Rilwayne001:Let's put tribalism aside in 2023. How long would we continue to suffer in this country. Osinbajo is better than Obi. Obi is better than Tinubu. If I don't see Osinbajo, I'll vote Woke or Obi. Tinubu can only get my votes in the event that the second option on the ballot is Atiku, Yahaya Bello or Saraki. Tinubu is corrupt but he's still better than those 3. |
alsudan:Don't say that. If Nigeria presents us the worse of the worse candidates in 2023, such as Atiku or Yahaya Bello, Tinubu the corrupt politician is still better than those two. |
Mrkcee:Most probably Amaechi. |
shaggy007:Yinmu. Yọu mean if there's no country called Russia, those people wouldn't be alive? |
Kingsnairaland:But the Russians were the first to flee. |

softwareman:No. I think you misunderstood my point. I said Osinbajo headed the economic team for just a short period of time. He has since being relieved of that position. While he was there, he performed, and that's why business people in Nigeria are calling for his presidency. |
asfrank:Don't mind the mumu op. Does the governor of a state control the minds of the delegates in his state? Each governor would cast only 1 vote as a delegate. |
softwareman:There's nothing true in the whole write-up. 1. Osinbajo has since been relieved of his position as head of the economic team. While he was there, he founded the Market Moni shceme and several other programs that made business people fall in love with him. 2. Osinbajo's activity is not directly related to the rising cost of Commodities. Blame Emefiele for that. Emefiele made dollar scarce, giving rise to the eventual fall of the naira, since scarcity breeds price increase. Osinbajo is not to blame but rather the wicked Emefiele. 3. It has been said that Osinbajo had Tinubu's blessings to declare for president. Even if he doesn't, Tinubu cannot use his own selfishness to kill the destiny of another. After 8yrs of a Muslim presidency, another 8yrs of another Muslim presidency cannot fly. Osinbajo knows that Tinubu won't be in the race, hence it would be foolish of him to waste this golden opportunity. In the pursuit of destiny, Osinbajo's declaration cannot be taken as disloyalty. Only fools would reason that way. No one kills his destiny simply because of another. Nigerians are calling for an Osinbajo presidency. He cannot betrays Nigerians, and Nigerians are bigger than Tinubu. 4. Osinbajo's sack of Buharis cousin isn't disloyalty. That shows a man who knows that Buhari is wrong in many ways, but the wrong is enthroned only because Osinbajo is not the one in power. This particular point establishes the fact that Osinbajo cannot be bullied as president, contrary to some schools of thought alleging that he'll be a weak president. |
revolt:The OP should be arrested ASAP for watching the video! |
gaskiyamagana:Absolutely correct. |
gaskiyamagana:Hahaha. Everything I said up there are verifiable, even here on Nairaland. |
simpleseyi:What questions do you have? Most Christians don't read their Bible, so they can't answer you. But ask now, the Lord will give you an answer of peace. |
CoronaVirusPro:Very defective reasoning. Stature does not describe personality. Osinbajo didn't betray Tinubu. Tinubu is very selfish. He rejected Osinbajo's nomination as vice president. If not for a former governor of Lagos State, and the efforts of Aregbesola, Tinubu would have succeeded in blocking Osinbajo from becoming Vice president. Now, knowing that a Muslim after Muslim presidency would not fly, he still wants to use the same selfishness to block Osinbajo's chance to become president. Tell me what you would have done it you were Osinbajo. Tinubu already had a mind to bury Osinbajo he did not support a Muslim Muslim governorship ticket for Lagos State. Meanwhile, it was Osinbajo who helped Tinubu become Governor in 1999. He was the one who begged baba Jakande on Tinubu's behalf which led to him becoming governor. Tinubu rewarded Osinbajo With the position of chief judge in return for that good gesture. So, Osinbajo is not indebted to Tinubu in anyway. He's free to become whoever God wants him to become. Let no man stop him. |
Kriss216:So, that means when a man calls a woman baby, he must have spent on her? SMH. If that's the case, why didn't the man boldly answer the question "Who are you?". Your IQ needs a serious upgrade. |
pyyxxaro:The OP's argument is lame and unintelligent. |
richeeyo:We'll, such a boyish attitude. And if you don't understand what I said, let me explain to you in a sentence. The US used Iraq's invasion of Kuwait as an opportunity to get at Saddam Hussien. |
