You must know when to hold on and when to walk away either in small loss or big win .
Most noobs threw away their massive gains back to the market thinking it could still multiply..
As I always advice, never push back your all your crypto gains to the market again.
Never !
Invest the gains in physical business. Invest in yourself.
Cz never pushed all his BTC profits to the market instead he built binance and binance gives him more fame and money.
Is never late boys and girls, the coming bullrun will be massive. I was part of few that predicted the actual time of the last bullrun. This time again, stay tuned !!!

Food › Re: What is the true situation of rice in Nigeria? How much does it cost? by Rubyjade: 3:15pm On Aug 12, 2023 |
ivolt: That is not the full picture. Local rice of the same quality as foreign rice is expensive to produce and the foreign rice producers have achieved economies of scale. When Buhari closed border, foreign rice didn't completely disappear, it just became more costly because of the extra importation cost; bribery, seizure and others.
My post is about comparison of the price of imported vs foreign rice not general inflation. The reason the price didn't crash despite foreign influx is inflation.
Your solution is neither feasible nor sustainable. Who should increase availability? Farmers or government? Assuming you could magically increase availability and have a rice glut and temporary price crash. Commercial rice farmers will simply shift to another industry because it will no longer be profitable for them and the market will readjust itself.
Nobody invest in rice farming to feed people, they do it profit. Well, there is one other way to reduce price of rice. Local subsidies. #fact because how is the foreign rice getting into the market yet we have customs manning the borders. |

BOSSkesh: Na wah oh Life's is 100% better when no one know anything about you. You're at peace with yourself when you mind your own business. You shouldn't take advice from people who're not where you want to be in life. Life doesn't wait for you to be okay. Get up everyday and keep pushing through. Never force anyone to choose you. You'll learn the art to spend time alone. Master your emotions. A calm mind can handle any situation. To avoid disappointment, you need to take people for who they're not for what you want them to be. Everyone will show you who they're, just give them time. Ensure you take good care of yourself, if anything happens to you, the world will move on. Nobody cares, work hard to get better everyday. If you don't work to build your own dream, someone will hire you and give you a purpose. Free yourself from the society's advice, most of them have no idea of what they're doing. You need to be smart enough to create your opportunities, don't wait for them to come to you. |

*£1 = ₦1005* *$1 = ₦897* *€1 = ₦835*
*ATTENTION*
*In case you don't know the root cause of our problems today, please take time out and read below:*
*As of 25/07/2022, the exchange rates were:*
*£1 = ₦800* *$1 = ₦670* *€1 = ₦662*
*42 years ago, precisely on 25/07/1980 the exchange rate was:* *$1 = 0.80k*
*Are you surprised?*
*Well, we were far more productive in 1980 than we are today.*
*In 1980 the key reasons for economic growth were as follows:*
*1. We were a net exporter of refined petroleum products. Today we import all our refined petroleum products.*
*2. We rode in locally assembled cars, buses and trucks. Peugeot cars in Kaduna and Volkswagen cars in Lagos.*
*3. Leyland produced trucks/buses in Ibadan and ANAMCO in Enugu also produced buses and trucks.*
*4. Steyr in Bauchi produced our Agricultural tractors. And it was not just Assembly, we were producing many of the components:*
*5. Vono products in Lagos produced the vehicle seats.* *6. Exide in Ibadan produced the batteries, not just for Nigeria but for the entire West Africa.*
*7. IsoGlass and TSG in Ibadan produced the windshields.*
*8. Ferrodo in Ibadan produced the brake pads and discs*
*9. Dunlop produced Tyres in Lagos and Michelin Tyres were produced in Port Harcourt. And I mean tyres produced from rubber plantations located in Ogun, Bendel and Rivers State.*
*10. We were listening to Radio and watching television sets assembled in Ibadan by Sanyo.*
*11. We were using refrigerators, freezers and Airconditioners produced by Thermocool and Debo.*
*12. We were putting on clothes produced from the UNTL Textile Mills in Kaduna and Chellarams in Lagos. They were Not from imported cotton but from cotton grown in Nigeria.*
*13. Our water was running through pipes produced by Kwalipipe in Kano and Duraplast in Lagos .*
*14. Our toilets were fitted with WC produced in Kano and Abeokuta.*
*15 We were cooking with LPG gas stored inside gas cylinders produced at the NGC factory in Ibadan.*
*16. Our electricity was flowing through cables produced by the Nigerian Wire and Cable, Ibadan; NOCACO in Kaduna and Kablemetal in Lagos and Port Harcourt.*
*17. We had Bata and Lennards Stores producing the shoes we were putting on. The shoes were not from imported leather but from locally tanned leather in Kaduna*.
*18. We were mainly flying our Airways, (the Nigeria Airways), to most places in the world. The Nigeria Airways was about the biggest in Africa at the time*.
*19. Most of the foods we ate were grown or produced in Nigeria*.
*We were producing all of the above and many more in 1980*
*Today, we import almost everything. Isn't that alarming?*
*There lies the source of the terrible exchange rate we are experiencing today and everyone reading this has a critical role to play in reversing this very UGLY trend.* *We have been talking about these problems and more for ages.*
*It is not enough for us to complain about the exchange rate or point out what others are not doing or are failing to do. The key questions are:*
*1. What are we producing now?* *2. What role are our so- called Leaders/ Politicians of today playing?*
*We are forever shying away from responsibility whereas it is a stack reality and if we don't deal with it, it won't go away. In fact it will get worse*.
*To our dear Politicians, if you don't have the capacity to RESET Nigeria to what it was at least back in 1980 then please stay in your house and don't waste our time.*
*ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!!*
*Please share widely on all platforms for Nigerians.* |

