Politics › Re: How We Misfired In APC — Timi Frank, Deputy Publicity Secretary by Rotimi47: 6:24am On Jul 06, 2015 |
Itulah: The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Timi Frank is a leading light in the party. In this interview monitored on the African Independent Television (AIT) live current affairs programme, FOCUS NIGERIA, he spoke on issues flowing from the crisis that arose from the squabble for positions in the National Assembly. Excerpts:
APC should be grateful to the PDP for still having the Senate Presidency. They (PDP) could have nominated themselves to be Senate President and Deputy Senate President; and you cannot take that from them.
We should thank PDP for what they did, for being democratic. They know they are not the ruling party, so they respected themselves by making sure an APC Senate President emerged. They unanimously gave their support to Saraki as we only had about seven or eight APC Senators in the Senate as at that time.
I see no reason anybody should blame Saraki for what has happened. We should be happy that he was there to at least save the situation at that time. If he wasn’t there, the situation could have been different.
What and who took 51 Senators to the International Conference Centre? The question we should be asking is: Who asked 51 Senators to go to the International Conference Centre? What did they go there to do? I don’t know who called for that meeting, as a party man. We should not blame Saraki for becoming Senate President. We should put the blame on the party and whosoever that called that meeting. Has the President come out to tell Nigerians that ‘I called for a meeting and Senator Saraki wasn’t there?’ Even the President wasn’t at the International Conference Centre. Why did you expect Saraki to be there?
Everybody is saying the President called (for a meeting), the President called; okay, who gave the directive for the meeting. So, this is the big question, a very critical question we should be asking. What must have dragged 51 Senators to the International Conference Centre? They should be asking themselves what took them there?
No deal between Saraki and PDP To my best of knowledge, this is a contest between two political leaders in the same party. Both of them were banking on the support of PDP Senators because APC Senators alone could not have made on of themselves Senate President. What happened was a victory for democracy, a victory for the people. You can’t take it away. The Senate or House (of Representatives) is an independent House. These people decide on what they want. They go for what they are comfortable with.
On Ekweremadu’s emergence
On the issue of how Ekweremadu emerged as the Deputy Senate President, for God’s sake, PDP felt that, well, we have been able to give them the Senate Presidency unanimously. We are not trying to be greedy. We are trying to respect democracy.
One of the APC Senators that was present contested alongside Ekweremadu and lost. Not that they just asked Ekweremadu to be the Deputy Senate President. No! It was live on TV. PDP was more in number, so, they voted for their own. At the end of the day, Ekweremadu emerged as the Deputy President of the Senate. https://cdn1.vanguardngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Timi-Frank.jpg.pagespeed.ce._fiVNaHCLp.jpg
Upset with my party
I am upset. My party caused the downfall, why we lost the Deputy Senate Presidency. How I wish all the Senators were there, there is no way we wouldn’t have got the Deputy Senate Presidency.
Don’t blame Ekweremadu. We don’t need to be blaming Ekweremadu and so forth. If it were anybody from my party or even myself, I would take advantage of the situation that was on ground.
Today, the man is Deputy Senate President to Saraki. But he is just a Deputy Senate President. What can he do to frustrate my party? There is nothing he can do because we have an active Senate President.
So, my party should live with it. They can also come up with whatever strategy they feel like. But, Ekweremadu didn’t just put himself there. My party caused it. So, we should accept the defeat.
Imposition and bias for one candidate against the other
I think we should not have gotten involved in the whole drama in the first place. Saraki is a member of the APC. Senator Lawan is a member of the APC. Everyone involved is a member of the APC. No one is more loyal to the party than the other. But as a party, we have not done well. We treated Dogara and Saraki as if they were half-casts of the party.
