D’banj must pay all the debts of Mo’Hits – Don Jazzy
In regards to D’banj’s claim for 100 percent ownership of all songs recorded under the Mo’Hits imprint, the acclaimed producer in an email on March 17th, states.
“That Mo’Hits Records does not already own 100 per cent of the songs. Note that Mo’Hits Records only owns 60 per cent of the songs and 40 per cent belongs to the individual artiste. So, 40 per cent of the songs is not mine to give.” He continues, “That me (I am) giving him (D’banj) my share of the catalogue does not and will never include him having the right to stop them (the artistes) from performing the songs or give him the right to claim any monies for live performances of these songs. And any loans or debt owed by Mo’Hits records as at today will be cleared by Mr D’banj as I am clearly not aware of any.”

Don Jazzy states further that the catalogues he is releasing to his former partner only consists of songs already released in an album exempting new singles and unreleased materials. “So, songs like Wande Coal’s Go Low and Been Long You Saw Me are not part of this catalogue he is receiving. Also, an artiste like D’Prince, not only has he not released any album, he has not signed any contract whatsoever with Mo’Hits Records. That he has no right to claim any monies for deals that have been brokered already as at today with the catalogues or stop their usage. It is important to note that any unreleased songs done by any artiste (including D’banj and K-Switch) MUST NOT be released and is not part of the catalogue I am giving away.”
He adds, “With these few points, I do hope that you all realise that I have been generous enough to facilitate the End of the “D’banj & Don Jazzy” era as a team. After this new deal has been signed and sealed, I do NOT look forward to seeing an email whatsoever or hearing from the DKM (D’banj, K-Switch, Mo’Hits) crew, and all is well again.”

Same day, D’banj responded to the email, stating,
“In case he (Don Jazzy) forgot, this is the arrangement! 50/50—–song writer/ production, which means for a song X for artiste Y, 75 per cent as per production is fully owned by Mo’Hits and writing is shared 25/25 with the individual artiste co- writing. So, that’s the deal! So him (sic) saying 40 per cent is not his to give away is more like 75per me and 25per each artiste.”
He then asks, “What do you mean by any bills or loans would be cleared by Mr. D’banj? That will never happen because when I ran the company, I ran it perfectly and well. So, if I give him my shares he is left with 100 per cent liability. My catalogue is everything that has been done with the Mo’Hits system and under the normal agreement we have, that means everything I have recorded or that has been recorded whether new or old, or even classic, whether beat with concept or even idea without beats, anything we did as a team and sponsored by me throughout, then, it is mine. Including K-switch clause and all mine and even Wande’s singles and all till the date of signing even today.”

Continuing, D’banj writes, “And now, (I) wanna clear the air on this Samsung deal! I would expect by now that you understand that me keeping quiet is being GENEROUS because this is a deal structured under Mo’Hits Records, (and it is) the first deal and income you would ever bring into the company in eight years. We shared the first 150k (One hundred and fifty thousand dollars) the right way, 1/3 down and that was cool. But after you collected another 130k and did not say anything (that) is and could be described as theft! I only refused to contact them (Samsung) directly because of your reputation. But please don’t call me a fool and let’s know who is generous!” D’banj was not coy about his anger. He states that after sharing over N1bn with Don Jazzy in their Mo’Hits days, he was shocked that the producer would now sideline him when he got the balance from Samsung.’’

D’banj writes further, “Please, please, will he (Don Jazzy) return the Bentley because I bought it for him and it was N5.2m more than mine? And Prince that he claims has no signed contract but is actively involved and signed via engagement– I win his catalogue too – all recorded whether released now or not! This is because no one questioned me when I bought D’Prince N11m naira car (LR3/Range) without releasing any album just to boost the image of the boy and it worked for him! So, let’s get the facts straight, I AM BEING MORE THAN GENEROUS.”

No fewer than fifteen members of the Benue State House of Assembly elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a member from the Labour Party have fled Makurdi, the state capital over alleged threat to their life.

The lawmakers claimed they fled Markurdi over threat to their life and monetary inducement by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led State Government.

According to the legislators, they left Makurdi on Tuesday, after the 7th assembly was dissolved without inaugurating the 8th assembly.
In separate interviews with newsmen, the lawmakers said they had been offered money and car gifts to allow the APC with 14 members take leadership of the House.

They also lamented that their refusal to accept the offer put them at cross purpose with the APC government which began to threaten their lives, forcing them to run to safety.
Meanwhile, DAILY POST has gathered that Hon Terkimbi Kyange has emerged as the speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly. He is a member of the APC.

