This should normally be bad news as a lower dollar to naira exchange rate encourages massive importation thus encouraging consumerism.

But since we want all the borders opened and 1 dollar to one naira; let's embrace importation of everything from pencil to toothpick because no manufacturing sector can compete locally and internationally.

I wish the dollar stays high but local production be ramped up to meet national demand and some products with which we have high comparative advantage (ability to massively supply) should be banned.

The problem is that the country is producing nothing! You first have to be productive enough before employing such fiscal/monetary policies otherwise people will starve. The labor force is not organized, the industrialization level is still slow, so how can the people cope if imports are costly since there are basically no Loca alternatives?

Sanwo-Olu and Tinubu need to be investigated for the looting of Igbo properties in Lagos! The army Chief directly fingered the Lagos governor for lifting the curfew against security advise allowing Yoruba hoodlums to cart away people's chard earned properties. The army also disclosed that it was igbos that lost most of their wares. It's also instructive that while the looting was going on, the Lagos State political machinery was in the forefront spreading the rumor that "outsiders want to destroy Lagos"! In the end it's has been proved beyond reasonable doubt that it was Awawa boys and one million boys that were vigorously looting Igbo properties while the Lagos State government looked the other way.. That is evil and must be investigated! You don't raise your young as touts and expect to use other people's property to do palliative for them when hunger and want becomes their companion.