Principal officers
This whole internal crises, the party leadership caused it. In the process of trying to take sides, we misfired. The party zoned the Senate Leader to the North East. Fine! But the party should have left it at that, not saying a particular person has to be this. As soon as the party zoned the office, the party should have left it for the zone to come up with the candidate. Like Ahmad Lawan, if the party had not gone ahead to stick out his name, maybe they would have gone ahead to say, Senator Ahmad lost the Senate President, let us leave this for him. But again, the party provoked the people of that zone by writing names.
What Nigerians are trying to say is this: the issue of godfatherism is gone. The issue of saying this must happen is gone. The independence of the House and Senate is what we need. There is no way Saraki could have read the party’s letter. The majority voice in that zone had already written to say this is whom we want. The party must accept failure at this point in time and build from the mistakes we have made.
Party supremacy
I agree that party supremacy has come to stay. But again, since party supremacy is now the issue of the day, I expect the national leadership to write the list of ministers and their portfolios and give to the President to announce. The State party chairmen must write the names of the Commissioners and SAs and give to the State Governors to announce. That way, we will know that party supremacy has come to stay. Not just to enforce it on Senate and House of Reps. Otherwise they should allow the Senate to be. They should also allow the House to be.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/how-we-misfired-in-apc-timi-frank-dep-publicity-scribe/ Your name betrayed you! The PDP knew that if they went for the senate and won, APC members will unite to impeach the PDP senate President here by putting lawan in the advantage to become the senate President, the Saraki and several others as well as you had meetings and the end result was Saraki being made the senate President at the expense of his party APC and at large Nigeria; let hit the nail by the head, what happened after Saraki and the other guy the speaker became elected? People started complaining about northerners being the one being appointed that is after they ganged up against Tinubu and others who were working to get people that will not compromise but serve as check and balance voted for. People should take what they're getting and stop complaining after they shot themselves in the leg. This man's comment just showed who he really is. |

brainpower: Melaye and controversy sha. He knows Tinubu isn't happy with him for his role in the emergence of saraki and he's being careful knowing how dangerous Tinubu is. But one thing I know is he's going to be very useful in the senate, incase you need a radical person to push your agenda just call on Melaye. I hope all these power tussle doesn't affect the country negatively and to anybody who thinks Tinubu is too big to fall should understand that anybody can fall provided the right moves are taken. But in as much as I may not like the Melaye guy, I think he's better at the senate compared to Smart Adeyemi but Smart adeyemi will bring better dividends to his people. Tinubu have fought the federal government as the only governor of AD for 4 years when he was governor of Lagos state, that means he fought the whole federal might, Tinubu is very capable if taking APC and the North easily to the cleaners as he doesn't have any political ambition and that is his strength. People tend to easily forgot that he worked with Jonathan and Jonathan won, he worked against Jonathan and Jonathan lost, Buhari worked for years even with some if his Northern/Muslim brothers and he kept losing but Tinubu worked with him and he won; you don't fight someone that stand by you genuinely when you have problem or when you are looking for a favor after he helped you resolve it! Jonathan is a testimony to that, he fought the south west because the North, south east and south south mouth talked him into believing he have them and as such he doesn't need the south west and Alas! He kept fighting the south west eg Obasanjo and Tinubu, this lead to him being the first incumbent President to loss an election in Nigeria. 4 years is along time so let sit, relax and see how politricks unfold. |
Politics › Re: Tribunal: Melaye Accuses Tinubu Of Backing Adeyemi At A’court by Rotimi47: 5:54am On Jul 06, 2015 |
HzRF: The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, on Sunday alleged that a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had decided to offer support for Senator Smart Adeyemi, who is currently challenging his electoral victory at the Court of Appeal.
Melaye, an APC senator, told journalists in Abuja that Tinubu had contacted the immediate-past Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN), to take over the legal battle on behalf of Adeyemi.
He also said that Adeyemi, on the request of Tinubu, had forwarded details of the suit to Adoke, asking him to look for a judge in the Court of Appeal that would offer assistance.
But Tinubu, in his reaction, had asked Melaye to look elsewhere for people to blackmail.
