Medical and experienced persons in the house, please come to my aid.
I know its normal to have a bit swollen feet in pregnancy since even every other part is swollen / big. But my concern is that only one of my legs is swollen and very painful. I have gone to the hospital and my Dr said ITS nothing serious and normal til I give birth. I told him I know but my fear is that since its one leg and its painful, he just said its normal.

But I read on Google that two averagely swollen feet is nothing serious but one swollen leg with pain is not good. That it means the veins carrying blood may be blocked or blood is clotting. please how true is this since my Dr isn't taking it serious .

Taking indirect comb test every two weeks is not necessary. since u have done it now that u are 10 weeks gone, u can do a repeat test between 24- 28 weeks since u said its negative. Assuming its possible the two weeks test would have been to monitor the level of the antibodies.

Daddy we know we are sinners as we come to your throne of grace to ask for the forgiveness of all our sins. in any way we have fallen short of your glory, in our thoughts words and deeds,sins of commission and omission, we pray that you have mercy upon us,forgive us all our sins, blot out our transgressions and write our names in the book of life in Jesus Name.

We pray for our unborn babies that you secure them in Jesus Mighty name from all the arrows of the enemies and the wicked ones. We pray you shield them from the snares of fowlers and noisome pestilence. No weapon fashioned against them shall prosper in Jesus Name. We pray for perfect formation of all our babies. All their internal And external organs will develop perfectly and function well. We shall not give birth to diseased, deformed,jaundiced or mentally impaired babies in Jesus Mighty Name.
Dear lord, we pray against any form of loss in our midst in Jesus name. There shall be no miscarriage, stillbirth,loss of father or mother, bleeding, premature loss of water or rupture of the membrane.
We pray that our babies' umbilical cords, placenta, and amnoitic fluid shall function fine, well and serve them properly til they are due for delivery in Jesus name.

On the day of our delivery, the good lord shall make it easy for us. Our labour shall be short and we shall deliver like the Hebrew women In Jesus Name. All the care givers present shall render to us the best care that suits us in Jesus Name. we shall leave the hospital alive with our babies and husbands and everybody shall gather to celebrate with us In Jesus Name.

Feb moms how are we? Waddling has not been easy at all, honestly I never knew I would get this far but God is ever faithful. 33 weeks 3days today and the contraction or Braxton Hicks no he here I feel so much pressure and can't walk long distance yet I still go to work.

I decided to go for uss scan on Wednesday to check on babies and both are weighing 2.1kg each, is it possible they weigh same thing or scan man scammed me?

In other words I know we are getting there, I've not finished shopping but I don't just have strength for market again at all. Safe delivery to us all

Mama two, we are pushing oo. Trusting God to make us finish well and strong with testimonies. i had a scan about two weeks ago ,baby weighed 2.9 kg and is abt 2 WEEKS AHEAD. scan read 36 weeks 1 day instead of 34 weeks 1 day according to the LMP. The sonographer just said its nothing to worry about so im not so bothered. You can ask your Dr if you are confused or not so satisfied with the result. May we arrive at the promised land safe In Jesus Name. February is here jare, Thank God for the journey so far. Before i forget sorry about the braxton hicks, its showing me shege here too, i have accepted my fate.

So I've been seeing some talks about pcv here. Last two weeks, my pcv was at 27% and the doc said i should increase my intake of fruits and veggies. Maybe coz he didnt make it sound like its really low..so i wasn't exactly bothered and i didnt think about it or do much about it.

Please my question is what is the effect of low pcv at childbirth. (Pardon my ignorance). Thanks in advance mams

27% is quite low, you can follow all the advise given above to boost it,then you can include iron supplement. A mama even said 37% is the standard and see me here thinking its 30%. May God see us through. We are almost there.

They serve the same purpose which is to swaddle or wrap baby in.


Shawl is more cozy but makes them hot considering we're in the tropics where its hot almost all through the year. They're most useful in the first few weeks of life because they're thicker and cushion the baby when carried or passed from hand to hand. They're also nice for naming ceremonies and outings. By the 6th-8th week, you won't even remember you have them.
Flannels are lighter. We don't pack our flannels till were like 18m and we always leave one behind as our cover clothe
Blankets are just thicker and most suitable for cold days.

Chai abeg mommas in the house help me o! The stretch marks just started coming out even with the ori that I'm applying. I can't help the itches. I scratch it like my life depends on it. Sometimes I feel like using iron sponge to scratch its that bad. I hope the stretch marks goes off after delivery? And could be the possible problem for the itches?

sorry about the itching. stretch mark has bastardized the whole of my hips and bum too, thank God there's no itching sha. I count it all joy jare. Anything for my baby. May our sacrifice not be in vain.

I'd say buy just one shawl for outings and naming ceremony and buy a sset of flannel for everyday use.

100k will buy basic things if u aren't buying car seat, wardrobe then settle for a normal rocker not pram.
they are the ones that consume the bulk of the money. With 100k u will get the basic flask, bathset,bathing kit, sleepsuit and body suit, hanger baby bed, not cot oo cos cot with bed is abt 30something. Every other thing sha.
Flannel is diff from shawl. you will see it at the store. There's the big one for backing baby and a medium one that can be used as bedsheets or cover cloth for baby.

Hello teamie, even though I haven't changed my surname, but the process is getting a publication on national dailies for change of name. you can use the popular dailies like the nation, punch etc. That's all. You'll be given a copy of the news paper when its out for free, cut out the change of name section cos its usually plenty and circle your own name. Make plenty photocopies and attach as part of your credentials. Court affidavit too should be added

I spent roughly #205k. the most expensive ones were the car seat which is 45k,wardrobe 40k. There were more expensive and designer ones , but na the ones wey my budget reach be that. Then pram/rocker/stroller all in one oo 25k.
Then I still have stuff like feeding bottle, sterilizing kit and a few more things to buy sha cos money no reach.I feel maximum of 50k should settle the remaining things. May God continue to enrich our pockets to give our children the best.

I went for baby shopping today, and I bought 95% of my stuff. Woooww preparation for baby no be moimoi oo. Hubby was just screaming at d prices. We did jelenke shopping sha, we didn't move from one shop to d other pricing stuff. we just entered a big shop and sat down, we called the stuff for them and they brought them. I'm not so sure they duped us sha cos they claim they sell wholesale. But even if they did, na them sabi, may God continue to provide no strength to be walking up and down.

As much as I want a term baby, which I'll get by Gods grace, anak123 too prompted me to shop cos I can't imagine birthing LO now when I practically have nothing on ground. I can't imagine not preparing well for a visitor that knocked for almost nine months.

My expectation is so high now and equally excited, I pray I'll be able to sleep tonight, I may just be checking and rechecking my baby stuff. Don't blame me jare.

May we all carry to term with no loss in Jesus Mighty name. I'm almost ready!

Hello ladies ...... So I have ported again.

Had my baby girl on the 27th Dec. @ 33weeks. had to be put in an incubator. It's so heart breaking seeing her like that. can't hold or touch. Grateful she is alive.

Good evening mommas, there is this pain av been experiencing from my left hip down to my feet. After a long reserch I discovered it's muscle/leg cramp. Av used vitamin and calcium and also Lofnac gel but the pain no gree go. PLEASE is there any advise on what i can do.

sorry about that pain.I hope the long research and the eventual drug prescription wasn't as a result of self medication and what you read on Google? I'll advice you talk to your Dr since you said the drugs ain't working well to subside the pain. sorry once again
