reality TV show in West Africa. PFWA has produced some of the country’s finest musicians since its inception 7 years ago and all, I mean all of it past winners have gone on to become hits in the music industry, from Iyanya, Chidinma, Monica and recently Olawale, you will agree with me that PFWA has always produced stars.
Have you ever wait for a minute to examine why PFWA always produce stars that after the show make their marks and become popular in the music industry whereas rival TV shows like Glo Naija sings, Etisalat’s Nigerian Idol repeatedly fail to match such feat? You will observe that we don’t even get to remember the names of past winners of these rival shows whereas we can still vividly remember who the fourth runners up of like 3 seasons ago of PFWA was.
PFWA has become this successful simply because of its structure of operation what we can call its Modus Operandi. Rival shows all have the same structure which differs from PFWA structure and that is why they are not as successful. PFWA is structured in such a way that it will always produce the best from the bests.
We have a panel of judges, the faculty and the contestants. The faculty gives each contestant a task to do, a song to perform and they also coach and tutor them so as to get them to give the best performance possible. All the contestants perform at the show where they are scrutinized by the judges pointing out their errors and areas they need to improve on. The judges then select the 4 worst performance of the day and put them on probation. From these 4 contestants, the viewers will save a contestant; the faculty one and the other contestant will save 1 the other contestant not saved will exit the show.

If you look at this structure properly you will notice that it is guaranteed to produce the best out of the bests. A very good contestant is likely never to be on probation throughout the show- we have seen this in past seasons, examples include Monica, Chidinma etc. But this season MTN just came up with the greedy idea of putting all the contestants on probation after the 3rd week. This act will surely increase MTN’s revenue from voting but it will kill the quality of the show as it is the contestant with the highest number of votes that get to remain in the competition cos we all know that anybody that will vote due to the high cost of the SMS charge will only vote for his/her friend or relative among the contestants regardless of whether he/she is aware that the person is good or not. In other words, I can’t have a friend or relative among the contestants and not vote for him/her even if I realize there are better contestants in the show.

What this will result into is producing the contestant with the highest no of rich friends and relatives (who could afford the high cost of voting) as winner instead of the producing the best contestant as winner. This is the system that rival shows are using that is making them never to produce a true star. MTN following this system will surely increase their purse but will speedily kill the quality of the show.
And we are already experiencing this in the exit of Shola (I know you all agree that he is by far better than some of the contestants left in the competition). Just look at the scenario that put Geoffrey, Shola, Christian and Daniella on probation believe you me if the original system had been used, none/just one of them would have been on probation.

MTN will truly make money from this new system but at the same time they will kill the quality of the show, it is now left for them to either choose to pursue money or the quality of the competition.

