PoliticsRe: Fashola: Nigerians Disappointed As They're Looking For Results In Wrong Place by rontolo(m): 9:27pm On Oct 03, 2020
NGpatriot:
He's still saying the same thing, that the FG messed up for not providing stable electricity and instead of doing so, they privatized electricity so exac,y what impute are you talking about?

To abolish power privatization which he really can not do because privatization was a constitutional ACT?

Or you are just mad because he used to criticize your incompetent looting and stealing PDP uncles?

NOI and Jona stole N2.3 billion and gave it to Dasuki ATM to share with their cronies, that money was a enough to build 1000MW power plant or 2 Lagos Ibadan railway, but you asslickers want to blame Fashola for the misery, pain and suffering crated by the crooked and corrupt people you voted for?

Where were you and how come you did not demand accountability when Nigeria was swimming in oil wealth and instead of spending the funds on infrastructures, they looted every kobo while hypocrites like you was shouting GEJ till 2015?

So, you also want us to believe that today's government that's constructing and commissioning major infrastructures including the ones abandoned for 30 years, 13 years including 2nd Niger bridge is a failure, but your worthless, crooked and incompetent PDP uncles you voted for that spent 16 years in office but did not commission 1 single project are the good guys and you don't need any accountability from them?

How mentally redundant and hypocritical can you people be?

I'm trying not to laugh, but the pointless,, silly and corrupt upside down rubbish you people spew sometimes are very comical to be take seriously.

grin
Here we go again with the over flogged doddle from yet another zombie! Like it or not, I will pick a GEJ govt over your current paymasters, this incompetent, nepotistic, rearward charlatans of a leadership called APC. This govt, when it comes to corruption, is no different from past govts. However they surpass all in nepotism, blame game, lack of accountability and propaganda.

However it may pain you and other propaganda goons receiving 20k stipends from this backward govt to defend their failed policies, my position on fashola and his band of thieves in govt remains unchanged. Thank you

NGpatriot:
So, you can demand from him what he's not responsible for?

It's like demanding accountability from the vulgernizer instead of the panel beater you gave your car to..

Why are nigerian youths so clueless like this?
I think you have a comprehension deficit.

My issue is not with what Fashola has said. We’ve been saying the same for a decade. NOI vigorously posited this severally. What was Fashola’s input then? That the fed govt was Nigeria’s only problem

He and his APC goons directed political opprobrium at the federal govt for personal gain. Even promising to resolve the Power issue in 6 months. We’re 6-years into abject failure, and all we see is deflection and propagation of blame. Zero accountability. We will make more progress as a nation when people (especially people of influence like Fashola) expouse positions of truth, not only when it serves their selfish purpose. Also, we as citizens have duty to call out these self serving characters quick to propagate convenient truths, only when it suits their selfish agendas.

We can do this, even when we don’t disagree with the message

talk is cheap bruv, only those around you can attest to your credibility
I am not a public official funded by tax payers money at ridiculously exorbitant cost. Fashola is a public figure and we must demand credibility and accountability from these leaders who selfishly bestride our nation. Fashola is accountable to us. My credibility on the other hand, is is my private business #BigDifference
Foreign AffairsRe: Russian Troops Battle Each Other To Earn Much-Prized Special Forces Beret (Pics) by rontolo(m): 7:07pm On Oct 03, 2020
People are mentioning Nigerian soldiers in same breath as Spetsnaz. This is an insult to these Russian warriors. First, Nigerian regular soldiers are not half as capable as the Russian regular troops. Nigerian special forces (annoying the way our unprofessional soldiers are given this designation upandan) are not even at par with soldiers / conscripts in the Russian ground forces. Spetsnaz is different class, similar to US Delta Force (CAG), US Navy Seal team Six, British SAS, Israel’s Shayetet 13 etc. These guys are extreme warriors. Just one battalion comprising one of these forces will destroy boko haram quickly (using advanced intelligence, logistics, special ops capabilities and deployment etc)

The Nigeria army is an unprofessional ragtag, inferior even to Chadian soldiers. Nepotism and corruption decimated the Nigeria military, long time ago!

Ehiscotch:
Yeah. And somebody somewhere would step in and oppose the next government and the cycle continue for decades. You get?

I'm not saying Fashola is accountable or anything but is he telling the truth or should we throw away the baby and the bathwater? Just because he is lack accountability does that negate what he said?