Tinubu, who spoke through his Media Adviser, Mr. Sunday Dare, said it was nothing but a “kitchen of malicious lies.”
Dare said, “This is another lie from their kitchen of malicious lies. They are all over the social and traditional media, spewing lies and planting stories. We are not about that. Nigerians are not as gullible as they think.
“He is aligned with people who want to kill the party, and we wish him luck, but they will not succeed because the party belongs to the Nigerian people.
“This blackmail, like other ones, will not work. It cannot stick. Adoke? Who is he? Tinubu cannot recall when last he saw him or even spoke with him. Dino should look elsewhere for people to blackmail.”
Melaye had claimed that he incurred the wrath of Tinubu after refusing to back down from supporting the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, during the recently concluded election of presiding officers of the 8th Senate.
But Melaye said he had no regret over his role, leading to the emergence of Saraki as the Senate President.
He said, “I have no regret supporting Senator Saraki and my electoral victory was ordained by God and not by man. Therefore, no mortal can reverse it. In God I trust, no matter how desperate they might be.
“I am privy to an electronic mail sent to Adoke by an Abuja-based senior editor who is close to Tinubu in which he forwarded the court papers filed by Smart Adeyemi at the tribunal to Adoke.
“In the said e-mail, Adoke was told to look for a trusted justice in the Court of Appeal who would be useful for Smart Adeyemi.”
It will be recalled that the Election Petition Tribunal in Lokoja had upheld the election of Melaye who was elected on the platform of the APC.
The tribunal had dismissed the petition filed by a former chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and former chairman, Senate Committee on FCT, Adeyemi, because his lawyers filed their defence too late.
Delivering judgment in the suit, Chairman of the three-member tribunal, Justice Akon Ikpeme, described the petition by Adeyemi, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, as “incurably defective.” http://www.punchng.com/news/tribunal-melaye-accuses-tinubu-of-backing-adeyemi-at-acourt/ The front supporter of Saraki is afraid! Why now? After all that noise abeg leave Tinubu out of your predicament as I don't understand why everyone keep calling out Tinubu's name, the same man some CAPITAL MUMU call a regional champion. |

Ayima: Following the aftermath of the APC convention. Gov. Amaechi has this to say:
“Let it be known, that I didn’t just join the APC, I was wooed by the legacy parties and four other PDP governors then. Naturally in every bargain, interests must be spelt out. Of course they did promise me the Vice Presidential ticket in the forth coming election with a condition to sell the party and make President Jonathan unpopular. The initial arrangement was to pair me with Hon. Tambuwal (Speaker of House of Representatives) .
But when other entrants like Atiku and others entered the party, everything changed. It was Gov. Nyako that opened up to me on the recent changes, and pleaded with me to take the position of the National chairman of party, that it will be zoned to the South-South. And I grudgingly accepted. Now, in every political convention, consensus building is needed to harmonize all interests.
So I initiated a platform for the 16 APC governors to talk in Port-Harcourt last week. And in that meeting, the 13 governors and their deputies that were in attendance reassured me that I will be given the national chairmanship slot. But when I asked Gov. Adams to ask Chief Ikimi and John Oyegun to step down for my candidate, Adam’s quietly told me “My brother, I know the bad name they have called you in the South-South and Rivers in particular. Again, I sympathize with you because I know how much you have put-in in APC, this Yoruba and Hausa people can’t be trusted, they said you couldn’t build the APC in Rivers State and that only 95,633 out of the 1.3 million membership you claimed have passport photographs. That everything was doctored by you”.
