Hi am somtochukwu (RTID)I'm a Content Creator, Visual Effects Producer, Digital Marketer and Entrepreneur.

I worked as a Visual Effects Lead & instructor for their training program. Helped create Vfx Illustrations, Compilations, adverts & Curriculum to push the project's launch.

Third story

It was on a Sunday afternoon like this, I was walking back home from church when I heard screams from a neighboring building.

I'm an advocate of 'mind your business' but these screams were something else and I knew they'd hunt me if I did nothing about it.

"What if they're raping somebody, what will you do to help?" My brain asked me as I took my first step.

My legs became jelly. I remembered the taser in my bag and pulled it out. "I'd shock the person."

"If the person dies?" My brain asked again.
I brought down the taser, feeling skeptical. It wasn't designed to kill though.

"Arghhh! God oh!" The screams came again.

This time not listening to anything my brain was saying, I ran towards the building.

There was no one downstairs but a door slammed open upstairs. I kept running up the stairs in a frenzy.

But I got there, my eyes landed on a man dancing around and hitting the air. I slowed down, panting heavily.

Was it this man screaming like a helpless young girl?

"What is…!" before I'd finish my question, a buzzing sound came from my right and the next thing I saw was a swarm of bees.

My brain immediately shut down on seeing one thing that could render me immobile, and delivered to death.

I had a serious bee sting allergy.

"Blood of Zachariah! I reject! I reject!!" My legs began running even without a command from my brain.

I heard higher screams again from the other man, but no guilt came to my heart. The buzzing sounds followed me till I was out of the building.

I escaped death that day. And I never knew the fate of the man.

But honestly, I didn't care.

What if it's the man sins catching up with him? I remain an advocate of 'mind your business'.

My second story

See what this election break has caused.

There's this our neighbor's child, who comes to our house and play with my siblings. His name is Caleb.

They all got back from school on Friday. After helping them with their homeworks, Caleb came around.

I took cotton buds to clean my sibling's ears. I did that and Caleb was complaining that his ear is blocked and he is not hearing well, I should also clean his ears that his mom has not touched his ear since he was born. He's just 4 years old.

One thing about me is that; I try to calm down with other people's kids. Whether it's scôlding, discipline or play, but I was shocked.

I called him and tried to put the cotton bud and he shouted. I succeeded and I removed a dark, smelly dirt. It was a bit hard. That was what was blocking his ear and there were more inside.

I wondered why the mom couldn't have been cleaning his ear. I decided to use a broom stick since it was hard using the cotton bud because the dirt was a bit hard.

I didn't take it deep, but Caleb started scrèaming and I saw bloôd coming out from his ear. I didn't know what to do again.
Immediately, his mom ran to the house and I was trying to explain.

She slapped me. 'why did you put that long stick in his ear. You have k!lled my son for me' she said.

'ma...it was not intentional. I was cleaning their ears..I did not do it in...' I was pleading.

'shût up. You'll sleep in the cell today so that next time, if you see people's children, you'll not go close to them.' she interrupted.

Not quite long, the husband came with the police. I was lôcked up since Friday. Since they don't take bails during weekends, I got relèased this morning.

It's a lesson learnt the hàrd way.

While I was busy thinking about how everywhere is dry with an empty stomach, my mum came to me. Of course, I did not do anything bad, so I relaxed.

She said she needed my account details for one of her customers. Since her access bank has been misbehaving ever since this naira scarcity wahala started. I sent my account details to her customer and awaits the credit alert.

"Let me know when you get the alert" she said as she walked away.

"Of course" I replied.

I'm so happy. Because deep down, I won't deliver the money to her.

"God! What did I do to deserve this your love".😩

My phone beeped, the alert came earlier than expected. It's 5 thousand naira.🤩💃

"Thank God" I said to myself as I deleted the alert notification.🥴

I waited for 30 minutes before going out, so that she won't be suspicious of me.

I went to a nearby POS to make withdrawal. Fortunately, the guy has some cash left. I withdrew the money and left.

Immediately I entered, mum called for my attention.

"The woman said she has sent the money, check your bank app" she said.

"The money never enter o, might be the network" I replied.

"Sha let me know when you get the alert" she said.

Even God knows I won't give her this money.🧐

Sheybi they said we are all thieves. Yes we are thieves.😒

I didn't see the alert. Anybody that did not believe me, should go to court. 🙃

Dear Queen

If you're with a man and you truly love him, his life should improve. His life should head towards a positive direction.