I totally agree with you.
PoliticsRe: 2015: Oshiomhole To Vie For APC Presidential Ticket by ritux:
ruggedboy01: •Number of aspirants increase as Buhari, Atiku,
Okorocha, Kwankwaso, Saraki battle for slot
GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State is
warming up to join the 2015 presidential race.
He is expected to slug it out with former Vice-
President Atiku Abubakar, Senator Bukola Saraki,
Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano), and Governor
Rochas Okorocha (Imo) as well as former military
Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari for the
ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Gen. Buhari and Senator Bukola Saraki, are yet to
officially declare their interest in the contest.
More members of the party may show interest in due
course, according to party sources.
Governor Oshiomhole, it was gathered, has already
completed consultations at home and abroad on his
aspiration.
He was in the United Kingdom and the United States
of America (USA) recently as part of the
consultations.
He is said to have received encouragement to join
the race from friends, including foreigners who have
followed his switch from labour to politics and
governance.
His backers are convinced that Oshiomhole stands a
good chance of making it to Aso Rock Villa since the
PDP has conceded its own ticket slot to President
Goodluck Jonathan from the Southsouth.
They are of the view that the choice of Oshiomhole
might serve as a counter-balancing force to Jonathan
in the zone should the APC concede the slot to the
Southsouth.
But there is a snag: the recent election of Chief John
Odigie-Oyegun from the same zone as the party’s
National Chairman.
A source familiar with the development said
Oshiomhole has been “looking at the larger picture
and not geopolitical calculation.”
“The comrade governor, is considering the need for a
leader to salvage the nation rather than any other
calculation,” the source said.
“This is why he has been meeting with leaders at
home and abroad on his aspiration and how to
rescue the nation. He has concluded consultations
and he is of the strong opinion that he should vie for
the office.
“The governor is interested in the presidential race.
He will make his intention known soon. As a former
labour leader, he believes he has a bigger
constituency to lead the APC to victory in 2015 if he
gets the ticket.
“The governor will make a declaration as soon as the
APC releases the guidelines in line with INEC’s
timetable.”
The governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Prince
Kassim Afegbua, confirmed the interest of his boss in
the Presidency.
He said: “This has always been our interest because
some of us would not want the Comrade Governor to
squander his enormous political capital across the
country without giving a shot at the highest office in
the land. He has tremendous courage, brilliance and
capacity to contend with developmental issues in the
country; ingredients that are presently needed to
provide problem-solving leadership at the center.
“Give it to this great former Labour leader that he is
one Nigerian who believes so much in the unity of
the country and is ready to go to any length to
preserve that unity.
“Nigerians need a leader like Comrade Oshiomhole
at this time to galvanize all the centrifugal and
centripetal forces into a national aspiration to lift the
country from its present prostrate state to some kind
of Olympian height in a clear headed attempt to earn
our cherished position amongst nations of the
world.”
He added, “He will wait for the party to blow the
whistle but he will test his presidential participation
through the primaries. It will be our hope that the
members of the APC consider him worthy of this
noble cause in the build-up to the 2015 elections. To
answer your question, yes, he will contest.”

http://thenationonlineng.net/new/2015-oshiomhole-to-vie-for-apc-presidential-ticket/
I'm not a supporter of APC but a strong fan of GEJ/PDP. However, if Oshiomole picks the APC ticket, he gets my singular vote. Amongst the names of intending contestant mentioned above, Oshiomole seems to be the only one credible to vote for. Though that won't make me be a supporter of APC

Well for me, there is no way I will buy a car worth 24M without first owning my own house. I keep trying to figure out why some people (not Linda) drive big cars and leave in rented apartment.

The other day, I went to visit a friend in some compound with a 3 blocks of one story building consisting of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom flats. On the parking lot, I saw so many exotic cars, range rovers, jaguar, g-wagon etc parked. What came to my mind first was, why won't one drive these expensive cars and still live in a rented flat.

Finally, I concluded that maybe I am wrong...they might have built some houses somewhere in other parts of the country.

egift: PDP and False News - Nothing new.

Boko Haram madness is allowed to keep degenerating in order to exploit it as a tool. And the madness will not stop until this administration uses it to intimidate Nigerians to re-electing Jonathan, use it as an excuse to clamp down on the opposition and exploit it to tilt the outcome of 2015 election to their favour.

President Jonathan is setting a dangerous precedence.

I fear for the future.
On the contrary, APC and it's leaders are the ones setting a dangerous precedence.

teufelein: Stop Killing Boko Haram Members – Buhari Tells FG

Former Head of Military Ruler and Chieftain of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Major General Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Federal Government to stop the clampdown of Boko Haram insurgents, saying Niger Delta Militants were never killed or properties belonging to them destroyed.
Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio programme, Guest of the Week monitored said accused the government of killing and destroying houses belonging to Boko Haram members while the Niger Delta militants get special treatment.
The former dictator said that unlike the special treatment given to the Niger Delta militants by the federal government, the Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished by government.
While accusing President Jonathan of failing from the beginning to address the security situation in the country, Buhari said he has never been in support of the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa state.
According to Buhari “what is responsible for the security situation in the country is caused by the activities of Niger Delta militants. Every Nigerian that is familiar with what is happening knows this. The Niger Delta militants started it all.