I find it very disappointing, that we no longer have men of trust, and integrity. Men whose words should be their bond in politics. So last night, I made my position clear, that if the other candidates didn’t step down for Dr. Sam Sam Jaja, then there was no point picking the expression of interest form. I feel deeply betrayed” http://reportsafrique.com/2015/07/how-i-was-betrayed-by-tinubu-buhari-gov-amaechi-shares-his-story/ lie from the south! Is Amechi not part of those who ganged up against Tinubu and worked with Altiku, saraki and PDP to make Saraki the senate President at the expense of the Party and the Nigerian Masses? People who are filled with ethic sentiments tend to allow it over cloud their reasoning! Tinubu was working with other APC party faithfuls to make sure that the right people who will not compromise are voted into both houses so as to put in place check and balance but Amechi and several other south south and south east members worked with PDP to make sure saraki who is a fanatic to emerge senate President and several people from the south south and south east clapped and mocked Tinubu not knowing that they just shot themselves in the leg. Now they are losing out more than any other region and they have started complaining, when Tinubu worked so that Ngige can become a senator so that Ngige can become the senate President, the south east worked against the plan because of the hatred they have for the Yoruba's thinking they're doing themselves good and they did not sit down and study what they will gain at the end of the day; when Germany was divided between east and west it economy was not in the top 6 in Europe but when Germany came together and forgot the animosity between themselves, they worked together successfully to become Europe biggest and most powerful economy which is one of the world's largest economy even as of date; The south west is the only region in Nigeria that can survive without the federal, we have been in the opposition since 1960 and we can still do it again but the whole south should know that the North only fear and respect the south west only and the south west is the major reason Nigeria is still one up to today and if they opt out, nothing can stop them as they can march the north Man for man and weapons for weapons if not even supersede them on all the fronts. |

Politics › Re: "We Are Under Attack From APC " -- PDP Raises Alarm by Rotimi47: 9:48pm On Jul 05, 2015 |
ogochukwu247: READ PRESS RELEASE BELOW...
Gentlemen of the press, We have called you up this Sunday afternoon to address you and through you alert all Nigerians and indeed the international community of a grievous development that constitutes a major threat to our democracy and lives as individuals.
As we address you today, our democracy is facing a serious danger. We are at the verge of a quick slide into dictatorship and the personal freedom entrenched in the polity in the last 16 years by the PDP is about to be obliterated.
We wish to alert all Nigerians and the international community that there is indeed a clear and present danger of threat to the lives of key opposition leaders in Nigeria.
In the last few weeks, key PDP members have become an endangered group for playing their opposition role in providing constructive criticisms to the ruling party in their apparent lack of capacity to get organized and form a government; their interference in the activities of the National Assembly and the demand for the implementation of their campaign promises to Nigerians.
As we address you today, some key leaders of our party have been under threat since the emergence of the leadership of the National Assembly which did not go the way of the leadership of the APC, particularly, the election of PDP’s Senator Ike Ekweremadu as Deputy Senate President. The leadership of the PDP has been made aware of various threats to life and other forms of intimidation and blackmail against Senator Ekweremadu from the APC.
As you may know, the APC leaders have not hidden their bitterness and resentment towards Senator Ekweremadu whose offense is the privilege of being elected by his colleagues (APC and PDP senators alike) as Deputy Senate President in line with the Standing Rules of the Senate and the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Since President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement that Senator Ekweremadu’s election was ‘unacceptable’ to his party, the Deputy Senate President, who can only be removed by the Senate has come under threats and intense pressure from APC leaders to resign and allow a senator from the ruling party to take his position.
However, having failed to get him to resign, the APC has now engaged in heinous plots to force him out of office, a design, which totally negates the independence of the legislature and the spirit and letters of the constitution of Nigeria.
Apparently to ensure that the agenda is given an official stamp, the Inspector General of Police, acting on instructions has invited the Deputy Senate President with a view to arresting him over phantom charges as a build up to incarcerate him, create a vacuum in the Senate and pave way for the imposition of APC preferred senator to take over his position.
