They are using outdated military tactics they used against Biafran rebels in the Nigerian civil war over 40 years ago in a conventional war.
But Boko Haram is worse than Biafra.
You could identify Biafran soldiers. But how can you identify Boko Haram terrorists?

Tactical blunders have caused many deaths of innocent Nigerians in several suicide bombings by the Boko Haram.
The Nigerian military have the capacity to even defeat these ruthless terrorists within 60 days, but only by military intelligence and not by more fire power.
The most dangerous enemy in any warfare is the enemy within and the worst is the one in disguise.
You can identify anyone in the Nigerian Armed Forces, but can you identify any member of the Boko Haram?
The Nigerian military must become members of the Boko Haram if they want to defeat Boko Haram. Otherwise, they cannot end the insurgency.