You should be able to help him get rid of his excessive and reck!ess spending! Not hyping him into emptying his account.

You should be futuristic with him in his plans and not the" let us eat all and d!e tomorrow" type

You should also help him improve his mannerisms, speech or dress sense.

You should also advice and pressure him to invest in the right things that'll yield dividends in future.

So that even if you guys don't end up together, he'll use you as a reference point to any other person he meets and would be grateful how you impacted positively to his growth as a man.

Don't just be the " baby harder girl" or " let's go shopping werey" or the let's go for vacation in ngwa" woman.

If you're a Manchester united fan, you are not supposed to criticize this man a bit.

Have you watched Manchester united played better without him in the midfield??No right?
To me weather Bruno plays well or not, I would always prefer him in the line up every match day.

Let talk about his energy, his contributions to the team,everyone said Bruno complains alot, Yes I love him for that aspect.

His complain have earned his team wins and draw instead of loses in some matches, Epl officials can't even deal with bruno antics sometimes.

He is passionate, he can misplace 5 passes but the right one is a Goal, so far to me, Apart from Casemiro and Martinez, Manchester united can't perform well without Bruno fernandez Presence.

This guy complains have earned Manchester united wins over Manchester city and Arsenal, I don't know if u can remember and many more.

Since Manchester United signed this guy, I have not seen a news that says he will be out of a particular match because of Injury.
Bruno have been playing tirelessly since he came to the city, if he misses a game it either due to a suspension or the coach want him to rest.

You can hate him if you want but he is still better than all the midfield of under bridge club😅

There is this friend of mine, who had dreams of travelling out to further her education
After our final year, we parted ways and I never heard nor saw her until two years ago when she told me she has started her travelling process

Just few months ago I met her, I was surprised she was still in Nigeria

Out of curiosity I asked her why she was still in Nigeria, and this is where the story began

Immediately after school, my friend went ahead with her process of travelling, she already got an admission to study in Canada so all she needed to do was process her Visa
She was to resume in September that year
She had no dad, and her mum wasn't well to do, but she wanted the best for her daughter, so they sold all the father left behind, including their land and a car

But something happened on the night she was to travel to Lagos for her trip the next day, her international passport and all her documents got missing
They had a visitor and all fingers were pointing to the visitor

They did all they could that night, involved the police and other security agents just to make sure the visitor brought out the passport and travel documents from where it was hidden but to no avail

They were all devastated, the mother was inconsolable, every effort to find it, prove abortive

As God will have it, few years later she picked herself up and started her travelling process again, she went ahead and did all the necessary arrangements, it was few months to her travelling date.
On a fateful night, she was asleep and felt the urge to wake up, she opened her eyes unconsciously and found her mother searching her bags, she waited patiently to see what will happen, she (mother) took her documents, went quietly outside and put it on the ground, she was about setting it ablaze when my friend shouted MOTHER!!!

I don't know if this also happens in your house.

Whenever it's time to go back to school, my siblings would cry. Most especially my younger sister. A day or two days before I'm to go back, aunty will lose appetite and be extremely quiet. I'd catch her sobbing quietly. It would break my heart.

I would even be thinking of staying back😂

On the day I'm to travel, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Tears upandan.

Even my mum would become emotional.

Someone that sees when the whole family is escorting me to the junction will think I'm going away for thirty years.

My mum would walk beside me. Her wrapped tied loosely up to her bosom with a gown beneath. At intervals, she'd use the end of the wrapper to wipe her eyes.

She'd be telling me to be strong even though she's the one crying.

My siblings would trail behind. Chin down with a very sad expression. My sister won't even be able to look me in the eyes.

Finally, a vehicle would stop and I'd get in struggling with my bags with my dad closely behind me.

My mom and siblings would keep waving till the vehicle is out of sight while wiping the corner of their red eyes and sniffing.

I'd sigh and look at my dad sitting beside me.

'Dad, you know I'm a big girl. I know the way to the park'

He'd smile softly. His eyes lighting up and crinkling by the sides.

'I know but you're still my baby'

Knowing I wouldn't win the argument, I'd stare out the window.

The park is where the trouble begins.

My dad would walk around telling whoever cares to listen, his young daughter is already in the University, with a proud look on his face.

Then they would start shouting "wow wow" like siren while I stand there like a goat wishing the ground would open up and swallow me.

He'd take it far by going to meet the driver to take care of me, his precious child as I was going back to the University after the holiday.

It might get to a point I'd have to put my phone on flight mode for a while.

