I won’t be quick to dispel his ideas though. There might be a new way to do things.

I know I’ve seen a building that was not plastered the traditional way we do stuffs. They just did the ceiling and the walls were screeded with a special mortar mix.

I’ll share video once I can get it. The solution was shared in one of our Affordable Housing conference.

But not like the regular house the op is asking for,which also 95pec same way we build here and some other part of the world.

So pop 1st before plastering is the way.

good questions.

Doing pop before plastering is the best, because it will enable the plasterer to gauge and smooth all the edges of the pop design.

Plumbing work is done before plastering because all the walls the plumber will break before laying the pipes must be cover with bricks and mortar by the plasterers.

Same applies to electrical pipping, it must be done before plastering.

Frames for doors must be available on site before plastering because if you don't provide it for the plasterers when they are plastering coming back for them to install the frame after plastering will cost you, time, energy and money.

Windows must be on site install, before plastering it save you money and it is the best ethic to get wonderful finishing.

After plastering is fixing of plumbing and electrical materials for the project.

Next to painting.

But before all this can be done you must cover the buidling.

You will find your self blame for Doing POP ceiling BEFORE plastering, who does that.
Except you want to fix wall tiles on such surface which might NOT need smooth plastering surface

I found something close to the door below in Swisstrade, Ikota at N2,000,000 in 2014.

Good doors cost fortune.

You are right, but some of those does price are over hype by those company.

A client here contacted us about 3yrs ago to do same door and here is what we come out with,
200k plus delivery.

I stumbled upon a build at a friend's place where a -Slate- was used as Lintel Support. & Some doesn't have Lintel. In this same build A plumbing Pipe passed through (under the ground) a room to the toilet.

I was Shocked !

My Big Question Again : is there a proper way of correcting such disasters without demolition?

It’s not a shock to me,I have seen many shabby work like that.....what did you expect from quack Labour/ workmen couple with client who like better things and can’t dole out money for such.
That is the problem they will always encounter and “NO AMOUNT OF REPAIR CAN STAND GOOD QUALITY WORK FROM BEGINNING” it can only solved the problem 60-75pec

Well it can be corrected without much demolition, that is if expert handle it.