“We are aware that some APC senators opposed to the emerge of Senators Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu as Senate President and Deputy Senate President respectively met last week and concocted a petition accusing the Deputy Senate President of altering the Senate Rules on the process of election of the Presiding Officers, upon which the police via a letter dated July 1, 2015 and signed by the Deputy Inspector General in charge of criminal investigation at the Force Headquarters has invited him to appeartomorrow, Monday, July 6, 2015where he will be detained and put under pressure.
Apart from the fact that the Nigerian Constitution clearly guarantees the two chambers of the National Assembly the powers to regulate their proceedings without external interferences, we note that the petition by this group of senators who enjoy the sympathy of some APC leaders lacks merit as Senator Ekweremadu or any other senator-elect prior to the inauguration of the Senate and the election of presiding officers, could not have been involved in the process of producing the 2015 Standing Rules of the Senate which was strictly done by the bureaucracy under the Clerk to the National Assembly.
Furthermore, Senator Ekweremadu was not in any way involved in the process other than being nominated for the position of the Deputy Senate President and could not have been privy to the secret ballot procedure adopted by the National Assembly bureaucracy, which has been widely adjudged as transparent and credible.
Also, apart from plans to use security apparatus against the Deputy Senate President, we have information that there are instructions to certain officials at the now National Electoral Commission to alter some electoral documents and records in order to create the impression that Senator Ekweremadu did not file proper documents for the general elections to eventually pave way for his removal.
In line with the above plot, the APC has been having secret meetings with some judges and lawyers to procure injunctions to prevent Senator Ekweremadu from playing his role as the Deputy Senate President.
We are also aware that part of the plot is a conspiracy to tarnish Senator Ekweremadu’s image and open him to public ridicule. Last Monday, some APC leaders met in Abuja to perfect a plot to blackmail the Deputy Senate President by planting outlandish publications against him in the media.
The PDP hereby states and in very clear terms too that the government and APC leaders should be held responsible should any harm come upon the Deputy Senate President or any of our party leaders for that matter. We state this because information available to us indicates that there are also plans to compromise security around the Deputy Senate President to make him vulnerable and open for sponsored violent attacks.
We do hope that the era of political assassination is not about to return to Nigeria and that our nation will not descent into a draconian regime where a strike force is created to hunt key opposition figures.
In this wise, we call on our citizens to note that the PDP will not consider it a mere coincidence if our key leaders suddenly become victims of terror attacks or are suddenly killed by armed robbers. This is especially as we are aware that the APC has even gone to the ridiculous extent of trailing key PDP leaders and bugging their telephone lines.
This is in addition to hiring some disgruntled PDP members, to use the guise of an ethnic solidarity to create some disturbances, distractions and disruption of the smooth operations of our party. The APC is indeed in the process of elevating violence, ethnic and sectional interests once more in our democracy and we call on patriotic Nigerians across the country to resist this dangerous design.
We are aware that President Buhari, who had earlier restated his willingness to work with anybody elected by the legislature, has been put under intense pressure resulting in his statement on the emergence of Senator Ike Ekweremadu, which is now being misconstrued by some of his overzealous party members and security officials. We therefore urge the President to bear in mind that the onus therefore lies on him to moderate the political temperature of the country by calling his overbearing party members and security officials to order.
In Nigeria, the constitution empowers each chamber of the National Assembly to choose its leadership without external interferences. Senators in their wisdom and in exercise of that power, in line with the provisions of their Standing Rules chose Senators Saraki and Ekweremadu to lead them and the constitution is clear on the process for their removal from office.
The APC should not in any way take our civility, decency and commitment to national peace and stability for granted. They should rather be thankful to PDP senators, who in their maturity and discipline stuck to the decision of our party to support Senator Saraki and restrained themselves from using their majority status on the day of Senate inauguration to take over the positions of the Senate President and that of Deputy Senate President, while APC senators were busy attending their party meeting at the International Conference Center (ICC).
APC leaders must understand that no amount of threats, intimidation and blackmail will make the Deputy Senate President to abandon the mandate freely given to him by the Senate, or compel the PDP to abdicate its responsibility as an opposition party, a role we will continue to play with every sense of restrain, civility, maturity and patriotism.
