ivolt:Wrong!! |
yusufu16:The military will not take over. If there is one thing Buhari has achieved its nepotism, in entrenching the most loyal people across the strategic military leadership cadre. Coup is very unlikely. The only way is by people power |
The target of the protests, wants to lead it. Would be so annoying if Nigeria wasn’t a joke of a country! |
Joke. There are very capable young Nigerians, home and in Diasporia. We need a clean clear out of current leadership cadre I look at Buharis govt and I am thoroughly ashamed to be a Nigerian. How did we get here! |
Nigeria will be easy to disrupt online. Know why? The brains, technical, who should man our public offices have been displaced by abokis per Buharis nepotism. Our public institutions under Buhari is a joke! |
The reason Buhari retained the army leadership despite their woeful performance. Buratai is a beast. Incompetent, corrupt and compromised. This nation, no hope |
Move beyond words please. There has to be harsh consequences. Instant dismissal. These police hierarchy lack basic leadership abilities |
Good. Desperate times calls for desperate solutions. First however, is that you convince us this won’t be another avenue for political witch hunt. It must be transparent, free of political interference and outside the control of el Presidente. Thank you! |
Donpaper:I disagree. Speaks a lot. See the avoidable contention on the internet. It already bodes badly. This govt is notorious for copying... and doing it Badly. Let’s see if they will get a fraction of swat level training You wonder what else they are doing copy and paste. We don’t have leaders. |
Donpaper:We will wait and see. Though this first step, gives up a lot as to their unseriousness. To start with, I will like to see what the ‘Special Weapons ....’ will be. Standard issue AK47 ba? That is how the military went about naming battalions ‘special forces’ after watching American movies. I knew nothing distinguishing will be observed with normal troops. Serious nations create unique identities with the naming of spec ops. For example, US Navy SEALs, Delta Force,, Green Beret. Israel has Sayeret Matkal, Russia Spetsnaz etc. Even other African nations have unique spec ops identities. We just copy ‘special forces‘ as names after watching American movies. Lazy, so annoying. Names are easy to conjure. Special Tactical and Amoury (STM), Special Tactical Unit (STU), Tactical Intervention Unit (TIU)... I just made all that up now... easily They just created a needless controversy with the choice of SWAT. The easiest task in the entire journey. Disappointing! |
Donpaper:This is now beyond name. It’s indicative of the deep malaise in the force. No thinkers, zero initiative. The abuse with SARS could have been nipped long ago through active, innovative monitoring, transparent penalties/consequences for infractions etc. It dragged on as all the leaders do is sit in their offices collecting bribes from politicians and businessmen. If they can conjure a simple name unique to us, how will they find original, lasting solutions to the myriad of problems they face daily We need a clean sweep of police leadership. They are the problem, more than rank and file |
Lazy minds SWAT? Why copy the US? So lacking in originality and strategic thinking. Special Tactical Unit (STU) etc couldn’t be conjured? That’s what happens when clueless abokis man strategic positions! |
Do you see how politicians up and down are lining up behind the #EndSARS movement? Let me tell you. They are not doing it for you. They are doing it for themselves. They know things can spiral out of control, into a full blown revolt and revolution. They know this is beyond SARS. They realise Nigeria is already in a precarious state. They know it will cost them dearly. Why didn’t they condemn SARS all these years of Citizen abuse? Because they are hardly directly on the receiving end of this brutality. Nigeria must seize this moment to achieve real reforms. Our country is currently in a race to the bottom |
sammy329:The status quo may be acceptable to you. It isn’t to me. I know what good looks like, most of you are programmed to accept failure. Our system has failed woefully. It may take a revolution turn it around. Now is as good a time as ever! #EndNepotism #EndCorruption #NewPoliticalSystem |
CilicMarin:And where did excessive force get him. Besides Trump mostly threatened to use force, the police didn’t. They were largely passive, defensive. |
Lipscomb:Protest is not needed again ba? You are happy with the way the country is today, the nonsense Buhari is doing? |
No. Seize the moment to seek greater reforms. End nepotism. |
dometome:Your write-up is not worth a read. FoolA, retarded are terms that will describe your ilk. You sit in Ojuelegba speculating above your cognitive capacity. Why am I even bothering! Nov 3rd just round the corner. We vote the vile racist out of office. You lose. |
RuudVanNisteroy:They don’t steal have enough to sustain themselves. Most will already have enough for two lifetimes even before they come to power They steal to build and sustain influence and power indefinitely. To run for office in future, to sponsor politicians, to influence leaders etc. They steal to sustain as much of the power they will surrender at end of term. That’s what makes the scale of their corruption unforgivable |
dometome:First search turns up tonnes, start with this if you can comprehend https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/oct/11/donald-trump-books-woodward-wolff-anonymous-niece-ivanka https://apnews.com/article/donald-trump-race-and-ethnicity-racial-injustice-archive-d0c4d221e865f4eda38df38485f6dd20 You are too lazy mentally, to engage. Go back to your BBN replays |
Our leaders know now, that a new dawn is upon us. We must take to the streets, to take back our country from this clueless, nepotistic lot! #EndNepotism #PaliamentarySystemNow |
Forget disciplinary action. Get only educated people into these tactical units. Set up rules, accountability and effectiveness disciplinary policies. SARs did what they did because there was no consequences! The leaders were not accountable. They are to blame! |
Think about this for a minute. What have the police leadership been doing since the complaint started over 4-years ago? This is the problem with the police leadership, and general leadership under Buhari. That man has no empathy A tactical unit is essential. But crass lack of accountability at the top, lack of empathy by leadership, laziness has meant the boys carried on business as usual Now, sack service chiefs #EndNepotism |
Why announce such a strategic offensive? Ma guy, STFU. Do the deed, rout the terrorists then announce after that fact #EndNepotism |
dometome:Google is your friend. It’s futile listing out the the many books, testimonies from his black workers, his open support for white suprematist, the fanatical support he gets from the likes of kkk and other extreme, racist and fascist groups. Futile. All I can say is, your master will lose come Nov. You will be broken of your slave complex. Let’s reconvene then for your re-education |
Kemi unwell. Pray for her |
President I will. What have you been doing with over four years of complaints about your police force? Joker of a President Replace the IGP with a dynamic, transformative professional. I have the next demonstration will be one to change government |
dometome:These conversations are beyond your comprehension. Trumpski’s base are the American rednecks Deep South, white supremacists the world over and pathetically ignorant black types like you So I will not waste my precious time engaging you and your ilk on topics far exceeding your cognitive capacity |
Your President is busy waiting for the next country President to fall sick so he can send his useless felicitations. He is also standing by to dish out sympathetic comments on herdsmen. Please leave him out of SARS matter. He is busy! |
This would never have happened if Magu, doing Tinubu’s bidding, still held the reigns. |
