Romance › Re: My Fiancee Said We Must Have A House Before Getting Married by Rubyjade: 2:08pm On Sep 12, 2023 |
LewisHamilton15: Last week I proposed to my long time girlfriend and fiancee and she accepted me.
We discussed a whole range of topics and we are convenienced that we can live our lives together. But one thing we disagree on is the issue of house: she said we must build a house together before settling down but I suggested we tie the knot and live in a rented apartment before planning to build our personal house but she insisted we must build.
She said we will contribute money to build together, she won't leave me alone in the project. She even suggested withdrawing her savings of #250, 000 so we can buy land. I have the money and apart from my daily hustle I have other side businesses that springs me money occasionally.
I want to settle down as soon as possible but she cited the problems that comes along with living in a rented apartment. I really wish to settle down but this lady won't agree.
I don't want to cause problem between us so how do I go about convincing her? There types are rare, women think 🤔 about the future of a man, while man think about the past of women. Her type are rare among my genders, don't loose this opportunity. How many ladies would even think of withdrawing to buy an investment together with their partners?. THINK 🤔 🤔 When by buying the name should be Mr LewisHamilton15 & Mrs (her name) and not Mr&Mrs LewisHamilton15 If you are not comfortable with the advice here, run it through your mentor or someone older than you in your family. |

It may not be instant but make a plan to move out maybe if you've got 500k and look for a saner place to stay.
Don't let age catch up with you there because all your investments, life may be burnt down at the slightest provocation. What's your reason? |

 Ifesinachi22: I lost 2 million dollars today.
It was my fault. After buying my normal pre market stock, I went back to the app to check again and another stock has overtaken the one i bought. Greed made me to still use the free fund i had to buy the new Number one pre market gainer. When the market opened, the two orders were executed as usual and it went into red like it always does the first minute, the loss was so big because i was losing in two stocks and i didn't have enough money left to carry the weight of the two loses which was running into - 400k plus.
So T212, quickly sold some of my stocks on my behalf so i won't run into negative balance, went back and bought those stocks again. Before i knew what was happening, i was already -2 million plus down.
I lost 2million today. So sad |

First thing is to determine your risk appetite before venturing into any investment. NL1960: Not really easy to be patient with stocks especially when you see the returns on MMF. Was patient on FCMB for 5years. It is just when the new government came in that it started to move and got to N6. I sold on Friday and will be moving the funds to MMF.
The same thing happened to First Bank. Was between N7-N9 for many years before it started moving after the new government came in. It is now at N18. Will just watch it for few more weeks before determining to sell and move the funds to MMF. Stock market is not for the faint hearted at all. |

CaptainFM1: The opposite is what I'm experiencing here. Virtually all my friends have Japa to various part of the world. I don't feel lonely because of the community system we embraced here in Nigeria. Instead all my friends overseas are feeling lonely and bored. They will engage me on long WhatsApp group video call almost everyday. And somehow, I'm getting tired of these their calls. Nigeria bad, Nigeria bad, there's always that home feeling Nigeria offers that they can't get over there. Go to BIGO and see Nigerian abroad on live broadcast for hours |

Chigozie321: I'm better off financially here but my main reason is apart from my flexible salaried job, I have some side hustle that I can't effectively supervise if I am not in the country. ecolime: No be everybody fit Japa na. Some have thriving businesses while some have health issues that can't allow them hustle abroad. Yes, business accepted but health issues should be the number 1 reason to even leave because our health sector is in a comatose. I saw a hospital in Scotland (hospital be like 5 star hotel). My Uncle was ill (while he was abroad), if you see the way we were praying and fasting, he called and said they have done the operation in less than 96hrs and he would be discharged in 48hrs. Same case in Nigeria, he probably would have been dead and even if you try the useless HMO we have in this country, the case would have been worse off. Shebi na Teaching Hospital Lift kill Doctor and yet nobody has been brought to book. A governor wearing over 160m naira watch yet millions can barely feed. |
