This proves that every system remains vulnerable irrespective of the level of sophistication..., especially when a power hungry egomaniac is in charge. Who would have predicted 5 years ago that peaceful transition of power will be a highly debated topic in American politics. We always thought they are some sort of super humans with perfect institutions.. now these... |
One power plant in South Africa produces more electricity than the whole of Nigeria! And guess what? It's coal fired! Coal that is sprouting like grass all over enugu suburbs.... When riff-raffs run a country... |
Ghana has a fulani population in the northern part of the country too just like Nigeria. But unlike Nigeria, the Ghanaians do everything to make sure that nomadic herders don't become presidents. Met a Ghanaian once who was wondering how the fulani became so powerful in Nigeria when in Ghana they walk with their tails in between their legs...... You can't hand governance over to the custodians of the most retrogressive culture around and still expect rapid modernisation....... Simple! |
Will send one of my boys to check that up... Need to add one more to my fleet... |
Lol She nominated Ozo ooo and even went to the diary room to campaign for his eviction. One entitled biiitch That gal na case |
Hisbah is now the police in northern Nigeria? |
Coat of arms looking like the flag of amadioha.. that of Lagos always reminds me of a shrine... |
Can't they get themselves a healthy looking golf course since they seem inclined to identify with the sport at every opportunity. I mean that place looks so revolting |
FarahAideed:I don't think the American president asked the Daurra Disaster why he was killing Christians in Nigeria just off the cuff... They must have serious Intel on him to ask him such question directly... We hear of helicopters flying in weapons to insurgents in the north and yet nothing happens.. The westerners know the game being played here, just that at this time, they most probably are getting all the need economically from Nigeria. |
Nigerias image was ruined beyond redemption during the NADECO days.. People tend to overlook this period in Nigerias history a lot. But this was actually the first time a huge chunk of Nigerian elite decided to run away from the country after being out played by Abacha. Day in day out, the likes of Tinubu, soyinka, fahwemi, falana, kuti, sani, ubani, abiola, and many many others took turns to move from one western news house to the other slamming nigeria in the most uncouth way possible! Western politicians recruited them and used them to advance western interests here without some of them knowing... It all looked justified then to hammer away at Abacha/Nigeria but that also opened the door for many western powers who hitherto respected Nigeria a bit because of issues related to racism and decolonization in Africa to step in and start to more or less to order Nigeria around. Nigerias reputation took a nosedive afterwards and we Al of a sudden started reading of even government officials having dogs unleashed at them at western airports. Abachas response was mooted! Remember this was almost during the first gulf war. Lots of dictators took note! Abacha died and the western lords never stopped. Forget all the talks about scams and all that, Chinese Nationals do far worse but you seldom read of their international crimes because internationally, their government is feared. Mexicans and Columbians push far more drugs, but Nigerians get the bad rap. Always... |
Cashsteady:Looks like you are going through your normal bipolar spasm.... Ijiots on steroids. |
DexterousOne:They are actually all Abuja made. Just imagine!? Buhari is biulding a gas pipeline into Niger and he is also biulding rail tracks into Niger.., who knows of other projects going on there at the moment at nigerias expense. Yet same Buhari will rather die than biuld any such projects in the east from where the money to pay back all these dubious loans are expected to come from! Man, these guys are horrible! |
Meanwhile Buhari told eastern leaders that there is no money to biuld just one single rail track across eastern Nigeria! And there are still some easterners who fervently believe in this evil contraption |
War criminals that should have gone to the Hague sine 1970 took turns to become presidents and the country has never had a respite since then! Compare shagari, yaradua and Jonathan's presidency vs Abacha, Babangida and Buharis bloody tenures and you will know why this country has always had to deal with one violent bloody conflict after the other. These are men who committed maximum genocide! Killing almost 5 million from a population of barely 15 million! With so much blood in their hands, what they needed was councilling sessions to cure them of their traumatic disorders.. But you made them presidents..., Sometimes twice! They have been doing what madmen always do; destroy and disorganize.. Now everybody in at the receiving end.. |
FarahAideed:The Daurra Disaster? The country is on auto pilot... |
Nigeria does not need two houses at the national assembly. Unicameral legislature of less than 100 men is enough. All the country needs to do is to raise the qualifications that should be met to contest for positions at the national assembly, reduce the number and insist on the standardization of the qualifications of the staffs of the assembly members! The same thing with the local government councilors. Though the position looks good on paper, the Nigerian system seems to have rendered them totally useless and ineffective.. Assembly members at the state levels as at today, are more or else rubber stamps to the governors. So what's the use? The overhead costs are high.. Obviously, this country spends a huge chunk of it's revenue feeding fat ijiots all over the place in government offices. |