On this note, we urge all our citizens, the civil society and indeed the international community to note the development in Nigeria; the onslaught against the opposition; the eroding of personal freedom, threats to lives, disruption of the legislative activities of the National Assembly, undermining of the independence of our electoral body and other dangerous signal that the nation may be on a slide to totalitarianism.
As a party that sustained and nurtured democracy in the last 16 years, the PDP cannot fold its hands and watch but will stand with all patriots in resisting this attempt to transform our country from a democratic state where the freedom of citizens to hold personal opinions and aspirations are guaranteed, to a nation where despotism, fear, clamp down on opposition and of course the media will be the order of the day. Thank you Chief Olisa Metuh

gbollybakare: The seemingly coordinated vicious attacks on the former Governor of Lagos and APC National Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a direct result of the front-line role he played in ending the 16-year reign of the PDP. In recent times, Asiwaju Tinubu has been the target of attacks both in the traditional and Social Media, apparently orchestrated by those who blame him for everything happening to the party, especially the crisis triggered by the National Assembly leadership election. The attacks have become stronger since Friday, when he was needlessly pilloried for not attending the NEC meeting of the party in Abuja, called to resolve the National Assembly leadership crisis. ''There is no doubt that the attacks are being orchestrated by those who have not forgiven Asiwaju for the visionary role he played in bringing about the merger of opposition parties into the APC, which then went ahead to win power at the centre. ''But for Asiwaju's uncommon vision and extraordinary politics, such a merger could never have been consummated, not to talk of winning power at the centre in less than two years of its registration by INEC. ''Add that to APC 's unprecedented feat of becoming the first party to unseat a ruling party, and you can then begin to understand why those who had their long snouts tucked into the nectar of power under the PDP will never like the APC visioner. Come to think of it, no PDP member or supporter will ever see anything good in Asiwaju'' one source said. Another source said that in a twist of irony, Asiwaju's unprecedented success in politics has also been the source of anger and hatred directed at him by those who were very comfortable with the status quo, especially since the beginning of the current political dispensation in 1999. ''Recall that when Obasanjo embarked on his onslaught against the South-west in 2007, only Lagos State under Tinubu survived. But for his survival then, which he then leveraged upon to retake power from the PDP in the region, there would have been no APC today, because the ACN - the key legacy party of the APC - would never have been born. ''The PDP, lacking visioners like Tinubu, never for once imagined that some opposition elements will put their differences aside and opt to work together for higher interests, like it happened in the case of the APC, to unhorse them. That was why, in their moment of power stupor, they boasted that the PDP will rule for 60 years. The source said but for Tinubu, that prediction of power longevity, boastful as it might have seemed to many, would have come to pass. ''It is therefore not strange that the man, Tinubu, is being attacked and blamed for every perceived wrong in Nigeria, in the APC or for allegedly seeking to grab every imaginable post in his party.
