Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dragnet: What A Shame! by RobbieLex: 3:15pm On Jan 08, 2008
i'm not going into an argument about dragnet, i don't know much about them, i'm just saying people should chill a bit and should'nt be too quick to criticise people,

Anyway you are all grown men and women entitled to your own opinions, so i guess whatever you think is fine!!!

All the best mates grin
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dragnet: What A Shame! by RobbieLex: 2:03pm On Jan 08, 2008
undecidedOh and Bajelo1 the ultimate entrepreneur takes advantage of the numerous problems that exist , thats what business is about my man,

, Its not a crime, its a basic business principle, trust me if you suddenly develop a solution to some of the biggest problems in the world you could be looking at becoming an entreprenuer yourself, so dont criticise someone else's idea, the problem comes when Dragnet fails to fulfill their part of the bargain which is to help solve employment problems for people, so in the mean time let Dragnet be, grin
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dragnet: What A Shame! by RobbieLex: 1:56pm On Jan 08, 2008
Thats why its optional, its not for everybody, if you have the money and can afford it go for it, otherwise stick to the normal recruitment procedure,

All over the world there are free and paid recruitment services, its just up to the job hunters to choose what they want, so rather than criticise them just continue on your regular job hunt,

i personally do not think its a scam though at the moment i do not think i have exhausted all my job hunting techniques that i was naturally born with  wink

, but who knows maybe if the Niger Labout market shows me well well i will change my mind and do it the dragnet way, but for now i'll pass. grin grin

Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Got 400,000naira Job Per Month In Shell by RobbieLex: 3:06pm On Jan 07, 2008
Relax people, shell is doing alot of retrenching and recruiting at the moment for graduate and experienced people, so you never know, if you think its not true just ignore his post rather than hating on the guy,

I dont see how his story affects anybody, so allow the guy jare, if he is dreaming let him dream and if he is bluffing, let him bluff!!!!!!! wink
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 2:33pm On Jan 07, 2008

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 6:39pm On Dec 29, 2007
Hi Toni vex, it is always a pleasure to help people out anyway i can,

To answer your question no i am not for this interview, i wrote a test in august and had my interview in october,

Like i said before i don't know what to tell you guys to expect in your january interviews, what most of us on this forum had between october and november was SRD. we also got a word document from shell telling us what to expect, Shell is very open about their interview format, i think they want people too come prepared.

If you have'nt gotten that word document then i cannot exactly tell you that your interview will be like mine, but i broke down the basics of my interview down some posts away, you can check that out if you like.

All i can say is be prepared for anything, SRD or typical interview format

All the best man , i hope i answered your question. Cheers!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 8:57pm On Dec 28, 2007
Hi all, sorry i have been out of circulation for a bit, i have been off work ( and loving my holiday) and i only just sorted out the internet connection at home. Let me begin by wishing you all happy holidays, hope christmas was fab for everyone and pray the new year is even better, the tension may be high in this forum but lets not lose focus on the reason for the season and of course the reason for living, which is our Lord Jesus Christ and inspite of the outcome of the whole shell journey keep yout heads up people, he is in control

Now let me welcome our most recent shell hopefuls to the forum, i see most of you are itching to know the details of the interview and possibly get some tips, well i posted something earlier on - i think it must have been some three or four pages away,

I'm not entirely sure what the format of the interview you guys would have since you are'nt writing a test, we that had our interviews earlier were sent a breakdown of what to expect in the interview, and what we had was SRD which is shell recruitment day. It was in three stages. There was the business case study , the group work and then of course the technical interview.

I dunno sha everything is kinda vague right now and i have had a long day jare, but you guys should skim through the post i put up before and if there are any more q's just ask and i'll answer them for you.

All the best all , PS excuse my spelling mistakes i'm kinda in a hurry to log off and jump into bed and cannot check that at the mo, Cheers
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 2:14pm On Dec 18, 2007
Hi,

What do you mean you can't place the position you applied for? its either you did the sitp thing or you did the mangement one (hr/fin) i'm not sure about interviews though, Because i think the SRD has been rounded up,
who sent you the email? have you already done your test and interview? exactly what stage in your application process are you?

Christianity EtcRe: Redeemed Church Opens World's Biggest Auditorium, Costs N7.7b by RobbieLex: 12:32pm On Dec 18, 2007
I will only make one post on this very annoying thread because i do not want to be identified on a thread that is criticising a church, a partnership with God which maybe too complicated for us to understand.

