Well, since a lot of people have been asking...
A friend wanted to start a radio rock music countdown show in Nigeria and wanted a name for it. As his smart-arse friend lol, plus a big time rock buff, I was asked for suggestions. I offered a whole lottt of them which included Rockdom, Rocking Da Clock, Rote Rocking, Rockstream, Rocktation, Rockafellas, Rocking Mill, Rock World...He really liked Rocktation (as I did) because it was borne from the word rotation and it kind of links with the rotatory format by which rock hits would be making the countdown. Sadly though, he went and discussed all the options with his other crew members and for some reason, they settled for Rockstream. So there, you also now know how that Rockstream show on Unilag fm in Lagos got its name.
But then again, I didn't really give much thought to my username before I signed up on here. I was just too much in a hurry to give my opinion on a thread I came across for lovers of rock music.

Dejie, no disrespect intended but you've always seemed to have this tendency of running faster than your legs can carry you. You should be careful cos America is not like Lagos. Any small irregularities in abiding with the law can land you in serious trouble. You've heard the dude say that it'd take only about a month to get the SSN and greencard, so why not use this little time to relax and be familiar with your neighbourhood after the stress and long flight from Nigeria? Cos believe me you, you'll be begging for time to rest when you eventually start working. I suggest that you try for befitting jobs that usually only come with greencards and social security numbers. Unless of cos, you're suspecting that you'll be totally broke on arrival, which is not advisable at all.

Yeah, the FRN marriage certificate is the only recognised kind at the embassy. And this is given by only very recognised big churches like the Catholic church, Anglican and maybe the headquarters of some pentecostal churches. This is how it works, the marriage registry gives these churches the right to give out these certificates, but not before a certain kind of permit is collected at the registry by intending couples. That way, they keep records of the number/whatever of people getting married. There's no way you can get that from just any road-side church. I suggest that your friend and her husband (or not?) go back to the headquarter and demand for it or consider re-marriage at someplace more worthy.
