Nice photos... So? |
They sent you to go and fight for your people's stolen rights, and you went there to start cutting cakes! A very funny looking birthday cake at that! Talk of priorities.. Lol. This is a country where power actually concedes nothing without a struggle. Let's wait and see how singing ,"happy birthday to you..", will bring back stolen oil wells. Jesters all of them.. |
Much Ado about nothing.. Albino lion and the photographer wants to trend with it.. |
Fashola is one unrepentant closet tribalist... |
NGpatriot:How do they say it? Patriotism is the last refuge for scoundrels... |
They should reduce the quantity of human activities at that upper iweka.. it's too crowded |
Gerrard59:I totally agree with you. The way westerners relate to Chinese 30 years ago is not the way they do now. Lots of respect these days. It boils down to Chinese economic power and the attendant affluence of her people. Economic success will attract respect both on a national level or personal level. Seen a situation in Asia where locals who see black American athletes and musicians as idols struggle to barely tolorate black people from Africa. Have also noted that the more afluent you are, or your country is, the more you unconsciously force folks to respect you or at least make them not to mistreat you. But a better part of my earlier post was as it regards disentangling the mindset of a typical African from the deblitating effects of feeling inferior to other cultures in order to build the confidence to succeed. Because it's only when you succeed that you become "affluent". Essentially, I am talking about how we get there. You can't achieve a remarkable level of economic success, if you lack that self confidence. And if you feel inferior before other cultures, you obviously will struggle with confidence while competing. It's only when students are shown role models that look like them that they are somewhat challenged to do that which can be done. Otherwise, tht mindset that certain level of research and inventions/innovations are for certain races will continue to prevail.. |
Juliusmalema:Politics is always local. And he can't be so invested on the world stage when his immediate constituency is lacking behind. |
adadike:Lol, You know all these technocrats are not too good with exhibitionism.. I just think as an experienced technocrat who has been around for a while, he might be good for ndi Anambra.. just thinking.. |
adadike:He's just a technocrat naa. Might be rich but certainly not in the league of typical Anambra billionaires with excess cash to 'do and undo'.. |
RuudVanNisteroy:Slowly, the reason why they fought a greedy war and committed genocide to put, is coming out.... Once you live longer, the truth will always come out.. |
Wickedfact:No section of Nigeria in this site critizes politicians from their neck of the woods like the igbos! Don't take my words for it, do your research here. This lazy man's argeument that the igbos defend their politicians while fixating on others is not just puerile, it's as baseless as it's misleading. Igbos have even beaten up the top most politician from igboland! As in physically humiliating the man. . Face the topic and stop shouting Igbo this or Igbo that. If you feel igbos are not hammering away enough on their so-called politicians, start a thread on those then proceed to rant and rave as you deem fit. Stop defending a certified crook simply because two of you shear identical tribal marks.. |
Coldie:Because of the inherent inferiority complex exhibited by most Nigerians in their relationship with folks with "fair skin". In the north, Lebanese are pratically worshiped. They are fair skinned, they are Arabs, brothers to Mohammed! Even if you are from Laos, you will be worshiped here and given contracts before Nigerian engineers trained even in the best schools in the world. Such reverence encourages these folks with greater confidence/arrogance to gain more access to the political elite in the country. Infact, that Chagoury man was once accused of trying to forment a coup in this country! The British racist colonial episode did a lot of violence on the confidence of the locals. A whole lot of Africans genuinely believe that the white guy, Irrespective of which country he's coming from is genetically superior to the black guy, no matter where the black guy is coming from or the level of education. You see this world view expressed with different levels of humiliating behaviors. We need to insert some vigorously "pro-black" topics in our academic curriculums from the primary school to the tertiary levels to help the young do away with this kind of self-depreciating mentality. There should be a conscious effort to revert the trend. |
OneTemplate:Say something meaningful to the topic for once and stop foaming at the mouth as if you're going through your normal bipolar episode.. |
RuudVanNisteroy:Talk of the stockholm syndrome.. |
RuudVanNisteroy:Folks, this man is a tragedy to Nigerias political development and needs to be quickly shunted into a dingy jail where he rightly belongs.. Pablo Hushcobar Tinubu actually has a drug case in the US! It's not propoganda, that is a fact! This man's legacies in Lagos politics includes burdening the over violated citizens of Nigeria leaving in that state with endless increases in taxes.. This is a man who imposed his own company as the "tax collector" of the state he governed for 8 solid years, raking in 10% of funds collected as a result every term! This is a man, who after looting his state to it's foundations, went further to instigate a sumptuous "pension scheme" for ex governors to guarantee an endless sleaze. This is a man who set up emergency construction companies to be receiving contracts awards from governors imposed by him! He even got rid of a governor because he wasn't garnishing his contracts enough.. That's after collecting all sorts of kick backs from different fronts...Obviously, he can't stop helping himself with public funds! This is a man who turned Lagos youths into layabouts by institutionalising and incentifying the culture of Agberoism! A bloody political culture that has led to violent elections, avoidable deaths during elections and a general culture of violence in Lagos politics with disturbing ripple effects elsewhere. Today Lagos is synonymous with Awawa boys and one million boys! This thing went as far as cornering juicy government lands and property for personal use, imposed relatives on lagosians as government officials and representatives and basically turned the commercial center of the country into his personal fiefdom! He still has murder accusation as it regards the killing of his major political opponent hanging on his head.. The list is endless To see a perculiar but weird strand of the Nigerian youths still finding it convenient enough to defend this man, who is nothing but a gigantic monument to perfidy, kleptomania and gangsterism..., its overwhelmingly alarming! |