Owo is a Yoruba town in present day Ondo state, and at the height of Bini empire - it was a Bini vassal state. Owo arts are somewhat similar to Bini arts in terms of finesse and artistic look, and also to Ijebu arts. I believe Bini did borrow a few things (especially Ivory and brass) from Owo arts and vice versa. Their arts are also extremely beautiful and gracious, with finesse. However, Bini tops them all.

I just think most folks on here dwell on the most frivolous things, just to spite one another, while obfuscating what the crux of the matter should actually be. Also, they also don't understand how important timeline is when it comes to history - ditto why the degree of influences is very important when comparing two cultures. And you can't really make a head-way in historical scholarship without putting these things into consideration. In as much as I believe the people who make up today's Edo and Yoruba people are most likely different - or perhaps migrated to the present day Nigeria via different migration waves (there's no archaeological proof/evidence that West Africa is the cradle of mankind - apart from the Bantus before the expansion and the 8,000-year old boat from Northern Nigeria, which could've been owned by anyone. I'll stick with the hypothesis that the groups in present day Nigeria migrated from the Nile Valley civilisation and from present day Middle East) - you can't deny the fact that the Kingship of both groups came from the same source (who most likely migrated from a different place and met the people from the two ethnic groups there before lording over them).

Then when you examine the fact that the Bini had an Oduduwa mask they were still worshipping in the 18th century and compare it to the Bini legend about the banished Ekaladerhan - it basically doesn't add up. Who worships a banished prince that has been ostracised/detribalised? Ditto the attention Bini arts gave to exalting Yoruba gods like Ogun, Olokun, Osun (I never knew they worshipped Osun till I saw the mask on this thread), etc.. Furthermore, the Yoruba legend about Oduduwa dropping from the sky (pure bollocks) also doesn't add up - hence the need for the two groups to drop the supremacy battle, to get where this mysterious Oduduwa came from. Who is/was he/she? And where exactly did he and his followers come from? Regardless, both groups will always be Ife and the custodians of Ife ought to do more, with the excavation of different sites, where things happened in the past.

In as much as they ought to be returned since they were stolen (the African pride in me and heart agree with this), but of what use would they be to folks who don't really know their worth and with a terrible maintenance culture? If not for the British museum, we wouldn't know about all these great works (and the British museum is yet to display the thousands of great artworks they stole from Nigeria - the ones on display are basically a small segment of what they have in their possession). Yes, our history is on display somewhere else, but it tells the world a story about our past - something we wouldn't be able to do, if they were with us - blessing in disguise.

Even in present day Nigeria, there are still loads of historical treasures under the ground that will tell us stories about our past, and help people connect the dots. However, what are the people doing to unravel these things? How many sites are Nigerians excavating? What's the tourism industry in Nigeria like? Osun state, where Ife is located, is a classic example: that place ought to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site, due to the history of the place, and because it birthed two of the biggest empires in West Africa - Bini and Oyo. However, due to how messed up Nigeria is, they don't care about these things. So, why waste those wonderful arts, by sending them to those who will most likely destroy them?

In all conflicts the command centers are few kilometres from the war theatre! America, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, Korea,DRC, Sudan, Georgia etc do it, even in some cases when America is attacking a county they have their command center on their war ship which is not far from that countries coast. People need to get their fact's right; Buhari is not a bedroom or a paper general as he has seen actual combats: he fought during the Nigerian civil war, he fought a deadly islamists group in the North during the early 80s & he lead Nigerian troops against Chad when they invaded Nigerian side of chad basin; he & the troops he lead push them out of Nigerian territories & captured several towns & villages in chad, those territories were only handed over to chad after they apologized & begged. In olden & modern day conflicts, command centers are not too far from the battle front, Maiduguri have not really seen any Major battle as the insurgents have not been able to infiltrate Maiduguri, also note that in all the areas where conflicts have taken place in those countries you mentioned, command centers are near by( just some few kilometres) from the theatre of war. Did America have their command center outside Baghdad when shia & other terrorist groups were fighting them there? Did ukrane have theirs in Kiev? Did Assad have his in Damascus?did Russia have theirs in Moscow during Georgia war? Did america gave theirs in Korea during Vietnam war? Capital NO! Please get your facts right as Buhari is a war veteran & a general, he fought during the civil war, he fought against a islamists group almost like book haram in the early 80s & he lead troops against the Chadians when they invaded Nigerian part of Chad basin so he knows what he is doing.
