dotcodotuk: HATRED BLINDS!
A friend sat for his GCE decades ago. See pic. 1 for a COPY of his WAEC issued certificate. Several years later, he lost the original certificate. He swore to an affidavit in a court of law and applied for attestation of his results. WAEC verified his identification and issued an attestation which includes his then current passport photograph. See pic 2. My friend is lucky he had a copy of his certificate. If he hadn't, he would have only had to make do with a statement of result by his alma mater pending the issuance of the attestation by WAEC. By the way, this friend is a private Nigerian who has never been a local government councilor!
It is revealing of the danger we are facing as a country that people who, at the drop of a hat, will remind us of how 'educated', 'exposed', 'sophisticated', 'travelled' they are cannot reason better than my 'Maigadi' that doesn't have a primary school certificate. In spite of all their claims to 'education', they have zilch or only little understanding of administration and politics. No wonder someone, with a Teacher Training Certificate, the equivalent of no more than a GCE beat them with their 'PhDs' and they could only resort to killing the man! Their 'education' wasn't sufficient to counter his integrity, sincerity, love for his people and the wisdom he acquired from age-old time-tested and proven truisms.
May God save us from hatred. It renders any and all 'education' useless! Okay but try and protect your friend's privacy by blurring his name and face when you post things on the internet. There are alot of criminals who troll the internet looking for people's details these days |

But the whole 'whatever' of Adamawa, Former VP Millionaire Businessman Serial presidential contestant/serial failure Serial defector CANNOT visit the United States of America because he is a wanted criminal.
The morons should keep on atikulooting, But Nigeria will not become the first nation to have willingly democratically elected a wanted criminal as it's president. Look he's not a wanted criminal there, it's just that his money laundering activities were so frowned upon by the American authorities they refused to grant him a visa. That way you see they save themselves the embarrassment of a diplomatic row with Nigeria while keeping out a man they disapprove of from their country. Atilku is still a confirmed rouge |

BoneBlogger: The United States Embassy has reacted to clashes between members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and security operatives in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The US Embassy issued a statement on Thursday (today), calling for restraints from both sides. The statement read;
The United States Embassy is concerned by the deaths resulting from clashes between Nigerian security forces and members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria in areas surrounding Abuja. We urge Government of Nigeria authorities to conduct a thorough investigation of the events and to take appropriate action to hold accountable those responsible for violations of Nigerian law. We urge restraint on all sides.
The crisis first unfolded on Saturday as troops from the Army Headquarters Garrison at Zuba, Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, reportedly gunned down six followers of the sect. The Army, however, claimed responsibility for three deaths.
Since the clash at Zuba, there has been heavy security presence in all the major entry points into the city, in an attempt to restrain to sect.
The Shiite members kick started their annual Arbaeen symbolic trek on Sunday, which also served as cover for a protest march against the continued detention of their spiritual leader by the federal authorities, with the clashes happening throughout the three days of the march/protest which led to the loss of many lives.

gidgiddy: This is laughable. The Arewa youths must be very angry that Nnamdi Kanu, the man who refused to be a Caliphate slave, is still alive. They hoped that by killing Kanu, they will have "one Nigeria" forever(please note that "one Nigeria" is just another phrase for "Northern domination"
But the most laughable thing about this is that the people who put on the case don't actually care that the Nigerian Army commited grave military rascality and impunity by going to Nnamdi Kanu's house to open fire with no justification. What they care about is that Nnamdi Kanu was not abducted as claimed
Its a bit like thieves who went to a bank to rob. Instead of condemning that Bank robbery, someone is more interested that the amount stolen was not reported correctly We will still kill him the moment he steps foot on Nigerian soil. nimisola: Chile Eboe-Osuji, president of the International Criminal Court (ICC) says President Muhammadu Buhari is one of the most highly respected African statesmen of our time.
Speaking to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York earlier in the week, Eboe-Osuji expressed reverence for president Buhari, quoting him three times in his speech to the UN.
The speech, which was his first in his capacity as president of the ICC, was on the occasion of presenting the Court’s annual report to the United Nations for 2017/2018.
In a copy mailed by the ICC, Osuji made a case for the sustenance of the criminal court, despite opposition from President Donald Trump of the United States.
The ICC president said this year “marks the 20th Anniversary of the adoption of the Statute of the International Criminal Court, fondly called the Rome Statute”.
He stated that the ICC was created to serve as a conscience to humanity in her journey to and through civilisation.
“[The]Mindful[ness] that during [the 20th ] century [in which the Rome Statute was adopted] millions of children, women and men ha[d] been victims of unimaginable atrocities that deeply shock the conscience of humanity,” Eboe-Osuji said.
He went on to quote President Buhari as he made a case for the sustenance of the criminal court.
“One of the most highly respected African Statesmen of our time answered that question in a very straightforward way,” he said.
“As part of his own reflections during the 20th Anniversary of the Rome Statute in July, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari answered that question in these words: ‘With the alarming proliferation of the most serious crimes around the world, the ICC, and all that it stands for, is now needed more than ever, in ways that were unforeseeable to its founders’....
