Popular Nollywood actress, Oge Okoye, has given her reasons for attending the church of a controversial pastor, Alph Lukau, who performed a viral resurrection hoax in February.

The actress who appeared in a viral video which surfaced online on Thursday weeping as she got a prophecy from the controversial man of God explained that she had done so for her aunt who is a wheelchair bound and bedridden cancer patient.

She said;

“Good morning Glam FAMILY.........I try to be calm about everything and anything especially when Negativity screams out so loud. I don't try to Calm the Storm, but will only Calm my mind and the Storm will Pass..though i owe no one any explanation as regards to my personal heavenly race but I feel like addressing THIS wild fire

I Travelled to see my mum as usual and she told me how she came across the youtube channel of AMI church and that she's been following them ever since because of what God is doing in the church through Pastor Alphalukau. So my mum wanted to visit the church because of her younger sister(My aunt)who is a cancer patient, wheelchair bound and is bedridden. Due to Mum's age,I didn't want her making that long journey from Spain to South Africa so I requested for my aunt's pictures and promised her that I would visit the church so I can stand in for her as a point of contact. That was how i visited AMI on the Sunday, 16th of October 2018,last year. Go on youtube and see for yourselves. Please Nigerians,Is anything wrong in seeking the face of God or standing in the gap for my sick aunty? How Gullible can people be?Why fabricate stories?

Meanwhile how much do you think I will be paid to do the unimaginable? God forbid
Whoever said that..May they be visited with the same bitter pill to swallow IJN. Amen
Thank you Lord for all the blessings.

Below is a moment a female PDP returning officer nearly fought an APC agent who tried shutting her up while addressing issues of violence and thugs stripping women for voting the opposition party.

The woman who was peacefully narrating the ordeal in her area to the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Riskuwa Shehu, was rudely interrupted by an agent of the APC who commanded her to sit down and close her mouth.

This later sprank up chaos, as other agents of the both parties started exchanging words before the REC intervened.

This happened before Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, winner of the Kano State governorship supplementary election held on Saturday.

A Nigerian man based abroad was humiliated and left stranded after staging a surprise marriage proposal to a beautiful lady during her birthday party.

The man got on his knees and brought out the ring for the proposal at the Nigerian lady’s birthday party which happened recently in Europe (believed to be Italy), only for the lady to shake her head and turn him down.

The humiliated man still knelt down with the ring after being rejected as friends who gathered for the birthday party/surprise marriage proposal – urged the lady to take the ring and accept him but she still refused.

Internet users have reacted to the incident which was captured on camera, with some blasting the lady for rejecting the guy while others have criticized the guy for proposing to the beautiful lady when he “looks unsure of himself and lacks packaging”.

This is really heartbreaking! Here is a footage showing a moment a Yoruba man based in the US berated his wife for taking him for a ride in the eyes of her own parents.

The man who couldn't bear her wife's incessant altitude of always expecting him to call and greet her own mother each passing day, was seen exchanging words with her [in yourba language] to the extent of demanding the paternity of his last kid after she got information from medical professionals that the Son's isn't his.

Here is what we could translate from the heartbreaking clip.

Husband; Enough is enough!Do you know how long have been fighting this through?Do your own,let me do my own.i have given you the key. So bye! Dont try to destroy my papers if not something would happen.

Wife; Listen come back ,pause what you’re recording, between me and you let’s talk,Just pause what you’re doing.

Husband; I am serious with you,I’ve been warning you all along,For your mother to have said such thing earlier too,it’s far beyond it.hoe can she say I can’t come pick my own kids?all because I didn’t come in to greet her?how many times have you greeted my own mother?

Husband; How many times have you called my own mum?i am going ,This is not about me pausing what am doing,We’ve brought ourselves far where we can’t be afraid of anything anymore. Afterall, we have three kids already and I’m going to keep doing my part as a father. But I don’t have to live with you as your husband anymore .

Do you know how long this has been ?You just keep saying I should exercise patience, you keep saying I should have patience yet we have not done Samson’s DNA TEST, you keep saying patience yet police came and arrested me in this same house, for how long?

A 44-year-old married mum, Gail Astin, had to confess to her husband when her Instagram lover blackmailed her over naked selfies, Mirror UK reports.

The lonely and depressed mom fell for the conman posing as a 55-year-old hard-up widower from Texas. The pair exchanged thousands of WhatsApp messages, emails and phone calls over four months.

Gail went as far as sending him naked selfies and secretly loaned him £5,500 by maxing out two credit cards. But when the fraudster asked for even more money and she refused to send it, he tried to blackmail £2,000 out of her.

A sobbing Gail felt suicidal – but took the right way out. She called police and then plucked up the courage to tell her husband of 16 years, Simon. And, surprisingly, he forgave her.

“He was angry and struggled to understand why I did it – because I felt lonely and needed someone to talk to. I feared for my marriage and told him if he wants me to go, I will leave,” Gail said.

“When I was told everything I was just speechless. I’d had no idea what was going on. But then I thought I hadn’t been paying Gail enough attention and felt completely inadequate,” Simon said. Now Gail is telling her story as a warning to other vulnerable women.