richeeyo:You're really a kid. Gulf war started in 1990 during the regime of George Bush. 1990 - 1991 precisely. What triggered the war was Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. The US used it to defend Kuwait and also eliminate the Tyrant Saddam. I was already an adult as at then, so I'm giving you first hand knowledge of those events. Iraq has been humbled since that time. Get your facts straight and stop feeding on lies. |
richeeyo:Liar! USA never invaded Iraq. They only went for Saadam Hussein. They liberated the Iraqis from his tyranny. After the fall of Saadam Hussein, Iraqis themselves celebrated and even pulled down Sadam's statute during the celebration. |
UncommonLogic:The question is, did he defy federal character in his appointments? The second question is, are those appointees incompetent? Has anyone of them been found culpable of corruption? |
softwareman:Even Muric and the Muslims in his cabinet have testified of his integrity and fairness to all. If you have a contrary opinion, do justice to it with facts and figures. |
BabaO2:It was Osinbajo who pushed Tinubu's governorship candidacy down Baba Jakande's throat that led to Tinubu becoming governor of Legos. Tinubu rewarded Osinbajo for his role in helping him becoming governor by making him his chief judge. The whole thing is interwoven. However, Tinubu cannot glory over Osinbajo. The OP's story you so disparaged is perfectly correct except you hate the truth. |
aribisala0:This your post is riddled with lies. |
Znation:By what number of years am I older than you? Or By how many years am I older than you? |
Morribus:I have always known that there's a lot of fraudulent practices in Flutterwave when I discovered that Flutterwave sells dollars to you at Black Market rates but buys it back from you at Bank rates. |
Murphyenemuwe:Offended? No! Just telling how ignorant you are. As per the woman who died, you can only see from your perspective, you don't know what transpired between the woman and God. You can't even tell whether she married the man in disobedience to God. Regarding the issues you raised about things happening in the world, God deals with men according to the relationship we have with Him. God does not force Himself on people. Only Satan does. You don't know God. |
hopefulLandlord:Very ignorant fellow. Rather than seek knowledge, he's displaying folly. |
lexy2014:OSINBAJO DIDN'T NEED IMMUNITY AFTER SERVING AS LAGOS ATTORNEY GENERAL, NORTHERNERS REPLY GROUP The Northern wing of the Osinbajo Support Movement (OSM) has blasted an unknown group called the Arewa Civil Society Group's statement regarding the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, for baselessly claiming that the VP was seeking immunity against potential prosecution after the 2023 elections, even though he has not declared interest in the electoral race. The OSM in a statement by its Northern Zonal Coordinators, Hon. Aliko Shaibu (North West), Alhaji Ibraheem Bello (North East) and Dr. Emmanuel Tembe (North Central) noted that Arewa Civil Society Group allegations against the VP are merely a rehash of the same set of bogus lies that have already been discredited and debunked over and again. OSM statement reads in full; “The attention of Osinbajo Support Movement (OSM) has been drawn to the statement credited to one Arewa Civil Society Groups making outrightly false and damaging remarks on the person of Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo. Without mincing words, it is safe to assert that from the tone of the group's message, they are misguided and have no regard for truth, facts nor does the group understand the meaning of credibility. A review of the allegations they tabled are the same set of rehashed allegations against the VP that have been presented several times and equally debunked over and again. A simple check of his activities will reveal the level of the Vice President's personal intergrity, commitment to the public spirit and a loyalty to the nation, as a steward of public trust. There is simply no way anyone can possibly describe Prof. Osinbajo as a corrupt man, not to talk of someone hiding from prosecution. While well-meaning Nigerians certainly understand that this is a shadowy organisation without any following whatsoever, we as a grassroot organisation that reflects the views of the Arewa among credible others can say without hesitation that this unknown band of individuals are by no means the mouthpiece of the Northern Nigerians. They lack the capacity to be and their pretensions are way to exposed such that no one can be fooled. Having reviewed and researched the