mployer: Answer the question. If election didn't hold, will there be power vacuum or will the tenure of sitting president be extended?
Every constitution have provisions for situations like this.
The constitution is clear on what to do when elections can't hold(When the nation is at a state of war and is occupied by a foreign power). Elections have held and a winner declared. Buhari leaves on May 29th. You're just disgracing yourself with your ignorance.
Had it been a straight fight between BAT and Atiku, the religion and ethnicity consideration which gave considerable votes to Obi would not have worked for Atiku. In fact, clamor for return of power to the south would have resonated more and favor Tinubu far more. BAT would win such contest far more easily.
UnabashedIPOB: Nah! Do NOT run away from a simple question. You know it's very easy to make generalized false assertions but very difficult to be specific when confronted. People say, Mr. Ekpa is a terrorist because that's very easy to say but when confronted to exactly prove their point, they tend to run away and prevaricate. So, tell me, not just parroting what your Fulani government wants you to say and believe, who has Mr. Ekpa terrorized? I find it funny that none of you COWARDS would speak the truth and confront your government for using their Fulani foot soldiers (Fulani herdsmen) to terrorize all of you but would NOT blink an eye to spread their false narratives. All of you need to be ashamed of yourselves. Just because you call him a terrorist does NOT make him a terrorist. The rest of the civilized world knows it's nothing but propaganda and cheap blackmail.
UnabashedIPOB: Oh Really? Who did he terrorize? Or do you just want to espouse the narrative of your failed government and help disseminate its propaganda and cheap a$$ blackmail? That you repeat the same FALSE narrative over and over does NOT make it true!
PDP really messed up by allowing Peter Obi to leave their fold. They underestimated his value in the party's traditional strongholds and they paid for it. Atiku would have been president today but for the Obidient insurgency
Ofunaofu: "This then begets the question: is it just, reasonable and sensible to argue that a candidate who, for instance, won 36 States of the Federation and also polled the highest number of votes cast at an election but failed to score 25% of the votes cast in FCT, Abuja cannot be deemed the winner of the election? I think not. That would not be just, reasonable and sensible."
This argument doesn't hold water, infact it is a very silly argument and can only come from the camp of the APC who are at the moment caught up with the law.
If someone can be so popular to the extent of winning the entire 36 state, getting 25% in the FCT Abuja shouldn't be difficult because those who live in FCT Abuja are Nigerians who should be in tune with the popularity of the said candidate
Peter Obi's case will be thrown to the dustbin where it belongs and life will go on under a Tinubu presidency
Everyone knows which tribe the real image killers come from. Not a single day goes by without them destroying our image with their drug dealing activities
Eazzii: Okay. I've this burden on my chest for over a year now and they say a problem shared is a problem half solved (or multiplied)
So, I've this friend who lives with a woman and her little son. He and the lady are of the same age group. The husband, who is in the US is fully aware of this situation. Note: they stay in the same room and even sleep on the same bed. Also this guy's family house is just a stone's throw from the lady's house but he hardly ever visits there and hasn't passed a night there in over 4 years. If you're new to the area, you'll be forgiven if you address them as man and wife.
My main purpose of creating this thread is not to pass judgement on anybody but to seek your opinions. As a married man, will you be comfortable with your unmarried friend staying with your wife while you're overseas. As an unmarried guy, will you be comfortable living with your friend's wife.
Godspowerpro: GOD help us, a Pastor did same thing in 2020, after he called to ask and I confided in him about my Dad's health. He offered finance but all Glory to GOD we declined.
I was in church following Sunday when Pastor presented me as a wailing weakling And when I tried seeking his audience to correct that impression 'he became too busy'.
Do I need to add that my quality walk with GOD after leaving that 'company'
Follow what you read in the word of God and your conscience. Seek advice from your pastor when in doubt but make your decision based on your own inference. Remember God will not judge you with anyone else. God bless you
I'm eager to know if its wrong to confront a pastor, because all my life I hate going pastors for anything, something happened on Monday, I didn't know who else to talk to ....so I went to the alter to pray and met with my pastor, I explained what happened between my husband and I and he settled the matter sweetly . I was so happy to have peace and joy back in my marriage till yesterday (Saturday) pastor called me out of that plenty congregation and told d church everything including what my husband has been hiding for years, he even added more things that didn't even happen to the story😂. I was just quiet and respectful since I wasn't expecting him to behave like that.
He prayed for me and I just left, he started getting angry that I can't even praise for my healing me or dancing round, I was just shocked at everything happening I left to the backyard and later went in again.
Immediately I got home I told my husband how he's image has been tarnished in church for what he didn't do, we had a misunderstanding and pastor said he flogged me (that didn't happen)
Is it wrong to confront him.... Coz I will act like I'm going to testify and correct that wrong impression he said about my husband
Just one time experience with pastor is killing me like this
It's wrong to follow another human being blindly. I question everything. No human will tell me what to accept as truth
Johnthum: Peter Obi is a Role model to sane politicians in Nigeria.
When Peter Obi was the Governor of Anambra State, Tinubu was also the governor of lagos state. It may interest you to know that Peter Obi won the best Governor in Nigeria during their regime.
If Tinubu was better than Obi as his urchins normally say, why didn't he win the best governor in Nigeria, but it was given to Peter Obi.
Being a role model is the most powerful form of educating
This matter was decided by the supreme court in 1979 in a decision of a lawsuit brought by the late Obafemi Awolowo against the then president elect late Shehu Shagari. You can google the court's decision as it will guide the supreme court in it's ruling on the matter
