And about what we produce, we produce shoes, it's on record that Aba produces one million pairs per annum, but the shoemaking industry is dying because of inability to import raw materials.
Small businesses are the worst hit because of inability to access goods from abroad.
Must you lick Buharis anus to realise that the health care industry is suffering because medical equipment, drugs and co cannot be brought in for immediate use. Must we wait until we develop cancer drugs before our patients can receive care?
Parents cannot pay for their wards abroad not because they cannot afford it but because a certain expired brain is making decisions, decisions he couldn't even defend on Al-Jazeera. One million shoes with made in Italy logo so who earns the dollars Nigeria or Italy? You should be ashamed to use Aba made shoes as example of what Nigeria produces. You all seems confused and don't like the truth, an average poor Nigerian doesn't need dollars to send his child to school abroad or seek medical attention abroad or drink hennesy only the rich do that and nobody stops the rich from spending their money just that Nigeria cannot afford to give them dollars for those purposes but we need to give dollars to those that went to bring in essential raw materials and equipments to grow out economy. Where is your voodoo economist NOI who couldn't implement TSA and under whose nose the oil subsidy cabal inflated subsidy from 300billion to 1.3trillion and instead of standing her grounds chose to look the other way and made the payments. SleekMallam: Petrol cheaper? it is on record that Apc and Buhari propagated different theorems on how petrol should sell for 40 naira per liter with barrel of crude going for above $80 per barrel in the international market. Today, a barrel goes for less than $40 yet we don't even see the product to buy at official rate of 100 naira per liter.
Transparency in government? Since the last 10 months, Buhari has been running the economy like an occult. nobody knows exactly how much has been recovered from corruption and when such monies are lodged?
It is on record that most local manufacturers has either relocated to some African nations or totally shutdown for lack of power supply or inability to access forex for critical raw materials.
It is also on record that companies in Nigeria has downsized and fired more staff in the 10 months of this administration than I'm the last 10 years.
Your argument for fulani militias killing and sacking communities as a result of cattle rustlers is untenable. Petrol is 86.50 in Nigeria I don't know where you live. Also were you not aware over 2.5 trillion in the TSA and a budget has been presented so how is the economy run secretly. It's even the previous governments that hid all those money now in the TSA and some few government officials were collecting interests (TSA was actually conceptualized under Gej but he lacked the balls to implement) and the administration has already told us the list of all recovered money will be published soon so chill. Even in the boom years companies were hiring and firing in short it's Normal to hire and fire it's no big deal. What you failed to realize is that as some companies are downsizing others are employing more and expanding their businesses it happens all the time. So you think it's right for some criminals to kill a fulani man just to steal his cattle and sell such for peanuts ? Security forces turn blind eye seeing those rustlers go free that's why some fulanis have taken the law in their hand. Cattle rustlers are just like the armed robbers that Rob us everyday have you not seen instances of people burning down such thieves? This is not supporting the fulani herdsmen for atrocities but laying the issues bare. |

SleekMallam: Nothing change in padding a budget and stealing it back like a thief in the night to round figures up once it was called out by same masses that voted to see change.
What three things can you say has gotten better in the last 10 months? Perhaps nepotism skewed in favour of the Buharis and Atikus? or the sudden love from fulani militias? or the brotherly love between the 95% and 5%?perhaps it's the blood of baboons and dogs about to soak in Rivers state? Petrol is cheaper, there is more transparency in governance ,local manufacturers are seeing increased sales due to forex restriction many companies now produce at full capacity and are even expanding. Nepotism has always been in Nigeria tell me was GEJ not fabourably disposed to appointing people from south south and south east ? Fulani militias have been attacking communities that habour cattle rustlers for long as for rivers go back down memory lane and you will realize what is happening now is child's play . |