''But there is no cause for alarm. Every great man in history has gone through the same motion of being pilloried, being misunderstood or being simply hated for their greatness. It is not about to change with Tinubu, but like it or not, his place in Nigeria's history is guaranteed. He has earned that and no level of attacks can take it from him. ''Tinubu should take solace in the words of another great man of his time, Albert Einstein, who said: ''Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.'' Fact, nice one. |

Those who's name is stated meant well but Saraki and his cohorts in APC and PDP have hijacked the change as those from the south east and south south helped Saraki to it thinking they're getting at Tinubu not knowing that they just shot themselves in the leg. 47 high profile boko haram prisoners are now in the east so keep watching as the politricks unfold. I pray these regions don't complain before the 4 years ends because more things are still coming that they might not like but where will they get the numbers to vote against such in the senate and house of rep? They have done their worst and should be prepared to get whatever comes there way. The aggrieved party may always vote in favor any thing the federal government/the north want to throw at them so as to get their pound of flesh back. |
Car Talk › Re: Photos Of Specially Made Armored Patrol Vehicles Proudly Crafted In Nigeria by Rotimi47: 5:36am On Jul 05, 2015 |
Islie: For those still understimating Nigeria due to some factors, better have a re-think as these specially made Proforce PF2 Armored Vehicles were crafted in the Nigerian spirit and are proudly Nigerian. The Armored patrol vehicle have lots of special features ...even the engines are also armour-protected such that the engine block cannot be shot up and immobilized by a sniper
http://www.nationalhelm.com/2015/07/awesome-check-out-these-photos-of.html?m=0 Many armoured vehicles are built in Ekiti state by 2 Yoruba guys who had worked in one of United States biggest Armoured vehicle manufacturing facility. |

Politics › Re: Biafra And The Ibibio Question: My Position by Rotimi47: 1:29pm On Jul 04, 2015 |
lunaticfringe: Op the igbos and the ibibios fought and died side by side in the 67 civil war. As such nobody is forcing anybody to join another cos they are blood relations... Biafra is bigger than both of these tribes... For the record, Few Yoruba's fought on the side of Biafra because they thought it was the right thing for them to do but alas some of them were killed by the Igbo's they fought for, eg major Banjo who lead several biafra ytoops into battle and captured several territories up to Benin till Ojukwu instructs him to invaded the south west a move he advised Ojukwu against but Ojukwu insists; they invaded Ore a Yoruba village in On do State and that brought the Yoruba's fully into the war and the biafran's were repealed. Ojukwu killed banjo for one reason which is that he was getting very popular, but Ojukwu claimed Banjo collected bribe from Nigeria government. That I believe add to the hatred between the Yoruba's and the Igbo's. This may never end but for the Igbo's to get Biafra it is best for their leaders to try to hold meetings with the Yoruba's andake them see reason why any tribe that wants to leave Nigeria should be allowed to do so without blood shed. It may seem difficult and time consuming but if they keep holding meetings with them, it will come to pass one day but if the Igbo's continue like this with all their hate speeches, it won't happen because another civil war may happen and this they can never win even with the entire south south support. |

OREMUSSANCTUS: Lamentation 100 vs 1000 He simply said the truth but ethnic bigots can keep hating as they threw all their votes for Jonathan and he lost, what type of support can a reasonable person who is truly interested in meaniful development of Nigeria get from this people filled with ethnic sentiments as they always destroy every position they occupy. Aviation, petroleum, military, finance, CBN etc, yeye dey smell. Smh |
Politics › Re: Buhari Preferred A Fulani From Niger Rep Instead Of Dr Peter Onu To Head OAU by Rotimi47: 6:42am On Jul 04, 2015 |
Change is here so let people deal with it; why are people complaining? When Tinubu was working with other APC party loyalist to put in place people that won't compromise things for the good of Nigeria, the south south and south east allied with saraki a man they can sacrifice Nigeria for his personal ambition and he emerged senate President, they show it openly in the house by dancing not knowing they just shot themselves in the leg. Abeg let them gladly accept what the see since they have always allowed ethnic sentiments to over cloud their reasoning. Ain't it Jonathan who approved that high profile boko haram prisoners be transfered to Anambra state? He delayed so that it will not affect the votes he is going to get from them and he will transfer them there after he Win's the election but alas the Igbo's voted him but he lost and the 47 boko haram prisoners are now there in Anambra prison. To me the federal government have the right to take decision that it deem necessary. |

rozayx5: http://www.punchng.com/news/appointments-uproar-as-buhari-favours-northerners/ Let them leave Buhari alone, what did they do when the south south and south east PDP supported saraki to become Senate President? They thought Tinubu is being dealt with but Alas they simply sealed their faith; Tinubu was working to make sure there is check and balance but they goofed up, they should have never allowed ethnic sentiments to determine how they reason. They should be ready to take more. |