A survivor of the collapsed building, Mr. Moruf Abdulakeem, yesterday revealed that he was under the rubble for three hours and at a point feared death was near.

He said: “I was praying to God under the rubble, to accept and forgive me my sins, because I believed the end had come.”

According to him, he had gone out about 9.30a.m. to buy food and a bag of sachet water. He said that as he was mounting the staircase, almost getting to the third floor, the earth suddenly seemed to shift. The building collapsed. Abdulakeem, who is the head teacher of the Ohen Nursery and Primary School, teaches Basic Six.

He said: “Initially, when the building collapsed, I didn’t know where I was until after some minutes. I saw a ray of light; it was then I knew I was under the building. The first thing that came to my mind was what had happened to the pupils. I knew there was no way they could have escaped. I spent about three hours before I could see the ray light. Everywhere was dark; I heard cries of the pupils and the proprietress shouting Jesus! Jesus! I also heard the voice of Baba Ridwan. He was not too far from me under the rubble. We used to pray together in the same mosque. He was calling for help. When I heard his voice, I told him to pray, not to shout.

“When I saw the ray light, I tried to raise my hand up. Someone touched me, and called my name. The person told me not to worry that they were coming to rescue me. It took the rescue team an hour before they could remove the slab that fell on me. “It was after they removed the slab that I felt some relief.

The heat under the rubble was too much. It got to a stage I could not breathe anymore. It was God that saved me. Before the rescue team came, I was getting weaker. I started praying to God to accept my soul. “I told Baba Ridwan to pray because at that point, God is the only one that can save us. I sustained injuries on my arm, ribs, chest and legs. Even right now, I’m in severe pains. “All the time I was under the rubble, I was praising God. I didn’t know what would happen next. When they eventually brought me out; it was like a dream to me. I thank God for sparing my life; unfortunately, I lost five of Basic Six pupils and four others.”

Abdulakeem explained that at the Primary Health Centre, Onikan, where the rescue team took him to, the doctors asked him to bring N9,000 for X-ray and other treatment. He added: “Some of my co-teachers are in serious condition. A teacher called Esther is presently in coma. Another of my colleague, Daniel and the proprietress died. Others are in critical condition.”

The Nigerian army has announced the arrest of at least eight suspects who allegedly disrupted the 2019 presidential election in Rivers state.

Parading the suspects at the 6 division of the Nigerian army, Port Harcourt, on Tuesday, Sagir Musa, army spokesman, said the suspects confessed to be working for Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state.

They were subsequently taken out to where the army said a “car of Rivers state of government which they used” in their operation was parked.

The army also called out the governor for trying to bribe one of its officers describing it as a failed attempt by Governor Wike to compromise the Army.

The Imo State Commissioner of police, Dasuki Galadanchi has said that a former National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof Maurice Iwu, was invited and granted bail on self-recognition.

This is contrary to the speculations that the former INEC boss who superintended over the 2007 presidential election was arrested in Imo State and whisked to Abuja by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

But speaking to our correspondent on the telephone on Tuesday, the State Commissioner of Police said that the EFFC operatives actually came looking for the professor of pharmacy.

The CP said, “The EFCC operatives from Lagos arrived in Owerri and reported in my office that they came to arrest Prof Maurice Iwu based a petition against him.
This happened on the election day which was on Saturday.

“I called Prof Maurice Iwu who came over to my office. I asked him to make a statement which he did. He was immediately granted bail on self-recognition based on his age and personality. As a man who has served this country as National Chairman of INEC.”

The CP said that Iwu promised to report himself to the EFCC office in Lagos on a later date.

A Nigerian man, Daniel Nwankwo took to his Facebook page to encourage Nigerians to always lend a helping hand to accident victims instead of doing nothing but watch them die.

Read his post below:

Hearing a loud noise I saw a crowd that was surrounding two accident victims with so much blood filled around them.

Everybody got busy exclaiming chai chai, but nobody was ready to save them. This drew my memory back to how i lost my kid brother who slumped in front of our house while everyone of us were out. news had it that people were busy observing and leaving the scene without a compassionate interest to save him.

The sad news was that he died even after he was rushed to the hospital.
I vowed to always be on the look out for those who truly needs help that no one could offer.

today adds to the stories. i forcefully had to persuade a keke man who helped to lift the guy whose face was severely smashed with so much blood pumping out.
He was now feeling so lifeless almost loosing his life until we found ourselves in general hospital off portharcourt road were he was giving first aid treatment to fully gain back consciousness.

After rallying round to pay up the necessary bills for the initial treatment, i succeeded in connecting the families of both victims. watching the time it was eleven already and i need to go.

the nurses were so thankful and tagged me the "good Samaritan" but that wasn't my joy. I was happy that i found the opportunity that i have been looking for overtime. One of my goals this year is to reach out to health challenged individuals, making out time to administer prayers and physical kindness to them. And also to cloth the needy exercise.

I took the contact of a lady who brought a fellow with face tumor problem.
I also took the contact of the friendly nurse, i told her that i will be back but i think this time we need to start work.

I cant do this alone.
people like that needs your support.
Let's make this world a better place.
Let's stop shying away from such responsibities; with the fear of being victims of circumstances.
Who knows who the next victim might be.