Shoot them at sight! That's the only way this madness will stop. |
Very funny anyhow in-law |
Diane wey dey claim say she be Virginia that year... It's ok naah |

Buharis legacy is that of blood, tears and pains! What a disaster! |
Arrest Tinubu now! |
I'm not anybody's slave... We make it together, we chop it together... Look at this retired politician with excess cash trying to pontificate for millions of struggling families... |

Cousin9999:Wrong Sir! Western propaganda! Chinese love their country... Unless you are talking about the folks in HK and Taiwan... |
Bobby95:As a result of bad leadership, corrupt elite and ineffective State structures. For the state to work optimally, you need to have good men in charge, politics sanitized and the rule of law entrenched. Political elites/leaders should be able to tweak cultural changes in a way they meet modern demands. States have to be structured in a way that citizens beleive in the state..Tht strong belief in the state leads to nationalism/patriotism which are essential in arousing the population to achieve greater goals. You can't get patriotism in a place like Nigeria where a large chunk of the population is on a perennial battle with say the president or where certain groups feel victimized. Petty criminal behavioral trends like the examples you cited earlier, exist in very society riddled with structural deficiencies. Effective states make good laws and most importantly enforce them! If you don't enforce laws, deviants will always run amock.. |
BigSarah:But Asians are not white na.. I referred to Asian countries because the op was posting pictures from Asian cities. Asians are not whites. Infact, culturally, they showcase far more similar traits closer to Africans than Europeans. I mean as regards to say love for family/family structure, outlook to life etc.... Don't be so certain of Africas inability to grow. China was a farming society few decades ago, the communists had to chase away the previous rulers, look at them now.... Cars, high rises, planes,. Phones, TV's , name them..., Mostly western inventions tht modernised culture globally but today we have Samsung, Hyundai, Toyota, Yamaha, recently Huawei etc, all Asians. First skyscraper was biult in America but the tallest building today is in Asia... What makes you think that in the next 50 years , the tallest building then won't be say in Dakar Senegal, Abidjan or Nairobi? Even if you come last, make sure say you reached the goal. Na so I see am ooo.. Btw, sorry for the name calling on my initial post while quoting yours. Obviously I was enraged. I'll go now to edit that.. |
Bobby95:At the base, the human is hobbesial", that is why we are termed "animals"! We are animals! Black white yellow red animals! African, American, European,Asian animals! Get the point? We are same at the base! Our default settings are crude without laws..So where is the difference? It's the culture, stuupid! I mean, its the culture that makes me and you act out more of our animalistic traits than say the man from Afghanistan. Two people from the same ethnicity can act so totally different when raised in two different countries! Aree you aware? The question then should be: why are we so culturally inclined to move in circles? That is why I mentioned the need for elites in the society to continuously skew cutural rejuvenation towards paths that encourages every one to be accountable to the generally acceptable standards. Lee of Singapore pushed his fishing port society into a modern state, Buhari is marooned in Nigeria and the black man in nigeria suffers as a result...Take ruga for instance! Why is Buhari refusing to force the herders to embibe new farming methods already in use in other climes? That is a typical example of the failure of the elite that I mentioned earlie... If new methods of herding were forced down on the pastoralists, you know what will happen? They will produce more meat, making the dinner table across Nigeria richer, they will produce more milk, they will produce more hide and skin, the herders kids who wonder in the bush with them will start to go to formal schools and avoid more diseases in the bush. Just the effect of one good policy on a nations general psyche.. you can extend this thinking across board.. So the problem is basically tht of administrative failures occasioned by endless bad leadership. Yes bad leaders are part of the us as black people, but it's also true that bad leaders visited every society of the world at a certain stage. Heard of the French,, Russian, American and chinese revolutions? They all happened because of bad leaderships... Africa/blacks will get it right someday, although it's really starked against us, I mean in terms of powerful countries interested in seeing Africa this way. As per pickpockets and all those tiny bad harbits you alluded to... Lol, if them pick your pocket for Asia ehn.. them fit collect your prick join sef.. have seen a Yoruba woman wailing, rolling in the ground somewhere in China because some mischievous locals "picked" over 20k USD from her bag in a very busy street like tht.. they will collect your stuff in front of you and it will even take you hours to know .. |
iramure:The UAE with Dubai is a very serious Moslem state yet they have given the world the most stunning cities. Singaporean laws are firmly rooted in Islamic practices.., you get flogged for chewing gum or graffitis! Saudi Arabia the home of Islam is biulding a new shiny city where liberalism will be the norm! Kuala Lumpur is religiously inclined.... Bottomline: we blame religion toooo much. Some religious countries are also doing better... Change the system that only rockets evil minded people like Obasanjo Buhari and babangida to power and liberalize the process of accessing power so the decent minded can feel free to join politics... Until then, we are stuck with ruganomics... |
