Oliviaarims:I was thinking a yes to the question should have suffice. Then I may have to just go on my knees and pray day and night and see where my next dinner comes from. But we all know that's unrealistic and impractical. Faith talks? You're high in the spirit o, miss. ![]() |
Oliviaarims:Prayers takes care of everything? Hmmm |

sexaddict08:Lol. Come we dey. Make this our sweet weather hammer you small. But remember to put egusi, crayfish, okporoko and groundnut inside your portmanteau when coming. Also bring aboniki balm e be like say I get small pains for my back place wey person dey work like jackie. ![]() But no let the millions and pounds/euro/dollar amounts bandied around on this thread deceive you o. Half of what anyone earns here goes back to tax, household bills, and high cost rents. It's not what you earn that you're able to save. And by the time you have to wake up sometimes 4am to enter the minus degrees temperatures to go to work and do more than 2 jobs you might start thinking differently. The first few years are always rough but with proper schema and determination it will always get better with time. One last thing, it's all man by himself here. This country no be like Naija were your guys fit carry you enter club and pop champagne on your head and even give you 10K to put for pocket. It's not easy to give person even £1 here and you work for whatever thing you want. Just so you know sha. ![]() |
EreluY:Yea, sometimes it's not about one's income and the nature of their jobs but about living in a society where one's safety, health and other basic amenities to life is guaranteed. |
Griffon:He's being rational and truthful. Nigeria doesn't have the suitable climate to work and most of their work place doesn't even meet the required health and safety standards as obtainable abroad. One can injure themselves during work without any first aid or available ambulance service to rush to their rescue. Nothing works in our country, people are just surviving in thorny conditions. A friend once told me sometime last year, that he's better off than most affluent Nigerians who are 10times richer than he is. This is someone who works as a health and safety contractor and earns about £45K annually (an equivalent of 17million naira). He cited his reasons as no matter how rich a Nigerian is they don't have stable electricity, pipe borne water, roads, proper healthcare etc. That their generators and boreholes could experience fault often which could lead to a brief interruption of power and water supply. Sounds crazy but very truthful. |
Griffon:Is it not same Nigeria where employers treats their employees like offals and piece of trash. Where an employer can lay you off your job without any course to do so. Where staff go months without being paid and with no explanation from their bosses even as there are virtually no labour laws to protect the working class. I can go on and on but there's no pride and benefits of working in Naija as compared abroad. So, nothing truly annoying about anyone doing such jobs like you said. |
Monalisa185:Ka naba ura nwata, ona chi echibe gi na anya? ![]() |
daretodiffer:The thread taya me. I no even know where to start address am. Whether to start with the religious sophistry that marriage is the creation of God and with crediting bible as the source when marital institution is older than any present religion. People don't just want to read and get factual information but would rather feast on what organized doctrines says. I don't even know what he means by spiritual attacks. Stuff that aren't evidenced based don't sink to me. |
Monalisa185:Bia, nwanyi hmmm Kedu afa obodo gi afu sef, odika ibido go icho okwu? ![]() |
wristbangle:I'm not entirely dismissing the claim that they do work in a mortuary. I'm only saying it's not as common as being paraded about. It's on the lower range and personally don't know of anyone who works in a morgue. If it's that common at least I'd know at least one person who works there, just like I know many who do the other jobs you highlighted. And all your other listed points are accurate and on point. But there's a reason why people who do those menial jobs do it. First is that they are uneducated and have no technical skill. And the last and most important is that they are living illegally and don't have the required legal paperwork to aim for better jobs. |
Aside the drug trade every other jobs listed there pays more than the average white collar jobs in Nigeria, including the much admired banking job. Though not the finest of jobs but if it pays the bills why not? And about Nigerians working in mortuaries I think that's untrue and an unfounded notion. Nigerians don't work in the mortuary abroad as being bandied about. As a matter of fact I don't know of any Nigerian or ever heard of one who works in a mortuary. Even if do they then it's on a proportionate scale as other foreign nationals including the natives. |
Monalisa185:Yes, that's all. ![]() |
Ok. ![]() |
You dumped it coz PDP is a failed party and in a comatose. And also coz you were disqualified and couldn't grabbed the party's ticket. Like every other politician you're power hungry and greedy. I hope Ndi Anambra central don't vote for you selfish woman. ![]() |
Cutehector:You're right. Guess I was making a referral to myself there. Suffice to say every one can survive without love then. |
Abeg where person go see this kind woman? Wife material 100yards. ![]() |
Depends on the kind of love you mean. If it's love from nucleus and close-knitted family no but if amorous love yes. |

Hello (whatever pet name you call yourselves) can you please assist me with some money to fix my hair? That's how you should ask him via text preferably. You don't have to be shy and afraid about it. For the fact that you're not into the habit of asking him for financial assistance in the past should suffice for him to help if he can. |
Individualism should be preserved in a relationship. No one should obtrude into another's phone without permission. We're dating/married doesn't mean I should abdicate my freedom and privacy. ![]() |
