Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to the outcome of Kogi West Senatorial supplementary election. Melaye condemned the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. Describing it as “Magic results.”

He took to his tweeter page to express his displeasure. The former lawmaker vowed to contest the results, stressing that “illegality shall never stand.”

He wrote: “16 out of 24 units where the supplementary election was conducted today in Kabba/Bunu LG has been cancelled. This speaks volumes of the disaster called election.

Last week, Dino Melaye was almost denied entry into the INEC headquarters, Abuja by security operatives. Melaye according to information made available to journalists in Abuja said, he had gone to INEC headquarters to submit more evidences of electoral malpractices.

In his one of his tweets, he said “A situation where APC agents were the ones issuing INEC result sheets at the polling units is phenomenal.

“I am very proud of the electorate in Kogi West. You voted me today but prepared results were already in place. We will fight to the end. illegality shall never stand. Magic results everywhere.- SDM.”

It was reported that Olayinde Lawal, the returning officer of the Saturday’s supplementary election had declared Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner at the poll.

Smart Adeyemi pulled 88,373 votes to defeat Dino Melaye of the (PDP), who polled 62,133 votes.

Thugs believed to be APC's have just now snatched election materials designated for Community Secondary School, Anyigba.

This was made known by the PDP Deputy Communications Director, Mr. Austin Okai on his Facebook page.

Thugs believed to be for the opposition in Kogi state earlier today invaded gov. Seyi Makinde's Hotel but were repelled by his security personnel.

In the video, an angry supporter was heard saying "the oppression is too much" severally.

The Kogi State governorship election comes up tomorrow the 16th of November 2019.

Seyi Makinde, other top PDP governors and party stakeholders are in Kogi state on a solidarity visit to support the election of Engr. Musa Wada of the PDP

Some of his guards were seeing pulling out their pistols from beneath their belts in readiness for any eventuality.

In what appeared to be an extreme condition, the pictures attached shows the deplorable condition of the only government owned hospital in Idah local government area of Kogi State.

Idah is the headquarter of Igala Kingdom. It a home to about 632,000 people.

The hospital was last renovated 11 by the then Alhaji Ibrahim Idris administration.

Our correspondent reported that activities on the premises was very low as there were very few people at work and the words.

According to the information posted on Facebook by Kogi PDP Deputy Director Media, Mr. Austin Okai, he accused Bello of destroying the PDP campaign banner.

In the picture posted on Facebook, Yahaya Bello was seen defacing the PDP campaign poster. Some people claimed that this happened during a decamping ceremony in Kogi East.

The governorship election comes up next week on the 16th of November 2019.
