Micheal i'm really happy for you, thrilled that you did not go insane as you thought you would, All the best in your medicals oh

Cutesey, long time no post, thanks for bringing some light into the thread as you know these engineering people will all soon be on their way ( sadly) the more their letters come in the less we'll see of them, meaning we need to keep the thread moving.

Yeah i heard people in your category have not heard anything at all, well i think it all has to do with the restructuring thing, the one shell project. About 3000 staff will be laid off so lets give them benefit of the doubt and say they have a lot on their hands right now, the best we can do is wait or you could even call your facilitator to find out more info,

The wait continues ohh, lets hope that this month we'll have some news.

Cheers all

Happy weekend people

CAME ACROSS THIS AND I SAW THE VACANCY FOR You GUYS AFTER SITP

Shell May Sack 3,000 Workers This Week
Shell Petroleum Development Company may this week fire 3,000 of its employees in Nigeria as it battles to survive in the wake of militant attacks on its flow stations. The massive sack, it was learnt, is being contemplated as a result of Shell’s dwindling fortunes largely because of the fall in its oil production quota. Apart from the permanent staff that are likely to get their sack letters this week, others who are classified as casual workers may also be asked to go. Before the era of militancy in the Niger Delta, Shell was producing up to a million barrels of crude oil per day. But the situation has since changed for the worst. It was learnt on Monday that Shell’s production now hovers round 400,000 barrels per day. Although the company has argued that the sack option was being considered because of what it called the One Shell Initiative. Daily Independent learnt that most workers on levels 1 to 3 have already been listed for sack while the lists of those in the categories of superintendents up to artisans are being compiled. The insinuation has been that the company was embarking on the sack exercise to enable it increase the quota of its expatriate staff. It was this argument that prompted a meeting between the company and some officials of the Federal Government last Friday. It was not clear whether the government’s intervention might affect the release of the final list of the affected employees this week. DAILY INDEPENDENT
Thanks for the info, i thought the Niger delta crises was close to being over and that the militants were tired of being militants and want peace, i'm sure i'm mixing up the stories but can someone give me some insight on whats going on now?

michael77:
with all due respect, onavaeally don't think that is true. i know s'one who made a 2-2 who has been called and i know another who made a first class that has not been called. i think i'll stick with underdogg's explanation for lagos
Actually Onavae may just be right, even though lagos people having problems with mediclas may also be true, but what Onavae is trying to say is that there are some people still underconsideration.

The same thing happened during the test, i remember they sent negative emails then positive, then a bunch of people hadn't heard from them and these ones where still being considered based on various things, it's possible for a 2.2 guy to have been called if maybe he did exceptionally well in the interview and maybe the first classer guy didnt do so well but is still being considered, Onavae isnt saying that having a 2.2 means you automatically fall into the group of people still being considered, i think what he means is that if you fall into this group then they'll be looking at a lot of other things, WAEC, your grades, and all that,

Anyway lets keep having faith that you will be eventually called

Kemjisuper:
Hey guys, does anyone have any info on the next set of SITP for 2008? I'd really like to apply this time around. I missed last years opportunity because I hadn't gone for Youth Service yet.

I'll appreciate any useful info as concerns this topic. Thanks smiley
Hi Kemi, i think the next sitp will start middle of the year and it's usaully advertised in the papers. I wish you all the best.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by RobbieLex: 10:09am On Jan 28, 2008
opokonwa:
That not withstanding, my PLAN C is already in gear.
Did a Mobil Producing test for an Experienced Procurement Officer sometime this mid-January.
Test format was same as NLNG's; both the Verbal Reasoning & the Numerical Reasoning sections had the same questions repeated, word for word, figure for figure. I don't know whether all these Oil firms are in the same league with their recruitment questions undecided

Does that mean that I must pass the test huh Sincerely, I was more prepared for NLNG than for this.
Unlike with NLNG where I finished all the questions, I could not even finish my maths! undecided
And there was this candidate seated next to me who was not only distracting me with his 'copykat' antics, he went as far as kicking my leg to alert me that my hand was covering my answer script! angry angry angry
I almost released a back-hand slap angry I don't like when I'm hussling for 'Groundnut', someone cannot only copy quietly but noisily, distracting me from thinking well & reducing my own speed angry I realised that I was in public, hence I comported myself and managed him.

