Romance › Re: Hilarious Fact About Marriage by ronald4lif(m):
Strahovski1:
Your girlfriend isn't your wife and can never be. Your girlfriend cannot be that loyal as your wife would be. Because she is just a girlfriend, she wont last. Last time i checked, most ladies want to be wives not girlfriends. Besides marriage doesn't have to be a ceremony. My marriage was in a small temple with only 6 people and 1 priest.
You don't get it. I don't need her to be my wife as I'm not bothered about the wife designate. All I need is to derive happiness, family, friendship and her undiluted loyalty amongst others. And there's no evidence to the fact that she can't be as loyal and committed as a wife, it's just an urban myth.

The number of ladies who gives a hoot about marriage over some verbal/written exchange of vows depends on their domiciled, beliefs and mindset. And even if they are in the majority, they don't represent the views of all women towards marriage. Small or large guests doesn't dismiss the fact that it was a ceremony. Even if it was just a guest, fact is that there was a gathering.

1) Companionship

2) Support

3) Friendship

4) Family

5) Love

6) Happiness

7) Loyalty

And so on.. when you marry the right person!
All these can be enjoyed without marriage. If you think you need to engage in a ceremonious fanfare to receive any of these benefits then you've got it all wrong.

I can cohab with my girlfriend and have kids and enjoy friendship, loyalty, support, family and the list is seamless. So?

sinaj:
even virgins feel Hot too unless you are a virgin ghost
She knows being a virgin doesn't make any difference to the redundant question raised by the harebrained OP. She just felt the need to reveal her virginity status for obvious reasons. She's one of those who thinks priding themselves as virgins might arouse admiration from guys. She dwells on false reveries and assume that with her hymen intact men would disregard her misdemeanor and condone whatever inauspicious habits she possesses.

Her type has nothing to offer a man and render in a relationship and indeed have no other sterling values than their virginity hence the need to consistently announce to any one who cares to listen that they are virgins. Their ONLY values.

The mastermind, don't be a fool. If she's not willing to give in I say take a walk from that affair. Yes, sex isn't love but sex is a sterling component of love.

Maybe she should keep off dating until she's ready to embrace the fact that sex is an integral part of a relationship. Fvck that sh1t. undecided

But what was the big deal in restraining herself till perhaps later at night when she can convince him to do the needful.. Or better still, a couple more days until they return home?

How did she cope in the one month he was away? Masturbated the whole time ?
Not everyone can cope longer than what their body can sustain and some have limitations. She might have exhaust her precinct threshold and couldn't cope any longer. Perhaps, she could also have realised that hubby was resolute in his dismissal of any sexual activities in his parents home and so there wasn't any point to further persuade him at night.

Yes, she might have masturbáted the whole time the hubby was away. Any thing wrong with that?
Romance › Re: Types Of Guys You Should Not Play 'Hard-To-Get' With by ronald4lif(m):
Oliviaarims:
Inasmuch as I don't believe in unnecessary fronting and playing hard to get just for the sake of it, I must say that it's necessary to take things slowly sometimes.

It's not in all cases that women deliberately play hard to get just for the sheer fun of it.. Sometimes, they simply need time to assess their feelings and the guy with whom they are getting into a relationship with, weigh the prospects of the relationship, whether or not it's worth a try and all of that...
This is a better persuasive basis for procrastinating a relationship. Sure there's a need to gauge a guy's feeling to be sure it's sincere and not just a temporal feeling of lust. But I don't think that's what constitutes playing hard to get.

I think playing hard to get borders around unnecessarily leading a guy on even when the lady is certain he ticks all her desideratum and requisites. That's where the problem is.

The normal obligation of Nigerian ladies. An erroneously backward orientation lacking value. Wait, is there any difference between ladies who play hard to get and those who depend on their boyfriends for everything? When the moral girl who has been playing hard to get finally settles for begging, conveniently for cash & material things, then her 'hard-to-get' facade would sure be blown up & uncovered as a lame attempt at trying to protect her non-existent dignity so she wouldn't look cheap at first. Delusion of its highest order.
I wish I can upvote this comment a hundred times. This is the finest explanation as to why the ones who plays to get does so. They normally have nothing to offer in a relationship and are leeches who depends on a man's finance hence the need to portray a non-existing self-worth so the guy doesn't becomes detached and timorous towards their demands. No one could have said it better than you did. Respect!

Excellent research doctor ronald4lif.

This hard to get mechanism is what some ladies actually use to beef their deflated esteem, feeling as if their market value is 2nd to none. There is no point proving this attitude when she knows the guy possess what she is looking for.

Most time ladies always say "ooo if I don't do it, he will consider me as their cheap hoe". Like I told a female friend of mine today, a guy will not respect u becos of your proving to hard attitude.

Honestly this attitude is becoming stale and blatantly silly. The sharp ladies nutmeg husband material dudes but the shakara ones end up as side chic to a player sad

@ oliviaarims, nice comment from you.
Bros, no lady with a sense of aplomb, and sterling values plays hard to get. If she likes him she likes him and if she doesn't she says so and move on. Only unsophisticated women with bairnlike attitude does plays hard to get.

And that's only when the guy wooing them doesn't tick the right boxes, if he does they succumb and embrace his advances.

Great write-up. So on point! I wonder the motive the first person who brought about this 'hard to get' bullshït had. Or what she was really trying to prove. I did rather preoccupy myself with complicated mathematical equations. Try indian guys. Naija guys aren't blessed with such endurance.
The hard to get concept is an antediluvian praxis that has no place in 21st century. It's only people with primeval mindset and those who have a false sense of ego that still revels in it. In this age where women initiates romance and open up to a guy they want who still plays hard to get.

A lady who likes you likes you and playing hard changes nothing about one's self-worth. Don't mind these toddlers saying they are playing hard to get, they are just juveniles who assumes a false sense of self importance and hasn't meet a guy who crosses all the right boxes.

What I emboldened is what I believe is the bane of today's spirituality, I do not want to use religion cause I see it as a political tool.

Which leads me to ask, will it take a celestial revelation of God for there to be a substantial belief and follow his commandments or will an individual revelation to one man be enough to convince you beyond religious teachings?
Both but I think an evidenced based revelation should be the fundamental proof that he exist and still is in charge of his creation. For every reason theist believes God exist science has a more substantial evidenced-based proof to falsificate it.

To believe in his existence based on religious books scripted by primitive men of the medieval ages is ridiculous as non of what they said can be proven beyond written representations.

Seeing as you stated these two things as your beliefs, one defeats the other.

Why would there be a creator who does not intervene in the scheme of things, how is that logical?
There's no contradiction in the practice of deism. There's a creator doesn't automatically means he intervene or have a grip over the outcome of things.

It's only an acknowledgement that there could be (not definite) a supernatural being but he has to consistently prove his existence beyond what religion sermonises.

Okay, he doesn't want to fulfill his bedroom conjugal duty and at same time doesn't want you satisfy yourself? That's selfish and very unthoughtful of him.

He must be one of those who abhors masturbátion and consider it sinful but he should also understand humans aren't some wooden work that doesn't have sexual needs.

Who said married couple can't have sex in their father's house? His excuse is flimsy and he should take responsibility for pushing you into masturbátion. On your part, you should have been punctilious not to have been caught while in the act. What if someone else had barged in?

Let him get angry, just be nice and receptive to him. He'd come around.