SleekMallam: All the very reasons the masses voted APC has gone from bad to worse. To add salt to injury, APC has denied virtually all campaign promises.
What is CHANGE? Change is certainly not padding and planting the greatest heist known to the Blackman into the 2016 budget nor continuing in the tradition of nepotism. What has really changed? Nepa? fuel? food? water? security? what short term plans has been put into place to cushion things before the long term goals matures?
The corruption currently ongoing in this administration within 10 months is quite depressing. No. You tell me what is happening now that has not been happening before .some getting better while others get worse . About the budget it's actually change that has brought the anomalies out. Previous budgets were just rubber stamped and has never had up to 50% implementation. If not until some years ago when the ministry of justice returned unspent budget nobody thought of it and the ministries were simply embezzling their unspent funds because they always get another money the following year. Change has made the national assembly do their work without fear or favour and without any interference from presidency. It's only you that is seeing corruption in this government because as far as I can see this government is prudent and better manager of resources |

chinuz: Donald Trump, a front-line US presidential contender blast Nigeria for claiming to be giant of Africa. One of The highest producer of crude oil in Africa without nothing tangible to show for it. 56 years after independence, Nigerian leaders still can’t deliver “ordinary” electricity, water, home-refined petroleum products, transportation – road, rail, water and air – infrastructure. Here’s a quote from Donald Trump, a front-line US presidential contender: “Look at African countries like Nigeria or Kenya for instance, those people are stealing from their own government and go to invest the money in foreign countries. From the government to the opposition, they only qualify to be used as a case study whenever bad examples are required. How do you trust even those who have run away to hide here in the United States, hiding behind education? I hear they abuse me in their blogs but I don’t care because even the internet they are using is ours and we can decide to switch it off from this side. These are people who import everything including matchsticks. In my opinion, most of these African countries [like Nigeria] ought to be recolonized again for another 100 years because they know nothing about leadership and self-governance.”

Progressive01: These people have no idea what goes in the North Central especially Benue State. They have never stepped their foot on these soil yet they'd wanna tell you exactly what is going in your own neighbourhood. They have no idea the traditional rulers in some of those flashpoint communities are largely responsible for these clashes between farmers and the herdsmen as they give lands to the normads without due consultation, collect huge sums of monies, only for the inhabitants to turn around and try to force them to leave resulting in all out bloody confrontation with both parties suffering serious casualties.
Remember the incident in Gboko when one of those traditional rulers was almost lynched to death when he was seen at the bank with a Fulani man during the height of the crises in 2013.
The press mostly reports only one side of the story, feeding and promoting public anger and hatred towards the Fulanis (make no mistakes, I'm not their fan) since there's already a long established preconception they are a bunch of rampaging violent killers.
The Fulanis have been living very peacefully among the Igede speaking communities in Benue for eons without as much as a a single incident of violence between both sides. The only time they came close to a confronting one another was sometimes in 2011 somewhere in Ameka, Oju LGA, when one of their cattle was killed and the meat shared among those who killed it. The herdsmen simply reported the elders of the community and the "thieves" presented themselves after a threat was made to curse those responsible if they don't come forward. They were made to pay an equivalent amount to the herdsmen and the matter was settled!
These accounts are never heard in the press since it doesn't sell and doesn't conform with popular narative.
A lot is going on that people are ignorant of honestly. God bless you for this . Some chiefs sell lands to the fulanis and later want to drive them off the land forcefully . The criminals in those communities rustle cows of the fulani often killing them in such "robberies" and sell those rustled cows for peanuts . I think as a way foward the fulani elites should start a campaign to encourage the herdsmen to embrace ranching. The fulani man is business oriented and once he understands the ranching system will adapt it. |

Their naked incompetencies are blown open daily by their stage-managed wind of change.
Infact, I'm sorry to say this, but with absolutely no apologies to the sadists, President Buhari happens to belong to this class.
Those that ignorantly voted him into power have had their high hopes, wishes and aspirations irredeemably and irreparably dashed. Now they are regretting as indicated by the discordant tunes they hum every now and then.
Before you decide to quote me to abuse me, cross check this fact from the numerous persons that cast their votes for Mr. President about this time last year who are regretting that singular act of theirs and are praying for forgiveness from posterity. Only those that didn't know why they were voting for Buhari will be regretting their actions less than a year into his administration.