The only difference between Mobil's test format and that of NLNG was an Abstract Reasoning section with shapes that looked like insanity sad
And for some insane moments, Opoks! was struggling to answer as many insane questions as possible sad
I wonder when companies would learn to reserve those abnormal questions for those who do not think normally and the normal questions for normal minds huh huh
The frustration I felt was written all over my face embarassed At various times, I held my head, two ears, squinted my eyes, made desperate faces to the invigilators, breathed hard, almost turned my question paper upside down just to reason in line with the insanity spread out before me embarassed

As much as I circled my options, I strongly sensed within me that they might be wrong but had little options as the rest of the options were looking like voodoo shocked shocked shocked
I managed 31 questions out of 40 in that section.
I only hope that my answers are insanely correct embarassed

Should I then go and start another thread; Which Way Mobil Producing? by Opoks!
Lai! lai!! I no get that kain time this year o!. sad
Keeping up with Which Way NLNG? took its toll on me shakes head
Let them start the thread, grow it, suffer what we suffered and God-willing, when the successful letters start arriving, I may drop in like the Tombris, Biolabees, Johnsonlaws, Abonohais, Skeelolos et al and start shouting eureka! cheesy
I wrote that same test opoks and i cannot agree with you more, but as abonormal as the questions where, if its meant to be it will be. I have written worse tests and passed. So don't ignore the God factor, I heard the cut off marks are mind blowing though, crazily high, but like i said God dey!!!

You never know about that thread, wait till you pass and who knows we might be meeting somewhere else soon.

Anniwil:
yeah cutesy nice of u to reply, part of the restructuring is that the shell companies in Nigeria.SNEPCO,SPDC and SNG are coming together under a project they call ONE SHELL.so effective April,i believe there may no more be this SNEPCO,SPDC or other arms of Shell but a single unit SHELL,the other is that prior to now it appears the different arms' departments have been having their offices duplicated,so the plan is to ensure this is not to be.Also some staff,I don't really know the number as well as contractors(be aware that for every staff in shell, there are about 70 contractors)are being retired majorly because they have exceeded 25yrs and others for repeated technical incompetence.Well,i guess the overall effect of this is that some offices may need hands but these hands may need to learn fast on the job, hence the new stream of SITP trainees to fit in.,For u who was invited u need not bother as your space is there after successful completion of the program, remember your entry status IS AS A STAFF ON TRAINING,so except u fail out,you will pass in.Our only prayer is that this incessant bursting of pipelines and loss of production per day should stop,it's really spoiling things. So much for now,we may see when u arrive Edjeba n if u still want to know more feel free to ask, for now,i gotta go get down to my moduluminous modules.later.
Thanks for the information Anniwil, nice one man

To all shell hopefuls in the house goodmorning, have a blessed week ahead and keep the faith alive.

Congrats once again to all those who have already crossed the border line, kudos to you all.

@scoobydoo i have no idea when the medicals are scheduled to end, i think you should just keep praying and waiting for you email to come. All the best sha.

I guess yall should be hopeful, because from the news nowadays the Downstream sector is getting back to better working conditions therefore companies will employ more staffat least the WARRI refinery is back, and i agree with Robbie Lex that SHELL will employ young staff and pay less than keep the bigger boysand still get d job done.
Good luck yall.

CareerRe: Best Place To Start A Career? by RobbieLex: 4:08pm On Jan 24, 2008
When i was still in college i had the same ideology as most people here have, that to become a great person or be more exposed and knowledgable you should start your career in a consulting firm and then move to oil and gas or wherever, i believed working the bank was redundant kind of work. Infact back in the day my slogan was " Accenture or nothing"

I like to think i am a little wiser now, and i have realised something that has changed my orientation it has helped me in my job search and even during interviews i have attended and to sharpen my career goals.

Work itself is redundant, no matter how challenging a job may be someday the challenge will become a routine, What i am saying in effect that the one thing that will make you you and make you excel in your career is you. It pays to get on the job experience but the truth is you learn what you want to learn and become who you decide to become.

If you want to excel in your career wherever you are be it in a bank or in consulting, you have to make an effort to develop your self personally, alot of people spend their days job hopping without developing themselves.

Books, people underestimate the power of reading and becoming smart, the biggest financial and economic gurus spend most of their time reading and reading and reading, you want to learn strategy then study strategy, practical experience is good and it helps but it will not make you excel, its what you have up there that will lead you. My mentor is a force to reckon with in his industry of specialisation, his background will shock the whole lot of you, where he has worked will shock you even more, yeah its a multinational but its just not the sort of place you think you can learn so much. Yet when he talks, bankers, oil workers, consultants all listen to him, you should see the size of his library.

