I assume you aren't trolling - your response seems breathtakingly naïve.

The link you speak about between Nigeria on one hand and Cuba/Russia on the other is primarily due to Cubans and Brazilians of African descent who come here to celebrate their heritage - the forebears of these Afro-Cubans and Afro-Brazilians were brought to the Americas as slaves. I am sorry to disappoint you but Afro-Cubans and Afro-Brazilians do not form a significant part of the political, business or military elite in Cuba or Brazil. The decision makers in these two countries are people of European descent - and they are most certainly not coming to Nigeria to fight a dubious war on the prompting of black people in Cuba/Brazil - black people who are the underclass in these countries. That is the awful truth.

So according to you, Cuba will come to fight in Nigeria and Russia will inevitably be drawn into that conflict. If only it were so simple. Your calculations belong to the cold war era and that era is long gone. There's a new order now and you (i.e. Nigeria and all in it) are of no strategic value to Russia. Russian soldiers are not coming here for anything - unless it is to sell Kalashnikovs and other military hardware by the boatload to warring African 'tribesmen' - and they will sell to anybody who has the cash to buy.

You mention Israel? Israel is an economic and military powerhouse with nuclear weapons. They have the United States' political and business elite in their back pockets. People with strong ties to Israel have a firm hold on key parts of the international banking system. Which Nigerian ethnic group ticks any of these boxes?

Interesting and amusing thread.

First of all - I avoid the use of the word "tribe" - I prefer the word "ethnicity" or the phrase "ethnic group".

I am very interested in how Russia and North Korea have become such strong allies of an African ethnic group - to the point that they will join this ethnic group in prosecuting a 'war' against another African ethnic group . Is there some defence or non-aggression pact in play here? Is there a trade relationship? Are there cultural ties? Military ties? What is the basis of this "alliance"?
