Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 3:51pm On Dec 04, 2007
Rati ken are you still waiting to be called for the interview?
if you received a mail saying you were successful at the test then i think you should still expect an invitation for interview,
if you did receive a mail why don't you try calling up one of the numbers there to ask for more information about it rather than just waiting, but i'm sure they'll call you for the interview but dont just sit there call them and ask whats going on.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Exxonmobil Test: No Nysc But I Was Invited by RobbieLex: 9:49am On Dec 04, 2007

Hmmm vigorous thank you for the vigorous info, heheheheheheheehe

seems a likely figure shaaa,

hope your interview wasnt too vigorous, (sorry i am going on and on about your vigorous I.D its just too irresistable, LOL)

so have the srd interviews rounded up completely? and when exactly did your facilitator tell you medical invites will be sent?we have already figured out it'll probabrly be in december or something but nothing's concrete yet, would be a perfect christmas gift though, my shell medical invitation letter another step closer to that shell job of mine,

Wish you all shell hopefuls in the house special christmas gifts wrapped in special email messages, that will tell you you just got your dream jobs, (hope that came out right, )

Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Is Becoming Of Narialand Forum? by RobbieLex: 3:33pm On Dec 03, 2007
i actually laughed when i read this,
it was obviously just meant to be a joke and i think the best response would have been either to ignore him or play along,

Really there is little you can do about this sort of thing in a public forum where everybody keeps their identities hidden behinde masks of false names, thats why its public and thats why its nairaland jare, there are all sorts of people here

if you post a question and someone creates a joke out of it post it again, hopefully one of the serious minded sorts will answer you back,

Cheer up and don't let it get to you it's not that big a deal.

Cheers

Did you apply for IT or CP? and when is your test date scheduled, ?

Anyway to answer your question i think Mobil does the basic oil company tests format which is pshycometric testing and all that, you could try www.shl.com to see some examples of pshycometric tests. All the best man and hit me up with the info.

Cheers

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 2:15pm On Nov 28, 2007
No problem Onavae, always ready to be of help

Rati Ken i thought you had been interviewed already and waiting for medicals,
anyway where did you write your apitude test? Was it in warri or portharcourt?
All the best anyway - i'm sure you'll soon be called
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 9:49am On Nov 28, 2007
Hmmm Onavae,
Let me wish you success in advance first of all, God who has taken you this far will be faithful to complete his work in you.
Generally i would advise you rest alot before your interview and relax very well. I think you must have gotten a hand out  from shell ( they should have sent it to you in your box) i hope you read it, because as little as it seems it gives a whole lot of info about what shell's looking for in their propspective employees.

I can't exactly tell you word for word what we were asked because  there were documents to go through and though i remember  them vaguely i don't have photographic memory, and i don't even know if it'll be appropriate to tell you if i remembered.

BUT i can give you tips that i think will be helpful.

For the case study interview be fast when you are going through your documents and jot  down necessary points as you see them, because you will not have time to go back.
Try to see the bigger picture of things, whatever you are given to analyse always think on a larger perspective.
When you are presenting be relaxed, i think they take note of your composure, remember you are role playing so make sure you role play well, even if you don't have answers to questions still be relaxed,

For the group interview, you should try to show your ability to be a leader while at the same time allow your group members talk, don't interupt people and try to listen to what other people have to say.

Here is where i stop because i think for technical SITP folks did something else so i cannot give you any tips there.

But generally smile alot and have funnnn, see that day i decided i was going to enjoy myself that day and i think if you have that mindset you'll be able to relax a whole lot more.

All the best in your interview once again, and let us know how it went,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 8:53am On Nov 27, 2007
Hmmm where did you all spring from,
thrilled there are so many shell hopefuls in the house,

2good are the people your friends knows SITP or for hr/fin? you should clarify that and let us know

Didi cee do you know if hr/fin people are still being interviewed?

Majikprof, please extend your well wishes to us none SITP people cry, we are all in this race together ohhh, LOL
hmm well like i said before 120 or 20 i will be on that list, I tap into that unrelenting fiath of yours majik and i know it shall be well, Feb seems like a swell time to start of, grin grin grin

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 12:02pm On Nov 26, 2007
okay

let me see first like i said i am not for sitp but for hr/finance,
exactly one week after my interview three of my group memebers where contacted with bad news, and this was about a month ago

My friend who was invited for medicals is for hr/finance

as for Sitp i dont think they have contacted any of them atall, bad or good news but i do not know for sure,
i think yet to be contacted people should be hopeful cos well i have not been contacted either and i have hope in God. As for the interviews i belive they should be over this month but i really do not know for sure.

the people you say you know are they for hr/fin or sitp? if they are for hr/fin and have not heard anything they should be hopeful and i belive the same applies for sitp folks tooo

Hope this answers your questions
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by RobbieLex: 11:51am On Nov 26, 2007
Sorry if i sound really harsh or mean, considering i did not go through the NLNG plight, but i think KUWENA is the most selfish person i have ever met, and i can tell you i have met alot of selfish people, i actually had an eyebrow raised when i read your last post (which i do on rare occasions considering how difficult it is to raise one eyebrow at a time) and when i was done i just smiled,

i just want to say goodluck on your anti religion journey, i hope you enjoy yourself, but i think before you begin to browse through your list of new religious  textbooks you need to study the bible a little bit more and understand it,

If because of NLNG you have chosen to renounce Jesus then i guess you never really knew him in the first place, you probably thought he was a magician,

