Times are hard, frustration is starting to set in, don't blame the person who wrote the comment. Hardship can reconfigure the brain. |

Firstly, the quantity and frequency of usage, there's hardly an household in Nigeria that doesn't require tomatoes. The demand is always high. When supply doesn't meet demand, there will be scarcity and higher prices. Onions, water melons and the other items you listed have a lower demand. They are readily available and so the lower price. The availability of the latter items is normal, the scarcity of tomato is abnormal, hence the complain. |
Interesting... thought I was the only one who couldn't eat shawarma without it spilling all over. Now I just stick to burgers, you cant go wrong with those, or pizza. |
"The harder you mash the button, the stronger the attack", That is so me, my hands are always red after any fightingg versus game - Tekken or mortal kombat. Op, nice compilation. ![]() |

Well, I think comparing the state of America's economy with that of Ekiti, says it all. I know Ekiti is a state, but I believe people insult Fayose because they aren't feeling the dividends of his governance. Personally I don't subscribe to insults, but while it's admirable to eat out with the common man, he should mix that with adding value to Ekiti. History should not remember him for eating pomno |

If all Nigerian niggas could do this, not just on the first date, but sustain it throughout the relationship, we would have fewer single ladies, fewer unfaithful ladies, and a better Nigeria ![]() |

Emodeee: Jaymaxxy:Yes in accounting we all know it's an asset, in Economics it's a liability. Mr. Ambode is a governor and should be more interested in the economic implications of his actions NOT accounting. As an economist, you measure the implication of your every policy, on the state and the populace - Pertinent questions: -What becomes of the current danfo drivers, will they be automatically employed or rendered jobless?? -What price will these vehicles charge, less than Danfos (another form of subsidy); same as Danfo, or considering their comfort - more than the current danfo charge?? -what's the long term maintenance plan for the buses?? These and many others are pertinence economic questions an economists, and I believe the governor, should be concerned with. Introduction of buses, as I earlier explained, is a good investment, but considering Nigeria current state (early stages of a recession), they are better investment options. |
alujonjonkijon:I am not disputing his move has "some" advantages, kindly reread my comment, my point is Lagos has the largest IGR, it should be invested on infrastructure- low cost housing, interstate rail system, remodelling state school, public borehole systems, public toilets, the list is endless, NOT buses. The socio economic impact of buses is minimal compared to the maintenance. If you introduce buses in my state, in the core SW, it's multiplier effect would be higher as no transport system currently exist. Here Ambode is not introducing some thing new, he's just replacing an older system of transport (Danfo). I am for constructive criticism, Nigeria is currently experiencing a recession, buying buses isn't a wise economic move. |
Hopefully he can revamp NIS, the corruption there is pretty high. Even the office in Abuja is not up to par, the parking lot is not levelled, potholes everywhere. It's just not fresh. If systems and processes are introduced, passport issuance is another major source of govt revenue. |
It seems Mr. Ambode is out of ideas on how to spend Lagos IGR.. Anyone close to him should pls tell him that vehicles aren't infrastructures, they can improve the cost of living, but the long term economic effect is minimal as its a liability not an asset. |
Omoakinsuyi:Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. Apologies if that's abit harsh, it's the best quote for your absurd comment. |
Anyone that votes for GEJ is unaware of our current economic state. Buhari is the lesser of 2 evils. |
Politics, particularly the current administration, when the wife is PRO Buhari and Husband Anti- Buhari. Innocent Buhari has broken so many homes... |
With all the money she has, she could have at least employed an English Tutor. |
2 likely causes: She ripped him off bad, Or he's just crying like a b.itch cause she left him for someone else. |
Virginsince1997:Nah, if you handle him right, he will treat you right. |

True that. Like Tyrion Lannister would say" Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.". If you ain't so pretty, wear it like an armour, and market your other strengths, stop all this beauty is on the inside s.hit. No man has it all. |
Damn, is it really this bad.... I guess the rainy season might have added to the price escalation. Tomato doesn't grow well in the rain. |