If you think a company will build you,.then you are in for big disappointment, its not really where but what you do with where you find yourself that matters, be it Shell, Accenture, a bank, if you are good you will stand out from your peers and shine, everybody has their own individual career path to take, find it and don't try to follow other peoples paths.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Please Advice by RobbieLex: 3:11pm On Jan 24, 2008
Roven, i do not think you need to study a particular course to get a better job, it really depends on what you want to do or what industry you want to go into, then from there you can decide to do a course related to that industry. For example if you're interested in finance you could consider ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CIS, and i think theres a long list of those.

If you are intersted in I.T there are so many exams you can do, the same goes for personal management, secetarial work, advertising,

I think the question you really need an answer to is a personal one, which is what do i want to do and where do i see myself going, take out sometime to think about the things you like and feel you will enjoy doing and from there God willing picking out professional exams will not be too much trouble.

All the best Roven,

Cheers

didn't you guys see the guardian report? there is a major shake up in shell and its not unconnected to the militant activities in the region.
how do we expect a company loosing income to recruit more staff and pay heavily?
the only luck we could get is being exploited,
really think about it, shell would rather lay the heavily experienced hands and employ newbies like ourselves and pay less with some other incentives missing. but we would accept since we seem jobless and in the end get paid like banks do pay.
I wonder too my brother, but i guess people are more concerned with getting in to bother about whats happening inside the company, differnet strokes for different folks i guess

i do not think we will be exploited or paid like bankers either, Shell has cost problems so i guess to them its only natural to reduce the staff especially if they feel too many people are occupying similar positions, and then hire other people who will cost them less,i doubt if incentives will be missing but i dunno shaaaa I'm not a shell staff, YET, LOL

i wouldn't define that as exploitation, its just downsizing or rightsizing, and it happens everywhere, i don't think Shell would have set out to do this if they were not having serious problems, whats happening in shell is just an offshoot of whats happening in Nigeria, it's just sad thats all, especially considering the number of people losing their jobs.

Anniwil:
A major restructuring is taking place in Shell now and this is affecting the organisational structure, let me not bore u with the details
Yeah i also wouldn't mind being bored with the details, i think its important to know exactly whats happening in shell. I'm curious, does New organisational structure mean new culture, new traditionshuh are things like time of promotion been readdressed, whats the new company policy like??

A pity my interview is over, these are questions i would have loved to clarify from my interviewers, hint hint you guys going for SRD soon, please find out these things and let us know ohhh,

onavae:
hmm! well let me start by saying sorry for my long absence. i have not had internet access for the past one week. meanwhile, it seems so much has happened since my last post. some people don even do their medical test finish! Na wah o.

I sincerely thank God for everyone that has been invited so far, and i say a very big CONGRATULATIONS!!! to u. things can only get better for you.

I also thank God for those that were not invited, afterall, God knows best and of course. Lets keep praying that this disappointment will only lead to greater strenght, blessings and divine favour, amen.

On my knees, i pray to God for those of us still waiting for our e-mails, that the mails will not be disappointing ones and that shell will be our portion in Jesus name, Amen.

well, na to still de wait now. no be till 29th? oya now, the wait is on! only say each time i think of opening my box, hypertension go wan burst my heart. May God save me from this excruiciating, frustrating and hypertensive wait, in Jesus name, Amen.
Onavae glad to have you back, it's been wayyyyyyy to long, and its mighty good to have you back!!! I'm praying for you, and i know God's will will be done in your life. Please find out from your seemingly accurate sources about this new shell reorganisation, i just think it's good to keep myself abreast of whats going on in my potential office, wink

Hi all,
I am in a very tight state because of 5 people in my group,4 people have been contacted except myself.of the four people, 3 people made it and 1 did not.
The people that made it were called at different time. The first got his mail on the 17th, the second got hers on Monday, and the third got hers today. The only one that didn't made it got her mail on Thursday, 17th last week. I don't understand while shell will be sending mail in batches and giving people unnecessary blood pressure.
Is it that they've contacted all those that didn't made it or they will still send disappointment email?
well I'm still waiting and hoping I get a good mail from Shell
Theres a very very strong possibility that you made it ohhh, because generally from my experience they always contact the people with bad news first or earlier than the ones with good news, then they contact the people with good news, and if there are people they are still considering then it may take a while for those ones to hear from them, usually they contact them last with either good news or bad news, it's possible they are still considering you, or like a lot of people have said maybe its in batches, whichever ways, not hearing anything is a sign to keep praying my brother, God dey.