Sorry if thats what you thought then you definitely got the wrong guy,  Jesus is not someone from a fairytale; someone who would puff all your problems away and make sure you live happily ever after on earth, Jesus never promised us a bed of roses, but he promised us that he'll be there with us through the holy spirit when times get rough and most importantly he promised us eternal life, i mean thats like the basis of Christianity everyother thing you seek on earth is just a means to an end,

You sit there with your intercontinental job saying " God has not done any thing for me", but what have you done for God? People your age and younger are in remote parts of the world preaching and winning souls for Christ, people like you get killed for Jesus daily, you need to listen to their stories,
do you know how some of the disciples died? do you know how many people have died so you can even open your mouth to praise God to mention even hold a bible in your arms, (sorry to say this but you remind me of a five year old child throwing a tantrum, my mother always says ignore him, he's just seeking attention)

i advise while you do your new religious research you research and study psalm 23 the psalm we recite morning and night and take for granted,

Jesus is not looking for spectators, people who are after what they can get from him he wants soldiers, people who will not defect the minute the battle gets tough, people who love him for who he is,

Please Kuwena do me a favour and stop posting these silly annoying  things here,i have always enjoyed this thread especially early in the morning and i think God used you to start this thread to inspire people, sadly you have chosen not to finish what you started, does that story sound familiar so many people started out right with God and ended up falling, the question is how long will  you stay down? that is entirely your choice,

How does God put up with us? i find myself asking sometimes, Kuwena whatever you do or say he'll still forgive you thats why he is your father and not me, if you were my son!!!!! i dunno what i would i have done to you, but pleaseeeeeeee even if you don't want to continue in the race do not and i beg you put out the fire you started in the lives of others,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 9:06am On Nov 26, 2007
yeah, Tosat is right i don't think sitp folks have gotten any feedback positive or negative, but some hr/fin folks have gotten negative feedback except one person who has gotten positive feedback,

me too i have claimed that i'll be one of the 120 or even if nah 50, whatever the number is, i think srd will end this month, but i dont know for sure, lets all keep praying and hope for the best, was anybody in the house interviewed in the garden city?

Kamasi, i think you have to give subomi a break, making comments on this forum isnt exactly part of her job description smiley, she was nice enough to reply a couple of times so i think we should be satisfied with that for now, just keep your fingers crossed i am sure your interview will be rescheduled in no time,

yeah reginol i have heard the same alder praise before, people say its a really great place to work,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 9:12am On Nov 21, 2007

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 1:26pm On Nov 20, 2007
i am so sorry ranbaxy was busy and dint even notice you had posted something, no the person i know that was contacted for medicals didnt do sitp but did hr/fin which i also did, but thats the only person i know that has been contacted with positive news so far, everybody else just has negative news so far, three people in my group were contacted with negative news and my friend is the only one i know has gotten positive news, well like i said lets all keep praying jare it is well, i also did mine in october and have not heard anything yet sooo, God dey
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Recruitment Day [srd] Info by RobbieLex: 8:52am On Nov 20, 2007
theres a thread on shell the next generation we kinda started that to keep track of things so you can post there
so far i knowthat its people have failed that have been contacted but a friend of mine got invited for medicals last week so i don't really know, when was your interview and are you for sitp or the managerial (hr/fin)?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 3:29pm On Nov 19, 2007
sometime in june or july thats when i applied, the test was in august and interviews were in october/november,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 3:26pm On Nov 19, 2007
well as at this morning i thought the same thing, since i had my interview towards the end of october and all that, but i really do not know sha, some people have gotten negative feedback even some people from my group but i hadnt heard anything positive until today from my friend who got invited for medicals, but anyway ltes keep our fingers crossed, i'm sure it's being done in batches sha, though its the hr/finance one i know about, but i think its the same time frame and all that cos sitp and the hr/finance interviews were running simultaneously, all i can say is let us pray
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 2:34pm On Nov 19, 2007
hey guys a friend of mine got invited for medicals about a week ago, i just heard, has anybody heard the same about anybody they know?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by RobbieLex: 11:53am On Nov 19, 2007
Kuwena,
do not abandon those who love you now when you need them the most- your brother who has been there with you from day one , your fiance who probarbly loves you to pieces and your fellow nairalanders who see you as a brother,

geez you have really inspired me on this thread though i'm not an NLNG hopeful i have enjoyed reading your posts, like Opoks said Joseph went through all kinds of things to get to where God had destined for him,

But you know these things already don't you (you could quote the whole bible with your eyes closed) ,i belive  you are a strong man and i know you will get over this in no time, just make sure you hold on to God,

Opoks you've got a really great sense of humor, and i admire that you still haven't lost it even with this minor hiccup, the way i see it you'll look back in a bit at this thread and smile when you remember the time when nlng was so important to you,

Goodluck to you all, nlng or not i hope you guys will keep the fire of this thread burning atleast for a little bit longer, its been exciting and inspiring,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 11:28am On Nov 19, 2007
i have kind of been following the nlng thread, even though i am not exactly an nlng hopeful and i really felt sorry for those who did not get called, after a whole year of waiting anxiously and all that, i do not think that was really fair though to keep people waiting so long and then drop them in the cold without even letting them know anything,

I think shell is more professional when it comes to that atleast they will eventually let you know your fate, lets all just pray that we make it, but no matter how it turns out lets all never forget that God always knows best!!!!!!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by RobbieLex(op): 11:14am On Nov 19, 2007
oh the people i know got contacted are for the hr/ finance thing, don't know about SITP though, i do not think SITP folks have gotten any feedback yet, hmmmm lets all just keep praying.

So i guess at this point we should all keep our fingers crossed and keep praying that when we finally do receive our mails it will be an invitation for medicals,