Tinubu is terrible |
They have refused to return! E shock him. He's now buying them toys to entice them back.. |
Erojepromise:How about setting up an "industrial bank" that will lend specifically to savvy fresh graduates with very intelligent business plans? In which case, couple of graduating students can bond together, come up with practicable ideas on how to venture into certain fields. With the help of investment specialist, they can flesh up these ideas and once it's certified by the bank, funds for start up can be provided? Such funds can come from recovered loots by corrupt government officials.. |
Bagehot:Very good take! But I did mention the need to have skill acquisition centers. If you have researched on institutions like this, you will notice that the Germans and the Chinese have some of the best skill acquisition programs in the world. So it's no coincedence that both regionally and globally, they're economic power houses. I'm not saying we should concentrate on university degrees, I'm saying that we don't have enough professionals as at today, when you juxtspose the number of say doctors or engineers or pharmacists or teachers or economists vis a vis the population of the country. We are actually having shortages in almost every field. The lack of employment is a function of a mismanaged economy not that of a saturated economy. How many doctor per citizen in Nigeria? Ditto nurses? Compared to the Asian tigers, have we even started the mega construction of the country? So we will still need engineers. That said, there is an urgent need to set up more quality school acquisition centers. And again, more importantly, the academic curriculum for our schools, especially the tertiary institutions are way too obsolete and outdated. We need to tie learning to praticals and then find a more workable way of offloading graduates into factories and offices. One reason why Nigerian graduates tremble at the mention of "business start ups" is because the curriculum in school never prepared him or her to be a job Creator. He was only prepared to be very savvy on how to go for job interviews and carry files around offices.. |
That chagoury man has been looting Nigeria since the days of Babangida. I remember how npThe Newswatch and The News magazines ran endless articles on that man and his brother with their company Chagoury and Chagoury" those days. To think that more than 30 years after, these men are still on it is unbelievable. Most Lebanese construction firms in Nigeria, especially in the north where they are very popular are conduit pipes for siphoning government funds... They reach agreements with governors, ministers, commissioners and co to inflate contract sums randomly. Once inflated, they get paid the inflated sums after shoddy works. Thereafter, while repatriating their profits back home, they will then take the extra cut for the government officers involved to some "dedicated accounts" offshore! Very corrupt lebanese all over this unfortunate country.. |
Bighead5:Have you blamed IPOB today? |
obembet:Eye go clear all man... |
Them dey hear am for north... Na them order for this container,. E don arrive! I remember when Babangida Aliyu, former governor of Niger state was scolding Jonathan for trying to reform the almajiri system. According to him, "it's their culture" and so nobody should interfere.. Now those kids without formal education and skills have grown to jobless men! The rest is history.. chicken is back home to roost! |
IamD18:Heeey
|
cktheluckyman:They have disappeared... Very strange characters |
Tango123:How many graduates are there in the whole Nigeria? Go and check, comparatively you have fewer graduates per population compared to other developing countries like malaysia, Indonesia Thailand or even Egypt. You can argeu for a need to set up funds to help graduates start their own companies bbut you can't argue against more educated citizenry. That's a warped narrative caused by Nigerias frustrating environment.. Moreover folks should learn to start off money making companies and stop depending on government for employment.? |
Them go use this one for akara.. |
AsomughaChuks05:How is he a 419er? Because he said he will build schools? I don't understand. |
Good idea.. It's my belief that most kids in the streets might be in the universities if they were born elsewhere. . The major problem is lack of space in the universities and lack of equipment. He should look into building school acquisition centers too. Quality ones. Germany and China have tht to thank for their astonishing productivity level. The east should be churning out professionals yearly! Our people are academicaly inclined. If there's a real plan too provide those fresh graduates with soft loans to start off, that will help tremendously. |
Juliusmalema:I just think every pressure group should be accommodated. We should train our eyes on the common enemy. When we get to the promise Land, we can then start to choose who and who should be recognized or not. |
whytediamond:Now that I have noticed you, can you go and sell those slippers and sandals so you can make that money and take care of that beutiful baby? |