Excellent Commentary Robie Lex !
Thanks
TV/MoviesRe: What Kind Of Movie Do You Want Nigerians To Make? by RobbieLex: 3:14pm On Jan 22, 2008
I don't think the genre of a movie really matters, if it did how will you explain a grown man watching cartoons, lol.
Generally people will always have their preferences to movies, for example I'm a die hard "who dunnit"type of thriller fan so naturally every one on this thread will give a type of movie they would like to see, be it epic, romance, horror, adventure,

I don't think Nollywood has a money problem, infact i  believe big budget movies shouldn't be done in Nigeria for a while, Surprisedhuhwell i just do not believe  the audience is ready, film watching is like dating, there's a period of the chase and the period of the shakara, before romance begins. I think nollywood got tired of the chase in the days of the first few films that were made, when we the expecting audience eyed nollywood from afar wondering and chattering about it,  now the norm in nollywood is to do really bad movies and shove it down our throats.
, it's going to take a lot of wooing and chasing and flirting to get them back,  and the best way to do that is with
good medium and small budget movies that will gradually make the audience have faith in nollywood.

Storylines aren't  the problem either, honestly most amercian movies are kind of cliche if you ask me.
Theres the typical boy meets girl kind of story, the lets save the world from mass destruction kind of story, the conspiracy kind of of story where its the last person you expect that's the killer, honestly i can't remember the last foreign movie i watched and didn't know what was going to happen in the end, the key thing in movies is not what you tell but how you tell it,  it doesn't matter if people can predict the story just take them through an unforgettable journey till they reach the end.

There are two major senses at work when you're watching a movie, your eyes and your ears. The audience takes in everything, the things they see and what they hear. If you want people to connect to your movie then you have to connect to their eyes and their ears by feeding them with the right kind of things that will make your characters believable.

The truth is people do not really identify with the characters in the Nigerian movies, Directors, writers, the whole nollywood making lot do not pay attention to details,

in movies everything matters, from the colour of the rug to the books on the shelves, in a movie nothing is meant to be there by accident, everything on the screen builds the character,  too much detail can kill your character by making them fake, (this is now being splashed across most Nigerian sitcoms and soaps, where everything is over done, )

There is no such thing as a villain in a movie, villains belong in fairytales,
people have their reasons for being bad and a good movie will show it, we never fall in love with the bad guys in Nigerian movies because they are unreal, they just do not exist, but i have a thing for Lex luther even though he is the cause of mayham in smallville, Bad guys can be sexy and good girls can be irritating, a good movie will show that.
I want to be able to choose who i like in a movie, not be told who to like, this is the bad guy, this is the good girl, with movies my eyes and ears should tell me what to choose, there are no rules,

And that takes me down to words, where the Nigerian problem originates from, words aka dialouge, since words build the characters, then the wrong words will lead to badly portrayed characters, badly portrayed characters will lead to bad acting, and bad acting = bad movie,

I think screen writing is probably the hardest type of writing, with prose it's easy to tell your reader what a character is feeling with movies you only have words and very few words at that.
A screenwriter has to be able to write with his eyes and his ears, he should be able to transform the thoughts and feelings of the character into words, words that will make me believe this person is real and not an actress. The right words remove the actress from the actress and instead i see the character in the actress, suddenly I'm not watching Omotola or RMD, but I'm watching this character who has a story to tell,

I'm still yet to watch one movie with this very simple but always absent qualities, in an attempt to achieve greatness in Nollywood we forget the important little details,  I don't need to see one million cars to know a man is rich, little things like his watch, his dress sense, even the book he is reading can tell me who he is,

Some directors have come close, like Tunde kelani for example, even Amaka Igwe isn't bad at all,
excuse my harshness but i am a natural critic, it would have been my alternate career choice if such existed,

Nollywood has promise has good story's, but the emphasis shouldn't be on big budgets of twisted stroy lines but should be on the foundation, remember , the eyes and the ears!!!