There was a time I was going back to school and the vehicle spoilt at Benin. We had to lodge at a hotel there since it was very late at night.

My parents told me not to sleep at all but pray till the next morning. They said it's not safe as i don't know the place and anything could happen.

I didn't listen sha. The next morning i woke up to my whole body filled with bites from bedbugs.

My mum said it's because I didn't listen to her. If i was awake praying, it wouldn't have happened.

My younger cousin got 6million as an inheritance from his late mother last year

When he told me about it, I adviced him to use one million and go back to school cause he dropped out in his final year,
clear he’s results and go for youth service so he proudly say he’s a graduate

Then use one 1m to buy a plot of land that will appreciate over time

Put the remaining 4m on fixed deposit, since he’s not so business oriented and enjoy the interest

While at youth service, he should survive with his 33k allowance like others and plan on what business he has intrest in after NYSC

Well, I didn’t know that my advice fell on deaf ears , because in less than 1 week

Oga bought a car, not just any type of car but a highlander for 4.5m

I think he used about 500k for refurbishments of the car (fixing it to he’s taste)

He also moved from he’s one room self contain apartment to a nicely furnished 3 bedroom

He became a big boy and got a lot of attention from the opposit gender

Within four months he’s car had a gear box issue which costed over 500k

Other issues came up that he had to sell the keep 1.9m

From that 1.9m, he didn’t lower he’s standard o

He continued enjoying he’s fresh boy status

Now, the money is remaining 200k

He called this morning to ask I give him business ideas and claimed he wants to be serious with life this time.😀😀

Please what business can he start with 200k cause my own advise has finished.

How I spent 18k on buying yams due to the recent scarcity of cash.

That was last week, immediately the news spread that banks are beginning to reject old naira notes, I remembered that I had some cash that amounted 18k in my pocket that evening.

I was frustrated, because everyone rejected the money, they were all old notes.

I had to rush to Karu market after work, with the intention of spending all old notes- buying things I never wanted instead of letting them waste in my hand like that.

Luckily, I found someone who took my old notes. A yam seller inside the market. I asked if he still accepts the old naira, he said yes. He say nothing concern am.

I found myself lucky and immediately asked him to check total cost of his yams and he said 22k after much calculations.

This would have been a time for much bargain, but as desperate as I was, I told him I will pay 19 thousand for the tubers and he agreed.

He collected the old notes and I proceeded with a transfer of extra 1k to his account.

He emptied his wheelbarrow of yams and helped me load them in a tricycle (Keke) that brought me home.

Buying those tubers was totally out of my plans, even for the whole year I never intended to buy yams in that quantity, just that it will hurt me to loose that money.

I got home that night and told my entire household to get ready, because we go chop yam tire for this house.

Nobody dey eat anything again for this house since that day, it's either porridge yam or boiled yam and oil... Yam sef don show for my forehead...😩

BSc and HND are different Educational qualifications. You will get BSc certificate if you attend University and you will get HND certificate if you attend polytechnic. No doubt there are a lot of educational differences between the students of universities and polytechnics. For you to gain admission into universities, you have to score over 200 in your JAMB and post jamb. But once you score 160 in jamb you can enter any polytechnic in Nigeria.

Let see 5 things of out what BSc Graduates can do that HND Graduates Can not do

1. Going for master directly.

HND can not go for his master directly after his HND degree without doing PGD. Even if you graduate with distinction, no universities in Nigeria will admit you for masters unless you do that PGD but BSc Graduate can go for his master directly.

2. BSc can Lecture HND but HND can not lecture BSC.

BSc Graduate can be Employed into polytechnic to Become a lecturer. But no University will employ an HND holder into a university system to lecture University students

3. HND can not become Doctor

HND Graduate can not become a medical doctor. Only people that attend University can become Medical doctors.

4. BSc can Become Enginner. HND can only Become a technician

BSc can become an engineer while HND can only because a technician

5. HND cannot rise Above level 14 while BSc can rise to Level 17 in Civil Service

HND graduate cannot rise above level 14 except such a person acquires an additional degree (PGD) for his or her conversion to officer cadre that terminates at Grade Level 17. BSc can rise above grade level 14 to 17 before retire.

She was laughing while telling me. She then said that her boyfriend found out about us too, I was like "BOYFRIENDDDDDD?" She said yeah that she had one. I told her that I'd step down then, likeeee, I'd stop the whole thing. She said I shouldn't, that even if I do, she wouldn't.😅 Omo, at some point I became angry and unsettled. Whyyyyy?
