Which investors were there before? Or you just want to run your mouth. With the intentional concentration of federal structural investments in Lagos, has there been anytime that the south East has been a favorite spot for any sort of serious global investments? You have to go to Lagos to clear your goods and to fly out of the country if you're from the SE. The South East has the worst network of roads in Africa. The lowest level of power supply in the country. Cities like Onitsha run on bore holes! No serious power stations, no train tracks! Almost all the airports were built by either the collective help of the people or by the state governments! Onitsha main market was already in ruins and haven't been renovated effectively since the end of the war!

The South East gets the lowest in revenue allocations, the lowest political representations in government because of fake census figures and federal government inspired gerrymandering of the local electoral structures. The current president told international bodies to target their financial and economic aid towards the North only. The East has always been over militarized with endless police checkpoints even before Nnamdi Kanu came along with IPOB. In almost every sector, an apartheid political system cultivated by an utterly vindictive federal Nigeria ensures that the South East is deprived of funds and breathing space! Those acts of executive terror don't worry you, right? You're more scandalized by just IPOB and ESN. What happened to your conscience?

Was watching a interview program on AriseTV two days ago, anchored by Sumner Sambo, and there were these two clueless individuals he brought on as guests who said they were the voice of some new, amorphous organisation like that….and representing the ‘aborigines’ of Niger Delta! It’s like all they were interested in was having a go at Ndigbo….blaming Igbos’ for almost all their woes and saying we marginalised them politically and economically and implied we murdered millions of them during the uncivil war! The said Ndigbo have no territory within their catchment area that included Rivers (where i’m from), Bayelsa, Akwa-Ibom and Cross-Rivers states, and said no inch of their ‘territory’ will be ceded to anyone! They went on to blame IPOB for engaging in criminality, murder and intimidation in their ‘territory’, wondering why IPOB chose to have a presence in Port Harcourt when Umuahia, Owerri, etc, are there! They purported to speak for the Ikwerre by saying the Ikwerre ARE NOT IGBO, BUT ORIGINATED FROM EDO! And they then went on to accuse the very same people (Ikwerre) of marginalising them politically in Rivers state…saying upland had hogged the governorship since 1999!

Watching the entire charade unfolding before my eyes (of course Sumner Sambo never took them to task on some of the outlandish claims they were making), it was clear what i was watching was the voice of Jacob but the hand of Esau! There is an ongoing underground campaign against Ndigbo and their position in Eastern Nigeria by the Fulani hegemony, and their main points-man in the region to help them do this are some Ijaw! They have seen that even without Rivers state, Ndigbo still have access to the sea once Akwa/Cross is either an independent country of their own or they are not part of anti-Igbo blockade that would stretch from Rivers state all the way to Cross-River state! Shrinking Igbo territory….denying us access to our hydrocarbons…..and denying us access to the sea is what all this is about! The endgame is to either discourage IPOB from their bid for secession….or if that doesn’t work, try to ensure a newly emergent Alaigbo Republic would be frustrated economically and that as much hydrocarbons as possible still remain in what’s left of ‘one Nigeria’ for the Fulani hegemony and their southern cheerleaders to gorge on!

The tragedy of the whole situation is that the so called Igbo elites who are supposed to be the ones articulating the narratives essential for explaining the whole plots and evil machinations to ordinary igbos in order to have an effective push back, are very busy angling for all sorts dubious political positions in Abuja, just to fester their own nets.. The present generation of Igbo elites, peopled by the likes of Okorocha, Orji Kalu, Anyim, Obi and co, are totally removed from the reality of the Igbo situation and are operating in their own separate universe..

What concerns the igbos If Jonathan contests? You mapp out your own strategy and work assiduously on that. Jonathan blew his chances by himself and we should never entertain his presidency again.