What are some money saving tips? 1.Don’t use credit cards - You buy the items, which you don’t want from the money you don’t own! I spent more than 100k from credit cards & paid hefty interests. It took almost 8 years for me to get rid of them!
2. Don’t smoke - I spent almost 450,000 per year on cigarettes when I was smoking actively. I am spending this money on reading books and travel now.
3.Don’t drink – I spent approximately 6,500,000 per year on drinks. Now I am investing same money in stocks.
4.Don’t take emotional decisions on money matter a) When I built my house in my hometown , I wanted it to be the tallest building in our area. I did it ! But it was a wrong decision. I spent extra 10m foolishly on a liability.
b) Once I was travelling back to my hometown after attending a function. I was waiting for a bus along with my 1 year old son and wife. It was a small village and there was no major bus stop. We waited almost 30 to 45 mins . I told to my wife “First thing we have to do after going to villa is to buy a car !” . After 3 weeks , I was driving this
5. Walk 1 hour daily
6. Carry a water bottle from home when you go out
7. Don’t shop on empty stomach
8. Buy amazon prime membership
9. Start noting down all the expenses. Even as small as #1 naira
10. Ask for 10% discount when you goto any medical stores. They generally give.
11.Avoid Junk food
12. Don’t buy clothes unnecessarily
-I have 75 + shirts , 25 + T shirts & 15+ Jeans . But most of the time, I don’t use many of them.
13. Read books on money management
14. Avoid complete intake of sugar
15. Don’t buy costly phone

Car Talk › Re: How Do You Calculate Your Car's Fuel Consumption? by Rubyjade: 12:49pm On Aug 10, 2023 |
Fuel saver read about snake oil to get your answer but in all it doesn't work. Injector cleaner is used to clean injectors but rarely recommended because it mostly does more harm than good, injectors are cleaned using water bathe, more effective. Octane booster is the only genuine one I know and only for cars with premium fuel required tot recommended. REQUIREd means it's a must and engine may fail if something else is used RECOMMENDED means can use non premium fuel won't fail but won't give the optimum operation. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Which Creative Way Can We Go Please With The Subsidy Removal & Effects On SALARY by Rubyjade(op): 5:36pm On Aug 09, 2023 |
What are problems that could be lucrative to solve in Nigeria? I believe it is important to have a mindset that looks to add value to people, help people, contribute to the society. When we add value, the money would come. There are many problems in Nigeria that need urgent attention and creative solutions. The importance of technology in problem-solving is essential.
The internet is a medium that connects people, the successful tech companies (Google, Facebook etc) at their core connect people - they connect people to other people, they connect people to the things they love, to things they need.
Concepts that would help me find a problem to solve is asking questions like "How can I connect people to things they need? ", "How do I make life easier for people (myself inclusive), more convenient, much more enjoyable? ".
In answering these questions, look around you, the problems are right there, staring at you, waiting to be solved. They are problems you face yourself, if it affects you, you can be sure it affects some other people.
Some problems include: 1. Poor service at restaurants get overlooked all the time Solution: Create a website/app that helps people review service at restaurants in an area.
2. High rate of unemployment Solution: Teach people valuable skills e.g. Graphic Design, Photography, etc to help them become self-employed.
3. Inconsistent Power supply Solution: Design an affordable solar power system for households. The electricity bill has been passed, this is a great opportunity.
4. Traffic-jamin Lagos/Subsidy removal in Nigeria Solution: Car-pooling; charpell has started this - https://www.nairaland.com/7655248/diary-jobless-developer-creating-startup create a website/app that connects drivers and passengers.
When you do decide on a problem to solve, please focus on that problem, persevere and you will be successful. I wish you all the best, and I believe you can indeed make life better for us all while making a healthy profit |
Properties › Re: Solar Inverters: Cost Implication, Durability And Issues by Rubyjade: 5:33pm On Aug 09, 2023 |
favoryt: I really appreciate your response. Thank you!
I need to mention that I stopped using the inverter and battery as soon as it stopped charging, I worked from a friend's place whenever there's no power till I got the battery charger, neither did I ever use it when it's low. You need to see how I pamper it cos it's important to my job. As soon as it beeps once I turn it off immediately! and the beeping sound only started happening when I started charging with an external battery charger and this is because it doesn't last beyond 2 hours.
So it's most likely number 1, the guy installed a fake Chinese battery without warranty for me and failed to let me know. Funny enough I got to know him from nairaland here!
Please can the battery still be redeemed, if yes, please let me know how to go about it, if not, kindly tell me more about the laptop battery bank as I haven't heard of it before. If I knew about it before I wouldn't have gone for the inverter honestly. The information I'd like to know is: How much should I budget for the laptop battery bank if I have to go for it, and what quality should I look out for to forestall any issues in future. Get lithium if you have the cash |