Cheers

ohhhh i think they have started calling people for interviews,
i heard someone has been called, and from what i hear Mobil doesn't send the usual "sorry you didn't pass" sort of mails so if you don't hear anything after a while you just have to let go,

I don't know specifically if they have called everyone they want, just that i know this one person who had interviews scheduled and all, so it doesn't hurt to still have hope that they might call you, grin

As we are battling and praying to get in many people right now are praying to stay in, it's sad whats happening, but i guess the Niger delta crises has really affected their production levels and they have to cut costs, today it is shell tomorrow it could be another oil company having this problem ( God forbid), this oil palaver will definitely have a multiplier effect on Nigeria's economy, the job market is already taking a hit here, really if there is no job security in oil and gas, ( which we all know is virtually the hotcake in Nigeria at the moment) i wonder what will happen,

I guess that's why there is the constant cry for a solution to the ongoing Niger delta crises, and a constant need to pray for our country!

i read in another article also in the guardian newspaper (PENGASSAN cautions SHELL on planned workers strike)that restructuring may take till April, meaning we fin/hr guys might not be called anytime soon for medicals,
sad sad sad sad sad, so it may be a very very longgggg wait!

When are you sitp guys starting your traininghuh were you told anything about it? someone let me know OK
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 11:45am On Jan 22, 2008
Very interesting piece from the guardian newspaper, thought you all might want to see this

Government queries restructuring in Shell
By Yakubu Lawal, Yetunde Ebosele and Taiwo Hassan

PLANS by the Anglo-Dutch oil giant, Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), to sack many of its Nigerian employees in what it calls a re-structuring exercise may have earned the company a summon from the Federal Government.

There are indeed suspicions that the said restructuring might be a ploy to ease out Nigerians from the system and replace them with expatriates.

The restructuring, sources say, might also not be unconnected with losses incurred by the oil firm through militant activities in the Niger Delta.

. The government has directed the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to demand justification for the exercise, which will throw many Nigerians into the Labour market and make nonsense of the Nigerian content for the petroleum industry.

Already, the NNPC has instructed its upstream supervisory body - National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) - to call a meeting before the end of this week to seek explanation on some grey areas in the re-structuring exercise which government feels is recurring too frequently from the Shell group in Nigeria.

Sources at the Ministry of Energy in Abuja told The Guardian that the management of the NNPC had written a memo to the Minister of State for Petroleum, Mr. Odein Ajumogobia, over the issue and that it also met last week Friday to deliberate on the issue.

It was also gathered that the management of NAPIMS has severally requested Shell boss, Mutiu Sunmonu, to justify the planned restructuring but all the explanations given were not satisfactory to the agency.

The Guardian source said among the issues that would be on the agenda for this week's meeting between the NNPC and Shell are:

That Shell must submit all the names of the expatriate staff that are affected in this exercise as well as their Nigerian counterpart;

Nigerians had occupied some positions for years and therefore seek justification for bringing an expatriate to occupy the positions at the expense of qualified Nigerians in Shell group;

that Shell should explain the concept of "common services" in the re-organisation exercise as the company's Joint Venture Operation (JV) as well as Production Sharing Contract (PSC) which falls under different fiscal regime or contract with the government; and

the government will also want to know from Shell management how the severance package, which has not been approved by all the partners in the joint operation, would be funded, particularly whether it is part of this year's JV budget.
The Guardian source noted that there are so many other issues that the company had not resolved with the government before embarking on this action, stressing that as a company operating a joint venture business, Shell needs government's approval through NNPC or NAPIMS before executing any project.

Shell's spokesperson, Mr. Precious Okolobo, sent the following e-mail to The Guardian yesterday in response to enquiries on the matter.

The Guardian: Will all categories of staff (Nigerian and expatriate) be affected in the re-organisation?

Okolobo: Yes.

The Guardian: We understand those who will be asked to leave are being offered 'juicy packages' - how will you fund these payments?

Okolobo: We are committed to following all the legal requirements and contractual agreements associated with any release of personnel and we will honour such obligations. Beyond this, we are unable to provide details of individual agreements, as these are covered by confidentiality obligations.

The Guardian: Did you get approval from the government before embarking on the exercise?

Okolobo: Our SPDC JV partners have been informed. Their companies already tend to operate as a single entity in the country.

In the background information attached, Okolobo explained that the re-organisation was to enhance efficiency and accountability and reduce costs by taking advantage of synergies and eliminating duplication by reorganising the core business functions and the provision of support services between the three companies - The Shell Petroleum Development Company LTD (SPDC), Shell Exploration and Production Africa (SEPA) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) into one integrated organisation under a project called 'One Shell'.

