The Niger state police command has arrested two suspects who confessed to hacking into banks and withdrawing money illegally.

The suspects, whose names were given as Abdulmalik Usman and Najeeb Saidu, both of IBB Road, Hill Top, Minna, were apprehended by police operatives attached to some banks.

Usman boasted of his ability to access any bank account using just a software. He said: “This is what I know how to do. I just installed the software in the system and it works like a magic; I can withdraw any amount I want.

“The software can be used to withdraw money from any bank in Nigeria and you will begin to make your cool money without police hassles. They (police) don’t even understand how it works.”

Northern City News gathered that the suspects had been involved in the crime for over three years before they were nabbed.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar said police operatives recovered five Automated Teller Machine cards belonging to different banks, hard drugs and a Command Secondary School identity card from the suspects.

He added that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as the police completed their investigation.

Two Nigerian gang members who are reported to be leaders of Cameroonian separatists terrorists’ group have been gunned down by security operatives.

According to reports, the notorious criminal elements identified as ‘General Obi’ and Ojong Elvis Ojong, were killed during a shootout in separate raids conducted by Cameroonian task force at their hideouts on Sunday, January 6, 2019.

General Obi had previously boasted after killing one of his victim, that no man born of a woman can bring him down.

Ojong Elvis is alleged to be the gang leader who had ordered his group to rip out the food and materials of the presidential donation distributed last September.
Their camps were destroyed and some weapons recovered in the process.

A young man in his late 20s, identified as Chimezie Dike, was on Saturday stabbed to death during a fight with one Henry Ekeozor over the pasting of campaign posters on the wall of a building.The incident was said to have happened around 8.20pm at 40B #Azikiwe Street, Mile 2, Diobu, #PortHarcourt, Rivers State.

The deceased, according to sources, was not a member of the All Progressives Congress, but was contracted to paste the campaign posters of Collyns Owondah, a House of Representatives candidate of the party in the area.It was gathered that Henry and his mother, Ifeoma Ekeozor, a woman leader of the APC in the area, had expressed dissatisfaction over the pasting of campaign posters of the House of Representatives candidate on the wall of their residence.

The disapproval by the duo reportedly caused a fierce argument with Dike, a development that degenerated into a fight before the victim was stabbed in the chest.A source said Dike bled to death before he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead by doctors.

The source, who identified himself as Dengi, said, “The woman (Ifeoma Ekeozor) is a woman leader in the APC, while the man, whose campaign posters were being posted, is also of the same political party, but they belong to different factions of the party.

“The young man pasting the campaign poster was Chimezie Dike from the Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State. The boy came to the street to paste the posters of a politician running for an election.
“In the process, the son of the woman leader began to quarrel with him and within a short time, the son of the woman stabbed Chimezie. He (Chimezie) died before he got to the hospital.”

Former Kano Pillars goalkeeper David Obiozo has dragged Kano Pillars to court after coach Ibrahim A. Musa’s allegation he was one of the players bribed by Enugu Rangers for the Kano team to lose the 2018 Aiteo Cup Final.

The allegations forced the former El Kanemi Warriors shot stopper to quit Pillars and join Plateau United in the closed season.

Kano Pillars Spokesman, Idris Malikawa, however denied yesterday that the Sai Masu Gida have received any correspondence from Obiozo’s lawyers.

“We are yet to receive any correspondence from lawyers representing Obiozo,” Malikawa told SCORENigeria yesterday.

However, lawyers acting on behalf of Obiozo have insisted they have contacted the NPFL club in this regard.

They stated that the allegations have seriously damaged the person, reputation and integrity of the player, who was very professional in the discharge of his duties at Kano Pillars.

Pillars were winning the AITEO Federation Cup final 3-0 with just about 20 minutes left on the clock only for Rangers to fight back and win on penalties after they forced a 3-3 draw by full time.

Shocked Pillars coach Ibrahim Musa then went on several Kano radio stations to accuse Obiozo and some other players of the club from the South-eastern part of the country for throwing away the cup final in favour of Rangers.

A Florida man spent New Year's day in a jail cell after police say he attacked a McDonald's employee for not giving him a straw.

Yasmine James was behind the counter of the McDonald's on 34th Street South, when 41-year-old Daniel Taylor forcefully grabbed her and pulled her up onto the counter and James defended herself by punching Taylor in the face, as he held on to her shirt's collar.

Biandudi says the argument started when Taylor went over to the condiment bar to grab a straw. When he noticed there were none, she says he began screaming at the employees.

The new law, which took effect January 1 in St. Petersburg says restaurants can’t have straws out. Instead, customers must request the straw. In 2020, plastic straws will no longer be allowed in restaurants at all and businesses will have to find an alternative.

Biandudi says after leaving, he came back into the store and yelled at the manager. In the police report, it says Taylor kicked another employee in the stomach on his way out.

Taylor was arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery.

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Helicopter was lost in combat while providing close air support to troops of 145 Battalion, on Wednesday, in Damasak, Borno State

Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, Director of Public Relations and Information Nigerian Air Force, in a statement on NAF twitter handle said the helicopter was lost in the ongoing counter-insurgency operations in the North East.

“The incident occurred about 7:45pm today, 2 January 2019. Details of the cause of the crash are still scanty. As soon as the details of the crash are known, they will be made available to the public,”

he said.

Erin Bankston, the mother-of-three who is from Fort Worth in Texas but currently lives in Acworth, Georgia, reportedly spent a day setting up the altar and even managed to put the rooster in a tuxedo and the hen in a pearl necklace and white garter.

The 40-year-old lady who organized a wedding ceremony for the 2 chickens Mr and Mrs Mayflower, to show how inseparable they are, has also used her newfound viral fame to raise awareness for the humane treatment of animals and hopes to make people think twice when they see a creature in need.

The story of these two lovebirds:

In May, 2017, I get a call from my friend who had just found a chicken tossed to the side at a chicken plant after all its friends had been taken to slaughter. He had a broken leg, couldn’t walk, and was mean as a snake. When he arrived at the farm, we treated him like we would all our other chickens, and made sure he had plenty of exercise, I limited his diet (because of his breed), and nursed him back to health. We spent lots of time together, and somehow that mean ole bird became one of the sweetest and most personable chickens on the farm. He has long outlived what most chickens of his breed live, and in that time he has grown bigger. He is too big to hang out with my mini chickens, and he gets major anxiety if he’s around a lot of movement (bad eyesight). I knew he was lonely, but he seemed ok just hanging out with the other chickens separated by a fence.

Fast forward to two months ago…I get another call from a girl who had literally picked up a chicken off the side of the road right after it fell from a chicken truck (the other one who fell off wasn’t as lucky). She knew this girl needed a farm where she would be loved and taken care of, and I was happy to take her in. At first I was gonna put her with the little chickens, but as time went on it seemed that she was more interested in Mr. Mayflower, as was he.

So, we started with little visits through the fence, followed by short supervised visits together, and soon realized all that they needed was each other.

They love each other, spend every waking (and non-waking) hour together. And Mr. Mayflower’s anxiety has gone down tremendously! Soooo, of course, we knew what needed to come next…a grand chicken wedding for these two lovebirds that are truly lucky to be alive and lucky to be in love!

Thanks to my friends Leslie Wells and Sandra Bianco for helping “shoot” and wrangle chickens at this most awesome, yet ridiculous event!