I skimmed through this thread read between the lines and saw this thread for what it is; a direct attack on Christianity, first it started out with the church buildings, then it floated into paying of tithes, and I'm not sure where it ended Because i just got tooooo irritated,

For the person that started this thread i pray God should have mercy on you and i also pray he opens your eyes to see beyond the things you see, obviously you have a very myopic view on a lot of things

There was only one really intelligent post on this thread ( sorry if they were more and i was just to disgusted to go through the entire thread) the one girl or guy who said most people will not complete their missions on earth because they spend too much time criticising the works of others, I'm so sorry for a lot of you here oh really, especially the so called Christians, i pray God has mercy on you all

The church is after the souls of men, I'm sorry if you all find it offensive that we church builders focus more on that than other things that are also important,

One of the strong arguments Atheists have against religion is the  fact that there can't possibly be God because terrible things are happening in the world, They say if God is all powerful why would he let terrible things happen like natural dusters and all of that, You guys on this thread aren't to far from the atheist line of thought i must tell you, a summary of your opinions is  that we can't possibly build a church of 60 million dollars when there are people suffering in the world,

I see the logic the analysis and all of that, but I'm sorry to disappoint you God doesn't think like that, the one thing that matters most to him is eternal life, your life after life! Honestly  if i had a million dollars i would gladly build a house of worship for God if he tells me to, i Live for him by his standards and not by standards of men.

Unfortunately no matter how many pages long this thread goes, your criticisms will be ignored because The church answers to God and not to Man, if God says we should build a church of 300 billion dollars we'll do it, Maybe you all are talking about someone else, i don't know but the one i serve is worth more than money, wetin be 60 million dollars to the one who owns everythinghuh? All God wants from us is that we obey him, if God wants a zillion dollar church, I'm ready to build it!

The church makes enough provisions for the needy, but since there are so many people here bleeding in their hearts for the homeless ( especially the dude who put up the photo) why don't you give up your fancy jobs and join the millions of missionaries in remote parts of the world who have dedicated their lives to taking care of people like that,, infact do something simpler, FOR EVERYPOST YOU HAVE MADE ON THIS THREAD FEED A HUNGRY MAN ON CHRISTMAS DAY, I'm sure that'll be good.

Everyman has a calling, don't be to engrossed in the calling of others trying to find loop holes in them that you don't adhere to your own calling, The ways of the church has never pleased man i think when the church begins to please man then thats when theres a problem,

On a more spiritual level i  just advise you guys to stop posting on this thread, You don't know the intention of the first poster so be careful, generally when it comes to arguments concerning the church do the fighting on your knees and not with your words and fists, your posts can affect the faint hearted negatively so stop all the nonsense bickering and build up your own treasures in heaven, don't try to use your mouth to attack something you know nothing about, facts and figures mean nothing to God, focus on what matters to him, do his will, do something for someone this Christmas, win souls to Christ, rather than bringing down the people who spend every waking moment doing just that for God,

Merry Christmas to you all

Yeah kosovo, im a fan of big budget movies too, LOL
would really like to know more about it.
TV/MoviesRe: ... by RobbieLex: 3:50pm On Dec 10, 2007
This is not much of a synopsis, it doesnt say much, all it does is play around with words, it;s more like a poetry piece than a synopsis, a synopsis is and should be sorta like a mini hook that makes your potential buyer want to buy your script or make a potential reader read your script, it shouldnt be vague and at the same time it shouldn't be too revealing, why don't you try rewriting your synopsis without sounding melodramtic like the last poster said,

Why limit yourself to a less than 50k figure, if you are half as good as you say you are then who knows how much someone might be willing to pay for your script,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Jine Exhibition For 12-15 Dec. 2007 by RobbieLex: 11:32am On Dec 10, 2007
How surehuh??

surprised you're asking that question, i believe you got an invitation in your mail box, huh huh

well if you did then gooooo for it, if it turns out good fine and if it doesn't then fine too, i don't think anyone can really answer your question except the organisers themselves, Soho except they happen to reply before tomorrow when registration begins i just advise that you go for it if its convenient for you,

.these job fair things aren't a guarantee that you'll get a job but still it works out well for networking and all that,

All the best
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 9:53am On Dec 10, 2007
Hi onavae,
glad to know i was helpful, yes you are sooo right about the God factor, we should hold on to him, and if Shell is really where he wants us to be then we will all get there

Whatever the outcome of this shell journey, lets all truly enjoy Christmas and not forget the reason for the season, God watches over us and we should all remember that in his time everything becomes beautiful.

, so SRD still continues and the endless wait also continues, hope you all had a fab weekend, I'm so looking forward to the holidays, i really need the break,

Lets keep each other posted drop a note once or twice,

Sorry i'm just reallising that Iris has not even served thought her service was ongoing, OOPssssss my mistake!

i don't think you should be all hot and bothered dear, though next time its better to go and be bounced than for your friend to tell you what or what not to do,

you are just going for service soooooo i don't know, if you were currently serving then i'd have told you to go for it but since you havent even served, atall, i don't know about that, Yeah maybe you should call to find out,

sorry i'm not a mobil hopeful so i don't have an H.R number, but someone posted a number earlier, you could try that,  and even if it doesnt work out you can always do the next mobil recruitment that may come up next year

Sorry Iris for the little mix up

Cheers