The Guardian however gathered that the letters of termination of appointment would be served to affected employees from the first week of March.

Besides, The Guardian gathered that majority of those to be affected would be mostly from support departments such as administrative, public affairs, logistics and others while those found to be incompetent would be affected in core operational

areas.

"The final list is almost ready. The management is in the process of fine-tuning the list and also seeking the understanding of the senior partner and the industry regulatory body. They may go ahead with the plan under the guise of anticipatory approval," the source said.

Besides, the source disclosed that talks are currently on between the various Labour unions and management on necessary compensations to accrue to affected staff.

"Shell, due to massive loss incurred as a result of the continued violence in the Niger Delta had actually decided to reduce its staff strength from last year but series of persuasion had delayed the process till now.

Only about one quarter of the people on Shell's pay roll are actual staff while majority are engaged on contractual basis. So, in essence, only a few of its key staffer would be affected by the purge.

Shell has over the last three years been losing about 650,000 barrels of crude per day due to the facility shut-in occasioned by militant activities in the Niger Delta region.

Miketomi i doubt if state of origin is the basis for inviting people for medicals, they could even be doing it alphabetically, according to performance or even randomly, i don't think the order in which they invite is important, whats important is being shortlisted in the first place, i know your anxious but just keep praying OK,

Thanks KDB for keeping the house informed, we really appreciate that, grin grin grin grin we'll be meeting up soon in shell where i can thank you properly, Lol

Tonix88 i don't know if anyone has been invited from last week interviews, but i heard there was supposed to be a ten day waiting period sooo just relax I'm sure they'll soon contact you with information.

Lets keep the faith alive people.

So another week has begun, i am beginning to notice some people have been absent from the thread for a while, anyway I'm praying with the lot of you, What is meant for you will be for you.

I think that's something we should all take note of:no matter how painful it may seem, lets move from the realm of what we want to what God wants in our lives, meaning that we should trust God no matter the consequences

it may seem that he doesn't answer prayers especially when we don't get the things we want the most but the truth is he just sees a whole lot clearer than we do,

for all those who didn't make it i think now is the time to get even closer to God, that may seem very painfully odd especially when it feels like having faith didn't work

but I believe the uncertainty of life, not knowing what may happen tomorrow and the disappointments we get should even draw us closer to him, he sees and knows the answer to that question we ask in the dark so many times ( WHY?)

For all those who have made it, {and i say this with a very wide smile plastered on my face}, its the beginning of another journey, another road of desires, wants and needs, hold on to God and don't lose sight of him in your life, you're gonna need him even more, when you're praying for that promotion or that raise,

For those still hopeful, key in to the testimony of others and have faith because God can still do it for you,

Lets all remember that He has our future mapped out, even if it may not seem like a fantastic map from our point of view but hey be reassured that in spite of a few bumps here and there you will get to the end of the road, your destiny! as long as you hold on to Him.

Cheers guys and have a sensational week, and don't be strangers drop a note once or twice, wink

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by RobbieLex: 1:54pm On Jan 16, 2008
Summary : Its not about where you go to but about where God takes you,

Kuwena, its amazing the way my feelings towards you change daily, one minute i admire you, the next I'm mad at you
, now i must say i kinda understand the way you feel,

all i can say is, make your plans, explore your options, if you want to leave Nigeria in search for something else do it, it seems to be something you have dreamed about for years and i believe every man has the right to pursue his dreams.

They are your dreams kuwena not mine or anyone else's on nairaland so don't expect anyone else to understand them, i don't think you need to get into fights with people over that jare, trust me my friends find it hard to understand the millions of thoughts and ideas that constantly waltz through my mind everyday, LOL

, i think you are a great writer,i love the way you translate feelings into words, who knows all these your emotions channeled in the right direction could fetch you millions,

Just don't leave God out of the equation,I've been mad at God too before, not such a long time ago, fine i may not have openly said all those things you said and i did not stop believing in religion but deep inside i felt he had failed me, but it was also a very lonely time of my life too

being a Christian is a lifetime commitment Kuwena, sometimes we have testimonies and other times there's alot of pain and hurt but we learn everyday, and i think this phase of your life is just a learning process too, Chill out, the lesson may be hard but don't drop the class, honestly i think God is the only one who can fill that emptiness you have inside if you give him a chance,