So, I am saying he is right and let's not argue ad hominem, devoid of reason.
What he says may have some merit. But when NOI complained of state govs being a clog, I remember this man, Amaechi and co antagonising her viciously. To them, all things evil emanated from the Fed gov/centre.

The issue is, given his antecedent, double-speak and hypocrisy, there is a major credibility gap with Fashola . He lost credibility after he left office as gov. Desperate to remain politically relevant, will say anything and oppose anyone regardless. Remember the Power solution in 6 months? I’m sure he knew he was embellishing when he said that

He isn’t credible and should fem. If this had come from the likes of NOI or others who have stuck to a consistent message, fine. Not from this hypocrite abeg
PoliticsRe: Fashola: Nigerians Disappointed As They're Looking For Results In Wrong Place by rontolo(m): 8:36pm On Oct 02, 2020
Ehiscotch:
Nigerians can throw a fit and don't know how to react rationally.

Fashola just said the truth really but Nigerians take pride in being antagonistic and they love the Deja vu; I guess there is a thrill to it embedded in us.

Basic amenities like that are to be covered by the State Government. The FG can't be everywhere and they embark on projects that take years to accomplish: rails, roads, ports etc.

Nigeria has so much challenges that a government can achieve so little in eight years, especially with corruption so endemic and institutionalized.

Listen(sic), before you mention. You would keep moaning and groaning and wailing for eight years of Buhari and then the next government and then the next, until you realise the fundamental details of governance and hold them sensibly to it, devoid of emotions or sentiments or prejudice.

I feel a need to reemphasize. This is NOT about APC/ Buhari or what no. I am feeling the burning effects of the economic downturn but I am grateful to God for the ability to detach emotion for rationality.
Rubbish.

Fashola was leading opposition to GEJs govt, blamed the fed govt back then for everything under the sun. Now it’s the state Govt responsibility abi? This man thinks we’re fools. He lacks accountability. Hopefully the likes of him will disappear from national leadership soon

PoliticsRe: Borno Attack: Zulum Ignored Intelligence - Dennis Amakiri, Ex-DSS Boss by rontolo(m): 10:21am On Oct 02, 2020
You tell a sitting gov to hide in his bunker, while the citizens he should be protecting are encouraged to go to ‘high risk’ zones within his domain? What Zulum is doing is leadership! At the very least, the attacks draw attention to the insecurity the fed Govt are trying so hard to bury with propaganda

The DSS should be handing this active intelligence to the military to take action and secure our land. Boko Haram is a clear and ever present danger to all, not only VIPs

PoliticsRe: Oba Of Benin Warns Wike, Others: We Don’t Want Godfathers For Our Governor by rontolo(m): 10:33am On Sep 30, 2020
This Oba was sympathetic to APC, so my inclination to listen to him is seriously diminished. He even sounds angry, he had no constituted power to ‘warn’ a sitting, Democratically elected governor. He is overreaching

He should go and rest abeg!

I don’t regret anything or not replying him 2years back. I’m still not attracted to him but I’m happy for him. Wished him nothing but light and good health congrats to my Mr simp on IG
Be wary of people who say ‘I am happy for you’. They are not. I learnt this a long time ago

PoliticsRe: Oshiomole Finally Breaks His Silence on Edo election defeat by rontolo(m): 8:53pm On Sep 23, 2020
He must be reflecting on how he messed up so bad. This was so self inflicted. Completely avoidable. Let Obaseki be, compromise in Edo to retain your national power and prominence. A little humility was all that was required. Now he is rock bottom. A political nobody. Completely powerless, politically irrelevant and despised by many. He has learnt humility the hard way

This is a cautionary tale for the proud, greedy and arrogant.
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan Fought Boko Haram To Standstill – Ex-minister by rontolo(m): 6:32pm On Sep 23, 2020
The first accurate account I’ve heard since the hapless govt came to power. The past govt had gained serious momentum, engaged capable warriors and were on the verge of a rout. This govt came in and spun propaganda, confused gullible, foolish Nigerians with crooked narrative.

The last govt has fared much better. No question bout that

No. They did the right thing, turning their backs on injustice. Obaseki was disenfranchised by that arrogant muppet Osho. Obaseki was a better candidate by a mile. He is their colleague doing a good job. Make no mistake, about it, even the presidency and cabal were silently supportive of Obaseki