composition of the so-called Arewa Civil Society Group, what becomes easily certain is that here is just another fraction of nobodies seeking out the cheap payout from opposition pololiticians. How are we to compare their warped views on the VP with those of several prominent Northern elites who have made beautiful comments about the Vice President acknowledging his outstanding leadership prowess and patriotism to the country.” “For the group to have claimed that His Excellency Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, the VP was seeking immunity against potential prosecution after the 2023 elections, is not only laughable but an outright falsehood. The Arewa group is running for a shadow. Prof Yemi Osinbajo has never been and is not involved in any act of corruption. Despite the mudslinging from critics in the past, the Vic President has come out clean and without blemish. The repetition of such false claim of fraud is another attempt by such devious group to tarnish the VP’s image. However, their selfish motives will not see the light of day, as Osinbajo has proven himself as a man of integrity. This distinct quality distinguishes him from other politicians who aims for the same office, and we believe it haunts Arewa Civil Society Groups in constant and their paymasters that such a person will be an obvious disturbance to their plans to milk the nation. Under the supervision of the Office of the Vice President Office, the National Social Investment Programme was regarded as the most successful and impactful social welfare scheme in sub-saharan Africa, and has received global recognition for its social impact. We believe this glowing pedigree of the NSIP under the VP poses a headache to some. The NSIPs has gotten local and global commendation as the only Social Investment Programme in decades that prioritises the common man and reached the depth of the grassroots. It is also established that the success of programme was one of the variables that drove Nigeria out of recession and drew millions out of poverty, according in the recently released independent report from a foreign fact-checking firm. For instance, independent groups in 2019 commended the N-SIP for its impact on alleviating poverty, providing jobs for unemployed Nigerians and improving small businesses nationwide. In separate reports, the groups – Action Aid, of Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ), and the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) – commended the NSIP for meeting the urgent needs of Nigerians in different areas including providing employment, supporting small businesses and poverty alleviation. Also, the N-SIPs, under the office of the Vice President, was recorded to have impacted over 12 million direct beneficiaries and over 30 million indirect beneficiaries, comprising family members, employees of beneficiaries, cooks and farmers. The NSIP has been quite effective in cushioning the effects of the recession, while bringing hundreds of thousands of households out of extreme poverty. In terms of transparency, all financial approvals, payments and spending were appropriated and accounted for throughout the period the NSIP was under the supervision of the Office of the VP. In fact all such financial transactions were conducted outside the Presidency by the Ministry of Budget & National Planning. Prof Yemi Osinbajo charted the policy directions of the programme, winning laurels and awards both in the country or abroad. The Vice President stands tall and can raise his heads high and quite frankly, this is why many Nigerians are rooting for him as President.” “This is to serve a note of warning to the group and others that painting innocent individuals with tar in the public is not a license to electoral victory for their candidate. Political campaigns, engagements and pursuits should be issues-based, not woven with lies, innuendos, subterfuge and character assassination. Finally Prof. Osinbajo served for 8 years as Attorney General of Lagos between 1999 and 2007, he didn't need immunity afterwards. Before then his first political appointment was as Special Adviser (between 1988 and 1992) to Chief Bola Ajibola, SAN as Attorney General of the Federation. He never needed immunity then. So what is this foolishness that this pay-for-hire merchants of lies are forming? We exist to secure the future of our nations, and therefore, the OSM will not allow lies to prevail over the truth and facts. Already some media outlets have seen through the foolishness of the claim and have deleted the story. We ask Nigerians to also ignore this rented crowd! |
